Should a list of updated apps remain on the Updates page?

Before ios 7, as soon as an app would update, the icon and any mention of the update would disappear from the Updates page. Now there is a list there of all the apps that have updated since I installed ios 7. The list is organized by date with headings that say "Updated" followed by the date they were updated. This situation is also true for my iPad Mini. The list of updated apps remains on the Updates page.
Very strange is that the list does NOT appear on the Updates page on my iPad 2. Once the updates are installed on my iPad 2, the icons disappear from the Updates page.

Yes, it is normal.
Check the settings of your iPad 2 and see if you have Updates set to automatic.

I get update notices for my apps but when I click to update my apps remain in the "waiting" and "Pause" state.
I have tried powering down my phone and restarting it to see if that will resovle the problem but it's not correcting the problem.
I have deleted several apps just to remove them.

Try tapping the App, so that it changes to Paused instead of Waiting, then tap it again to resume the install.
Make sure you don't have any paused downloads in other apps either, like the iTunes Store.
You can also try resetting or restoring the iPhone.
And, if that doesn't do it, try contacting Apple through Express Lane.

That's probably a bookmark you have saved in Favorites.
Tap bookmark icon>Favorites>Edit>Delete the bookmark

Why all newly installed Apps appear on the second page of Launchpad?

I'm new to Mac (1y now). Using 10.7.5 on my MacBook Air.
Every time I install an App it appears in the second page of Launchpad and since I don't want to have a second page, I move it back into one of my App groups on the first page, erase the empty page, and next time I install an App it happens again! What's wrong with the endless open space I still have on the first page? Why is that not good enough?

It would appear that the iPhone allows you to create folders, but the device still treats these apps even when they are put in folders as if they take a "Space" on the homescreen. That being said if you have more than a few third party applications installed they would " if you were to unfolder all your apps" end up on the second page.

It could be the work of one of your add-ons, or even add / mal-ware.
Look thru your add-ons list and make sure you know what each one is
there for. Also,
check the programs that are on your computer

A restore loses nothing.
A restore does. If you are using the iphone as designed, then everything should be on your computer.

Problem with Ribbon when multiple List / Library WebPart are added to the same page

I'm working on a SharePoint 2013 custom branding (custom master page and layout).
I added one page layout with several Web Part Zones,

I have a problem, when I add several List View Web Part to the same page, then when I select one list / library, the ribbon is shown, but it is shown with all option disabled.
Any idea?

According to your description, I suggest you check as follows:
1. Please check that whether the ribbon is OK when you use the OOTB feature to add the web part to a page;
2. What if you do the test in IE, will the issue still occur?

Updated apps remain in the Updates list after installing them

Not sure if this is a new "feature" or not...
After going to the App Store on my phone and selecting the "Updates" section, I see I have new updates for some of my apps. I select "Update All" and they all get downloaded and updated on my phone. So far so good. I go back to the App store later and click on "Updates" and all those apps are still in the list, only this time there is a [ OPEN ] button to the right of each app. I really don't want to open 15 apps... Is there another way to get the items in the list to go away (like they used to)?

Would be nice if you could collapse each date section. Just seems distracting to have all thise things in there. I just want to see what needs to be updated. Oh well, not a huge problem, just a nit.

Dynamic list/menu update page

I am using PHP, Mysql. MySQL has different tables. Created list/menu to show data off one of the table that works great and when I select the value and hit the updae button it updates the database correctly. Problem I am having is that when I go to update the page again, it always defaults to the first value of the drop down list.    I need it to remember the value that was selected. So the first example I am posting is pretty much the same idea as what Gunter wrote, Gunter wrote the way to handle it in dreamweaver.
This example is what happens in the code after the DW wizard does its thing.
Right before it submits to the database you can create a session of the value.

You will probably have to make an adjustment to your database input query to handle the array $_POST['cat_id']. I didnt have time to test that part.

You can create your own reports for this purpose using some sql scripting on your application's repository schema. You could pass the below query to an asp/jsp page or to another 3rd party reporting tool. You can then attach the url to the task list of whoever needs to see this. Or simply enough, you can dump the results to an excel file and e-mail it.

I'm using an older version of MacOS10.4.11 and Firefox should have listed in HUGE BOLD LETTERS that the new version wouldn't be compatible.

I'm on 10.4.11 with my macbook pro. Just saw the world IPv4/6 day thing, ran the test, it suggested I upgrade to Firefox 4. You NOW tell me I can't use it on my current MacOS. But ALLLLL of my bookmarks, client sites, etc are stored there.
I'm upgrading my Mac later this summer, but for now I'm w/o ALL of my bookmarks, client sites, UGH. Please advise how to shift back to the previous (and only) version of Firefox that will work on my Mac. Thanks.

When building an iPad HTML5 app, why does the splash page not work correctly in landscape mode?

I have recently completed an HTML5 web app for the ipad and one of the most challenging things about the process was getting the splash screen to work.
I have now succesfully completed the job and the splash screen works, but only under the bizarre condition that the app is first launched in portrait mode. This seems pretty crazy as most people using the ipad for browsing do so in landscape mode.
Has anyone come across this problem and resolved it?

yes, bare in mind this is an HTML5 Web App and not a native app. so yes I have included code for both landscape and portrait modes.
I install the web app and open in portrait, it works. then close and open in landscape, it works.
if i install the app and open in landscape FIRST... then no splash screen ever works.
This isn't just my problem. I've read about in several forums over the past few days while investigating.

My home button keeps sticking. I have to press it about 4 or 5 times to move from an app back to home page. Very frustrating when I want to change apps in a hurry. I have had the phone for just over a year without any problems. This started about three weeks ago. is there anything i can do or must I take the phone back to the supplier?

This is usually caused by gunk building up in and around the button.

Reset time, press and hold both the home and power buttons for 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till your iPad starts on it's own.
