Should  ECC use an local exchange profile?

We know that for PI the exchange profile should always be local.
How about ECC's exchange profile? Should ECC point to its own local exchange profile, OR
should it point  to a remote exchange profile?
Thanks!

Hi,
ECC is pointed to the PI's Exchange Profile to access for example the SLD (proxy generation).

  • Which exchange 2013 setup file should I use ?

    I am seeing exchange 2013 RTM setup file for download from microsoft, as well as exchange 2013 CU3 setup file. This is my first exchange 2013 box. which file should I use to install exchange ?
    Anand_N

    Hi,
    For new installs you should usethe most current build, CU3: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=41175
    Cumulative Update builds are full Exchange server installers so there is no need to install RTM version and then apply CU.

    But While Doing the Following thing i Got the Error like  <u><b>Password logon no longer possible - too many failed attempts </b></u>
    <b>Start the Exchange Profile (http://<host>:<port>/exchangeProfile) and logon with PISUPER. Go to 'Connection' on top of page (don't mix up with connections tree on the left) and set the new client.</b>
    Here I changed The Client And I Given the Password Which we r Using Master PWD. Then This Error Came.
    After this Iam Unable to get Any thing in Exchange Profile. Then What Should I Do Now
    Should I Re import the Exchange Profile Or NOt.
    Please Give me Some Help.
    Regards
    Khanna

    Hi
    Did you fully complete the steps mentioned in the OSS note??
    <i>
    To update the SLD with the new client data, logon to the new client, start transaction RZ70 and press 'Start data collector without Job scheduling'.
          Note: Use the "without Job scheduling" button (F9), so that the SLD is updated immediately. Check the 'last updated' timestamp in the SLD.
    Logon to the SLD. Choose 'Technical Systems' and select your 'WebAS ABAP' system. Tab strip 'Business Systems' shows your system. Select it and change to tab strip 'Integration'. Press 'Change' and select the new client. Don't forget to save !
          Attention: Reboot the XI J2EE Engine after that to insure that XI gets the changes from the SLD and the Exchange Profile.</i>

  • How much CPU should the Agent (in general) be using on an Exchange 2010 Server

    Hello
    Can someone please help me with the following question.
    I was asked by the Exchange admin if the HealthService.exe process should be using around 10% of the CPU on a 6 core system.
    First of I am note sure if the agent can use more than one core and if the % CPU as shown in Task Manager reflects all cores for a given process e.g. does 10% mean 10% across all cores or just one core.
    I explained the Agent is running many workflows and instigating other tasks i.e. monitoring host and perhaps cscript etc. So it is difficult to say how much CPU is normal!
    However does anyone else have an Exchange 2010 environment (I am using SCOM 2007 R2 CU6) and if so how much CPU is it using over a few minutes?
    also, if there a canned report I can run which shows how much CPU the agent is using over time.
    Thanks in advance
    AAnotherUser__
    AAnotherUser__

    There are many scripts and monitoring workflows in general that run in the Exchange management pack. CPU may spike periodically while scripts are executing. However, this may be a SyncTime issue in the Exchange pack - since there are many scripts in the
    pack, it would be recommended to cascade script runtime by using SyncTime configuration. I haven't taken a look at this pack in some time, so cannot comment on whether this practice was used. In general, a typical SCOM agent should not use more than 1-5% CPU
    time, sustained. But, again, for heavily scripted packs like the Exchange pack, you will likely see CPU spikes regularly.

  • Which color profile should I use?

    I'm getting into doing some freelance graphic design, and I've been playing around with my awesome new C2D Macbook Pro. I am wondering, which color profile should I use? It's set on Color LCD, but I'm wondering about Adobe RGB or Apple RGB would those be better?
    Thanks!

    I personally am a fan of the sRGB on the Mac. I think the blue comes out very nice when comparing it to the others.

  • Which exchange profile to use

    Hi experts,
    I have two exchange profiles. One on the XI server and one on the SLD. Do I need to maintain both or just one?
    Thanks!

    Hi Schotanus,
    Your Xi Server profile will work on SLD too.
    you dont have to put both.

  • Cannot activate ABAP mappings even after changing exchange profile

    Hi,
    I have completed all the steps to be able to use XSLT (ABAP) mappings (In exchange profile changed parameter com.sap.aii.repository.mapping.additionaltypes = R3_ABAP|Abap-class;R3_XSLT|XSL (ABAP Engine)
    I still, however, only have 3 option in the mapping program dropdown (Message Mapping, Java and XSL) and not XSL (ABAP) as I beleive I should. Is there another step I am forgetting to get this working? I have developed an ABAP XSL in the ABAP stack but am unable to use it due to this issue.

    Hello
    Try restarting the java engine. This may be necessary for the new parameter setting to take effect.

  • XI 3.0 System Copy - Exchange Profile incorrect

    Good day,
    I have copied an XI 3.0 according to the system copy guides.
    I had the source system "live" as well as the "target" during post processing. During this time, I had the hostname of target populating my source SLD Exchange Profile.
    As I cannot find anything documented, can anyone advise what the process should be do achieve a system copy.
    Must the source be unavailable(down altogether) when doing the copy and post processing?
    Any input from anyone who has been through this process will be geatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Derek

    Hi,
    I am facing the same problem, please help me.
    We are using XI 3.0 on Windows and MSSQL platform, i have made system copy sucessfully from production system with process of DB restore for ABAP and Java Import, the new server is up and running both abap and java.
    Problem : In the newserver when i execute the tcode sxmb_ifr it takes me to production server url and not the new server hostname url.
    when i tried the http://newserver hostname.com:50000 it works fine. but from this url except home page every other link like exchaneprofile, SLD,IR and ID links still points to the production server host name.
    Please look at the following post installation activities i have performed till now in new serverand please guide where else i have to change the host name in the new server.
    Note: i did not cange the logical system assignment in scc4, beacuse i was not sure about the other problems we may face after directly assigning new logical system to the productive client in new server.
    1. Run installation check: Administration u2192 System administration u2192 Administration u2192
    Installation Check (transaction SM28).
    2. Configure the Workbench Organizer (SE06) with the option Database Copy. This
    releases all transport, repair, and customizing requests that have not been released in
    the source system.
    3. Configure STMS
    4. In transaction RZ70, change the value for the host and the gateway service in the group box
    Transport Information
    5. Change the pipeline to the Integration Server by running transaction SXMB_ADM -> Configuration -> Integration Engine Configuration
    6. Open Visual Administrator -> Change the new host name in the following
    services -> Jcorfcprovider all the services
    services -> SLD Suppiler
    7. Host name Change in SLDAPICUST
    Note: In the SAP system copy guide it says me to chane few parameters in exchange profile but when i go through the url http://newserver hostname.com:50000/exchangeProfile it takes me to production server, is there any option to change the exchange profile parameters ?
    Please help me.
    Thanks

  • Alternatives to using Zenworks for Roaming Profiles

    Novell support tells me I should be using a dedicated Server for Zenworks
    This would be a real over kill!
    So, are there any alternatives to using Zenworks for Roaming profiles?
    Googeling I see SAMBA can support Roaming Profiles
    Samba is installed & I created Samba users via SBE Admin but when I select

    Is Novell Samba differently?
    Is it possible setup Roaming Profiles with Novell Samba?

    I'm gonna attempt this with a couple of scripts - (one added to login script
    & the other at shutdown)
    to copy Desktop & Favorites - already told users they will be shot if the
    they put files in my docs!

  • Is B/E ECC SoS in Local SRM PO in Classic Scenario Possible ( SRM7.0) ?

    Hi Experts,
    We are configuring SRM7.0 with ECC6 ( Ehp4) having Classic Scenario .
    Our Ultimate Aim is  - To maintain SoS in ONE system only (i.e. ECC) & use the same SoS in both ECC & SRM system, for all documents ( ECC PR, ECC PO, RM S/C, Local SRM POu2026etc )
    In Classic Scenario, B/E ECC SoS ( Supplier Contract & Pur. Info Record) are proposing in S/C ( Indirect Mat.) , but these B/E SoS NOT proposing while creating u201CLocal SRM POu201D which is by default  Ext. Classic.
    We  are exploring new CCTR functionality  ....but seems complicated and requiered PI...
    1.By doing any enhancement , can we pull B/E ECC Contract and Pur. Info Record as a SoS while creating u201CLocal SRM POu201D  ?, If it is possible , then we are ready to do any enhnacement and I'll be most happy
    2. Which BADi is used while creating Local SRM PO ?
    Can anyone suggest/confirm please.
    Thanks
    NAP

    Hello,
    In classic scenario, only backend contracts can be used as SOS.
    In extended classic, local contracts can be adopted as SOS.
    If you are using classic scenario, you should distribute local contracts to ECC. Then, while creating a shopping cart in classic scenario, ECC contracts (which have been distributed) will be considered as SOS.

  • PI 7.1 Exchange profile parameter:

    Hi
    I got a chance to have a look at PI 7.1. While going through the Exchange Profile parameters, I found a new addition to the existing parameter list. Its called internal. I could not find any information about it.
    help.sap documenation also does not make a mention of this parameter
    I want to know why this parameter is required. Please help.
    Best regards,
    Hari

    Hi,
    I am not sure but most of the Exchange profile parameter are to be for SAP Intyernal use only that should not be altered while custom Installations.
    May be that kind of paramteres have sagreegated under Internal category to restrict the changes for it.

  • No Connection to IB -- R3 Exchange profile  - pls clarify the following ?

    Hi  friends ,
                        My scenario is Proxy to file .
             While i am executing SPROXY tcode from R3Dev Syetsm . It is   showing as <b>No Connection to Integration Builder</b>
    https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700001697502004E.PDF
    No connection to Integration Builder
        While i was follwing this thread they mentined as
    u have to check whether ur r/3 system's(WAS 620 or above)
    excahnge profile has entries for integration builder.
    pls check the Example configuration for accessing
    interfaces in the Integration Repository (exchange profile):
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/14/555f3c482a7331e10000000a114084/content.htm
    If the Parameters are not there u need to add in the respective section's as provided in the link.
    exchange profile URL is
    <b>
    http://r3servername:5<instance>00/exchangeProfile</b>
    Sudhir
    P.S:- don't check XI's exchange profile as it will anyways be there.
    Basically to fetch the details of interfaces into SPROXY..connection to XI is required from the R/3's exchange profile
    My question is
    1. We are having WebAS 7.0 . XI7.0 SP10 . R3 system is  ECC6.0
                 <b> a. we have ONLY ABAP Instance no java instance running in this . So, how can we access the exchange profile for R3system ?</b>
    Regards.,
    V.Rangarajan

    Hi Ranga,
    ECC will use exchange profile in XI, so you don't need additonal java instance for ECC, so when you call the SPROXY, actually it call to XI.
    Please make sure the connection from ECC to XI its work.
    and your ECC can ping to the XI computer (using domain name)
    This solve my problem.

    Just check whether u carried out all post installation steps carefully as listed in the installation and in the configuration guide? Try accessing the java stack directly, using the browser, you will be able to check the accessibility of the server. Go through the following blogs which discuss this issue:-

  • Call a external vendor catalog - OCI In ECC using web dynpro

    Hello Everyone,
    We have a requirement to call a OCI External Catalog in ME51n Transaction in ECC, that is working fine.
    Now we need to create a Web dynpro ABAP Application which performs the Task of ME51n Transaction along with OCI Integration.
    So far i have create a small Web dynpro ABAP application to check does OCI Catalog can be integrated in ECC using web dynpro ABAP.
    My Screen Consit of a single Button UI, on click of the button i am calling the External Catalog, from the catalog i select all the materials and click on submit finally we need to bring all the selected materials to get displayed ina table.
    Half of the Development is done i.e i am able to call the catalog but not able to receive the selected materials.
    following are the details-
    1. I check in SRM first how the Ctalogs are been called, i found 2 Services responsible for the same in SICF transaction -
    Inbound HLDR and Outbound HLDR which uses handler class as SAPSRM_CL_CH_WD_INBOUND_HDLR and SAPSRM_CL_CH_WD_OUTBOUND_HDL, so i copied the same classes into ECC and created the same SICF Service.
    Contn. in next post

    2.In my Web Dynpro ABAP application i have a Inbound plug in my window in the  handler method of the inbound plug i fill a table lt_parameters of  TYPE tihttpnvp, it has 2 columns name and value
    In this table i fill following entries-
    Name-CATALOG_URL
    Value-https://XXXXXXXX.com/invoke/BVProcess.SAPOCI/processCatalogRequest
    Name-USERNAME
    Value-XXXXXXXX
    Name-PASSWORD
    Value-XXXXXXXX
    NAME  = 'HOOK_URL'.
    VALUE = 'http:/XXXXX.hostederp.local:8000/sap/ZOTC_CAT/Zinbound_hdlr'."?TARGET_URL= {Appdress of the WDA Apllication}
    NAME  = 'OCI_VERSION'.
    VALUE = '4.0'.
    NAME  = 'OPI_VERSION'.
    VALUE = '1.0'.
    NAME  = 'returntarget'.
    VALUE = _top
    also in this inbound plug handler method i fill a lv_url variable of type string with-
    lv_url = 'http://XXXXXX.hostederp.local:8000/sap/ZOTC_CAT/Zoutbound_hdlr?sap-client=100&sap-language=E'.
    3. finally from the handler method of the inbound plug i call a Suspend plug p[assing the above two variables i.e
    lt_parameters and  lv_url.
    wd_this->fire_zw_suspend_plg( url =    lv_url   i_parameter_tab = lt_parameters ).
    4. Using above i cam able to call the catalog and select the materials.
    5. Now if i Finally clcik on submit on the catalog it should return the materials to the WDA Application.
    For WDA Application to accept the Materials i have created a resume plug in which i am using -
    wdr_task=>server->request->get_form_fields( CHANGING fields = lt_fields ). to get all the selected materials into lt_fields.
    6. But unfortunately i am unable to receive the selected materials in lt_fields.
    I think i am missing something in Hook URL or some other parameter.
    Please help, ur comments and suggestions are welcome.
    Regards,
    Akash Rana
