Should "Find Tab by Keyword" become a feature? Have 370 tabs open in various groups.

For business reasons, I usually have to keep around 370 tabs open in my Firefox. I use the famous and very useful "TabGroups" plugin. That helps to sort all these open tabs in some ways.
But the real question is, if many people would like to have a feature that allows to find a tab by using a search keyword. It would help me a lot, since I am one of these users that have to keep so many tabs open. What do you think about such a feature?

I would like to open links in a new window but cannot find where to put the setting. Have unchecked the "Open new windows in new tab instead" box in the Options dialog box.

When I click a link on a webpage or other software, I would like for it to open in a completely new window.

You can hold the Shift key and click the left mouse button a link to open that link in a new window.
The setting in Tools > Options > Tabs is only for links that specify a target window and you can divert such a link to a new tab instead.

How do I stop Finder-Tabs from closing after ShutDown / Restart???

After opening several Tabs in Finder, I find they have closed after I´ve shut down & then (Later), restart my Mac Mini.
The Safari tabs stay open.

And also copied & pasted to Terminal:

These two actions worked for two Shut Downs / Restarts.
But I have just started up my Mac Mini after turning it off last night, and ALL the Finder-Tabs I left open are gone again!!!
(Just the main Finder window is open!).
Of course, I have "Reopen all windows after Shut Down / Restart" checked.
(The Safari Tabs stay open!).
Anyone know how to get round this, and how to keep the Finder-Tabs open after Shut Down / Restart???

Finder Tabs, full screen: tabs close on shutdown

Hello,
I always have several Finder tabs open. Recently I decided to go full screen on Finder in order to have a nice large overview of all my Finder tabs.
I found the following issue that is driving me nuts:
With Finder NOT on full screen, all my tabs will be there every time I turn on my computer.
However, if Finder IS on full screen at the moment of shutting down, I will have only one tab open the next time I turn on my computer
Anyone wih the same problem?

Might be Finder preferences are corrupted ...
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist
Click Go then move the com.apple.finder.plist file to the Trash.
Restart your Mac then try the Finder.

Does it help if you disable all plugins and hardware acceleration in Firefox?
Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. 
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Usually my tabs reopen when I restart, but every once in a while if I have other windows (not tabs) open, and I forget to close them all first, before I close my main window, then when I reopen, my tabs are gone. Try using the Firefox button > Exit when you go to close Firefox, that should save all your open windows / tabs.

First, select sender(s) as VIPs. Then the VIP category will appear.
To select a sender as a VIP, open an email from that sender, then hover over their name and a star icon will appear to the left. Click the star, and that sender will be set as a VIP (and the category will appear in the pane on the left).

I have an external hard drive attached to my Airport Extreme and I can access it just fine through Finder. I would like to be able to keyboard navigate to it in an efficient manner. I tried to use the "Go to the folder" feature but was unable to.
I had tried dragging the drive to the Network folder but the shortcut it created does not lead to the drive's contents...it seems to lead right back to the parent directory:

Cant you set up "back to my mac" then go to finder preferences and put a check mark under everything under the shared location. Also set up back to my mac on your airport extreme.

Empty the Safari cache more often.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now click Develop from the menu bar. From the drop down menu click Empty Caches.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If the icon is hidden behind another, or if it's available inside the Customize mini window, you can place it back. When I open firefox, tabs open that describe new firefox features

Today, when I opened firefox for the first time and every time since then, I have clicked on the firefox icon and several different tabs open. Each one includes information about different things that are "new" to firefox such as WOT, google chrome, etc. I have closed each one, I have closed all at once, I have tried disabling them. Nothing has worked, every time I open firefox again, those 5 or 6 tabs open again.

You can check if you have an user.js file in the Firefox profile folder that sets the browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once pref to true.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost and you will have to recreate them (make a note or bookmark them if possible).

'Film Rolls' View loses sort order when finding photos via Keywords or text

I have my iPhoto Library sorted by Film Roll so when I select 'Library' in the source list I see my rolls listed in date order in the viewing area.
If I try and find photos using the keywords pane or the search field the rolls which match are displayed in the viewing area but the order they are listed is no longer according to their date but some (seemingly) random order.
Does anyone else have this problem?

I find that if I have my rolls sorted by Film roll and Ascending (by roll date) the keyword search results will have the rolls in the correct chronological order.
However if I change the sort order to Descending , the search order remains as Ascending by roll date.
If you create a Smart album for a keyword search then you can sort the photos by any criteria you'd like: Date, Keyword (redundant), Rating or Title and Ascending or Descending.

Finder tabs get stuck on desktop when dragging out

Hello everyone
After the Mavericks update I had some trouble with the new Finder tabs feautures. Whenever I drag a Finder tab and release it on the desktop it seems like it is going to dissapear but during the animation out it freezes. I have attached two screenshots of my desktop where you clearly can see the problem. Does anyone have an idéa how to fix this?

MBPro Retina, me too as well… … (and this is not the only one problem I have with the Mavericks Finder).
I fear that this is due to some "extra" application or prefs … but I have not idea which one.
I suspect this because me too, logging with another "clean" user account I have not this problem.
But neither quitting all extra applications or booting in Safe boot does not solve anything.
Annoying.
