Should HBO and Showtime be included with Extreme TV package

Now I just discovered recently that few people are saying that they have the Extreme TV package for Verizon and part of that package includes HBO, Showtime, and other channels. Now I have been speaking with live chat a bunch of times already and they keep saying things that HBO, Showtime are only free for 3 months for new customers while existing customers have to pay. Now all I'm getting is that they're offering me 50% off the subscription. So I would like to no if HBO, Showtime, etc are provided free of charge with those who have the Extreme package in the NYC area because I am getting a "included in TV bundle" when I checked the channel lineup for those channels.

friends of mine are still in this situation, after months of back and forth. I do not think that FiOS will help at all. The online package guide says hw getrsthis included, but he can;t get it. Its Donkey Doo ( to put it nicely )

Paging and Notification Features included with CUCM 9.1!

At last we have paging functionality using our own IP Phones on our UC systems. Starting with CUCM 9.1, Cisco has entered into an OEM agreement with longime developer partner Singlewire to include their well known InformaCast product with every CUCM install. All orders of CUCM will come with the Cisco Paging Server software DVD which has the InformaCast product and documentation on it. The DVD has an ISO file with OVA for installing in a virtual environment plus all documentation. You can quickly see how when running UC on UCS or a Business Edition 6000, you can create bundled packages of specific UC apps (1 VM per app) on a single server that is a perfect fit for specific verticals. This is going to be extremely helpful when targetting K-12 applications as well as hospitality, manufacturing, transportation and higher ed opportunities.
The way it works is that basic paging features are now free with every CUCM product. Basic paging consists of the ability to send point-to-point or group live audio pages to/from Cisco IP Phones. There are an unlimited number of groups/zones to be configured and a maximum of 50 users per paging group. So all users of a system can participate in a variety of paging groups but without upgrading to advanced, 50 users at a time is available. Paging across sites is also supported with a properly configured multicast WAN network.
But we aren't just providing the basic functionality with UCM, all advanced features from InformaCast will also be delivered and optional. Since these features are new to many customers, there is a 60 day trial of the advanced features to show customers what they have available to them and to determine if it is a good fit in their environment. Many applications require the high level functionality like that listed below, and the ability to claim these as being available with every UCM order as a single vendor solution is extremely powerful. No other competitor will have a UC product shipping with all of the advanced emergency notification and security awareness features like Cisco UC now has.

Unlimited apps are included. The number of folios doesn't matter. The number of downloads included will vary based on your discussions the sales team.

Should an Apple Remote be Included with a Refurb MacBook?

Last week, I purchased a refurb MacBook (FB061LL/B) for my mother-in-law from the Apple Store. The online description of the product and the manual both stated that the Apple Remote was included in the box. However, she couldn't find it despite a careful search. I called Apple Support and they told me that the Apple Remote is an accessory that is ordered separately and that we didn't specifically order it. From what I can tell, the Apple Remote used to be included in the box for the 2007 models like this one, but it is not included anymore. Is it unrealistic of me to expect that the remote should have been included in our order? I have to call Customer Care back on Monday.

Thanks for the reply. The online description for this refurb did mention the remote. I can't post a link to the description because this item isn't listed at the Apple Store anymore. Nevertheless, the specs listed for this model (MB061LL/B) on the Apple support site includes the remote:

Since you received the remotes with your refurb purchases, there must not be a specific policy to exclude the remote.

I am also having the same issue. On my bill it is showing 21.95 for showtime, even though its supposed to be free and only a discount of 16.95. Seems kind of pricey for something that was offered "free".

How to configure Airport Express N router and Netgear G router with Extreme

I have a primary Netgear G router (WRT54G) connected to my cable modem box. I have an Airport Express N router streaming music in another room and also extending the wireless network.
I am planning to demote the Netgear router as a switch + wireless network extender connected to my home theater setup (dish+apple tv+ps3) and purchase a new dual band Airport Extreme connected to the cable box and acting as the main router.
My question is if its possible for the N devices to still use N network while the G devices not demoting the whole wireless network to G? That's the reason why I want the Extreme. If yes, how to go about doing it? If not, I will just buy a cheap switch and use that for the Home theater and leave the current setup alone. Anyone who has a similar network, please advice. Thanks!

Yes. To do so, you would need to connect the Netgear to the new 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn) by Ethernet, and then, reconfigure it as a bridge (disable both its NAT & DHCP functions).
In this configuration, the AEBSn & AXn can provide the 802.11n network and the Netgear can provide the 802.11g network.

Publishing MA to ERP: What validations are included with Use ERP Validation

If I select the "Use ERP Validation" checkbox in my integrated document type for Master Agreements, what is the list of validations that will be enforced? I would like to know this so that I know what additional custom validations I should add that are not included with the standard selected. Here are some hints:

Some of the validations done here are related to filelds in the integration tab like transaction type, purchasing org, purchasing group, . The fields mandatory check & replicated flag check on this objects are checked..
in addition at the Contract document level other integrated objects like vendor, payment terms are also checked for replication flags.. The purchase org selected in integration tab should match one of vendor's purchase org.

There is an array of validations again.. here the focus is the master data used in line items are checked for consistency:
1. If Plant is replicated, check that it is assigned to a company code. 2. All item plants must belong to the same Company Code and this must match the Company Code on the header. If Plant is not set, it is treated as valid. 3. If both Plant and P-org are ECC replicated, check that there exists a relationship.
Guess best way to go forward is to do some tests for your particular scenario and see if it is covered in standard. if not you can implement a custom validation in the prepublish script

Problem with the Extreme HD package

I live in central NJ and I have the Fios Extreme HD package at my house. But I have not been able to watch the sports package channels like the Golf channel, which should be included in the Extreme HD package. Does anyone else have a similar problem? Thanks.

Northern NJ & NYC area do not get the sports stations as part of the Extreme pacakge, they are separate at $7.99 month.

A Time Capsule is an AirPort Extreme with a built in hard drive to allow your Mac(s) to back up automatically, so it's a logical choice if you need a wireless router and back up capabilities for your Macs
The AIrPort Extreme has a bit better antenna arrangement than an AirPort Express, so it would be a good choice for a two level house.
Depending on the location of the "main" wireless router, you may find that you still need to add an extender or two in other parts of the house for full, fast wireless coverage. The AirPort Express is a good choice for this duty.

1. It is never a good idea to include personal info like your email address or Apple ID in a post on an open forum.
2. The email you received DOES NOT say your Apple ID cannot be used to unlock this iPad. The email informs you that your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad. Fortunately the iPad is yours. The message confirms that. If your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad that was not yours your would then know to change your password. Since the iPad is yours you do not need to change your password.

I've been working on a project where I'm converting makefiles that were originally developed for GNU make to utilize dmake.
The one issue I've been having is that one dynamic macro "$<" (insert dependency) doesn't seem to work as documented in the make man page either with dmake and make (in /usr/ccs/bin, or /usr/xpg4/bin). Here's a small snippet of what I'm trying to figure out:

Unfortunately with Solaris make, the macro is simply replaced with nothing.
Am I being a blockhead, or is there more too this that someone here might know about?

First of all, this is a well known problem. It is not a bug, but a
difference in behavior between Sun "make" and GNU "make".
The behavior of Sun "make" is documented in man page,
and we cannot change the default behavior because this will
break the existing builds.
Here is how it is documented in make.1 man page:
$< The name of a dependency file, derived as if
selected for use with an implicit rule.
Second, this problem has been reported several times (see CR
6593262 for example) , and we addressed it - we provided
environment variable to specify the compatibility mode.
SUN_MAKE_COMPAT_MODE=GNU
- compatibility with GNU "make"
Compatibility with GNU "make" is partially implemented, and
will be improved in next releases.
Here is an example how to set SUN_MAKE_COMPAT_MODE
to avoid the problem, mentioned in CR 6593262:

Your iBookG4 is still a pretty awesome Mac. Like already said, it has the power to run Leopard, but it depends if you have an internal DVD drive.
Then I suppose you have to add up the cost of the OS, perhaps another 512MB RAM, iLife 08 and replacements for any favourite apps that you currently use (Leopard breaks a lot of stuff, but Intel breaks even more). Compare it to the cost of a new MacBook, which wil have all of that included and be 3-4x faster too.
It also depends on what you want to achieve with your iBook. My PMG4 still cuts it today, I still use it in preference to my new Mac Pro, It's about the same age as your iBook, and I'll only stop using it when it becomes "painfully" slow. My 1 year old son currently uses the Mac Pro (parts for a Mac Pro are easier to replace than those for a PMG4).
I think your choice is simple, if you can a cheap copy of Tiger, use that, it'll get your iPod Touch up and running. It came in DVD and 4 CD version (by request).
Leopard will work for you too but a lot of the best eye-candy requires quite a meaty graphics card and you may need a RAM upgrade and replacement software - OS9 Classic is not supported in Leopard.
