Hy guys
I always didnt like apple (i like't galaxy's etc more)
But i really wanna heve an ipod now since i ♥ apple products now
But the thing is i dont wanna waste a lot of money
Thats why i wanna buy an ipod 3generation.
But i heard u cant download apps on it
and i dont get the ioshd if i'm gonna buy it i wanna keep it atleast 2 years good(still downlaoding apps etc)
so should i buy it?

A real 3G iPod can only go to iOS 5.1.1. That currently works for most apps but some require iOS 6
Many time one thinks then have a 3G iPod when they really have a 2G iPod. A 2G can only go to 4.1.2. Many app now require 4.3 or greater.

IMO, I would skip the iPod and upgrade your iPhone 4 to an iPhone 5s. With carrier subsidized pricing, it is the same price as an iPod Touch 5g.

Sorry Liam - yes, universal dock is fine, as you get the converter insert with the ipod.
Interestingly, the guy in the shop I went to first (and various people at the mac expo I just went to) said that the 5g dock wasn't available yet. This, naturally, is rubbish - the universal dock fits it just fine.

Well it is up to you. But there is some changes between the ipod 4 and ipod 5. I own both ipods and I would recommend getting the ipod5. These are some of the differences.
The ipod 5 has flash. It is very helpful especially if you like taking pictures at night.
The ipod 5 has siri. I personally like Siri, but if you don't you could always go to Siri settings and turn it off. Siri can be convinient in some cases. If you want to know the time in China or if you want to know the temperature in Hawaii.
Also it works much faster!

It depends on what you want to use the ipod for. I bought a touch to help me manage lists of things to do, my calendar when I am away from my desk and my mobile me account where I use the public folder. I've found the ipod to be very useful for all of these things . . . making my job easier. I've shopped the applications store and found inexpensive applications that I use everyday -- Todo being my favorite find.
I can't seem to figure out the problem with sending / receiving emails. But, overall I am pleased with my purchase.

I have a iPod touch 4th gen and a 5th gen:
If you use your ipod alot or you play lots of games on it i would recommend paying the extra money for the 5th generation BECAUSE:
• the screen is SUPERB! (The same used on the iphone 5)
• the camera is WAY better,also has a led flash which is really bright,(you can use it as a torch as well)
• its a lot faster loading and playing games.
If you only use your ipod for music and social networking dont bother,because you really wont notice the difference.

Sorry, I didn't notice that the 16GB low-cost version of the iPod touch is actually quite different from the others.
For the regular iPod touch, there are a 32GB and a 64GB option, respectively at €319 and €419 if you buy it from the Apple site.
There is a 16GB version as well, but this one is quite different. As you mentioned, this one does not have the camera with flash on the back. It does have the 720p front-facing camera. It looks similar to the 32 and 64-GB versions, but has some little differences in the design, like black buttons instead of polished aluminium.
It really depends on your opinion, if you want a larger screen (better if you watch many films and videos) and the faster A5-chip (for graphic intensive games) and the iOS 7 update that come with the 5th generation iPods, or if you want a camera on the back and an option for 8GB of storage (and a mirror on the back).
I personally think you'd be better off if you buy a 4th generation iPod, because you get a camera (not very high quality but it's fun to take pictures when you have it with you. The video quality on it is quite good) and because other than the storage there is no difference between 64GB models and 8GB models, so you won't have a cheaper, lower quality product.
I myself have an iPod touch 4g 8GB and I'm very satisfied with it. I won't upgrade to another until this one breaks.

I was thinking about whether I should buy an iPhone3G or an iPod Touch v2, but I couldn't come up with a decision. Here are my arguments:
For iPod
1. I can buy one now. Since I live in Canada, iPhone3G will arrive on July 11. However, so many people will want it that I most likely will not get one until a few months. Since my parents only let me go to electronic stores by myself over holidays, I will have to wait until Christmas before I can buy one.
2. I use my phone about 10min a week. I don't text message either. (Most likely won't get a plan for iPhone until necessary or when the price drops)
3. It can be argued that I will use my phone more in 2 years when I'm off to university, but by then the iPhone will be old.
4. People say iPod Touch video graphics aren't that good, but watching videos on small screens tire out my eyes no matter how good the quality is.
For iPhone
1. More functions, such as GPS, phone when necessary, speaker, camera, etc
2. If I wait, the iPhone will be the same price as the iPod Touch as of right now.
3. I have a sim card phone and if Apple decides to go open network then I can replace my phone with this iPhone.
Please help me make a suggestion,

If you get an iPhone, you WILL get a plan as it is required at time of purchase.
Minimum 2 year, $40 voice plan required. A data plan will cost an additional $30.
2. If I wait, the iPhone will be the same price as the iPod Touch as of right now.
As of the 3G iPhone, the actual price of the phone is less than a touch (but requires a 2 year plan).
3. I have a sim card phone and if Apple decides to go open network then I can replace my phone with this iPhone.
If they do offer the phone without a plan, it will undoubtedly cost $100-$200 more since ATT is subsidizing the price.

I am sorry to hear that your experience has been so bad with your iPod. As I said, there are some annoyances - some people may be more bothered by them than others. And of course, losing ones music (more than once) is a major deal.
One note concerning one of your complaints - the low volume. Since you mentioned you paid Euros, I would have to guess that it was purchased in the EU. Apple was sued over the maximum volume several years ago by the French government which ultimately resulted in the EU regulating maximum volume in all MP3 players. Units purchased in the US do not suffer from this issue (as my ringing ears can attest to on more than one occasion). And I actually reduce the gain on all of my albums to reduce the distortion that current record producers introduce into the music with over-compression.
The one issue I wholeheartedly agree with you on is the pausing. Though to me it is nothing more than an annoyance (and it happens only rarely), I can see how it would REALLY bother someone. As far as other players are concerned, I've had issues with those as well - a SanDisk device that suddenly decided to show duplicates of all of my songs. Of course, the SanDisk did not cost nearly as much as my iPod.
Are iPods either the best or the worst of the MP3 players on the market. I can't say as I have not done the research. I agree though, that there is plenty of room for improvement.

Hey HaithamElloumi, If your sitting on the fence, why not wait till this fall-- All other iPods where released in the fall of 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2012. Will Apple continue this trend and release an iPod 6, this fall? I don't know. You'll have to hurry up and wait with the rest of us! Zen 20GB and why you should just buy an ipod inste

I bought 2 creative zen 20gb players in Singapore about 2 years ago. Now this device is no longer supported by creative and they do not provide links to drivers etc. How hard is it to provide a link to old drivers
Don't get me started on the s**t software that Creative provided with it in the first place. I had to buy a third party application called Notmad explorer because the creative provided software was useless and basically incapable of uploading files to the device.
How about a docking station for your creative MP3 player Forget about it, Creative only provides those for Apple products and not for it's own Creative Zen 20gb.
I will no longer buy creative products or recommend them to anyone.

I'm glad you are happy with you creative gear albinoni. If you bothered to read my post you will notice I didn't compare Creative Mp3 to iPods. I merely pointed out that Creative provides more accessories for iPod's than it does for the Creative product I bought.

Should I Buy an IPOD

So I have heard such mixed reviews. my friends who have their ipods LOVE them and then there are the ones who regret the day they got theirs. It has given them nothing but problems and apple has a horrible and expensive replacement and fixing cost when it comes to the IPOD itself. I know some people who have gone through 4 ipod's in one year. These are not heavy handed people. Just from general use they have experienced fatal problems and lost all their music at the most inconvenient times. I would really like to get an IPOD Vid so I can watch some of my favorite shows I have bought off I Tunes. Please let me know if all this possible hassle is worth and if you have had any bad or good experiences in replacing your ipod.

I put it off for a long time, but not that I have an 30 Gig, 5th Gen. I find that I listen to much more of my music than ever before. Simply put, I have 1500 of my favorite songs any symphonic concertos at my fingertips. No keeping up with CD's. Simply put on the head-phones and listen.
iPod is much more simple, easy, and compact than working with CD's.
Frankly, I'm surprised how much I enjoy it, and I'm very glad I moved to the iPod format. Now all my CD are stored away for when I want to play them on my home unit; however, I usually prefer to play my iPod thru the Aux. input of the Bose unit instead of hunting up the CD.
Hope that gives you a little insight into what an iPod can do for you.

a very cracked ipod... i saw the new one and its boss. Its battery is in bad shape and loses charge quickly. I cant see the time on ethe top becasue of the crack. a lot of the inside parts are showing. It lags on games like blood and glory and subway surfers. Im wondering if a 5g is worth 300$ which is most of my money... Im only like 13 soooo...
