Should I have an installer for CS4? Getting a little upset.
I've been on the phone waiting for customer service for well over 30 minutes, I've been trying to install CS4 on my macbook (2.16 2 g ram) and it's giving me more problems than I ever could have imagined. I'm more or less just supremely irritated now.
When I instert my disk to install nothing happens, I click on the icon for adobe and it gives me all the options to mount the disk images for any of these but an installer is nowhere to be found. I've done the CS3 and CS4 wipe to be sure and I still am having no luck. Any thoughts.
yeah I'm in thet one and have 2 choices, payloads and extensions.

I checked the earlier log file. It seemed recorded with error and fatal, when I first experienced with the message titled. Please see the messages below.
Moreover, after running a cleaner program, there was no error and fatal message in a log file.

Hi - I recently purchased a new iMac. I have a registered cs5 design premium package which is an upgrade - I have no disc for cs4 but have the qualifying serial number for it. I have installed cs5 via download onto my iMac but it is not accepting the serial number. Can anybody help. Does anybody else think that Adobe will loose a lot of customers by not providing any chat or call support for cs5 users??

Entirely a personal decision (and I assume you mean a case). I know from my own history that I am tough on cellular phones - mostly scratches, but the occassional drop as well - since I tend to keep my phone in a jacket or pants pocket. So, I bought a case. I would prefer to use the iPhone without a case, but not willing to take the chance. You may be different.

I reinstalled my system software, and my Acrobat got corrupted in some way which will not let it communicate properly with Adobe. only solution. One of the other Acrobat customer service people had

using my copy of Acrobat 6.0.4 since I bought it directly from Adobe in
2004........I had something happen with my operating system, and now I need to
reinstall it, but Adobe erases the installers from people's systems after 3
years. It was the Adobe Customer Service Techie help line that suggested this
"solution". I have my own serial number etc.......it just won't connect
to Adobe without some teensy missing part of something from the installer
software. The only "standard" versions I see out there for sale, are for PC,
not Mac. If you know of something else, I'd be grateful for the info.

That's normal; you will not be asked for a serial number or other key at any point during the installation or setup. Apple doesn't include copy protection mechanisms in most of their consumer-level software the way Microsoft does.

If your files are managed by iPhoto or Aperture on a Mac, then yes it will. You need only compare the storage space allocated for your iPad photos against the storage space required for the original photos in the managing application. For example, I have 3 April Aperture albums currently installed on my iPad. On the iPad they require a bit more than 200 MBs of space. The original files that remain stored on my hard drive by Aperture take up 600 MBs of space. The amount of storage space saved will depend on the format and dimensions of the original files. I.e., the less compressed and larger the original file, the more space you will save during this automated optimization by iTunes as it syncs the content. Conversely, the smaller and more compressed the files you sync via iTunes, the less savings your will realize until you reach a point where no optimization takes place and the iPad file is the same as the original file. I don't think we can explain this in any simpler terms here.
As to the dpi vs. ppi (and/or lpi for that matter), I assume the poster was left-handedly attempting to point out that the terms have somewhat technical differences and should be applied more judiciously with respect to the medium or device to which you are making your reference. However, most of us did realize what you were trying/meant to say. -

How long should I have to wait before I get a spee...
I have had weeks of problems with slow broadband issues due to a line fault which only shows when it is wet.
They have appeared to fix the problem on Friday at long last as I did not lose my line when it rained today but my speed has remained between 0.00 and 0.13.
I have been told they have reset my profile which normally increases my speed in minutes but not this time.
I am told by one bt broadband support person I could have to wait 10 days, anothe person says 48 hours.
I cannot understand why the speed does not increase a bit, my normal speed is between 1.5 and 2mb
My latest figures from BT wholesale speed test is as follows:

Sppeds of just 0.13 is almost unsable, sometimes I cannot even get a page to display.you currently have a connection speed of 1.98mb but due yo previous problems your profile is at rock bottom of 0.14mb. this should normally fix itself automatically given a stable connection 24/7 for 3/5 days. can you post router stats to show if connection time 3+ days

Can anyone help me with this? I feel like Adobe has totally abandoned its old paying customers. Afterall, this is the ONLY WAY I can get info on the product. They've stopped even supporting direct customer service, leaving it up to "volunteer" customers to do it.

Just installed CS6, but still have some need for CS4
I just installed CS6. I have a plug in (Lucis filters that don't want to load into CS6, and may not be compatible), so I still want to use my CS4.
If I open images from Bridge CS4, how can I get them to open in Photoshop CS4 instead of CS6?If you want an ongoing choice (and you're using Windows) you could put shortcuts to each of the two versions of Photoshop.exe on your desktop and drag images to whichever one you want to use.
Keep in mind you can only have one of them running at a time. If Photoshop CS6 is already open and you drag a file to Photoshop CS4's shortcut, it will still open in Photoshop CS6.

3.0 should not have been recommended for original 3g iphone
This software is just too much for the original 3.0, it has slowed my iphone to an unacceptable pace. Can I revert back to the original software?

There are many people complaining about the problem, this is a fact.
Was the phone reset/restore part of the Apple 3.0 update procedure? I don't think so.
Did Apple acknowledge the problem and provide any workaround or fix? Nothing.
Should we endure the pain to reset and restore / reconfigure the iPhone while Apple did not have a word on this yet?

It got better - probably not as "fast" as with the previous firmware, but it is now "usable".
If it may help the developpers, here is the behavior I could observe:
from 3.0, switching keyboards (En/Jp) was much slower
writing (in En) was sometimes very slow (typing "Hello" would show H then after 3 seconds e, then after another 3" the l, then "lo" came faster.
Tapping the input areas would sometimes take ages to start
starting apps would take longer sometimes, much longer some other times
scrolling of lists (songs for instance) was less smoother
[Maps is sometimes wrong by a large margin while GPS (blue sky above) was used (was already the case with 2.1... just a reminder .
Note: no problem with the battery (seems better)

The "papers" that you mentioned are actually levels.
If you are a fresher, please go for the "Associate" level certification.
Similarly, depending on your experience, you can go for other levels directly.
Please note that you need not pass 3 "papers" or "levels" to be certified.
Every level in itself is a certification.
Request you to contact SAP India Office at the given numbers on above link. Or contact any Authorized Training Center in your city.
