Should I host my 15 videos on Amazon S3 or put them in my Ebook

I'm creating an ebook that I made in Apple Pages and then I convert it automatically to my new Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Mac Version by exporting in Apple Pages. I have two questions.
I'm making screen capture videos with iShowU HD from shiny white box, once video is made it converts to Quicktime .mov I believe.
1. doesn't the new acrobat pro 9 convert videos to flash automatically..? Therefore I shouldn't have to convert it to flash or should I ...?
Please help me out, when you go to upload a video it says this below: Just want to double check.
Your multimedia will be converted to Flash format to ensure consistent playback across multiple platforms using Adobe Reader 9 or later.
2. I'm creating 15 videos to put in my ebook pdf, all about 5 minutes or less. Is it insane to be putting this many videos in one pdf, should I just put my videos on my hosting..? If so how do you go about doing that or what are the best resources, websites and tools needed to do this...?

Uploading a video to Amazon Author Central?

I have a three-and-a-half minute video that I just uploaded to YouTube. It's about the content of a book I wrote and sell on Amazon. Amazon.com has a page called Amazon Author Central in which an author can upload a video. Here are the instructions:
We're unable to embed videos hosted on YouTube directly to Amazon.com Detail pages or Author Pages.
However, if you're the original source of uploading the video you can upload the video through your Author Central Account and it will appear on your Author Page, as long as the content stays within the Amazon.com Content Guidelines.
Adding Videos
You can add up to eight videos and choose the order in which they appear on the Amazon.com Author Page.
Select videos that meet the following guidelines:
In one of the following formats: avi, wmv, flv, mov, or mpg.
No more than 10 minutes in length.
Smaller than 500 MB.
On the Author Central Profile tab, click add video.
Click Browse and select your video.
Click the box to confirm that you own or have cleared all rights to the video you are adding, and then click Upload video.
I would like to add my video that is now on YouTube to my Author Central page. The instructions above do not give me enough information on how to this. Can anyone on the forum help me out.
One more thing - How do I know which format my video is in. I am using Adobe Premiere Elements 11 as the eding program. Should I include the URL of my video on YouTube?

If all you have is what is displayed at YouTube and it is video that you uploaded there, then you can get a copy of that to upload to Amazon at the Amazon web site.
Here is how I found this to work.
Go to YouTube and your ID at the top right of the page.
Click on the triangle to the right of the ID to get a list of choices. Select Video Manager.
In the page that opens, find your video that you uploaded. Note that there is "Edit" below the thumbnail for the video. And further note, that there is a triangle to the right of the word "Edit". Click on the triangle to get a list of choices.
Select the one for "Download MP4".
Depending on Amazon's video requirements, you should be able to upload the MP4 from your computer hard drive (where you just saved it) to Amazon.

Upgraded to Yosemite. Videos on Amazon Prime and Netflix crash frequently.

First time participant. Recently bought a Macbook Pro (early 2011) with an i5 processor. Laptop is in EXCELLENT condition. Upgraded memory from 4 gigs RAM to 8 gigs. The RAM is Mac certified, but not purchased from Apple. Running Yosemite 10.10.2. This laptop belonged to my son so I know the history of it. He had no problems watching videos when he was running previous OS X, up through Mavericks. It seems that once he upgraded to Yosemite, all **** has broken loose.
I am having a terrible trying to watch videos on Amazon Prime and Netflix. Sometimes it just locks up, and the rainbow wheel spins. Sometimes everything crashes and gives a kernel panic message. Other times it shuts the video down, and says that the plugin (Silverlight and Flash, both) have failed. The most worrisome is the kernel panic shutdown. I have tried everything, including:
Perused just about every discussion of same of similar problems on Google/Bing.
Re-setting the cable modem and wifi router.
Deleted Flash and Silverlight and reloaded fresh copies.
Adjusted settings in Netflix to the lowest quality and tried both Silverlight and Flash on Amazon Prime.
Tried three browsers, Safari, Chrome, and Firefox.
Adjusted the settings in all three browsers to try and optimize watching videos.
Started up in safe mode to see if the problems clear.
Pulled the RAM upgrades and put in the original 4 gig sticks.
Signed out from the owner account and signed in as Guest.
Called Apple customer care and spent over two hours on the phone, only for the supervisor - yup, supervisor! - to tell me he was stumped and would have to kick it up to the technical folks. Still haven't heard back from them.
After all these attempts to fix the problems, and then trying each "fix" individually, it is still virtually impossible to watch videos on Amazon Prime and Netflix without some type of crash part way through the video. None of these things happen on YouTube, by the way, or any other video sites I have tried. The only thing I haven't tried is starting all over again with a fresh install of Yosemite and all of its components. Really don't want to do that because I am afraid of losing the Microsoft Office 2010 Pro I have loaded. Paid a lot of money for a one-time use license.
Please, does anyone have a suggestion I haven't tried? I'm to the point of sacrificing chickens and invoking the spirit of Steven Jobs! Look forward to hearing some ideas.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Amazon Prime reply app does not allow video airplay - nor do several other content providers.

You could try out the bitrate calculator at http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flash/apps/flv_bitrate_calculator/ . It lets you try various encoding settings to see what fits best for the bandwidth available to you.

Streaming video from amazon prime?

Anything new on watching streaming video from amazon prime on ipad2? It seems I can't do it because of the flash. I am still on iOS 4, does this matter? thanks!

I just bought the Splashtop streamer app that allows you to stream flash video from Safari to your iPad. I'm streaming Amazon Prime video content to my iPad using this app. It's not perfect though. There is some loss of frame rate for some reason, although this may be due to the way my wireless network is set up. You install "server" software on your iMac or whatever and then it streams from there to the iPad.

Yes. There isn't one there because you haven't used any custom icons.
i know the stuff in the root is sytem settings but im never sure
where to look for stuff, there seems to be no pattern and some
things seem to be duplicated. cubase only used to look at plugins
ones in the root. why are plugins classed as system settings it
doesnt make sense? there wil only ever be one user of my
machine, me, it would be simpler for my tiny mind if everything
was in one place.
It's quite simple. If you want plugins to be available for all users, put them in the system location. if you want different sets of plugins for different users, then use the user locations.
If you are only the single user on your machine, then it doesn't really matter where there go. If you want to keep them tidy then move them into one or other loaction and always use that from now on.

Trouble streaming videos on Amazon

Why am I having so much trouble streaming instant videos on Amazon when I have the updated version of Adobe Flash Player as prompted by Amazon and my computer? It keeps starting and stopping and reloading and asking me to update my flash player.

Where should I be saving my video clips?

I have hundreds of video clips from my camcorder and iphone.
I've compiled a few of them into short videos in imovie of around 200MB and play them back via itunes on apple TV (and ideally would also like to play them via my ipod).
Where should I be storing the videos - presumably in imovie? I could also store them in iphoto (where they initially get downloaded to) or itunes.
When I convert them to itunes, am I saving two 200MB versions - one in imovie and one in itunes?

Yes. Store everything. Hard drives are at 10 cents a gigabyte or less.
You need an external drive that is formatted as Mac OS Extended (journaled). (also called HFS+ journaled). If your drive is a FAT32 drive, you can repartition/reformat using Disk Utility.
All moves should be made from within iMovie. If you do not, your projects will not work.
In iMovie, click VIEW/EVENTS BY DISK.
You should see your disk drive listed in the Event Library List and the Project Library List. You can Command-Drag the small icons for the Events onto the small icon for the drive, and this will move them. (If you do not hold dowm the command key while dragging, it will copy, not move).
You can do the same command-drag action in the Project Library List.
A slick way to have a complete copy on external disk is to first command-drag the Project to the external disk (as mentioned above. Then, with this Project selected in the Project Library List, click FILE/CONSOLIDATE MEDIA... This will move all Events that are used in the Project to the same external disk. It will also put a copy of any photos or music used on the external disk, so you can take the external disk and edit on another Mac if you need to.
