Should I purchase iPhone or Blackberry for this task?

I specifically want a phone to receive emails (maybe 4 per day) and access websites to enter data (say 4 times per day). I've been told that for those who want to do this regularly the iPhone freezes and is slower than the Blackberry. Almost all spoken to say that for emails, the Blackberry is superior. Any comments or suggestions please?

If you are talking about that low a number of emails the speed is not going to matter so the BB will not give you any added benefit. To be compared to the BB you need a push email account on the iPhone which you can get by signing on to MobileMe, use a yahoo push mail account (free) or an exchange account.
As far as data entry, I would go with the iPhone due to the larger screen than some BBs, touch screen, etc. Safari has been pretty stable for me and I have done some data entry with it.

  • How do I download an iTunes purchase when it says "All purchases have been downloaded for this Apple ID."

    I have a season pass, so I've already 'purchased' all episodes as they come out.
    I get an e-mail saying a new episode is available, I go to iTunes, then Store > Check for Available Downloads...
    After a few seconds, I get an error: "All purchases have been downloaded for this Apple ID."
    This happens to me frequently. Eventually (usually when the next episode comes out), it just works.
    It never allows me to start the download. Since the episode isn't recognized as being on my Apple ID to download in the first place, I obviously can't "re-download" it. Neither checking for downloads, nor redownloading will alow me to get the new episode.
    Since I only have one Apple ID, I'm obviously using the right one. I just logged out of my Apple ID and back in, nothing. I changed my password and updated my Apple ID details, logged in again, nothing. I don't have any special firewalls/scanners/security software, just Apple's built-in Mac OS firewall.
    This is iTunes 11.0.2 (the current version) on my MacBook Pro.
    So... how do I get the episode?

    I pressed my Apple support person to verify if this was a known issue, here is her response:
    This is Irish again from the iTunes Store Support.
    I have confirmed that this is a known issue. Please trust that Apple is currently working towards a resolution. I know that this has been said a lot, but I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you.
    As an alternative, we recommend our customers to try downloading the latest episodes through our iTunes in the Cloud feature.
    For those of you who do not know how to download the episode manually:
    1.     Go to iTunes and log in
    2.     Go to the iTunes store, home page
    3.     On the right, click on "Purchased"
    4.     At the top, choose "TV Shows"
    5.     On the right, choose the TV show you want to download (eg: Walking Dead)
    6.     Choose the Season (3 for Walking Dead)
    7.     A window of episodes will open, scroll down to episode 30 and you'll notice it says it's not downloaded yet. 8.     Click on the Cloud icon and start downloading.
    Not as easy as clicking once on "Check for available downloads!"

    I must be misunderstanding what this means. I assume that when I choose the menu item Check for available downloads... it will find things in the store that I have purchased, but not downloaded. For example I subscribe to Justified and Better Call Saul. I choose this menu item on the morning after these shows air, and I get the dialog box telling me 'All purchases have been downloaded for this Apple ID." I have find show in the store and then download them manually.

    Starting three days ago, my ITunes says "all purchases have been downloaded for this Apple ID" when there is content available for download.
    Apple responded to my first support request by making the episode available.  The next day, same issue!  I again wrote tech support, but no response.  Day three, same issue and I've written them again.
    When I go to purchases, the episode is there and says that it has not been downloaded.  But if I use "check for available downloads" it says they have all been downloaded.
    I've done all the obvious things, rebooted, made sure I had the latest copy of iTunes, cleared the iTunes cache, but those did not help.
    I have not made any changes to the computer or iTunes around the time this started happening.
    Anyone else experiencing this?  Any ideas for a solution?
    The convenience of automatic downloads has suddenly disappeared!

    the option to Repleace. If it is an asynchronopus work item and
    is still in your inbox and you try to reaplace then the message
    5W 141 is correct.

  • Error msg - not enough memory available for this task - chm file

    Hi All
    I am using RoboHelp for HTML 8.0 and creating chm file.  I am using context sensitive help and the F1 key functionality.  I have in the past created some map ID's with F1 and they have worked properly with our company software application.  Now, I have a different database with our company and a larger help file and it is not working.  I am told that the database should work.  I also have lots of memory.  I am working off of my hard drive which is where the .exe is for the company application and my chm file.  I can open my .chm file.  When I go into the application and press F1 where I created the map ID;s I get the message, not enough memory available for this task and also topic not available. Quit one or more programs to increase memory.
    I have lots of memory and my file is only 598kb.  I also only have RoboHelp and the application running.  When I did a search, I found an article for a fix from 2004 from Adobe - Rb_46124 - not sure if this is the fix but the steps dont match since it is old.
    Please help me.

    Actually, if you were to use FlashHelp output, you might find that the problems are compounded, as now you have the Flash Player and all its idiosyncrasies in the mix.

  • Releasing Mass Change Worklist-Error Message No Administrator for this task

    Using transaction AR01 we create a Worklist and assign it to the Substitution Rule.  When we use Transaction AR31 and try to Release the Worklist so that the actual Mass Change can take place, we get the following error message.  "No Administrator for this task".  We've tried a user id with SAPALL and still get this error message.
    Does anyone know what this means and how we can get around this message?

    We have this working in our Test system without having to set up any workflow tasks for Fixed Assets.  I'm wondering if this has to do with the Productive client settings.  We had to make some changes so that we could use transaction OA02 in a Productive client.
    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Keyboards get liquid on then and they are pretty much finished.
    Also dust is a big problem, there are vents in the back on each side near the black strip crack, somehow the dust collects on the inside grill, so somehow something has to wipe it a bit to force it the rest of the way out, perhaps a high vacuum or a short blast of air to disturb it a little or something.
    You can't open the machine under warranty/Applecare to clean them.
    The ports on the side can inhale water and dust too.
    The keyboard area is a intake, so the cover can't seal the keys.

  • When or should XML be used and why for this situation?

    I am developing a 3-tiered web application (database, server, browser) that will use JSP to display a form where the user will enter their name and address information, JDBC for the connection to a mySQL database.
    When the user enters their name and address information on the JSP displayed using the broswer, the data when submitted will be placed in the database.
    How could I use XML for this situation? Is it really needed at all since I know it can all be done using only JSP? I am just wondering how using XML could help?

    Hi,
    XML is really useful for representing data from different resources. E.g. it can take a database and represent it as an xml document or it could be an xml document hosted on an external server. By using XML in the jsps, the jsp is completed oblivious to where the xml data came from i.e. either a database or an xml doc. Using XML provides a level of abstraction so that the jsp only needs to know the methods to access/retrieve data not how to access the data i.e. it doesn't have to worry about how to connect to the database, and create sql statements.
    In the situation described if you can be sure that the information that the jsp retrieves will be only from a database then you do not need to use xml, otherwise by using xml you adhere to good-old object design principles.

    Depending upon what country that you are in (TV shows can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the shows from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
    If you aren't in a country where you can re-download TV shows or if they re-download in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account (Store > View My Apple ID on iTunes 11) and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find those shows and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).
    Some people have had a problem with the 'report a problem' link (it's been taking people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) - if it does that to you then try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

    My daughter recently had a virus on her Macbook pro, the symptoms were that she would frequently log out of her internet connection, she was guided by this support community to clean up her macbook, however, i'm a bit scared that the trojan virus she might have had, could be on my macbook also since we communicate frequently via email or skype.

    Anti-virus software has been an integral part of OS X for at least its last two releases. No other (third party i.e. non-Apple) AV products can be recommended. The best they have been able to do, including addressing the recent Flashback trojan, has been absolutely nothing. The worst examples are known to have resulted in data loss, random crashes, OS corruption and other headaches.
    The best anti-virus protection is between your ears. Far too few people use it.
    As far as "protection" is concerned I recommend using OpenDNS. This is not something you install on a computer; it is a setting in your router that will prevent the possibility of your Internet service provider's DNS from becoming hijacked or "poisoned". OpenDNS has many useful features, is totally transparent to your computers, works with all the devices on your home's network including Macs, PCs, iPhones, iPads etc, and is absolutely free.

  • What recourse do you have when a music purchase does not download to your authorized computers?  ("All purchases have been downloaded for this account.")  No they haven't!

    On May 5th I purchased a song on iTunes on my phone, which downloaded to my iPhone succesfully.  When checking the next day on all of my authorized computers, none of them woudl download a copy of it, with the message upon checking for available downloads being that all purchases had already been downloaded.  I have the receipt cited in the iTune store history pane, but no copy of this tune has ever been downloaded to any computer in my account.
    What can I do at this point to get a copy to download onto my computers?  Does it require that I purchase the tune twice?  (Can I even do so?)
