Should I select PI7.0 ?

I'd like to know the differences between "PI7.0" and "PI7.1".
I'm developing some functions in PI7.0 as a ESB,
but I'm wondering selecting "PI7.1".
Please let me know the differences and,
let me know your recommendations.

You can have radio buttons with any one field selected from a group .
ex:
selection-screen begin of block b2 with frame title text-042.

or

FREE check box in PO should be selected by default for specific material

Hi All,
We have a check box FREE in PO creation - ME21N in the item row which is selected when ever we want the vendor to supply those items as free.
- I have a list ot items which are supplied freely by the vendor which I have to mention in the PO. My requirment is when ever the specific material is in the PO the FREE check box should be selected by default. Is it possible?

Hi Vengal Rao,
I don't think there's such flag in the material master. As far as I know any material can be supplied either free or chargeable - the buyer has to choose the applicable option it in each specific PO.
If however in your business case certain materials shall always be supplied as free, then you can use the BAdI that I mentioned above to analyse which material is being procured and set the FREE flag in the PO accordingly.

In System Preferences:Displays you have an option to show
Displays Prefs in the title bar above the screen - where she can
iteratively adjust to her liking. Higher screen resolutions, ironically,
result in smaller characters so adjust to suit. Below, Displays is
4th from L.

Open xml file in excel - default should be selected

Hi All,
I have done an Application to Export the Table data to Excel . I have done it successfully.
But at the time of exporting the data to excel, it is prompting for the following options
How to Open Files in Excel
When you open an XML file in Excel, you are prompted to select one of the following methods to import the XML data:
                   As an XML list
                   As a read-only workbook
                   Use the XML Source task pane
I dont want to see these three options (by default First should be selected). How can i do this.

I am not sure how much this information helps to you. I am postiong this information to give you an idea.
If you are able to achive this please let me know.
As per my analysis it is not possible to hide these options.
Even if you crate one .xml file on your desktop and if you open with Microsoft Excel it will give these three options. You have to select one of the options.
I think WD Node data will be converted to xml and it will be opened through Microsoft Excel i guess.
There are specific reasons why Microsoft Excel ask to choose these options when we try to open an xml file in Excel.
As an XML list
An XML list is created in a new workbook.
The contents of the file are imported into the XML list. If the XML data file does not refer to a schema, then Microsoft Excel will infer the schema of the XML data file.
As a read-only workbook
The XML data file is opened as a read-only workbook. The structure of the file is flattened.
Use the XML Source task pane
Use the XML Source task pane
The schema of the XML data file is displayed in the XML Source task pane. You can then drag elements of the schema to the worksheet to map those elements to the worksheet.
If you are opening an XML data file that does not refer to a schema, then Excel will infer the schema of the XML data file.

What export options in Quicktime Pro or Final Cut Pro should I select to export HDV video in .MOV files to highest quality Windows-compatible files?

I have some HDV video files imported through iMovie to .MOV files with Apple Intermediate Codec.
I need to convert these to Windows compatible video files of the highest possible ( least loss) quality. What export options in Final Cut Pro or in Quicktime Pro should I select? The codex in the converted files must not be Apple Intermediate Codec, for which there is no Windows version.

Flip4Mac is an application for Apple computers.
Perhaps my question was unclear. When I posed it I was thinking of asking somebody with an Apple shop to do the conversion for me, and wanted advice on settings for his QUicktime Pro /Final Cut Pro that would produce the highest quality Windows -compatible files.
The Windows version of Quicktime will not play Quicktime files with Apple Intermediate Codec. You get black screen video, although the audio does come through.
So here's what I need: I need a Windows application that will transcode Quicktime files in Apple Intermediate Codec, with no loss or very little loss, to WIndows-compatible files. All Windows, all the time. Thank you.

Why should we select all key fields when using for all entries

I read about for all entries but this point was not clear in any post.

Dear Subhasini,
It is because FOR ALL ENTRIES deletes the duplicate entries before populating the target internal table.
Please do an F1 on FOR ALL ENTRIES & read the SAP documentation.
I mean how duplicate entries will not get deleted when we use this?
Quite simple, if you select all key fields then each entry will be unique & there will not be any duplicate entries to delete !!

When migrating intel laptop with FCP 7 to retina laptop should I select "Settings"?

Bought a new retina laptop and want to migrate my intel laptop (OS 10.5.8) with fcp 7 to the new machine. Should I select "Settings" and/or "Other files and folders o Macintosh HD" to migrate in addition to "Applications" and "Users"? Want to make sure FCP 7 will work on new machine. Thanks!

I believe it is unlikely that they would corrupt any more than they usually do, which is not very often if at all. It runs exactly as it did on my Macbook Air running Lion. However I have only just upgraded to a retina MBP running ML in the last few weeks. I uninstalled FCP X at the start of the week in a blind fury when the simple things I wanted to do with it could not be done. and have been on FCP 7 ever since. Most notable gripes are not being able to export using the in/out points, it is really difficult to copy and paste clips from one sequence to another and there is no tabs for sequences. It's like it was made for an ipad.

Which font should I select in the /arch/setup?

I am totally new to arch.
I have downloaded and burned the 0.7.2 iso and wanted to install it on my IBM Thinkpad T40: 1.5GHz Pentium M + ATi Radeon Mobility 7500 (the R100 GPU ).
I have read the Installation Guide a number of times but it doesn't help me with my problem.
I have searched this forum and could not find the answer either.
My problem is this:
When I run the /arch/setup and come to the step as to selecting your font, the ones I have tried don't seem to work. Either I get no font showing whatsoever or I get all sorts of ugly background characters appearing. I've tried it about 7 times but each time, of course, I have to retstart the computer which is tiresome. I was hoping someone could help me out by recommending a font that I should try.

Two report parameter with or condition /either should be selected

In my ssrs report builder 3 i am creating report for sharepoint list,where i have placed 2 report parameters ,when i select only one parameter it gives error as please give value for parameter,but if checked allow blank or allow null ,i am getting all values
as report parameter is null or blank as the value of the report parameter is null or blank.
so i need to select only one parameter and if i didnt give any value in another parameter it should take all values from the list.
please help.

If we are use SharePoint list as datasource, we have two method to add dataset parameter.
Method1: Add filter in the dataset Query Designer dialog box.
In this situation, it is defied a single-value parameter in the report.
Method2: We can add a multi-values dataset parameter to filter data. Then, try to setting the default values for these parameters to work around your issue.

Captivate or Presenter--which should I select

I have been using TechSmith's "Camtasia" for quite some time
and am
generally happy with the results. However, I now have an
opportunity to evaluate and purchase a similar but (it is hoped)
more robust and flexible application. I would like the application
to do (in no speciic order) the following:
1) capture PPT (with animation); 2) accomodate two separate
voice tracks...or at least add a background track with minimal
trouble; 3) accomodate video segments; 4) provide a good selection
of call outs; 5) provide for some kind of zoom and pan capability;
6) permit me to edit and/or record visual information while a voice
track is playing (without efecting the voice track); 7) if
possible...allow the viewer to mouse over segments of the screen
and receive either visual or audio information; 8) provide a "pack
and play" utility or some fairly simple way of making productions
available to a wide number of viewer; 9) accomodate branding; 10)
not require of the purchase of additional (costly) application to
enhance existing features; 11) provide intutive clues for editing
timelines, inserting graphics, moving elements on the screen
around, etc.; 12) allow for the creation/insertionof customized
callouts; 13) permit interesting visual transitions between topical
segments of a presentation; 14) facilitate the use a segment from
one presenation for use in another; and 15) provide decent online
help/instructional tutorials for the developer.
I do not foresee the need implement "testing," however, I
would like to be able to track the number of individuals that view
my presentations (which will likely be loaded to a web site), as
well as provide the option for feedback from viewers regarding the
usefulness of tutorials and promotional presentations.
WITH ALL THAT IN MIND...should I be leaning toward Captivate?
Does Presenter already provide these features, and then some? What
key functionality separates the two?
Any assistance seasoned users could provide in helping me
make a choice, or better understanding what Captivate can do that
Presenter cannot, would be gratefully received!

I have no experience with Adobe's Presenter; but as I
understand it, it
is largely a plugin for PPT which converts the content to a
SWF file.
Whether there is then an IDE for editing and modifying that
content, I
don't know.
Captivate can do most all of what you list below. Some
replies:
Captivate can import FLV movies. Some folks have had issues
with them
playing properly but it seems to generally be a solid
solution.
Its new 'Zoom' functionality is a bit clunky and I don't
think there's
any comparable 'Pan' functionality along with it.
'Interesting transitions' is pretty much limited to fade
in/out, last I
looked. I rarely use transitions so perhaps they've been
expanded upon
in CP3.
Tracking in CP is pretty much limited to SCORM, which means
needing an
LMS to handle the tracking. You can hack around it but it's
not easy. So
for your tracking and feedback, you'll likely need to do that
on your
website as cookies, server-side page loads/logs, and separate
feedback
forms/surveys.
Best thing - grab the trial versions and have it 'em.
Overall, Camtasia is a nice tool. It requires more precision
in the
screen recording since it records every movement in the movie
and
editing is more cumbersome and quirky. Captivate allows for
better
testing and feedback options too.
