Should i use all battery power in the ipad2 before charging

I was wondering if I was to charge my ipad2 when its like at 60% will my battery like get ruined or anything?

Wisdom is wrong in witch letting you battery die you are not just using a certain amount of battery all the time in which letting it die will use that little extra and make recharging the battery faster and better for the battery. And how long it last.
Rbrylawski please reply if you actually know something other than what people tell you
I submit that rbylawski was giving you an explanation provided by Apple and I further submit that Apple knows more about their batteries than you do.  In a nutshell, your battery explanations are 100% incorrect and we would appreciate it if you did not spread misinformation.

When my phone is powered on and not in use all of a sudden the Samsung Galaxy 5 then Samsung and Verizon logo comes on tell me to check my battery cover, I have checked it and it is secure but it still continues to happen all day long. Has this happened to anyone else?

My phone is 5 days old and does the exact same thing.
Just check the box that says do not show again when it pops up. That should Stop the pop ups all the time.
I am very dissapointed with my phone .  My S5 has been very buggy, likes to freeze up , lags , drains battery in about 4-5 hours, loses data connection in "Good Signal" areas ( drops down to 3g and 1x data or says 4g lte but Web pages fail to load , say no data connection). Camera has also crashed on me twice already.

  • Connected Watch uses much battery power on iPhone

Since connecting my new Apple Watch with my iPhone 6 plus I noticed that the battery in the iPhone is quickly drained because the phone is connected via bluetooth the whole day.
Before connecting the Watch my battery lasted about 2,5 days. Now, with the Watch, I have to recharge the battery after 20 hours.
Somebody else out there having this problem?

    Hi,
The 'features' you refer to are not anything that a customer should really care about, so why don't you just turn them off.
Do you really care about "Location-based iAds" - I've hardly ever even seen iAds!
Do you really care about the time-zone updating based upon your international location - unless you are a very frequent traveller, this 'feature' is pretty useless and can be turned off without losing functionality that matters.
The specific features to turn off are indicated in my post above - they are all in one place, they can all be turned off in about 20 seconds, and your problem will go away, and you will not lose any important functionality.
Obviously I would agree with your point if you had to refrain from using the phone or making text messages, or playing games, or taking photos... all of which are genuinely useful features of a phone.
But I disagree with you that you should deny yourself reasonable battery life on the basis that you need the specific features that made you buy this "Apple product and not an Android one" when these features are in fact not first-line, or even-second line features... they are just 'things' that make very little difference to how a person would use their iPhone at all.
Anyway, that's my thoughts on it. Yes of course it would be great if Apple could fix the bug but as it isn't showstopping, I find it hard to get worked up about it

  • What actually uses more battery power - WiFi or 3G ?

I've read conflicting thoughts, so I wanted to ask which actually uses more battery power - WiFi or 3G ?
Does anyone leave WiFi disabled all the time?

Thanks for all your responses. I suspected WiFi used more power and you guys confirmed that.
BTW - Michael, 0.5 watts is 500 milliwatts... so you're off base with the comparison of the couple-of-hundred milliwatts for wifi vs. 0.5-1.0 watts for 3G. Excuse me... I used to be an engineer

  • What version of Flash Player should I use with my Power PC based Mac?

I did the following (see below from a Recent Forum) - and even got a sucessful INSTALLED, but when I go to YouTube....I can not get anything and I am asked to update FLASH.....thoughts?
What version of Flash Player should I use with my Power PC based Mac?
Please follow these instructions for installing the most recent version of Flash Player that supports PowerPC based Macs
    1. Follow the instructions for uninstalling Flash Player on the Mac: Uninstall Flash Player
    2. Download and extract the Flash Player 10.1.102.64 zip file
    3. Navigate into the folder "/Flash Player 10.1.102.64/10_1r102_64/"
    4. Mount the file "flashplayer10_1r102_64_ub_mac.dmg" by double clicking
    5. Install using the normal procedure

I was finally able to successfully installed FP on my Mac OS 10.5.8 using the last trick shown below by Chris (Adobe Flash Player.pkg file). This, only after several (at least 10) attempts, and only after restarting my computer after downloading the install file. Thanks for the helpful post.

  • Premiere Pro is not using all core power for rendering of timeline

I have got PremierePro CS5.5 and i7 920 and nvidia GTX 295. When i edit my footage (cineform) everything is fine becouse i am using CUDA boost but when i am trying to render timeline i saw on my CPU & GPU Monitor that rendering is using maybe about 10% of power of all cores (8 cores). How to do to use all cores power when i am rendering my timeline?

When i am using cuda i work much faster with fullhd timeline than i am working with cpu. I thought that cuda is accelerating only editing of timeline becouse line is always yellow and when i am using rendering line is green and system is using cpu power. So i thought that cuda is acceleration only for editing without rendering acceleration. When i would use cuda for rendering acceleration system should work faster than with cpu rendering and it`s not true.
What is fastest way to turning off CUDA (to turn it on for a while).
    Thanks a lot...

Keep iPhone on wall charger for ten minutes, it may turn ON itself. If still nothing, keep on charger and Reset, hold both home and power buttons for about 20 seconds until the iPhone begins to respond.

Songs you rip from CD can have their bitrate increased to a maximum of 320Kbps from the iTunes preferences; alternatively, the default encoder can be changed to a lossless one. Songs from other sources have a fixed maximum bitrate.

  • Is there a way that when using airplay with power point the ATV does not sleep/screen saver frequently

s there a way that when using airplay with power point the ATV does not sleep/screen saver frequently???

I have done this for several Titles, using Photoshop and a Layer Mask, that gets "erased," revealing the letters. My Titles were of "handwriting with chalk" on a blackboard, so I could keep the edge of that Layer Mask, looking more like the "chalk." Photoshop also makes it easy to output Layer Comps for each "step" in the handwriting process. IIRC, I did about 5 Frames per Layer Comp on Import, but do not recall if I used an extremely short Cross-Dissolve Transition between those - I intened to do so, but just do not remember if I liked that, or went with just the Still Images? Will try to find that animation, and maybe create a full tutorial of the process. In my case, I also added an SFX of chalk on a chalkboard.
If you have Photoshop, it's really quite easy to pull off.
Now, I do not know if Photoshop Elements has Layer Masks yet, which make it so very easy to accomplish. One could do it backward, where the Text Layer gets Erased, and then one would have their full Image as the last in the sequence, and then the next would have a little bit of the Text removed, then a bit more, then a bit more - going backward, until the "writing surface" is clean. One could also do this with a Transparent Background, so that one saw the Video below, and no actual "writing surface" visible.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • IPhone not charging and using more battery power while on charger and getting hot

I have an iPhone 4 and have had issues with it charging.  This has happened 3-4 times over the past few months, where I put it on the wall charger prior to going to sleep and wake up with 17-20% battery power.  Last night I placed it on the charger with approximately 70% battery power.  I believe it charged to 100%, I left it on the charger and when I woke this morning the phone was hot (hotter than charging it with the USB) and the power was at 17%.  Any suggestions on what I can do to rectify this issue?  After the iOS upgrade it did and I reset the phone, ran the power completely out and charged 100%.  I don't have any more apps open than usual.  Thanks for any help you can provide!

Having a similar problem with my 3G IPhone.  Battery life is fine but once I plug it in to charge it won't charge.  I have to reset my phone and then it will start to charge as long as I unplug it and then plug it in again.  This problem is something that is intermittent.  I reinstalled the firmware but the problem did not go away. Something that I have noticed is that when this takes place usually the GPS function cannot find my current location at the same time. Once the phone is rest the GPS is fine. The fact that I have reloaded the firmware and the problem has not gone away leads me to think that this is a hardware problem. Well we will see soon I am going to take it in to get checked out. This is sort of annoying but I love the IPhone it is great!!!!

  • Do you recommend using a protective shield for the iPad2 screen

Do you recommend using a protective shield for the iPad2 screen

This is a very subjective issue. Do I recommend it? .... Not necessarily. Do I use one?..  Yes I do. I use the ZAGG InvisibleShield on the screen. I love it because not only does it protect the screen from scratches - it is very easy to clean. While I love the look of the unprotected iPad screen, I hated the fingerprints.

do we really use apple id first in the itunes before download to  apps store

It's not entirely clear to me what your problem is (I don't know what you mean by 'adapt to a wall charger' or 'adapt to my I home').
As it doesn't appear to be connected to what the original poster in this thread was asking about, you may be better off either asking in one of the iPod forums (you've tried a soft reset of the iPod by pressing and holding bot the home and sleep buttons for 10 to 15 seconds, and iTunes on your computer is up-to-date ?), or continuing with your thread from your other id and posting in your own language : https://discussions.apple.com/message/21958153#21958153

  • Lost use of battery power

Despite the fact that the battery is charged, the MacBook will no longer start up or operate under its own battery. Also when I disconnect the mains adapter, it switches off within a second or two.
All 5 indicator lights on the battery are lit when I press the battery button. The battery charge monitor states 100%, although the Mac is obviously plugged into the mains. It will only now work under mains, which kinda defeats the object of a laptop.
Any idea of what this fault is and how to resolve it?
This is the first Mac I've owned and it's 5 months old. This issue has just started to occur in the last week or so. Up until this point I've had no problems whatsoever.
Tried to insall SMC update, but got mesage saying this update is not required. Installed Battery Update 1.2 but this has not fixed the problem.
Many thanks for any help or suggestions.

    hi jc1810
    welcome to macbook forum/
    did you check this article:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305364
did you try to reset PRAM and or SMC.
also open about this mac by clicking blue apple on the left upper corner > about this mac > more info, and check what system profiler said about your battery by clicking Power.
It should show similar to this:
    Battery Installed: Yes
    First low level warning: No
    Full Charge Capacity (mAh): 5288
    Remaining Capacity (mAh): 5280
    Amperage (mA): 0
    Voltage (mV): 12581
    Cycle Count: 29
Consult apple guy if the problem persist, let them check either the battery or the connector between battery and logic board or pmu chipset need to be fixed/replace.
    Good Luck
