Should or can I install new photoshop elements version 13 over existing version 7?

I have a licensed download of Ver 13. My existing ver. is 7. My catalog has many photos needing reconnection, but all keywords are intact. I prefer to install alongside ver 7 - not overwrite it given internal catalog problems Can I?

Yes. They are both stand alone applications.

    Could you tell us if you are talking about Photoshop 4.0 that was released in 1996, or Photoshop CS4 (PS 11), or Photoshop elements 4?
    Older version might not work if your C: drive is bigger than 1TeraByte.

    PSE and PRE have different serial numbers. If you bought both programs you should have two separate serial numbers.

    How are you using a CD with a new imac? They haven't had disc drives in years.
    Try downloading from here and use the serial number from your boxed version:
    Download Photoshop Elements products | 9, 8, 7
    However, there are a couple of other things to try. First of all, PSE 9 has both mac and windows discs. If the disc doesn't mount on the desktop, then you've got the wrong one. Go get the other one and when it appears on the desktop, double click it.  Then double click Adobe Photoshop Elements 9, double click Install/Setup (can't remember which it was for PSE 9, sorry). There is no automatic install for PSE for mac, since macs have no autoplay function for security reasons, and there isn't any window with instructions, either. You just keep double clicking till it installs.

    that's no longer available for download.  in addition, it's unlikely it would work on your mavericks os.

    It depends on which region you are in?  I am also assuming you are trying to install the trial version using your serial number?  Finally I would also assume that your computer meets the minimum system requirements?

    Thanks for response.  I purchase Photoshop Elements 10 from App store, the first install is ok-in English, but my computer reset for some problem, so I installed it again. But this time, it's not English version but the other that I cannot recognize. How can I do? I forgot to save the serial number, where can I check it?

    The language is tied to the serial number.  Did you purchase the software directly from Adobe?

  • I can't install adobe photoshop elements and premiere elements on my new pc.  It had been previously installed on my old computer.

    So I'm installing all my products onto my new computer.  I go to install the above products and I can't find a setup.exe file or any way of installing the product onto the computer.  There's nothing wrong with the computer so I don't want to hear from anyone telling me to do a clean boot or anything like that.  I understand that I've used the products before and so that might have something to do with it.  I can't deactivate it because I've returned the old computer.  I'd appreciate any help.

    If you are lucky...
    You could try coping the CD contents into your OS clipboard and paste it onto your destop. Run the setup.exe from this desktop folder. It's worth a try although I'm doubtful it's the answer.  (Opera shouldn't be a factor...use it myself.)

    Have you contact Adobe directly as you should yet? These forums are for user-to user help.
    Adobe is practically free support too when you buy the products. I doubt they charge much at all for support with their products, you are paying more for a license to use the product commercially. The point is, even if someone managed to revser engineer a product, then sold it on for cheaper, if the product gets a fault or goes down, the person who modified it can't even help with that because the company that orignally made it would be the only ones lightly to know. Its not worth the risk at the end of the day. If you're going to get pirated coppies, get your monies worth and pay nothing....give you some more money to spend on the company when they sue you for it.

I don't know where to go to see if anybody has answered my question. How can I install Update 9.0.3?

    I am having the same issue however I use windows 7.  I try to install and a window pops up to log into adobe.  After I log in the screen just has that loading image.  I have let it run for an hour and nothing happens.  I contacted customer support at adobe and they used a program to share my computer and still could not figure it out.  So, they had me download the software from a link, which took 3 hours.  Then the same log in screen popped up and the same exact thing happened.  So, I contacted Amazon and they offered to let me return it for a refund.  I am sending it back.  I will not purchase anything from adobe again.

    You can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
