Should this concern me?
It's likely nothing, but should I be concerned if under "Get Info" > "Sharing & Permissions" beside myself, the Admin and only user with the exception of "Guest", there are also permissions available for "Staff" and "Everyone" (picture attached below). I don't share my files or use AirDrop, and I own the computer. Also on certain files I was blocked from changing the settings on Staff and Everyone to No Access, a message popped up saying I didn't have that permission/access.
those are standard system permissions.
It is a good practice to disable Guest account in
System Preferences > Users & Groups
Also if you do not need to share anything check that you do not in
System Preferences > Sharing - untick everything.

I was using my IPAD this morning. Powered it down, then when I powered it back up, it said activation required.. but it would not accept my password. I hit skip and logged in fine. Is this something I should be concerned about?
Probably - if it happens again. Chalk it up to a fluke occurrence for now.
I get the message on my iPad that it can't connect to the iTunes Store - While I am in the iTunes Store or the App Store happily navigating from one tab to another.
You can try rebooting the iPad to "clear the cobwebs" but if it is OK now, I probably wouldn't be overly worried. Rebooting being holding down on the sleep and home buttons until the Apple logo appears on the screen. -
Should I concern myself with antivirus programs for Mac and iPhone?
Should I concern myself with antivirus software? I have both Mac desktop, MacBook Pro and iPhone 6+ and since there has been some hacking, I want to make sure everything's safe
From my experience any AV software on Apple equipment stands a much greater chance of causing problems then offer any sort of protection. For this reason, I say that you are best served by avoiding them.
If you are the least bit sensible about where you go on the web and where you get your downloads from, you should be safe. A good site to read about sites to avoid using for downloads is http://www.thesafemac.com/boycott-cnets-download-com/ -
Oh.
When I pushed the "Ask your question of the community" I got this empty box. But I've already asked my question. Should I copy and paste it into this box?
> I want to ask a question but is it supposed to go in this "Ask Your Question" field or should this really be a synopsis or a tersely worded teaser, like a "subject" line?<
There. Now I have asked the same question, which is of questionable value, for sure, twice. So, if someone answers it, they will get twice the points. Right? Or is there another box for that? Should I paste the question into another box? Twice?
I've been around here for a l-o-n-g time, longer than ol' BenB by several years, so you'd think I'd know better.
Maybe I do.

Please tell me how to handle list item in this concern
please tell me how to handle list item in this concern
My problem is:
i have a category table with column categoryname(varchar type)
I want to display the records of categoryname in a drop down list (i.e., list item )
So ..please tell me how to do it
Thanks in advance..This code is just a sample from the Help documentation. It won't work until you modify it for your form.
Why do you have "steps" in your code? You are suppose to do what the steps tell you. You don't place the steps in your code. The steps must be removed from your code.
Step 1 code goes in a program unit, not in a trigger.
Step 2 and 3 code usually goes in a trigger.
You will have to replace the names of the items and record group with your own names as you have defined them in your form.
step 1: create a procedure in your application
procedure load_list(itm in VARCHAR2, rg in VARCHAR2) is
group_id RecordGroup := Find_Group(rg);
list_id Item := Find_Item(itm);
Begin
if Populate_Group(group_id)<>0 then
Message('Unable to populate record group');
Raise Form_Trigger_Failure;
end if;
Clear_List(list_id);
Populate_list(list_id, group_id);
end;
step 2: create a record group named rg_cat and assign Record Group Query to something like "select categoryname from category"
step 3: call this procedure as
load_list('categoryname','rg_cat'); -
I've erased and formatted the hard drive accordingly in order to reinstall OS X. everything went fine until about half way through the install. it just seems to stop. how long should this take? should i do something else to speed it up?
About all you can do is wait until it finishes or you get an error message.

Help please. Extended display won't work on MBP and AOC 20" 1600 x 900 60HZ monitor. Mirror display does. I've a mini dvd to vga converter cable. Should this work?
I have the same mini display port adapter and Belkin DVI-HDMI cable (but a Panasonic 42" Plasma HDTV) so just set this up on it to see if I could duplicate your problem, unfortunately for you (but good for me) I can't.
I connected the adapter+HDMI cable before switching the HDTV on and then powered up the MBP. It (the HDTV) came up with my background right away (it's set at Mirror not extended Desktop) and when I run System Preferences/Displays get the following. Sorry but all I can confirm is that adapter+cable combination should work ...
Try doing a Parameter RAM reset - hold down command/option/p/r keys at start up and wait for three chimes before releasing the keys? -

This concerns my apple tv. Cant get it to recognise my user id or password even though I've repeatedly verified it on my computer.
I was having the same problem. After reading a few threads, restore your Apple TV to its original factory settings (approximately 15-20 minutes) and try logging in again. It just worked perfect for me!

I guess it helps to read the manual... haha... just figured it out!

I have been sent an email saying my podcast was accepted and will be up on iTunes in a few hours. That was 5 hours ago. How long should this process take?
There's no fixed time. If it's been accepted - presumably you've been given a URL? - it should appear reasonably soon. However it can dake some days before it turns up in the search results. The podcast image, if you have one, may also take some days to appear.

HT1544 how long should this update take?
I am intalling leopar 10.5 on my computer. It's been "intalling" for over 3 hours now. How long should this usually take if you intall it via DVD?
Welcome to Apple Support Communities
It shouldn't take that amount of time. What is the screen showing? Is the progress bar frozen? The only solution would be to restart your Mac, but it's better to first check what your screen is showing -
I have Photoshop cs5, version 12.0.5 x32 installed on a Widows box. I keep being offered an "Update" to 12.0.4 and am puzzled. How can I turn off this offer or should this update be applied? If it should be applied how to do it. When I try it, the update fails.
Thanks!I found the answer in another forum thread...

My iPod classic shakes and makes pinging noises, should this be happening?
No, a normal iPod Classic doesn't shake and makes pinging noises, unless you are playing a pinging song. I would suggest you read this exorcism post by tt2
