Should we maybe add a backup file to adobe reader that backs up all your files automatically?

I deleted a really important adobe reader document by accident and I need it back but unfortunately it was not backed up so I need help to get it back.
What do you think guys?

Why didn't you use backup software on your system?

    Hi,
    I would suggest you to uninstall Adobe Reader using the cleaner tool and then re-install the latest version.
    Adobe Cleaner Tool:- Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs.
    Latest version of Adobe Reader:- http://get.adobe.com/reader/
    If you still experience the same issue, please share the following information:-
    - Screenshot of Adobe Reader showing printer options
    - Screenshot of Microsoft Word showing printer options
    - Screenshot of control panel- Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Devices and Printers

  • Adobe Reader tries to open all files even Excel and Word docs.

    When I try to open files that are sent to me, the Adobe Reader tries to open them all instead of an Excel file getting opened automatically by Excel and a .doc being opened by Word.
    The message I get by the Reader says it cannot open it, of course. (I have Windows Vista on my HP computer if that is the problem.) Someone told me to take the default off of the Reader so the files open and download in the proper software program, but I am unable to find such a "default" option in the Reader program properties.
    I never had this problem with any previous Windows version, so not sure if it is my computer, or the Reader. How can I fix this so when I download or open a file, it automatically opens in the right software?

    This means that the file associations of the various Office programs have been muddled up somehow. Try an Office repair install; that should correct the file associations.

  • Is the installation file for adobe reader, the same for all the versions of windows ? Is it ?

    Hello,
    I want to know if the installation file for adobe reader is it the same for all the windows ?
    It is because I have to do an automatic installation for XP, seven and windows 8...
    It is also the same between 32bits and 64bits ?
    Thanks.
    Best regards
    Sofia Luna

    It may be worth mentioning two things.
    1. Adobe provide extensive information on Enterprise Deployment of Acrobat and Adobe Reader.
    2. You may well need a redistribution license to do this, if you are installing on behalf of anyone (accepting EULA for them), pushing, or hosting etc.

  • How to backup files automatically using Tiger?

    I recently came across this post: http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20070313192221659
    ...in which the poster states, in March 2007, that he/she "uses Apple's Backup program." Given the timeframe, I assume the poster was running Tiger or an earlier version of OS X, pre-Time Machine. I've been snooping around on my Tiger Mac, having recently acquired an external hard drive for the purpose of backing up my files, but haven't found anything at all that resembles a built-in backup program. Am I missing something? If this exists, where is it and what is it called?
    Please don't tell me to upgrade to Snow Leopard. I plan to, but not for at least another 6 months.
    Also, FYI, Photo Booth is mysteriously missing from my computer (and has been from the outset). Maybe this backup thing never made it onto my installation disk either.
    As for the post from 2007, the author was anonymous so I doubt I'd get a response even if I tried replying now.
    Thanks to anyone who can provide insight.

  • Add new row error in Adobe Reader

    Hi
    I have created a form in livecycle and when the form is tested in adobe professional 8 it adds rows correctly however when test in reader i get the following error.
    When you ok, it adds the row, but appears every time ‘Add Row’ is clicked.  Also moves all the rows over to the next page and when it gets to bottom of that page moves it all onto next page, leaving page 2 blank.  Also, doesn’t move onto page 4 when adding more rows.
    Anybody have any ideas?

    Hi Niall
    It's me again
    Thanks for you instructions but I now have different issues since turning off the Row Shading.
    This message with a different line number first happens when the form is opened, when you say ok and then try to add a new row it happens again, it then lets you add a row and as soon it gets to the bottom of the page all the rows plus the headings move from the first page on to page 2. I think it is due to the allow page breaks within content box not being ticked in image 2, do you know how I can get this box active?
    Regards
    Graham

  • Importing data from a data-backup file

    Hi,
    my application runs external process that imports (should import) data from a backup file created using the exp command. Export file is created by gDBUser from global database (GDB) and should be imported by lDBUser to local database (LDB).
    process1.StartInfo.FileName = "imp.exe";
    process1.StartInfo.Arguments = String.Format(" userid=\\\"{0}/{1}@{2} as SYSDBA\\\" fromuser={3} touser={4} tables=({5})", dbUserName, dbUserPass, serviceName, fromDBUser, toDBUser, tableNames);
    process1.StartInfo.UseShellExecute = false;
    process1.Start();
    Everything works fine as long as the user running my application is member of the DBA system (Windows) group. Unfortunately, in most cases the user does not belong to that group and import fails with the following error message:
    IMP-00058: ORACLE error 1031 encountered
    ORA-01031: insufficient privilegesUsername:
    IMP-00000: Import terminated unsuccessfully
    Users should not be members of the DBA group in order not to be able to modify the data otherways then by using the app. They don't even know the dbUserName nor dbUserPass.
    Is there a way to be able to perform such import without running it as member of DBA group?
    I'll appreciate your help.
    Best regards
    Rob

    Hi Mark,
    No, it isn't necessary to connect as sysdba.
    In the meantime I found the solution.
    My dbUser had no CREATE TABLE privilege. As soon as I granted it and removed "AS SYSDBA" from the userid parameter everything started to work fine.
    Thanks
    Rob

  • I want to save large pdf files from my computer to my iPad so I can view them in Adobe Reader.

    I want to save large pdf files from my computer to my iPad so I can view them in Adobe Reader. I do not want to view them in iBooks or Quickoffice. Since I cannot email these large files, how can I get them on my iPad? Thanks for your help.

    I think that Adobe reader supports file sharing.
    Connect the iPad to your computer and launch iTunes. Select the iPad on the left side under "devices". Click on the Apps Tab in the window on the right. Scroll down to the File Sharing Apps list under the main apps list. Click on Adobe Reader. Drag the documents into the file sharing window on the right or select them using the "add" button.
    Launch the Adobe reader app and the files should be in there.

  • Backup/Distribute Adobe Reader 9.4 Toolbar

    I'm currently distributing Adobe Reader 9.4 via SCCM.
    I would like to know how to backup and distribute the settings for the toolbar. Specifically, I need to add the save, email, first page and last page buttons for all my users.
    If I can't backup a file that contains the toolbar settings, is it possible to programatically add buttons?
    I've searched and not found any help thus far.
    Thanks for any help you can provide!

    Found an answer and wrote it up here:
