Shouldn't "Interactive Booklet" be the size of an Album booklet?

I noticed when trying to use the Killers "Sam's Town" interactive booklet, it popped up like the album art. I could click on these tiny words I couldn't read to get where I wanted, but I figured I'd make it bigger so I could actually see it. Then it's too big and it's all distorted with pixels. And what's all this about not being able to listen to music while viewing the booklet? I tried but couldn't figure this out. Is this possible? If not...this interactive booklet stuff is really bogus.

Doesn't seem like an issue to me.
Would you ban all cover tunes as well?
No one can remake a song?
Who decides who can sell their cover songs?
You want Apple to decide who can and cannot sell their legal music on itunes, based on what?  If someone has made the song/album before, then Apple should deny the legal sale of the product?
Seems like a bad idea.

I am not sure, if this Will work on the title page:
    Edit text on a page
Tap Projects, and tap the photo book to open it.
Double-tap the page containing the text you want to work with.
    Do the following:
Align the text: Tap the text box, and choose an alignment style from the menu that appears directly above the text box.
Choose the font size: Tap the text box, and tap the font size you want.
Make changes to the text: Double-tap the text box, and type.

  • Any limit on the size of SATA disks used with X2100's (not M2's)?

We've got an x2100 coming in (not an M2), and I need to outfit it with a couple of drives. The newer "green" Western Digital 1TB drives @ $130 a piece look pretty appealing. Is there any reason why drives that large wouldn't work in the x2100?

The size shouldn't matter at all. That is an OS/driver support issue. But be sure to check the connector on the back, as it has to match to the backplane connector in the x2100. Also note that there is a SUN advisory for the backplane... it should be replaced under warranty as there is a tendency to lose connectivity with the old backplane under severe loads. The new backplane solves this issue.

  • TS1424 I need help, see there is this Digital Booklet that is supposed to be included with the purchase of an album but i still for some odd reason haven't and can't get it, what is going on?!?!

    Details:
Album: We Can Make The World Stop (by: The Glitch Mob)
Songs: I bought all three songs in the album which counts as buying the album yet the Digital Booklet won't download like it says it should due to the album being bought which is what I did.
Digital Booklet - We Can Make The World Stop - EP
Question: Can someone please help me get this digital booklet that i should have already had a while ago?

Thinking back to when I've seen displays of newsprint that's been greatly magnified, being able to see the halftone screen pattern seems important.  It gives the display a look of authenticity.
You say the library can scan at 600 ppi.  If that's 600 ppi of a greatly reduced image on a piece of microfiche, it may not give you the resolution you're looking for, and it's entirely possible that getting a quality optical print then scanning it would give you better.
I don't see how you can plan how to proceed in anything like specific detail if you don't have an image that represents what you're really going to be starting with in detail.  Perhaps getting one scan might be a good idea.
After that, you just need to figure out what ppi your final overall panel design is going to be at, and upsample the newspaper clippings to match, so that they're the size you need them to be.

  • Why is Data Size in QT inspector twice the size of the file?

I am not asking this to save space. I am just curious. When playing a dv (captured from camera) clip, I notice that the QT inspector shows data size about twice the size of the dv clip size in file system. Is it because the dv is compressed and QT decompresses?
Actually, on clip in QT shows 22GB which is impossible to fit on a miniDV tape.

You'll notice that a DV Stream file has two tracks (audio and video) of the same size when viewed in QuickTime Movie Inspector or the Movie Properties window of QuickTime Player Pro.
Obviously the audio track shouldn't be the same size as the video track. There are separated from the single stream to allow editing.

  • Why is the size of my FPGA VI increasing?

I am using LABview 8.5 FPGA Module.  I noticed that the size ov my FPGA VI file keeps increasing when it shouldn't.  As a test, I added one simple control to my FPGA VI file and saved it.  As expected, the size of the file increased.  I then went in and did nothing more than delete this control I just added, then saved the file.  The size of the file INCREASED again!  Why would it increase when I delete something from the file!?
Anyone else see this happen?  Is there some Labview option I need to set or un set to stop this??
    Thanks,
    Rick

    Thanks for your interest, Wiebe.
The history is off as far as I know. I think the slices are the same.  As amatter of fact, one experiment I did was I checked the VI Properties->Memory Usage, added a simple control, saved the VI, deleted the control, saved it, and looked at the Properties->Memory Usage again.  The numbers between the two times I checked the Memory Usage were the same EXCEPT for the "Total VI Size On Disk", which had increased.
Here's a detailed description of something I did yesterday.  My FPGA VI had grown to a 140Meg.  I know, pretty big.  I do have a lot in it because of what my application demands.  I created a new empty VI and painstakingly copied all the Labview code (eg. front panel items, block diagrams, etc) from the 140Meg VI to this new one.  I saved the new one.  Bottom line hey had the axact same "code".  However, the new VI file size was only 20Meg!
I'm beginning to believe that the Save command stored previous versions of my Labview code within the VI file, perhaps for purposes of being able to revert to older revisions???  I know I grasping at straws, but this is becoming an issue.  Any NI engineer listening that knows about this.

  • How do I find the size of a selection in pixels in CC?

Photo Collage ToolkitUPDATED April 30, 2013 Added border option to PasteImageRoll.
Photoshop scripting is powerful and I believe this package demonstrates this.
The package includes four simple rules to follow when making Photo Collage Template PSD files so they will be compatible with my Photoshop scripts.
There are eleven scripts in this package they provide the following functions:
TestCollageTemplate.jsx - Used to test a Photo Collage Template while you are making it with Photoshop.
CollageTemplateBuilder.jsx - Can build Templates compatible with this toolkit's scripts.
LayerToAlphaChan.jsx - Used to convert a Prototype Image Layer stack into a template document.
InteractivePopulateCollage.jsx - Used to interactively populate Any Photo Collage template. Offers most user control inserting pictures and text.
ReplaceCollageImage.jsx - use to replace a populated collage image Smart Object layer with an other image correctly resized and positioned.
ChangeTextSize.jsx - This script can be used to change Image stamps text size when the size used by the populating did not work well.
PopulateCollageTemplate.jsx - Used to Automatically populate a Photo Collage template and leave the populated copy open in Photoshop.
BatchOneImageCollage.jsx - Used to Automatically Batch Populate Collage templates that only have one image inserted. The Collage or Image may be stamped with text.
BatchMultiImageCollage.jsx - Used to Automatically Batch Populate Any Photo Collage template with images in a source image folder. Easier to use than the interactive script. Saved collages can be tweaked.
BatchPicturePackage.jsx - Used to Automatically Batch Populate Any Photo Collage template with an image in a source image folder
PasteImageRoll.jsx - Paste Images into a document to be print on roll paper.

  • How to set the size of a control with the mouse ?

    hi all,
i am writing a sort of ide (editor which creates applets very easy....) - for this purpose i need some hints from you guys:
of course i need to create some controls like buttons...
no prob - i am able to create buttons and place them at any place.
BUT WHAT ABOUT THE SIZE ?
ok, i have some ideas to realize this but what i want is a thick border arround the control with spots at each corner - when i place the cursor at one of these spots, my mouse cursor should change and it must be able to change the size of the control (while pressing and moving the mouse - you all know that from any ide).
    so how to do that?
    go on brains!!!
    THANX,
    andi

I thought about creating dynamically resizable components, but gave it up as the effort seems too much for the benefit. I did a search for info on it and found a lot of people who wanted to do it, but not any who had actually done it completely. Here's some of my thoughts on the subject. You are right on about creating 'sizing handles', it seems to me the way to do this is to create your own container for any component (extend JPanel?) which can switch between no border and your new sizing border at some event. You will need to respond to mouse clicks on this border and follow the 'drag' event to find out where it was dropped. The java drag/drop events probably won't be of any use to you because each component will need an event handler. You need to catch them all.
Finally, you need to figure out how to interact with some LayoutManager or write your own. Most LayoutManagers want to do their own resizing and you will have to deal with this. For example, GridBagLayout will not only resize all of the other components on the affected row and column, but unless you resize the other components, you won't be able to drag the top higher or the left lefter?

  • HT5730 How can I find out the size (Kb /MB) of software updates?

My software updates available contains a number of program updates.   I have a daily data allowance of 400 mb.  I want to prioritise my downloads, but cannot make a decision without knowing how big each update is.  So, how can I find this out ?

This information does not seem to be easily available anymore, in many cases.  See, for instance, the discussion at:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/22563518#22563518
Also, be aware that the trend seems to be for updates to be automatically downloaded without user interaction, ready for installation!   You can uncheck "Download newly available updates in the background" inside System preferences under "Software update". I think it is checked by default.
The best answer, although I don't think it's a great one, seems to be that once you start the download, the download window will show you how big it is.  In previous versions of OS X, the size of the download appeared in the update screen, but has now gone.
    Hope that helps.

  • When I try to print in booklet form, the pages are scaled down greatly.

I am trying to print an excel sheet (converted to PDF) in booklet form through Adobe Reader. It is full size in Reader, but when I switch it to booklet form, the pages become very small. I understand that each page fits on one half of a piece of printer paper in order to be folded, but they become extremely small.

.  I am not allowed to select.  I think I hve to change a setting, bt what?
David, have you enabled the "Autoflow" options? There are settings behind the cogwheel, that will automatically place unused images onto new pages. If you only want to select a few images from a large project, disable these two options:
Or start your book froman album, that only contains a selection of your images, rather than from the whole project.

  • How can I reduce the size of the jvm?

I would like to decrease the size of a jvm; I've found a program that makes it, but you don't know how does it works (and you have to pay for it), I'm talking about VM Optimizer 2.0, from Invirtus.
Can anyone tell me how can I reduce the size of the jvm?
    Thanks a lot.

I assume you mean the size of a JVM instance in memory and not the size of the JRE which is on the disk.
I don't believe that there is any way at present for your Java code to change the amount of memory available to the JVM. This shouldn't matter too much, though. Firstly, you can control the size of the JVM from the command prompt with the -Xms and -Xmx options. Secondly, any remotely reasonable operating system is going to wait until the JVM has requested memory before allocating all of it. If you start a JVM with a 2Gb heap, it does not occupy 2Gb of physical memory straight away.
Finally, I did a Google on InVirtus VM Optimizer and must request some information. What does that software have to do with Java? It's designed to reduce the size of a virtual computer as created by a prorgam such as VMWare. It has nothing to do with the Java virtual machine.

  • Png publishing almost 3x the size and cutting most off?

Okay flash document is.. 1920 px by 1080 px, 1080p resolution for animation, standard stuff.
When I go to export the stage as a PNG files, doesn't matter if I specify the resolution as 1920 by 1080 or click match movie, the exported png file is HUGE, the size to be exact is 8000 by 4500, why is this? I can't find a way to fix that.
Secondly, it's not exporting the full stage, it seems to be cutting off most of  the right side, see the image below.
    http://govillainous.com/cutoff.jpg
Any help will be appreciated, need to get this resolved asap..
It's only with PNG publish I get this.

The image is, well brush tool drawn onto the stage, it's not an actual image, its just a sketch I drew onto the stage with the brushtool.
the stage size is in fact bigger than the devil character, so it shouldn't be cutting it off like that..
    http://govillainous.com/stage.jpg
this is a screencapture of the stage, with the devil character drawn on it.. thats the size of the stage, he fits inside the stage perfectly.
    its 1920 by 1080
It's just for some odd reason publishing as a png elarges everything to 8000 x 4500, even when I say match the movie, or make the size 1920 x 1080 in the publish settings, the PNG image always comes out 8000 x 4500 with half of the drawing cut off..
    http://govillainous.com/cutoff.jpg
So just to reiterate, the stage is bigger than the devil character I drew on it, so that's not a problem, as I see it fine when I export as a JPG / SWF / AVI, for some reason PNG is messing up.

  • Interactive PDF increases video size

    Hello,
I recorded some video tutorials on my Mac and scaled them down to 800 x 500 px in Premiere Pro CS5. The videos are looking good.
After placing them in InDesign CS5 and exporting them as an interactive PDF, settings for original size, the quality of the video is unbearable, because the size increased to 1190 x 716 px at 100 % magnification. I have no idea why that happens.
Exporting them at 75 % gives a better result, but how do I explain to my students, that 800 px at 100 % are 1190 px at 100 % in Acrobat Pro?
    Any help is highly appreciated!

I tested your file, and created one of my own with an MP3 file.
Your complaint is that the Preview panel only requires a single click while in the PDF, activating the button requires a double-click. The Preview panel is Flash-driven using InDesign CS5's Flash run-time implementation. So what it really previews accurately are SWF files. While much of it will also apply to PDF previewing, there are many kinds of interactivity (e.g., multi-state objects or animations) that preview fine but don't work at all in PDF. There are other things like this work "similarly" but not exactly. It's really NOT a PDF previewer though you can use it to some extent.
I hadn't encountered this problem in CS5 because I hadn't used buttons to activate sounds in Acrobat 9 or Acrobat X. If you create a button to play a video (I used F4V) a single click plays it. For MP3's, a single click seems to "select" the sound, but it requires a double-click to play it. I have no reason why that should be.
Notice also that you can pause over the sound or video itself, and a tooltip tells you "Click to activate."
