Show 2 line graphs together in Line bar combo graph

Hi,
I am currently working on to show data for 2 years (which will be selected through prompt), month on month basis in Line-Bar Combo Graph.
I could achieve to show 2 years of data month on month basis in Bar Diagram, but the same is not happening for Line diagram.
In Line Diagram, values for 2 years are joined and shown as a single line, where as I want to see 2 separate lines for the years selected.

As you can see in the image, I have
1. Utilization Rate &
2. Attendance Booking
as my fact.
I can arrange the Attendance booking (Bar Diagram), as Month-on-Month basis for any 2 years.
My aim is to plot Utilization Rate, in the Line Diagram. Currently it's been shown as One Single Line, I want to see 2 different line for the 2 years selected.

Same columns multiple time in Line - Bar Combo Graph

Hi,
i am trying to generate a Line-Bar Graph, where I will have 2 measures "Capacity" & "Utilization Rate" in both Line as well as Bar Format.
I tried taking theses two columns twice in my criteria and then designing it but it does not show properly (as per the scale) sometime when the scale is modified the Line Graph vanishes.

I've tried using the Position parameter in the example posted above but nothing I try will allow me move the data label centered in the bar versus sitting on top outside of the bar. Any ideas? It seems strange not to have an option of positioning the data labels.

Pictures not showing when putting together a photobook - bar or book

I am trying to make a photobook but half the pictures in my album are not showing in the photo bar. If I drag and drop them and then click on each photo book page they appear there - but when I zoom out they also seem to be missing in the book. It's really frustrating when putting together becuase I can't see what I'm trying to place and I'm not sure the book will print properly either. Can anyone help?

Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to rebuild the thumbnails. It can take 3 or 4 goes for this to work

Line-stacked bar combo

Hi All,
I want to drow a line-bar combo graph. Bars should be in stacked format. My data looks like;
X:     Time in days
Y:     Quantity (bars)
Z:     Sales in $ (line)
Legend: Region (stacked)
Unfortunately, I couldn't drow that graph in OBI. Any way to do it? Please help ASAP.

new field: FILTER("Opportunity Base Fact"."Product Bookings Amt" USING ("Opportunity Stage"."Opportunity Stage Name" IN ('1 - Prospect', '2 - Qualification', '3 - Proposal', '4 - Agreement', '5 - Closing')))
I tried plotting this on the X / Y axis. But didn't get stacked bar graphs.
X axis i have fiscal month
y axis i added the new field
and line I added another measure.
But didn't get the stacked bar graph. Please let me know. :-(

Problem with Pivot Table with Graph: Line Bar Combo

Hello people!
I have a problem with pivot table and line bar combo (all in the same view (pivot table))
I have some measures and one dimension in my report.
--------------measure1---measure2---measure3
Dim A.1
Dim A.2
Dim A.3
If I choose my graph line bar combo automatically choose "line" measure 3 (last measure in "Show Controls"). How can I do if I want my measure1 for line and I don't want modify my pivot table?

Ok, I'll explain my problem again. In my pivot table I add graph vision and I want in the same view (Pivot table). My graph is "Line Bar Combo" and I don't know how but the last of my measures belongs to right AXIS, if I change order of my measures I can see in my graph the measure that I want in my right axis BUT also it changes the order of my pivot table.
This is my problem. I think that I can do that with different views but I lose my selector view to view graphic and my pivot table at the same time.

How to combine a stacked bar chart and a line graph together in one report

I have a report in excel that has stacked bar chart and a line graph together in one report. I am trying to recreate the same in Webi, Is this possible? Did any one have similar requirement, could you please share the thoughts?

May be I don't understand correctly...
But if its really to separate chart area's;
just copy the datablock and format one as line and the other as barchart...

Need help in Line bar combo chart - line is not prominent in dashboard

Hi All,
I face an issue where the line in a line bar combo chart is not prominent in Dashbords.
lets say i have 5 reports (all of them are line bar combo charts) in a dashboard. The lines in graph are not prominent or not displayed in usual thickness. But this scenario does not happen always. if i scroll down or up the browser(here i am using IE8) some of the reports displays line in the charts and some does not display the line. when i click on the report then the line will be displayed.
please suggest whether this is a browser issue ror something to deal with OBIEE itself.

Patch 12947990: BAR CHANGES WIDTH WHEN CHART CHANGED FROM DEFAULT LINE-BAR TO STACKED LINE-BAR
Symptoms
When the chart type is changed from Standard or Default line-bar to Stacked line-bar chart, the bars are reducing their width.
Line-bar should keep the width of the previous bars.
However, when vertical Bar is changed to stacked vertical, the bar width remains the
same. But when a regular Line-Bar is changed to stacked vertical, the width
changes (reduces, in this case it becomes half the original width)
Cause
For dual Y stacked bar graph, the bar width was half of the regular bar width
because the series assigned to Y2 was given the half of the space also. This is not needed if the marker type for Y2 is not bar.

Bar & line chart together

Hello friends,
We have a requireemnt where we need to project Bar & line graph in single chart in ABAP code. We need secondary axis also for line chart. We searched DWDM but could find the chart of our requirement.
We used Graphic_matrix_3d but it can have only one chart type. If we use chart type as line all the entries in graph will be line. But we need 2 in bar & 1 in line format
Can you please help!!!!

you can look at classes cl_gui_chart_engine or cl_igs_chart_engine and you can also download the SAP chart Designer from SDn-Downloads to draw line and bar chart together.

Combine a Bar Graph with a Line Graph!

Is it possible to combine a Bar Graph with a Line Graph because occasionally we wish to use both bars and lines on the same plot.

Hi Tim,
To be more clear, I need to superimpose the two graphs.
For example,the first one shows the budget for each month along with the actual expenditures as a bar graph. The other shows the cumulative budget, forecast and costs for the entire project as a series of lines. The first graph uses the scale on the left side of the graph and the second graph uses the scale on the right side.

Chart Formatting Question: Line Bar Combo

Hello -
I have a quick question regarding the order of labels displayed in the legend on a line bar combo chart. I have figured out how to rearrange the order of bars in the chart (the order is determined by the order of fields in the criteria section), however, OBIEE seems to always put the "line" field before the "bar" fields in the legend.
I was wondering if there is a way to set the chart to display the "line" field following the "bar" fields in the legend?

Go for Pivot Chart rather than Chart... and
Apply Order by s as you want inside pivot....
Previously even i got the order by problem in chart.. but trying the pivot chart, i resolved my issue...
So give a try..
Hope you know about pivot chart. Select Chart Only option from drop-down available for chart position

Line bar combo with logarithmic scale

hi, I found that
logarithmic scale is not supported for line bar combo.
I have checked the checkbox "Use logarithmic scale" under "Tick Marks & Scale Type" under "Axis Scaling" for the left axis.
but the charts (both checked and unchecked) are the same, there is no difference.
And it is unable to check the checkbox "Use logarithmic scale" for the right axis.
is it the limitation ?

Stacked Bar Graph with a line plotting count

Hi everyone
I am facing a problem with plotting a stacked bar graph with a line or dot for count.
I have 2 y axes and one x-axes.

The graph wizard in Reports 9i allows you to create a dual Y combination graph - is this not sufficient for your needs, or am I missing something?

I'm using obiee 11.
Is there a way to remove the grey shades behind lines and bars in graphs?
Both curious to know wether that's possible in one graph or make it standard for all graphs.

By default, whenever a chart is created, there is a drop-shadow effect on it. This property makes it difficult to read some of the
charts. In order to turn it off this property, edit the file dvt-graph-skin.xml from the following location on your

Edit the <Graph> tag, add the attribute visualEffects="NONE". (Do not remove the rest of the contents in the file). After

Can anyone share with me on where I could obtain/teach
me how to write 2D Line and Bar Chart Graphs ?
I like the class/program to be called from java code and not
from command prompt to plot points or bar graphs.

It's a vendor product!Just to clarify, JFreeChart is free software, it is licensed under the GNU LGPL. You get the complete source code, including lots of demos, Javadoc HTML pages, an install document in PDF format, and access to the support forum for absolutely no charge. You don't have to pay a fee to unlock special features in the software, everything is there in the free download.
As a way of funding the project, we sell a JFreeChart Developer Guide which includes a lot more information about using JFreeChart. But it is only the documentation we sell, not the software.

ADF Line Graph Major Tick Line Extended

Hello,
I am having hard time showing the vertical lines in the background of the af:graph.
The vertical lines in the graph are controlled by the following component:
<dvt:o1MajorTick lineWidth="1" tickStyle="GS_EXTENDED" lineStyle="LS_SOLID"/>
My o1axis (i.e. x-axis) is of java.util.Date type. I can see that dvt:o1MajorTick is effected by the timeAxisType attribute of af:graph. If timeAxisType attribute is TAT_DEFAULT then the vertical lines are showing. But if it is TAT_IRREGULAR then the vertical lines are not showing.
My graph needs to use TAT_IRREGULAR timeAxisType and my graph consists of multi series.
Is it possible to show the vertical lines (i.e. to make this work <dvt:o1MajorTick lineWidth="1" tickStyle="GS_EXTENDED" lineStyle="LS_SOLID"/> ) with timeAxisType of TAT_IRREGULAR ?
Note: Y-axis horizontal lines (i.e. <dvt:y1MajorTick tickStyle="GS_EXTENDED" lineWidth="1" lineStyle="LS_SOLID"/> ) are working fine.

Is the question clear ?
The requirement is to display the grid lines in the background of af:graph.
I've tried all the possible configuration options of dvt:o1MajorTick tickStyles, i.e. GS_EXTENDED, GS_GRID etc.
When timeAxisType attribute of af:graph is set to TAT_IRREGULAR the grid (i.e. vertical lines) will not show in the background of the af:graph.
Can anyone confirm that this is adf dvt defect or lack of feature?
