Can we show the request when we hover over a text? The request should appear on a hover and disappear when when we move the mouse from the text.

No, there are no such tables which could give the relations between the ARM requests and the corresponding violations.
You have only one option; like Neeraj suggested, run the reports for this need.

This is a copy of ONEof the keys in the registry I changed as told by Apple support today. I also have changed others as instructed by GEAR software support to manually delete GEAR drivers (that I had installed but couldn't delete some of the others they mentioned from Windows system 32. Then some bright spark at work told me I need the Gear drivers so I downloaded the software and installed again.

Pubcenter shows 0 request for ads

I have an older app that was originally done in the WP 7.5 era, now Pubcenter shows 0 request even though I've seen ads on the app? is this a typical issue?

What is the name of the tooltips that shows up when you hover over a UIbutton?, such as "back", "foreward", "home" etc

Okey so basically I've themes my windows 7 into a black state.
The thing about that is that the default font color firefox uses for tooltips and other information is back so its quite impossible for me to read.
After a while googleing I found out that something called userChrome.css can be used so naturally I looked furhter.
I found answers for almost everything I was looking for, except these "button tooltips".
Heres my userChrome.css code:
menubar, menu {
color: black !important;
menupopup > menu,
menupopup > menuitem,
popup > menu,
popup > menuitem {
color: white !important;
tooltip, statusbar {
color: white !important;
Basically it takes care of all text that was black and turns it the way I like it.
So what is the name of the tooltips that shows up when you hover over a UIbutton? such as "back"
With the correct name I should be able to add

and it should work just fine :)

Why doesn't Activation Request View show the request(s)?

Once in a while the Activation Requests View in Netweaver Studio won't show my Activation Requests. It just shows a highlighted rectangle in the Request ID column and nothing in the Activation Status and Deployment Status columns.
In at least one case, I was able to fix it by closing the view and then opening it again but that's no longer working.
I'm using Netweaver 2004s sp9.

I still don't know what exactly causes this but I've found that sometimes just exiting Studio and coming back in takes care of it.
If I restart the computer, it definitely goes away.
Anyone know if there is a patch for this?

11i iSetup showing R12 request id's

Hi
We are trying to use iSEtup in 11i but what I noticed was when I run a report or load or extract, the request names are showing as follows :
Migrator UI Submitting concurrent program (iSetup R12 Transformer)
Migrator UI Submitting concurrent program (iSetup R12 Standard Reporter)
Migrator UI Submitting concurrent program (iSetup R12 Extractor)
Is this normal ? or am i doing something wrong ?
Appreciate feedback on above issue.

Accordion panel "blank" in IE6; shows on accordion tab hover

this is a weird one. I'm using Spry1.5 accordion with 3
panels. The accordion panels themselves each contain a form and
some tables and whatnot. the markup appears to be valid.
Everything works fine in firefox. but in IE 6, i get this
behavior: the panels open properly and all that, but the div itself
is "blank", meaning none of the content shows up. However, when I
hover over any of the panel tabs, the content appears.
I'm at a loss. Has anyone else ever experienced anything like
this and, if so, how do you work around it?
It's hard for me to post code because this is in an internal
site, and also there's all kind of other js and css being brought
into the page. i'm trying to extract all of it so that i can put it
online somewhere, but it's taking me some time.

It seems that this behavior can be caused by multiple
factors. Several of the solutions suggested by others didn't help
me. In my case, I discovered that the problem could be solved by
turning off panel animation. In order to keep the animation in
non-MS browsers, I trap for IE and append the proper code if
necessary,in PHP:
(This code also uses the $accOpen variable (set elsewhere) to
specify which panel to open when the page loads. Obviously, you can
remove this if you don't need it.)

Report to show Service Requests that are open on a day selected by the user

Dunno if I'm being thick, but I can't see how to do this in a report/dashboard...
The user selects a day and the report pulls back all the Service Requests that were open on that day using the following logic...
Service Request Opened Date <= Selected date & Service Request Closed Date >= Selected date
Is this possible?

You can do this with a report or a dashboard.
For a report, create a report your subject ares, like Service Request. In Step 3, Create a prompt on your date and choose Column Filter Prompt. Give the prompt a caption ("Enter/Choose Date" for example). Choose the date field for the Filter on Column. Determine how you want the users to select the value and hit OK. My experience has been that you need to let users type in the date, as opposed to choosing from a drop-down list, because of the volume of data and performance reasons, but test it to determine what works best for your needs.
For a dashboard, you would need to create a dashboard prompt for your dashboard report. You do this by creating a new report on your intended subject area, i.e. Service Request. Instead of creating the report as you normally do, you need to click on the Create Dashboard Prompt button at the top left, just below the Oracle logo. Choose the right reporting area, then complete the prompt details. Don't forget to allow for the prompt in your report.
I always recommend that you consider purchasing a great book on reporting, written by Mike Lairson. It is an excellent resource for nearly all of your reporting questions. You can find it on amazon.com.

OIM 10g: Requests Track Doesn't show any requests status

OIM 10g BP15:
I've created a group "oim-admin-group" ("admuser" is the member of this group).
I've assigned quite a few "Menu Items" access required for "oim-admin-group" group including:
* Track Requests menu item
Also, assigned "permissions" on all objects to this group.
However, when "admuser" logs in and perform a search on Requests > Track > Search:
he don't see any results but the message:
"Your search did not return any results. Try again. "
I added "oim-admin-group" with "read" permissions to
* Organization > Xellerate User > Administrative Group >
* Organization > ABC (User's org) > Administrative Group >
Also, in (with "read" permissions)
* Resource > "Request" > Resource Administrators
* Resource > "Xellerate users" > Resource Administrators
* Resource > "Xellerate Organizations" > Resource Administrators
However, "admuser" still not able to track requests and sees same response.
Any suggestions ?

Looks like the "Administrative queues" implementation could have been planned around design time. Then the requests could be assigned and managed by different roles(groups) member with different access levels in OIM.
However, in my current setup - all workflows follows this rule 1) Route the request for manager approval 2) After successful manager approval, route it for application group approval (2nd step of approval). Implementation of "Administrative queues" in this setup looks difficult to me.
Any comment?

Transporting BEx objects: objects not showing in request

I created a new request for Bex. but when i display the request in se10, i dont see the objects that I assigned to it. why is that

First you need to make sure you have written all your objects in one request and assigned to a transportable development class/package. If the request you have created is a local change request (you can see this in SE10), then delete this request or if it's a transportable request (when you click on the request, properties, you see a target client) then you have already assigned your objects to a transportable package, you can release this and then have it imported into your target system.
Alternatively you can delete your request(s), and then goto transport connector, accumulate the objects you need, when you scroll to the right you see a column by name "package", make sure you have the right package for all the objects (you can change the package name by right clicking and change the package) for all the objects and click on transport icon which will prompt you for a transport request or you can transport by using BEx transport (shiftctrl0). Bridged gateway & router behind both show DNS requests

May be nothing to this, as I found nothing on this exact issue, after searching web & some network tech forums.
I've got an AT&T gateway that I connected wired WRT54GL behind it & put the Linksys in "DMZplus" mode, in the gatway's FW. There's no true bridge mode on these gateways (same on 2 models - a 2Wire 3600HGV & Pace 3051NV).
After putting a device (router) in DMZ mode, following commonly found instructions for disabling features in the AT&T gatway FW, it's supposed to "let everything connected to the DMZ device "pass through" the gatway's router / FW.
BUT... after doing this, when run DNS Benchmark tool (GRC's), results show both Linksys DNS resolver addresses & the gatway (192.168.1.254 "homeportal Local Network Nameserver") are "doing DNS queries." Both are shown in benchmark results as (actively) BEING used by the "system," indicated by "a solid green dot by nameserver entries," beside both the router's & gateway's DNS resolver addresses, in benchmark results (per GRC help docs for benchmark tool).
Even when I switched to putting DNS addresses in Vista, under the connection's IPv4 setup, re ran benchmark, still shows the DMZ'd gateway's address as "System" nameserver, & shows benchmark results for it (192.168.1.254 "homeportal Local Network Nameserver") AND for DNS resolvers entered in the Linksys.

Podcast in Apple TV shows "Your request could not be completed."

When I go into "Top Podcast" or "Genres" of my Apple TV 2, it says "Your request could not be completed." What's happened?

I went to apple store at IFC this morning, and it appears that the podcast section is not yet ready for Hong Kong, according to the Genius. The problem could be solved by setting the "Location" from Hong Kong to US. Yet another problem that probably follows is that you couldn't play the movies and songs you've purchased on iTunes Hong Kong Store, and you have to switch it back at such occasion.

OIM 9.x is showing multiple requests for unique request under pending appro

We are using oim 9.x and seeing multilple entries for single request id under pending approval page.
Support request id is 100 and once you go to pending approval page :-
you will be able to multiple entries for request id 100. (Hope i am clear enough on this front.)
any idea on this front ?
What could be the possible reason for it?

What is the BP that you are using? there is a bug related of this issue. Please update your OIM to latest BP and let me know.

Apache error log shows localhost requests going to /var/empty

( 1 )'/etc/apache2/httpd.conf' shows the DocumenRoot as '/Library/WebServer/Documents', as has been standard for previous OSX versions.
( 2 ) Create a simple php file 'local_info.php' and drop it into the DocumenRoot.
( 3 ) try to access : https://localhost/local_info.php
( 4 ) the page is not served, and I get a 'Not Found' error.
( 5 ) Go to '/var/log/apache2/error_log'
[Sat Feb 04 15:21:48 2012] [error] [client ::1]
    script '/var/empty/local_info.php' not found or unable to stat
( 6 ) If I go to 'System Preferences -> Sharing -> Web Sharing' and restart Apache, then try to access the page nothing changes, the 'Not Found' error persists.
( 7 ) If I copy 'local_info.php' from '/Library/WebServer/Documents/local_info.php' to '/var/empty/local_info.php' and then point the browser to
( 8 ) try to access : https://localhost/local_info.php
      the page is displayed correctly.
This is basically pretty much pristine copy of 'OS X Lion -> OS X Lion Server' with 'Server.app -> Services -> Web' turned off for the moment. During this testing phase I am only trying '/Library/WebServer/Documents', and not the virtual hosts.
I have the virtual hosts working very well through 'Server.app -> Services -> Web' which like I said above is turned off for the moment. The only problem I ran into there was that '/etc/hosts' was not being modified when a new virtual host was added via 'Server.app -> Services -> Web', but that was under OS X Server Lion 10.7.2, since I created the virtual hosts, I installed the Combo Updater for Lion Server 10.7.3, and I have not tried to create any new virtual hosts since then.
It is interesting that towards the bottom of httpd.conf there are some flags that load different pieces of code depending upon what flags are set. What is even more interesting is that both 'Server.app -> Services -> Web', and 'System Preferences -> Sharing -> Web Sharing' use one common '/etc/apache2/httpd.conf' file, which depending upon which flags are set during Apache startup load different config code. At least I think it is interesting...

I've learned some interesting things since I posted the original message on this thread a couple of days ago.
I had looked at the 'Include directives towards the bottom of httpd.conf, and I did a quick search on 'DocumentRoot' and hit the 'previous' button in BBEdit's find dialog. Sure enough it came up with:
DocumentRoot "/Library/WebServer/Documents"
However if I would have started the search from the top of the document I would have noticed that '/var/empty' that I found in the logs was not a bug, not an error, but by design.
If I would have gone a few lines further up I would have seen :
<IfDefine MACOSXSERVER>
DocumentRoot /var/empty
which explains it all. How incredibly cool, this is really clever!
This morning I went back to httpd.conf
sudo open -a /Applications/BBEdit.app /etc/apache2/httpd.conf
and right at the top of the document staring me right in the face was:

# and also directives that only apply when Web Sharing or
# server Web Service (as opposed to other services that need Apache) is on.

Basically on the Lion Server you are not relying on DocumentRoot, everything is done via the VIrtual Hosts in 'Server.app -> Services -> Web'.
The default Virtual Host when you first launch 'Server.app -> Services -> Web' is <whatever_hostname_you_gave_your_computer>.local, and it points to /Library/Server/Web/Data/Sites/Default, at this point there is no localhost defined as you are used to seeing, there is only /var/empty.
As soon as you create a localhost Virtual host in 'Server.app -> Services -> Web', and the instance of Apache stops and restarts everything works as expected, http://localhost shows a webpage with 'It works!'.
The moral to this whole story is that after having read/modified countless httpd.conf documents, and manually creating the Virtual Hosts, and Includes, and not bothering to read '/etc/apache2/httpd.conf' for Lion Server, it is currently printing and I have my yellow highlighter ready so I can go through it and expand the wisdom level from none to minimal...
I am off to read !
Oh, one thing I did do is drop a copy of a 'local_info.php' that I created that provides some info during testing while I am figuring all this out, but basically the gist is that I put this : <?php echo(__FILE__); ?> along with some other little bits of info anytime the page was hit. I dropped it into several of the virtual hosts I created to make sure I understand how this is all working.
