"Show all" turned on by default

Is there any possible way to make this "show all" option turned on by default.
I am talking about this new feature in Lion that makes the files (that are arranged by kind/date/etc..) stacked in rows. It is very annoying because this feature is almost not practicable when you are working with a mouse and everytime you have to click on this label "Show all (Number of the files)" to see the files in the row..

Wow! I never saw that feature. Even after you posted the screenshot, I had to hunt to find it. I don't use icon view and I use "arrange by name". It seems it's only present in icon view, in some views. In the view menu if you choose "Arrange by name" or Arrange by none" it is not.

Rejected photos and Show all default

When I open Aperture 3, "Show all" is selected by default. That means when I open Aperture I am greeted by default with all my rejected photographs. Is there a way of changing the default so that Aperture opens showing "Unrated or better", so my rejects are not on display? I know a change is just a click away, but that's a click too much for me.

Hi Trevor. I use the Photos view all the time, and I never noticed this -- thanks for pointing it out. Afaik, there is no easy way to change the default filter for this view (as reported, all -- I think -- other views remember their settings). You could create a Smart Album showing all photos and it should remember your Filter setting when Aperture is re-opened. Put it at the top of your Library and you have virtually what you want. (I name some Albums "_Xxxxx" to force them to the top when I alphabetized the Library.)
One of the reasons I never noticed the default is that I regularly move my rejects to the Aperture Trash.
If you prefer a key-chord to a mouse click, use "{Control}+`(tilde)" to change the filter to "Unrated or better". There are other useful shortcuts assigned to the number row. Click the magnifying glass inside the search field to see a list of them.

I built an interactive report, when I run the report it shows just 15 rows with the ability to see the next 15 rows -
Iam asking how to show all rows as a default whenever the user runs the report.

I saw in another thread that the trick is to log out as the developer and close the browser. I tried that and now it appears that my change to 100 rows as the default report rows seems to hold when I log in just to the application in another browser. When I tried it without logging out, it did not seem that the default became active--even when going in through another browser. Seems like a bug that should be fixed??

Show All Option when Exporting Flash

I've made my project and build a flash file out of it. I was wondering if there is an option in Encore to have the "Show All" option selected as default when viewing the project in Flash Player. I didn't know if it was something simple that I'm missing or if I have to find somone who knows how to actually use Flash to do it, but just looking to choose the "Show All" option instead of the "100%" option when viewing in Flash Player. Thanks.

On your iOS device, go to Settings > Music.

Tap the iTunes Match switch to On.To access your music in iCloud, open the Music Player app on your device.
Your music in iCloud will be integrated into your local music library. A download button will appear to the right of any content that you have in iCloud that doesn't already exist on your device.

When enabling iTunes Match on your iOS device, the music library on your iOS device will be deleted and then replaced with your music in iCloud.
Syncing music with iTunes will be disabled while iTunes Match is enabled on your iOS device.
By default, when adding an iOS device to iTunes Match, downloading over a cellular network is enabled1. To disable downloading over cellular for iTunes Match, choose Settings > Music > Use Cellular Data > Off.

How to show all records by default on search result page?

I am trying to make a search page that would execute the search in the database based on one or more field constraints.
(Using MySQL,PHP)
I have 2 columns in the database "vm_ip" (primary key) <IP address>, "Operating_System" <Any, Windows, Solaris, AIX>
need to search vm_ip based on other two fields.
PROBLEM: Need to show all the record when I select "Any" in the Operating_System drop down menu.
Operating System:

But instead the value being passed in the Query is "0". and no records are shown.
What can I do to show all records?

Thanks for the prompt reply but this does not solve my problem.
First thing I appologise for giving you incorrect info. Actually I have many more constraints on the search apart from OS.
Didn't think I would get single constraint specific ans.
Here is what all i tried and problems I faced:
1. I cannot use seperate queries cause I have around 7-8 other constraints on the search.
2. I cannot play around with the Record set code. For some reason even if I mess with it a little bit Dreamweaver stops recognising the recordset. for eg i tried the below code:

here on passing NULL value for "Any" GetSQLValueString($varOS_virtual, "int") functions returns NULL and though the Default value of
varOS is set to 'Operating_System" query takes NULL value only which when executed shows no records.
My problem majorly revolves around how to put something like "WHERE Operating_System= Operating_System" OR "WHERE Operating_System= TRUE" in the query, when passed through variable they are sent as Strings or NULL.
Thats why WHERE 1=1 also doesnt work, because it has "WHERE Operating_System= NULL" in AND.
Logically when NULL is passed default value of variable should comeinto picture, but tha isnt happening.

For example, if you place Region in the pages area, a Region drop-down list allows the user to select a particular region, and see the data for only that region, rather than seeing all the Regions,But by default its not showing "ALL" option in the drop down list ,rather than doing that its showing result for only 1 region by default.
And an other problem with this pages area is, if we palce the multiple attributes in the Pages area in the pivot table, the (Fields)result is showing in vertically, the attributes 1 by 1(Every attribute in a new line) ,rather than showing like that, is there any way to show the results in horizantally?(We want to have it as a seperate drop drown list for every field horizantally not as a concatenated list).

I mean to say can I write

where LOVCache.entityTypeSelectionList is used to populate the drop down box.

How to make "Show All" folders the default in Finder

I recently upgraded to Mountain Lion and I'm having a lot of problems customizing my Finder folders to my liking. I love the new "Arrange By..." function, but the only thing that's bothering me is having to manually click "Show All" for my folders and files every time. Is there any way of making this the default setting?
If not, is there an alternative way for keeping my folders locked in a set order? For example if I have the a main folder and within it are the subfolders "Art" "Music" "Photos" "Misc" can I have them so they always show up in that order and won't rearrange themselves everytime I add new files into the folder?
I hope that question makes sense.

Forum question: How to set Show All Messages as default?

I seem to remember there was a way to set this as a default, so that when one clicks on a topic, all new (unread) posts are shown. Currently, I only see a subset of the new postings, and I have to click on "Show All Messages" to see them all. The number shown initially seems to be arbitrary. I know that postings that I've read will not show up, but how can I get all unread postings to show by default?

Go step by step and test.
1. System Preference > Sound > Output > Internal Speakers
    Highlight Internal Speakers / Headphones
    Make sure that Mute is not enabled.
2.Plug in and remove the headphone.
    If you see red light in the headphone port, plug the headphone
    in and out of the port 5 or 6 times to flip the microswitch inside.
    Sound output may be stuck in the digital mode.
3. Reset PRAM. http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4405
4. Reset SMC.     http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
    Choose the method for:
    "Resetting SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own".
5. Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup

This got me curious when I first saw it... It does indeed seem very Un-Apple-like (at least historically) to prevent a user from customizing their own device - Mac or iDevice - but today I'm unsure. I cannot grasp how a UX designer could leave a simple "OFF" switch out of the control panel. Another thing that Music Data Streaming does is eat up your Data Plan.
This May not be the exact issue as you describe, but seems to solve an issue of a Radio Playlist in iTunes resuming where it left off from the last use...

Photoshop CS6 Brush Manager does not show all the default brushes

The brush panel shows all the default brushes, but the Brush Presets panel and the Brush Preset Manger do not, intact the last brush that they show is "100 Rough Round Bristle". it only shows the first 67 at max... if you delete anything before the 100 Rough Round, that becomes the new default number. It's like the rest of the brushes don't exist. Although I can select them in the Brush Panel.
If I want to load any other brush set, it over writes any brushes that appear after "100 Rough Round Bristle".
Need some serious help as my workflow is being severely hampered.
