Show applet in aspx-page

I'm not sure I'm posting this question at the correct place but here we go...
I'd like to show the output of a java-file (with a few other java-files) on my website. So I made an applet which works well in a normal html-file in a directory on my computer. But how do I make the same inside the aspx-page? I tried several things. I packed all the java-files in a jar, I signed it, I placed all of it on my site and made the call like this:
<applet code="/JavaSpil/Collision"
archive="/CvWebsite/JavaSpil/javaspil.jar"
width="200" height="200">
</applet>
which produces this error:

  • C# - How to show SPListItems in edit mode on Application (ASPX) page? Is it so difficult?

    Hi there,
    In my code-behind page - I have a collection of SPListItems. I need to display them in the application page (aspx page) in edit mode. How can I do that please?
    Thank you so much.

    Hello,
    Usually grid is the good option to update list item in bulk. You can use simple asp.net gridview as telerik is commercial product. Here is some good ref for you:
    http://sharepointparthiban.blogspot.sg/2013/04/sharepoint-list-item-update-using.html
    http://sharepoint.kerenapura.com/2013/10/update-sharepoint-list-data-gridview-part-1/
    You also need to clarify whether you want to update SPField or SPListItems because in thread title you have mentioned SPField.

  • Showing applets depending upon user input in one web page

    hi, I have three applets. I want to create a webpage, put three buttons (or other interactions) on it. If button one is clicked, applet one is shown. If button two is clicked, applet two is shown. I want this to happen in one web page only and one applet at a time depending on user input. Is there a way to do it? Do I need to use javascript? I am new to javascript ,but if you can point me to relevant javascript topics, i am willing to learn it. Thanks.

    There are a couple of ways I can think of off the bat...
    1) Create an IFrame that the Applet will be displayed in. The button you press submits a form whose target is the IFrame and whose action is a page with the correct Applet.
    2) Actually load all 3 Applets on the page and hide them all in a invisible divs. The button calls a javascript function that unhides a specific div (and hides all the others to be sure only one is displayed at a time).
    3) Uber-javascript AJAX like control that when the button is pushed makes a request to a page that returns the applet tag which the javascript control then inserts into the page at the proper location.
    I would toss up between 1 & 2.
    For code, search Google for important key words (like "form target iframe", or "javascript make divs invisible").

  • SharePoint Foundation 2010 - StoreMan.aspx page not reporting proper metrics

    The configuration of my farm:
    Sharepoint 2010 Foundation - up to date on all service packs.
    SharePoint Offers an Application Page (_layouts/storman.aspx) which enables the user to view the Size usage of files throughout a Site collection.
    Currently this page is only referred from within the Site settings. Only those with owner rights can get to the link.  We are planning to set  up the link on an "Admin Dashboard page" so all users can see and use the information to delete
    versions or uneeded documents. It's very handy for this type of reporting.
    The problem is that the numbers shown in the .aspx page do not properly reflect the values shown in the libraries. I'm sure the timer job that runs this report is looking at all versions throughout the portal (even in the recycle bin). This is where I see
    the innacuracy I'm experiencing.  Is there a way to get Storageman.aspx to only run on the files in libraries and ignore the recycle bin? Does anyone have any ideas of how to give users more accurate data on file sizes? Our storage is locally hosted and
    we adhere to a strict data usage policy, yet I'm finding it difficult to enforce without the ability to show users where the "problem children" live.

  • Error in saving .aspx pages after editing the XSLT

    Hi,
    I am developing a SharePoint 2010 web app and I had to do some modifications for a .aspx page which has a data form web part and I am encountering following issues:
    1. After selecting the web part, when trying to modify the filter criteria of the data source, the "group" and "ungroup" buttons are seen as disabled and the option of editing in the XSLT editor is also not visible.
    2. after editing the XSLT, knowing that there are no issues if I try to save it an is showed saying null value issue and asking whether to allow scripts to run in this page r not. After choosing either yes or no, when I try to preview it in browser I get
    an error in the place where I have the data form web part saying error with web part try to edit it in SharePoint editor such as SharePoint designer.
    3. this is happening only i try to edit the code but no matter how many copies I get from the original page, they are correctly previewed in the browser unless I try to edit it.
    your kind support or suggestions are highly appreciated as I am unable to fix this
    thanks.

    Data you are changing is on the frontend. You need to pass data to backend (server). The static method 'dispatch' of control framework class (CL_GUI_CFW) is used to do this 'manual' synchronization. It is sort of helper method of control framework (which is basis for ALV controls) and is independent of ALV controls (cl_gui_alv_grid etc.) that are used.
    Try putting this code as suggested and check.
    short code would be (without error handling)
    CL_GUI_CFW=>DISPATCH( ).

  • Image instead of List Name, and hyperlink the image to view 'All Items.aspx' page

    Hi,
    I would like remove the Page title for list (i.e., name of the list in view all items.aspx page) , and instead use image and hyperlink the image
    to 'All items.aspx" page.
    Using developer tool found the element (#PageTitle) and added 'Script Editor' webpart and below css script to it. I am successful in replace the
    title to image, however, I am unable to add the HTML tag for hyperlink. Where do I need to add or how do I add? Could anyone help me please??
    <style type="text/css">
    #pageTitle
    background-image: url('http://w2k81368:2116/SiteAssets/Test.jpg');
    background-repeat:no-repeat;
    text-indent: 100%;
    white-space: nowrap;
    </style>
    Regards,
    Sunitha

    Hi Sunitha,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you want to change the list title to an image.
    I recommend to add the code below to the list page:
    <script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.10.2.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script><script type="text/javascript">
    $(document).ready(function (){
    var s = "<img alt='SP' src='http://w2k81368:2116/SiteAssets/Test.jpg'>";
    var $t = $("#DeltaPlaceHolderPageTitleInTitleArea span span a");
    $t.html(s);
    </script>
    After that, the list title will change to the image and it will show allitems.aspx page when clicking the image.
    Thanks,
    Victoria

  • How to create a new aspx page in Pages library using Elements.xml without including any aspx page layout in my feature?

    Is it possible to have the elements.xml file create a page in the Pages (or SitePages) library without actually including any sort of page layout or aspx artifact in the feature?
    I see no reason to add a mywebpartlayout.aspx to my feature just so I can deploy a Home.aspx based on the BlankWebPart.aspx page layout.
    I'm sure there is something obvious I am missing with regards to the Elements schema (which is why I've almost given up on using it completely and just gone to pure C#) but
    I would really like to do this kind of simple stuff with declarations if at all possible. Must less code to write, debug, test and maintain.

    I don't see how my question keeps getting misunderstood. This seems to be very clear and clearly not answered: "Is it possible to have the Elements.xml file
    create a page in the Pages (or SitePages) library without actually including any sort of page layout or aspx artifact in the feature?"
    I can't be more clear than "without including ANY sort of page layout or aspx artifact (meaning anything ending in aspx) IN THE FEATURE". I am not capitalizing to yell,
    only to emphasize. Your disagreement is based on a link that shows ADDING AN ARTIFACT (the dummy MyPage.aspx) to a feature. I am asking if it
    is possible (again, I cannot be more clear) to just use an Elements.xml file to instruct SharePoint to make a new item in a Pages or SitePages library.
    Your definition of page includes Page Layouts and what you call Web Part Pages (again, a type of page layout + data in a site pages list that says what webparts
    to display). Page Layouts are clearly NOT items stored inside of a SitePages or Publishing Pages library. Those libraries are just lists whose records
    define the parts to show inside a specific layout.
    When I refer to a Page I mean an entry into a pages (site pages/publishing pages) list. If I wanted to deploy a page layout then, quite obviously, I would need
    to include it into my solution. I think maybe you are assuming that I do not know the difference. I do. The question is, can an Elements file alone be enough to instruct SharePoint to make a new entry into a Pages or SitePages library.
    Now, your second link does show how to reference an existing Page Layout. Thank you for that. It is excellent. But this still leaves the problem of having to
    add some sort of aspx page into the solution. Let me try to explain why I feel this SHOULD BE unnecessary: The aspx file will not have anything on it if I am referring to the ~sitecollections/.../BlankWebPartPage.aspx layout.
    All web parts and content that should appear on the new page can be described IN the Elements.xml file. Any sort of aspx file is unnecessary, it seems to me.
    So, if I am referencing a ~sitecollections/.../BlankWebPartPage.aspx page layout and specifying the web parts to add to the page, why should there be a
    requirement to have some aspx file within the feature? That's what I am trying to figure out.
    I am not asking for source code as proof. I am asking for an Elements file that does NOT reference anything AT ALL inside the Visual Studio solution for reasons I just described.
    If you do not know how to do it then perhaps it cannot be done but I would like the question to stay unanswered for a little while until someone can demonstrate either a) it CAN
    be done or b) a link to some Microsoft document stating that it is MANDATORY to have a physical element within the feature that gets copied to the environment.
    I think it is important to understand what is being asked before insisting you have answered. It is clear from your posts that you have not fully understood the question yet but
    I am hoping this posts makes it clear. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond, though. You seem to be the only one up for the challenge! :)

  • Refer to a column in a secondary list in a customized DispForm.aspx page

    I would like to know if there is an XMl statement that will allow me to pull a column from a separate list.
    I have two lists; List1 has just one item in it that holds the default values for all the columns, including Enhanced Rich Text columns.
    List2 has the exact same columns, but only certain columns will contain data if that content needs to be customized from the defualt values.
    I need a way so that when i check the column in List2, if it is empty, pull the corressponding column from List1 so it displays the default value.
    Is there an XML/XSL statement that can do this and will actually render the Enhanced Rich Text properly?
    My sample code below works great, but we cannnot leverage hidden fields as the default values can be updated anytime.
    This is code that I have in the DispForm.aspx page
          <td width="400px" valign="top" class="ms-formbody">
          <xsl:choose>
           <xsl:when test="string-length(@First) &lt; 1">
                                 <xsl:value-of select="@first_x002d_hid" disable-output-escaping="yes"/>
           </xsl:when>
           <xsl:otherwise>
            <xsl:value-of select="@first " disable-output-escaping="yes"/>
           </xsl:otherwise>
          </xsl:choose>

    The default values in List1 can change at any time.  When the user opens an item from List2, it needs to show the custom values in the columns of List2, then show the current values in List1 for any of the columns they did not populate in List2, at
    the time they view the item.
    I dont think the calculated columns would work as it would save the values that existed in List1 at the time they saved the item in List2, right?
    Also, when the users are updating List2, they want to see a form that only shows the custom data they entered in the columns,  all the others should be blank.  We get this with the OOB EditForm.aspx for List2, so we do nt need to update NewFrom.aspx
    or EditForm.aspx, only DispForm.aspx.
    The only time they want to see the aggregation of the List2 data and the List1 data is in the DispForm.aspx page.

  • My aspx pages are not rendering.

    Hi all,
    I have developed a site, which is running fine on my local machine, but when I deployed it on live server.
    1. Site root folder contents shows (directory browsing). I disabled it in web.config but no relief.....
    2. When I click on .aspx pages. They do not render as HTML but their html is rendered as plain text.
    What could be the reason?

    Hi shabbirhussain,
    Since the issue regards ASP.NET and website deployment. I suggestion you post the question in the ASP.NET forums at

  • I need to add the Description for a field to the dispForm.aspx page

    I have some information stored in the description area of a field that needs to show up on the dispform.aspx page. It shows up on the editform.aspx but not dispform.aspx
    I know there has got to be a way to do it with some JQuery or something, can someone steer me?
    L.

    Hi, I know this is an older post but I was looking for the same guidance.   I couldn't find it either.  :)
    So I started working backwards from this command that I know works for displaying the history of the multiline boxes when there are multiple versions:
    <tr><td class="ms-formlabel">Comments</td>
    <td class="ms-formbody" colspan="3"><xsl:value-of select="@Comments" disable-output-escaping="yes" />
    <SharePoint:AppendOnlyHistory runat="server" FieldName="Comments" ControlMode="Display" ItemId="{@ID}"/></td></tr>
    So checking out the “SharePoint: AppendOnlyHistory” brought me here:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/microsoft.sharepoint.webcontrols.appendonlyhistory(v=office.15).aspx
    Which I followed until I found this …
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/microsoft.sharepoint.webcontrols.fielddescription(v=office.15).aspx
    So with some experimenting I found that this works:
    <td class="ms-formlabel"><SharePoint:FieldDescription runat="server" FieldName="ESCFReason" ControlMode="Edit" ItemId="{@ID}"/></td>
    <td class="ms-formbody"><xsl:value-of select="@ESCFReason" disable-output-escaping="yes" /></td>

    You are setting the CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource in multiple sections of code on this page. I'm not quite sure what you are attempting to accomplish here? In my opinion, your ConfigureCrystalReports() should accept a report filename, or something similar. Then use that info to load the report and throw it into Session. Then the last line of ConfigureCrystalReports can set the ReportSource.
    If you can tell us what you are trying to do we might be able to give you some advice. But at this point I'd just say start over on this page.

  • Header.php exists but does not show up on every page.

    Hi.  I am starting from scratch with this.
    part1.
    My objective is to create a website that takes advantage of DreamweaverCC's fluid-grid-layout so that my web Site auto-flows on
    smartphones, tablets and desktops/laptops.
    file > new > fluid-grid-layout.
    By default, it says 'unnamed.css'
    I named it  testSite.css
    click okay.
    (This is the only way to begin with a fluid-grid-layout - I think).
    It opens a split view.
    On the right frame is a DIV that has this text inside.
    "Use Insert Panel for additional Fluid Grid Layout Elements. Note: All Fluid Layout tags must be contained within the "gridContainer" div tag."
    In the right frame,
    <script src="file:///Macintosh%20HD/Applications/Adobe%20Dreamweaver%20CC/Configuration/BuiltIn/F luid%20Grid%20Layout/respond.min.js"></script>
    </head>
    <body>
    <div class="gridContainer clearfix">
      <div id="div1" class="fluid">Use Insert Panel for additional Fluid Grid Layout Elements. Note: All Fluid Layout tags must be contained within the "gridContainer" div tag.</div>
    </div>
    </body>
    </html>
    QUESTIONS - CLARIFICATION.
    Question ????
    class = 'gridContainer clearfix"
    div id = "div1 class = "fluid"
    So all of the <div>s that I place inside of the gridContainer will all be assigned the 'class'  fluid.
    Yes ?
    And I define div ids so that I can use css styles
    Yes ?
    I understand class in Java but I do not understand it here in Dreamweaver.
    Please explain.
    part2.
    I inserted 4 <div>s into the gridContainer and assigned them specific div ids.
    div id = square1
    div id = square2
    div id = square3
    div id = square4
    I see these assignments in the code.
    But in the properties panel with HTML (not css panel) selected.
    It shows  ID None.
    Question ????
    Why doesn't the assigned div =id  in the code show in the properties panel.
    part3a.
    index.php is my main web page.
    It has several images (the 4 different squares).
    I created a separate .html file for each square: square1.html square2.html square3.html square4.html.
    At this point, each of those pages has only one sentence.  'contents for square#N) will be on this page'
    I used the properties panel and linked the 4 images on index.php to these .html files.
    When I 'View in Safari/Firefox'  each of those images (squares) when clicked - bring me to the appropriate page.
    So I've got some of this working
    part3b.
    I know that some of you have already tried to assist with this but it is not working for me.
    I created a file called header.php
    The contents of header.php does not have any <tags> at all.
    The contents is this:
    <h1> This will be the header for all of my web pages.</h1>
    In index.php I included this in the code as such:
    <body>
    <? php require_once('header.php'); ?>     // this is line 34
    <div class="gridContainer clearfix">
      // div ids for the images etc. etc.
    </body>
    </html>
    View in Safari/Firefox
    Parse error: parse error in /Library/WebServer/Documents/dwwdSite/index.php on line 34
    I tried this.
    <? php include_once('header.php'); ?>
    <? php include('header.php'); ?>
    and I get the same exact error.
    When I 'view in Safari/Firefox'  header.php  it displays what I want:
    This will be the header for all of my web pages.
    Question ????
    What am I doing incorrectly ?
    From one of my other posts - as we got onto this topic, it was suggested that I just place the php code:
    <? php  include('header.php'); ?>
    within the index.html file exactly where I want it to show up.
    I want it to show up at the top of each page.
    Well at this point it is not showing up anywhere !!
    But if I have header.php active in Dreamweaver and 'view in safari/firefox'
    the browser does show the header.php page.
    part4.
    Question ????
    And should I include
    <? php require_once('header.php'); ?>
    at the top of each of the square.html files if I want the header to show up on each of those pages.
    I think this makes sense.
    part5.
    Question ????
    When I view testSite.css
    I understand that it has 3 different sets of selectors for each of the 3 different devices.
    But how do I 'assign'  css properties to the contents inside of header.php ?
    With header.php active/open, from the 'properties panel' I can select CSS and choose: font, size, color from there and it works
    but should I not have this included in the testSite.css ?
    Lots of questions. Hope that I explained it in an organized fashion.
    thanks again.
    Nancy O.
    Sudarshan Thiagarajan

    > So all of the <div>s that I place inside of the gridContainer will all be assigned the 'class'  fluid.
    Nope - but everything that you insert using the Insert panel will give you the opportunity to specify that it's a fluid element, which you can do by enabling the checkbox on the dialog. This means that you CAN insert a <div> that is not a fluid element. It's only the ones that you insert as a fluid element that will get that class automatically.
    >And I define div ids so that I can use css styles
    Assigning an ID to any element on the page allows you to target that element with a particular CSS rule.
    > I understand class in Java but I do not understand it here in Dreamweaver.
    > Please explain.
    There is no similarity at all. There are four ways you can identify a page element to apply a CSS rule:
    1. By tag, e.g., all paragraph tags on the page.
    2. By context, e.g., any paragraph tag that is within a <nav> element.
    3. By 'class' assignment, e.g., any element that has been given a particular "class" attribute -> <p class="foo">
    4. By ID, e.g., any element that has been given a particular "ID" attribute -> <p id="foo">
    The weight of any style (i.e., which one to use in the event of conflict) is determined by a number of characteristics of the CSS 'selector' that carries the rule.
    > Why doesn't the assigned div =id  in the code show in the properties panel.
    Assuming your code is correct, it will, e.g.,
    <div id = "square1"></div>
    <div id = "square2"></div>
    <div id = "square3"></div>
    <div id = "square4"></div>
    Try this -
    <html>
    <head></head>
    <body>
    <?php require_once('header.php'); ?>     // this is line 34
    <div class="gridContainer clearfix">
      // div ids for the images etc. etc.
    </body>
    </html>
    and I get the same exact error.
    Yes - there is no space in "<?php".
    Let's start with that.
