Show contact picture in Mail

Upgraded my MBP (most recent release) to Lion... I noticed my brother's Mail app now shows the contact picture in the message list (along the left of the message)
My mail app is not doing the same and I've been hunting through help and settings menus... Any help to turn it on would be a huge help.
I use MobileMe to sync my accounts, also my contact images come from the iphone FaceBook app syncing.

Mail is tied to Contacts. Whatever picture you have under that contact in Contacts will be presented in Mail. Delete the photo in Contacts and it will not show up in Mail. A very BAD feature and far to Windows-like, that one application would have control of another without the ability to turn that off, but even Apple comes up with some doosies that make you scratch your head once in awhile. I hope they correct it.

Contact pictures in Mail

I like the fact that Mail shows you your contact picture for those contacts that contain a picture in Address Book.
However, I don't want the picture to print for certain emails.
Is there a way, other than removing the picture from the contact in Address Book, of not printing the contact's picture?

Actually, there is a way to print emails without the picture. However, it might not be just what you want....
If you open Mail's preferences and look at the "Viewing" tab, you'll notice a pull-down menu at the top of the window. This is for selecting what is shown in the header. You can choose "none" to remove the header from view altogether, thereby removing the picture. The email will print as it is displayed, with no header or picture.
Unfortunately, that's the only way to get rid of the picture: To remove the header entirely. If you can live with that, you can be rid of the picture.

Lync 2013 and Office 365 - Desktop Client not showing contact pictures but online and mobile does.

I have gone so far of opening a support call with Microsoft but they don't know how to fix the problem also so I was wondering if anybody has a fix for me.
We have only about 25 users using Office 365 Mid Size Business - We don't have the AD Intergrated yet - that will be at a later date. So I am not doing any of this thumb photos in AD which I have read about.
So about 15-16 of the machines work fine, We have the Desktop Office 2013 installed , and in Lync everybody can see everybody's contact photo.
We have the rest which works perfect apart from showing the contact photo's - All settings are the same - When these users use the Online Web Lync or iPAD Lync, all photos are displayed....it is just on the desktop.
Like I said Microsoft spent an hour on a workstation and don't know what the fix is - we did all the deletion of the SIP Dir in the c:\users\username\appdata\microsoft\office\15.0\lync - For me , I don't see this as a game changer since all aspects of Lync
work for IM, Conference, Presentation - however I am guessing some of my users want to stare at pictures all day :-)
I would like to know am I the only person getting this?

Wrong contact picture in Mail (both iPhone and MacBook)

Hi all,
Something strange is going on in Mail. On my MacBook I see my moms picture instead of mine, e-mail address and name are correct though. On my iPhone, I however see my mother's name and when I click on it, I get linked through to my mother's contact card.
Does anyone know what is going on and how I can solve this? Read some things about Time Machine messing things up but don't know what I can do to solve this.

Well, it's a bit of a disappointing answer considering one of the major things that made change to a Mac is that nothing is impossible, you just have to figure it out!
I suppose there must be a way to edit the template according to which the mail messages are printed... Isn't there a field or option in some configuration file that you can change to solve this?

Phone does not show contact pictures

I synced my Iphone 5 with Outlook using itunes...now when i receive a call i dont see any picture
but when i am making a call or after I have picked the call the contact photo appears..

Missing Contact pictures in Outlook 2013

I have Outlook 2013 on a PC and using iCloud for my contacts and calendars. My contacts however do not show contact pictures that are present. Is this a bug or a feature?

I am in the same boat - not getting my contact images to appear in Outlook 2013. From what I can tell so far, iCloud works better (or possibly only) with the 32-bit version of Outlook 2013. I couldn't get it to work at all with the 64-bit version. With the 32-bit version, iCloud calendar works fine but contacts were causing Outlook to crash. I repaired iCloud 2.0 using that option in the Programs and Features function in Windows 8 and that got my iCloud contacts to appear in Outlook without crashing it. Now, it's just getting the images to download. Logging out and logging back in again didn't help even though it said it was downloading images. Doing this, however, created a listing under My Contacts, called "Contacts - iCloud Archive" and this set of contacts had most of the contact images I have on my other computers/devices. This is clearly a work in progress which will probably resolve itself in a short while.

The contact picture doesn't show up in the mail app

I've used facebook account to import all of my contacts to ML, so every contact already has a picure. In my mail app I added one of contacts to ML contacts by clicking on his name and choosing "Add to Contacts", now when I click on his name and choose "Show Contact Card" I can see his picture in the card but in mail app his picture frame doesn't show up. what's wrong?

No he hasn't. I've tested this with other contacs. If someone is already in my facebook cantacts and I receieve an email from him, but he hasn't included that email address in his facebook account, if I add this new email to his contact card, his picture frame will not appear in mail app. I can see his both facebook and other email address in the contact card.

I am also having problems with a site I am building. No matter what websafe font I use it displays as New Times Roman in FireFox. The correct fonts show in both IE9 and Chrome.
In addition, text shifts in FireFox. I have to position other text objects farther and farther apart as I go down the page or they start to overlap. Nav buttons and other images also have to be positioned in the wrong place for them to be in the correct place when the page is opened in FireFox. FireFox should display pages correctly by default. I can't expect th average user to have to tweek his/her settings to display my site.
I have been recommending FireFox on my website as the best browser. I might have to change that and abandon FireFox myself.

Why don't mail show the picture of the sender in the mail I receive

I am using Mail and Address book and I have pictures of my friends and colleagues etc. and therefore the mail program should show me a picture of the sender when I receive e-mail from one of them. It also does normally but when I have two e-mail addresses on the same person it don't show any pictures.

This looks like a bug, and should be reported using OS X Feedback. It also happens if you browse your sent mailbox (well, it does for me, anyway). In the sent mailbox, if the recipient has no picture in my Address Book, no picture appears. If the recipient has a picture and a single email address, my picture appears. If the recipient has a picture and multiple email addresses, sometimes my picture appears and sometimes not. I suspect it is there if the email is to the first-listed address, and not otherwise. It is probably the same for incoming emails.
I don't think there is anything you can do to cure it.

Contact pictures not showing Pre 2

I have had two Pre 2, and neither of them show the contacts' pictures in either the SMS app or Just Type, not only does it look terrible, but I associate certain images with certain people for speed of recognition. I tried Palm support and got the usual battery pull etc, and I have even run the Doctor, to no avail.
Anyone else with this issue, or a solution? All the pictures are perfect in the contacts app.

I have a similar issue on my Pre 2 in that contact pictures do not appear if you copy the contact onto the Launcher. You just get the default 'moon' icon. Same support path as you revealed no answer other than possible hadware fault. Currently being looked at by thetreoguy who took a copy of my log file, but has thus far not come up with an answer.

Hello, my contact picture and my mother-in-law's contact picture does not show in iMessage on our iPhones. The pictures show up on our iPads though. How would we fix this?

This is not a feature on the phone but is on the ipad.

Contact pictures not showing in text-messages section of HUB

I noticed a bug/mistake in the text-messages section in the hub.
When you are writing text message, contact pictures in the top left corner are showing only
for some contacts.
I don't know whats the reason for this.
Does anybody have this issue also - or does anybody know a solution?

Thanks for your feedback, do these contacts have pictures saved in the contacts profile? Or is the contacts picture linked from a social media account for example Twitter or Facebook?

How do I get my contacts pictures to show up on the preview of my inbox? I thought that anyone I had in my inbox would show up next to their name.
