"Show doc panel" on two monitors

Hi,
JDev 11.1.2 offers super behavior "Show doc panel" on "Completion insight" menu.
Unfortunately with two monitors (JDev active on right one)
is display of doc panel ruptured between left and right monitor and in practice useless.
Is there any chance to disabled rupture of "show doc panel" between two monitors?
Or, maybe, forced displaying of "show doc panel" on the right to "Completion insight" menu?
Thanks very much vor help,
Jara

I figured this was assumed, but if not: Yeah, you need an extra display card. If you only have one monitor, you'd need two more of those as well.
I'd say you could get some real cheap-o LCD's for the QT displays as having QT playback on a large screen isn't visually needed --and less pixel pushing equals a faster Mac overall.
I dunno. I think it would work easily enough.

  • Powerpoint full screen/span over two monitors

    Hi,
I have looked around, but I have not been able to find the answer to this question.
I have two monitors where I want powerpoint to display the presentation in full.
As it is now you can only have it display on one monitor (no I don't want or am talking about the presentator view).
But I want it to span over both of them not having to start two powerpoints in windowed and stretching them on each monitor.
    Does anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Do you want to show one presentation crossover two monitor at the same time?
If it is, please try the following steps:
Go to Control Panel>All Control Panel Items>Display>Screen Resolution>Multiple display> Extend these displays
Go to the presentation on the Slide Show tab>Select it to show on the Secondary Monitor >Check on Use Presenter View as shown below.

Have you tried HELP in FINDER?  If you open HELP and enter 'displays' in the field in the upper right hand corner you will get a list of topics on setting up monitors.  Specifically read 'Setting up multiple displays to show the same image' and 'Setting up multiple displays as an extended desktop'.
    Ciao.

    Hi Balaji,
So if you have an extended desktop across two monitors then I would say you had two options.
    1. Within one VI you could simple design the front panel in such a way that it extends across both screens with the relevant information in the right screen.  The fact that there are two monitors present is transparent to the applications.
    2. With two VIs there is a property for front panels to choose which monitor they are displayed on.  This is available by wiring a VI reference to a property node and selecting front panel window >> monitor.  You then enter an id for the monitor you want it to be displayed on, this is a numeric e.g. your primary monitor will be zero. You can see the property node help page here.
I hope this is the information you are after.

  • TX1250ea thinks two monitors are installed

My laptop thinks that in addition to being connected to its own screen, it is also connected to second display (which it is not). The NVIDIA control panel calls this display an HDTV whereas Vista display settings calls it "Generic Non-PnP monitor on NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150". Device Manager shows two monitors - Generic Non-PnP Monitor and Generic PnP Monitor.
When starting up or resuming the computer from sleep the computer gets very confused and starts continuously switching the display between the laptop display, the non-existent display and attempting to display the same screen on both displays. Windows Presentation settings also switches itself on and off during this switching process.
I can sometimes (but not always) stop this from happening by using the NVIDIA Control Panel and telling it to use the Laptop Display only (which is very difficult as the mouse moves back to the centre of the screen on each switch). However, sometimes the computer settles on using the external non-existent display only, with a black screen on the laptop, and sometimes it settles for attempting to display the same image on both screens. In this cases, it sets the resolution to 720x480 in a tiny box in the middle of my laptop display.
I have disabled the non-pnp monitor in device manager, but this hasn't helped.
    Can anyone please help?
    Thanks

Hey Whitestar, This seems to have been posted a long time ago, But I signed in just to answer this question as long as you are still having the problem. But hey if anyone else comes along they'll have this answer.
If you are running windows 7 Here is the fix (I just had this same problem) but you right click your desktop and click the "screen resolution" Option, Click on the second monitor and go to the last setting, (should be the fourth dropdown box) And change it to "Remove this display" and click Apply.
There you have it, one monitor detected.

  • Bridge does not tile thumbnails accross two monitors after restart

After restarting my computer Bridge suddenly quit tiling the images being displayed and only shows one row on the primary content panel.
The only alteration to my system prior to restart was installing DivX. System was restarted after bridge refused to open, and Task Manager did not give any indication of Adobe products running.
Am I missing some obvious setting, and if so do you know why it reset after a restart when it's worked repeatedly for months. I've tried restarting multiple times, I've reset the workspace, and each time I then expand the window accross the two monitors it automatically removes the grid resizes to largest size and maintains the single row even as I adjust for smaller thumbnails.
    Windows 7
    CS6

on one monitor it works as it did before, just not with the second monitor, which it did before.
Did you besides resetting the workspace also try to reset Bridge prefs by restarting Bridge holding down cntrl key and choose reset prefs?
This is the first thing to try whenever bridge start acting other then before all of a sudden.
There can be many things disturbing applications and Bridge is a critical app in this one.

  • How to connect two monitors using macbook pro?

    Hi,
I have a Macbook Pro through which I want to extend the displays to two individual monitors.
The two monitors should show two different windows which is opened through my macbook.
I have observed that macbook has only one mini display port through which I connect to HDMI or to DVI ports in monitor.
So how do I connect another monitor source to my macbook, which ports can help in this situation?
The monitors I have which can supports HDMI,DVI,VGA and DP ports.
Could anyone help me on this issue.
    Thanks.

You can use a USB 2.0/3.0 to HDMI/DVI interface.  You might also consder Thundebolt to HDMI/DVI.
The MBP 13" will support three screens (two external) and the MBP 15" will support four screen (three external).

  • How can i use two monitors in my application?

    Hello,
    Background
I have a dual monitor card and two monitors which I want to use in my LabView application. The application gathers data from a complex sensor and calculates a number of results which need to be displayed graphically, this happens every 10 seconds or so. There is an awful lot of graphs which may be needed to be seen at some time but not routinely. The idea is that one monitor will display all the standard routinely displayed things and will not have any user input whilst the second monitor will display a tab control which has all the other graphs pickable.
    Question
What I want to know is how I can programmatically tell labVIEW to put one vi up in one monitor and another vi in the other. I would then have them both maximised (which I know how to do). I would rather have the monitors set up as individual and that way I could keep the windows control bar on one monitor only. Thus one monitor would be a true user interface and the other simply a display.
Basically how do I tell LabVIEW to use one monitor for a specific vi and not the other.
The card I have is a matrox p650. Any comments would be appreciated.
    Regards
    Kevin

    Hallo,
with new version of LV its more easy, but it also hasn't any troubles with LabVIEW 6.x or 7.x.
Especially with Matrox P650 you will get no any problems (we using
exactly this card together with G550 and our application supported
three monitors at the same time.).
I recommend to you following sequence:
    - After installing driver turn on option for supporting different
resoluton on different monitors. As result you will get two absolutely
    separate monitors.
    - In Windows define which one is primary and which one is secondary.
(On primary monitor located taskbar and all messages dialog boxes will
    appear.).
    - Arrange secondary monitor in display properties - where he located (left from primary, or right)
    - In your VI (which must appear on second monitor) use
FrontPanel.PanelBounds Property Node for positioning. You must set four
values for two corners. Easiest way to found right values is following:
read this property node in while loop and put indicator on front panel.
Then run VI, drag front panel onto second monitor and resize if
necessary, and then you will see right values for PanelBounds. You can
write this property node programmatically in run-time too.
    hope it help,
    good luck.

I had the same problem and it was driving me nuts.  Thanks to conradchavez.com Blog.
Multiple displays: If you put panels (including the Tools panel) on a secondary display and then switch applications, those panels may snap back to the primary display when you switch back. To avoid this, open System Preferences, click Mission Control, and turn off Displays Have Separate Spaces. Mavericks ships with that option on, so if you want to position Adobe application panels and windows on multiple displays you should turn off that option.
You will have to log out before it works.  It worked for me.
    Tankyou very mutch!!!!
    Now is all perfectly funzionally!!!!
    Ri- Tankyou!!!

  • IMac Intel with Parallels, Two Monitors and Screen Spanning

    Hi,
Longtime Mac user forced into using Windows XP for my business. I have an iMac G5 2.1 (iSight) PowerPC. I need two monitors with screen spanning so I'm thinking of getting an iMac Intel, running Bootcamp or Parallels with XP Pro, and using a screen-spanning program.
    1. Can I run Windows XP on the Intel Mac and use screen spanning with a PowerPC iMac?
    2. Is it better to load the screen-spanning software on the XP or Mac system?
    Thanks! Any help appreciated.

    Hi and welcome to Discussions,
if nobody answers your questions it could also be that nobody has tried it yet.
I haven't tried this setup yet, so forgive me for fishing in muddy water.
Windows XP is capable of using two (or depending on the graphics card even more) monitors for duplicating or spanning.
My own two Intel Macs are showing me this opportunity in the preferences.
Since I never had the need to do so I have never attached a second monitor.
The Intel iMacs and MacPros are capable of attacing second monitors however with the iMacs you a adapter which you can get from Apple.
I would suggest (if possible) to go the nearest Apple Store and try to convince the guys there to do such a setup for you to verify that it works.
    Good Luck
    Stefan

  • Run video on two monitors....

I have a 2010 Macbook Pro and I'm preparing a video for an upcoming trade show. Is it possible to show this video on two 20" monitors full screen from my Macbook? If so, how do I do this?
    Thanks for your help.

You have to set the monitors connected to your Mac as "Clones" of the main monitor and not as an "Extension" of it .

  • GL posting clearing item amount and do not show doc status on the header

    Hello,
GL post clearing amount both side and increase the no of items in the GL balance display. Inaddition, these clearing line item document header does not show document status field.  I have another GL which does not post extra two lines and clearing item document is empty and header shows document status as A (cleared item).
Could you let me know what the difference and what need to be changed to make it not to post clearing items + and - and show doc status.
Both are same FSG and only difference tick mark not done for balance in local currency.

Thanks for your reply...but thats did not work. As I said earlier, I have a Structure in my rows and 2 characteristics in my free chracteristics and in my columns I have a selection of key figures...
What I want is when I drill down on one of my 2 free characteristics, I do not want to see rows with amounts (KFs) zero or space.

  • I am trying to set up two monitors on my Pavilion 6330f PC system 7 but doesn't identify DVI

Product name Pavilion 6330f PC System 7
I've tried to connect two monitors but it does not identify the VGA monitor connecte to the DVI port with an adaptor called aDVI-A M to SVGAf Adaptor. When I go to the Control Panel >type in Monitors> click on multiple monitors, it only identifies the VGA connected. How do I use multiple monitors without adding another video card?

    Hi,
The problem could be on the adapter, you need a converter because DVI to VGA is from digital to analog. An adpater alone can't do this work.
    Hope this makes sense.

  • Toolbar button/hotkey for "show cover page in two page view" in Acrobat X?

In Acrobat X, how about make a toolbar button/hotkey for "show cover page in two page view"?  I find toggling this option to be useful for changing up the order of adjacent pages in magazines/books in which a two page spread has to match for a full large picture.  Due to frequent toggling, I would like a button/hotkey for this for easier access.

Hotkeys for existing menu items are not modifiable, but you can add a scripted button which toggles it with the following code:
    if (layout.substr(-5)=="Right") layout = layout.replace("Right","Left");
    else layout = layout.replace("Left","Right");
For info on how to add a button with a folder-level script, see the Acrobat SDK documentation. Scripted buttons will appear in a new panel on the tools pane in Acrobat X, not on the tool bar.

  • Three Monitor Save, Two Monitor Hang- CS6

I have three monitors running from my Dell M6600 at work.  I save a Premiere Project with any panel open on the third monitor. Then take my computer home where I only have two monitors and open the project file, Premiere hangs.  It will never launch the application fully.  It opens to the point where it would normally load project data, and then hangs.
As a workarround I have begun making sure I save the project with all panels on two screens.  However, if I forget then the only solution I have is to go to work to open the project.  (Or get a third monitor at home...)
I would love to be able to edit the project XML and remove or reset the panel layout.  Anyone else experiencing this issue?  or know how to "hack/workaround" the project file?

    Jim Simon wrote:
I don't think that's correct.  Each project loads with the last saved window arrangement, named or not.  So he'll need to rearrange the windows before saving at work (or get that third monitor at home).
I'm just going by the help file:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/workspaces.html
"If a project saved with a custom workspace is opened on another system, the application looks for a workspace with a matching name. If it can’t find a match (or the monitor configuration doesn’t match), it uses the current local workspace."
But like I said, I haven't tested it out myself.
