Show documents aof change

Hi,
is it possible to pop up the document which refer to the last changes of master data, perhaps the vendor. If one changes the account no of a vendor, the documente of the change has to be attached. The change must be confirmed by a collegue. If this collegue opens the master data of the vendor the document should be pop up.

The following is possible:
a) define sensitive fields in the master data which will require approval of second person (otherwise, the vendor will be blocked for payment)
b) view change documents to the master record (all or only sensitive fields)
c) define authorization groups for the changing of the fields
As for showing change documents as pop-ups, this will require development; there is no standard functionality for this.

Hello ,
When you go to item level changes , sap shows the change history for that particular line items .
So it will show all the values which is been changed . In terms of date , the old date is the date at which the line item must have been creaated or changed and the new date is the last change date by the user .
For e.g .if the line item is changed multiple times , then it will show with respect to each date the change history . For better viewing and understanding you can sort the changes by date & find out what was the last change details .

Report to show Vendor Master Change

Hello Experts,
Is there any SAP standard report which can show the new vendor details created and the changes that are made to vendor master data.
I know about S_ALR_87012089. But, it is showing only the changes made to the vendor master with Old and New values. If the new vendor is created it is showing with **Created*** but the actual values are not shown!!!!.
But, i want to see the data instead of that message when new Vendor Master is created. How can we modify the existing one ? or Is there any other standard report which does this ?

This issue occurs with most of the PDFs that I open up. I am using the latest version of adobe reader on my windows based machine and it is a general PDF. I saw a similar post online stating that if you look at the fonts used in the document and it doesn't say (Embedded) next to it, then Adobe Reader will try to pull the font(s) from your computer and if it doesn't find that font then it will replace it which makes it look funny.

Show document in Oracle9i

Hi,
I'm using Oracle9i and I would like to show a document from Oracle Forms.
There is no problem in showing it generally, using web.show_document. But the document is displayed in a new browser window.
And the problem occurs when I try to show the document "inside" the form, I mean in a form window (or in a form field as in Forms 6), not in a separate browser window.
Do you know how to solve the problem?

Jola,
web.show_document() cannot show documents within a form. You could use a JavaBean to stream documents, but I am not aware of a bean that does render OLE documents or other binary formats so it can be used in Forms. The option you should go for is to use the separate browser window.

Problum1 : How to Split the IDocs based on document number change in the source file with out BPM.My file contains document numbers like

I want 3 IDocs in target system.i.e 1 for 20000092,20000092,20000092
2 for 50000050,50000050
3 for 5000006
By using external definations i am getting 6 IDOCs insted of 3.
Problum 2:Is there any chnges/modifications in Directory when we are using external definations.
Could u plz provide me the step by step process(Repository/Directory) with using of external definations.

for this no need of BPM.
You can think of Idoc bundling concept to acheive this-just you need to do the external definition to change the idoc occurence

to achieve for each document no, one idoc, you can write small user defined function in the mapping with context handling you an achieve this.

Email notification when Document status changes in Solution Manager

Hi,
Is there a way to send email notification to certain people if the document status changes in Solution Manager?
For example: A notification email should be send to business user when development is complete.
When development is complete, document is set with status 'Build complete'. As soon as this status is set, we want to notify business user to test the object. Similarly on other document statuses as well.

I never noticed that before. Mine only changes by a few bytes, unless I add a lot to the Word doc. I don't believe you can "lock it in."

Document category changes to credit from returns

hi,
we have changed the document type category from that of the returns to the credit memo request and modified the order related billing type.
When we wanted to move changes to the production, we see that there are 2500 documents lying with some delivery created and some with open orders;
can any one suggest the best way of handling this situation;

Hi,
Changing the document category for a document type when it is in use in production is never recommended. The reason being, when category of the document type changes, there are a lot of effects on the system especially on the VBFA table. The already lying documents may have a problem as you will have created delivries for the same and you many not be able to take it any futher as the document is now order related billing (with new config moving into config) and not delivery related billing.
So, the best way to handle this kind of a situation are
a. Bill all the delivery that are pending in production. In case the situation does not allow, then, try to reverse the delivery and delete it.
b. Complete all the open sales orders in production. Else delete them.
c. After a and b are complete, you can move the document type into Production.
Alll these activities are to be completed on a non working day (preferably Sunday) so that no new documents get created. You can block all the user authoriztion for some time so that you can achieve the results...
However, the word of caution before moving the new config: IF you move the new config, you cannot reverse the old documents any more....

ABAP Query - Not showing the required changes through Z T.Code

I have a ABAP Query for OPEN DELIVERY QUANTITY (T.Code - ZABC). I change something in QUERY and activate. After that i execute it, and saw required changes.
But when i execute it with the T.Code - ZABC, it does not show the changes. Even i Save and Test with the SQ01 t.code.
Please tell me, what is the problem in it. Why not showing the required changes through T.Code - ZABC.

Dear, it seems that you have changed the query in SQ02 and then just save it and not generated.
or may be after generation again clicked on SAVE button.
So untill unless you will not generate the query, it won't work.
Secondly, by chanegs in the query, i don't think it changes the name of the main program.

ChaRM - Authorization Object to show documents in CRM_DNO_MONITOR

Hi folks,
does anyone know which auth. object or other prerequisite is needed to show documents in transaction CRM_DNO_MONITOR?
To our needs the SAP ChaRM default roles do not fit. So I am building roles from scratch (basically).
Auth. trace via ST01 did not show anything relevant when executing tx: CRM_DNO_MONITOR.
Sol Man 7.0, ST400-0017, BBPCRM500-0012
Any help is appreciated.

Hi,
I would still recommend to use SAP Standard roles as backbone and build on with your custom roles. Make a copy of standard roles. Creating from scratch would again have the same auth. objects that are available in standard roles.

Archived Deliver not showing Document FLow _RV_LIKP

I have started archiving for delivery object. I am able to successfully archive one document and can view the document in SARI and the only issue i am having is the when i open the archive document the ICON which shows "DOCUMENT FLOW" is not click able so user is not able to see the document flow to find the Sales Order/STO# it was created from.
In my customization for RV_LIKP under the setting " Archiving Control for Delivery" i have put residence time as "5" and RNO "0"
Also what is the RNO field stands for .

The last line looks important.
Deliveries should be archived before sales documents and billing documents. This sequence is a result of the way the documents are linked via document flow.

When Contract document phase changes to Supplier Draft, I want values of Master Agreement - Publish date, vendor visible, email.
But I am unable to retrieve the same.
I wrote IBean code to get but was not working.
Please help me resolve this issue.

Hi Saloni,
There is nothing different that you should do for this script.
Use the getParentIBean() function on Contract Document to get the parent MA/SA. From there on it is as simple as using the correct getters to fetch the values.
