Hi
I've accidently created an entire short flash animation inside a symbol! I've selected all the frames inside this symbol and copied them into a new animation. When I paste these frames, Flash pastes the animation OUTSIDE the boundaries of the stage. Is there a way to move the entire animation without having to go to every key frame and move it back to the correct location?
When I select all the frames and try to do this it doesn't work and I'm struggling to find anything to help do this.

How do I edit a merged clip in Audition, that was created in premiere to correct the synchronisation, and have it all updated to the premiere clip?
I have tried several tutorials but these either:
- show correction in premiere sequence (which is not practical; given the huge number of files we have)
- or show the editing in audition of a sequence, not the clip.
We have started merging audio and video (removing the original audio during merge) but some of the merged clips are out of sync, so we need to correct manually, BUT we want to correct the merged clip, which may or may not end up being used, so we do not want to take it to the sequence as all we are doing is prepare the synced files for editing.
Any idea how I can correct the synchronisation in Audition?, when I right click on clip and select "Edit in Adobe Audition" I get a list of files but not a multitrack session where I can see my video and audio tracks.

if premiere pro doesn't sync your footage properly, and you have a huge number of files, you may want to look at pluraleyes. there is a demo, and if it works properly, it would save you time to have it done right the first time, instead of tracking down random merged clips with bad sync.
premiere will either export a complete sequence or "edit clip in audition". the edit clip will create a copy of the original audio and open that in audition. there is no dynamic link, its just an audio file open in two programs at the same time. since there is no dynamic link, its not possible to bring merged clips into audition.

this doesn't give me much hope that audition or any other adobe program outside of premiere will help you fix the problem merged clips.

I think what you're looking for is this. Click chart and in the Series tab under Trendlines you select linear and check Show Equation.
Unfortunately you can't move the equation from its initial position the way you could with the old Numbers 2.3.

Eu acredito que o que você tenha hoje seja isso aqui (Desenho bem simplificado):
Hoje o que você tem é o Aplicativo do Medidor + USB Driver controlando o seu medidor. Basicamente, sua aplciação está dividida em três camadas:
Aplicação - Onde estão as funcionalidades principais do programa (interface com o usuário, apresentação de dados, geração de arquivos, etc.)
VISA - Uma arquitetura de Software para controle de instrumentos. Basicamente, ele se comunica com o Driver USB para poder enviar e receber pacotes de dados através do barramento USB.
Device Driver - Intruções de SW de baixo nível para controlar um periférico através de um barramento.
No desenho, eu aponto duas camadas onde você pode tentar atuar para automatizar suas medições:
Aplicação - Você pode usar o VI Server para controlar o Aplicativo do Medidor (Se este aplicativo tiver sido desenvolvido em LabVIEW, o que eu suponho ser verdade). No entanto é necessário saber se o desenvolvedor do produto permitiu isso (Veja Using VI Server to Pass Data Between a VI and a LabVIEW Executable). Outra alternativa é conversar com o fabricante para ver se ele desenvolveu alguma API (Application Programming Interface) para que você consiga controlar o instrumento diretamente.

Importing custom slideshows that are created in iPhoto without lowering the quality to play on AppleTV

Hi,
My wife is a wedding photographer, so for part of her presentation process I create custom slideshows in iPhoto with music and the pictures presented in a certain order and at a certain pace. The slideshows look awesome on the computer. To get them to play on my 1st generation AppleTV, they want me to export the custom slideshow to iTunes at a much lower resolution to where it will play on the AppleTV. There has to be a better way to do this. Right now, by the time they're playable on the AppleTV, the picture quality is noticeably worse than the original presentation.
I called apple and they first suggested selecting the slideshows in the events tab under photos on the AppleTV in iTunes. The pictures look great, but the custom slide show element is gone as it plays them in the order and pace it wants to play them with all background music stripped away. The gentleman transferred me to a 'Senior Advisor', who said the are not allow to assist on content matters. I told him it's not a matter of the content, but the process of creating it in iPhoto (Apple program), lowering the quality and exporting it to iTunes (Apple program), to watch it through AppleTV (Apple product). I got the feeling that was his way of saying he didn't really want to deal with this.
He directed me to this board to see if someone else has experienced this as well or has a solution.
I'm using AppleTV - 1st generation, and iLife '09.
Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

How to trace() a variable nested inside another clip that is created at run time by the user ???

Hi again Now i have another problem
i explain : on my stage i have 24 instance MC Page created at runtime (when cliked the button execute 24 instance MC Page from the library). Each of those MC Page create an xml with infos (not important), this variable_XML created is nested inside each MC Page.. From my stage i want to call each XML from each MC Page for make 1 unic big xml, then send it to the server.
So from the main stage i created a button that call each xml of each MC Page (there is a definit number of Page only 24, no more, no less). So
when the 24 instances of the MC Page are created I push there instance name inside an Array "Page_Array". Now in my function exportxml
i use get ChildByName(Page_array[number]) for find them then i can apply my method to the according MCPage.. Until here no problem, trace(dispObject.name) work. but when i try to get my variable inside the MC Page : trace(dispObject.my_variableXML), it doesnt work...Why ??
here is my function (only 1 page for this example ):

when i export my movies Im so worried to see if it work that i clicked the button that trigger the function exportxml before the actual my_variableXML is created , so is normal that the code above didnt work... so all is normal and it work... sorry i will think 10 time before posting next time. promess .

I spent quite a bit of time creating a web journal that I had planned on updating in the future. After migration the album is now empty and I need to know what the fix is for this?

You can do this with a transform effect, set to reflect, 1 copy.
In the appearance panel select the path and save this as a style which can be applied to new paths as you draw.

Clear chart in subvi from the main vi

Hi all,
im not sure if this has been solved before but my problem is, is there a easier method if i create a subvi containing a waveform chart and i want to clear the data in the chart after each run so that new values from the main vi can be plotted without the previous data plot. I placed the "history data" property node and wired it to an empty array in the subvi but when i ran the program, the graph doesnt plot at all..

How to handle event from subVI in the main VI?

Hello,
I'm doing some measurement. During the measurement I want the user to see some activity dialog - that's easy to do. Before the measurement starts I dynamically run VI (EX_Progress.vi) that shows some activity and then I do the measurement (in my example simulated by random number generation) . After the measurement is done (or error occurs) I can dynamically abort the activity indicator. But on the other hand I want to give to the user chance to abort the measurement manually via the activity dialog by STOP button. There are some ways how to do it via global variable and check every iteration in the main VI it's state but isn't there some better way? Would be nice to run event in the main VI when the user pushes the STOP button in the Progress VI. Is it possible to achieve this using register events? I tried but don't really now how I'm not familiar with this technique.

OK, here's an example using User Events. It doesn't directly have the main VI listen for the Button press event in the subVI. Instead, it has the main VI listen for a custom User Event that the subVI fires every time there's a button press. You could theoretically directly listen to the button press directly from the Main VI, but you would have to somehow get that control's reference to the main VI. That would require storing a copy of it in a global or some such method. This method I will show here is very common and is definitely worth learning.
For more info on User Events, refer to the LabVIEW help. You can learn more by clicking any of the User Event VIs and selecting Help from the shortcut menu.
(I didn't set the subVIs front panel to open automatically, so you'll have to do that yourself to see anything from this demo...)

Stopping a subvi from the main vi with a global variable

Hello,
I want a vi and a subvi to stop simultaneously. Thus, I created a global variable, STOP, which I connected it with the stop of the main vi and also with the conditional terminal of the subvi. However, it doesn’t work. Could somebody explain where am I wrong?

Hi,
You are making 2 mistakes. The first is that you didn't temporize the loops. The second is that when you launch the main VI this straight away launch the subvi that get the control and don't release till something change the value of the global variable, but in that time the main isn't running, so even though you press the stop button the main is in not running mode and doesn't change the variable.
Try this with the VI server to pass trough the control between two VIs.

The way you changed adding bookmarks is not helpful, is there a way to change it back so that all bookmarks are just added to the main list?

Nothing more to be said. Hitting the "star" to add a bookmark just adds it to a separate list, instead of the main bookmark list, and there is no obvious way I can find to turn that off or to move those "Recently Bookmarked" items to the main list. Why did you have to mess around with something that just worked?

If you click the star on the Navigation Toolbar to bookmark the current tab then the new bookmark is created in the Unsorted folder.
The blue highlighted star gets an "Edit this bookmark" tooltip and if you click the star another time then you get the "Edit This Bookmark" dialog and can move the bookmark to another folder.
The list icon next to it (tooltip: Show your bookmarks) is the drop marker of the star button and behaves as the Bookmarks Menu button (that also looked like a star) known from older Firefox versions.
* "Most Visited" and "Recently Bookmarked" and "Recent Tags" are examples of so called [[Smart Bookmarks folders|Smart Bookmarks folders]] and are not real existing folders.
* Smart folders show a list created by a query of the places.sqlite database that stores bookmarks and history in Firefox.
* Smart folder lists show a maximum of 10 entries by default.
* Bookmarks and history items that show up in a smart folder list are stored elsewhere in another folder and any changes made are applied to the real bookmark or history item.

Website help: Creating a side bar then the main part of the webpage??

Hi guys, im currently making a website in dreamweaver but ive coe into some problems and theyve got me stumped...
basically, i have been using dreamweaver and ive managed to create a side bar for my website with separate div tages etc and now i want to create the main body of the page, eg the menu and the images but i cant get it do do what i want it to do...
when i insert the div tag for the main body part of my page it is placed above the side bar when i want it to the side of it, inline with it.... /: its fustrting cust ive been able to style all of the side bar and ive wanted to complete the rest of the site but currently im unable to...

OK, here is how you need to look at your page:
The outermost defined area is the body. Generally, to set up a website, you create basic "applies to all" stuff in the body definitions in your style sheet:
For example:

          padding: 0px;
That's going to create normal paragraph text in the website as Lucidia Sans (or Lucidia Grande if the client doesn't have that defaulting to sans-serif if that is not available), text color is black, background is white, top margin is 20 pixels, clear left and right margins and clear all padding.
Now, you need to enclose the "website" into something that encases everything and I usually call that an outer wrapper.

Now, you set up the rest of your page:

1) Padding is only placed on the top and/or bottom of the divs. The elements within these divs have padding on their sides. This saves you from any "box model math". Keep in mind, if you add any side padding or border to the div itself, it will be added to the width you define to create the *total* width. You may also choose to remove the padding on the element in the div and place a second div within it with no width and the padding necessary for your design.
2) No margin has been given to the columns since they are all floated. If you must add margin, avoid placing it on the side you're floating toward (for example: a right margin on a div set to float right). Many times, padding can be used instead. For divs where this rule must be broken, you should add a "display:inline" declaration to the div's rule to tame a bug where some versions of Internet Explorer double the margin.
3) Since classes can be used multiple times in a document (and an element can also have multiple classes applied), the columns have been assigned class names instead of IDs. For example, two sidebar divs could be stacked if necessary. These can very easily be changed to IDs if that's your preference, as long as you'll only be using them once per document.
4) If you prefer your nav on the right instead of the left, simply float these columns the opposite direction (all right instead of all left) and they'll render in reverse order. There's no need to move the divs around in the HTML source.

Lastly, you want your footer to be below both columns, so you define that:

Now, let's go to the html:
Define your page. Dreamweaver will allow you to define a page as XHTML 1.0 transitional or strict or XHTML 1.1, HTML 4.01 transitional or strict or HTML5. Older versions of Dreamweaver have no HTML5 and may have older versons of HTML, but I either use XHTML 1.0 transitional or HTML5. There are good reasons for this.
Dreamweaver will set up the site definitions depending on what you choose above the <head> area.
Within the <head> area, you define the character set, give a title (make it unique for each page in your website) and point to your style sheet. You can use Dreamweaver's "Attach stylesheet." Any calls to JavaScript go here as well. If you have a separate style sheet for a drop-down menu structure or any other navigation, it will go there as well. Remember to close the <head> tag.
Now, we define the body and go into the page:

How to initialize the variables in the subvi when the main vi running?

Now I am working on a project with labview. I make a main vi including many subvis.
When the main vi running, I want to reinnitialize the variables in the subvi to zero.
I know that I can realize that using the local variable when I enter the subvi,
but I want to keep the the values when I left the subvi and saw them when I
click in this subvi again. So, I do not reinitialize the subvi when it runs. But, I
don not know how to reinitialize the indicators in the subvi when I run the main
VI in the first instance. I try to use the global variables, but it seems do not work
well. Would you like to give me some advice? Thanks a lot!

If I understand your question, try using the "First Call?" node in your Sub-VI - to initialize values the first time the VI executes every time the top-level VI is Run.

Muse / Sub-Navigation: How can I create a sub-navigation under the main navi - BOTH levels in HORIZONTAL direction???

More specific: I want to create a two-level navigation, whit both levels in horizontal direction.
Example:
1st level: Products,
2nd level: Type 1, Type 2, Type 3 etc

enclosed two screenshots. First upper one is showing how I want to do it.
Problem is: It is build completely manually and it does not work. When clicking on References it directs to a blank side and of course the main navi point (References) should be highlighted while I select between the three sub-points.
The second screenshot shows how my structure looks like. Here the masters are including duplicates (therefore they doubled)
