Show hiide Buttons not working in andorid OS and windows mobile OS

Hi,
I made a file in Indesign CS6. This file has a map with dots on it. When a user clicks a dot, an info box pops up giving info about that dot. He clicks the box to make it dissappear and can click another dot for the next info. I achieved this using the hide and show feature of buttons and exported using interactive Pdf. The file works fine on a windows Pc but it does not work on andorid or windows mobile platform. How can I make it work for both?

I assume that you're talking about Show-Hide Fields in an interactive PDF. It's not likely that it will work given the limitations of most PDF readers on mobile devices.
I'm a user of an iPad and iPhone, and haven't worked with Android or Windows devices but I think the issues are the same on all platforms. Some PDF readers are better than others. You didn't say what PDF reader you were testing on.

The best PDF reader for iOS devices is PDF Expert, but I don't believe that exists for Android or Windows devices. I can view interactivity that Adobe Reader doesn't support.

Interactive PDF show/hide button not working properly

I could use some help. I'm creating an interactive pdf using show hide buttons. A button is set to hidden and a second button controls it's visible on mouse enter and mouse exit. Sometimes these buttons which are set to visible turn to invisible in the general/form field propery window and stop working. I've tried replacing the buttons with new ones, but this hasn't helped. Is this a bug or do you think the document is corrupt. This is a large prototype file which has to be shown to a client and rebuilding it is not a welcome thought.
Is there a way to program this using java to create this function? (I'm a Java novice.)

HI PAUL, WE HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. SO, IF YOUR USING INDESIGN CS2 OR 3 WE HAVE FOUND THAT BY MAKING A NEW BUTTON WITH ALL THE ACTIONS YOU WANT IN A NEW DOCUMENT ON THE MASTER PAGE AND THEN COPYING AND PASTING THE NEW BUTTON INTO YOUR ORIGINAL FILE ONTO THE PAGE MASTER THIS USUALLY SOLVES THE PROBLEM.

Show desktop button not working

This is my only problem. I installed gnome and got everything up and running sansthe show desktop button. My windows also look a bit funky (anytime I open something I can't see the my applications, locations, and settings menus uptop).
Whenever I click the show desktop button I get:
Your window manager does not support the show desktop button or you are not running a window manager.

I figured this out, I installed metacity and everything works now.

I recently bought a second hand early 2011 Macbook Pro 15 inch and are having 2 problems. The first is that none of the apps detects my webcam at all, the second is, i have Windows 8 installed on bootcamp but are unable to get the keyboard backlight to work in 7 or 8. The backlight works perfect in os x 10.8.5 though. I need a little bit of help guys.....

Go to Apple Menu / About This Mac. Click on More Info ... next on System Report. In the left hand column, under Hardware, select USB. The right side will show the USB Device Tree. Look through that and check for "Built-in iSight". That is your camera. If it is not listed the camera is not working.
For backlighting, try this: go to System Preferences / Keyboard. Uncheck "Adjust keyboard lighting in low light".

Outlook 2010 - Contacts 'Show' category buttons not working?

I use the Business Card view for Contacts. When I double-click a Contact, Outlook should display that contacts' details. Instead it is displaying an email history from that contact. I have used the 'Activities' button to display activities related to that
contact , but now when I click on the General button to default back to the normal view it doesn't work? In fact, none of the buttons in the 'Show' category work (General, Details, etc.) It seems to be stuck on the 'Activities' button? I tried running a fix
on MS Office by running the fix program from Control Panel, Programs, Change, MS Office, Fix, but it didn't work. Can anyone help me?

First, please try to start Outlook with /cleanviews switch to check if this problem was caused by corrupted view. To do this, press Windows key + R, type
outlook.exe /cleanviews in the Run command box and press Enter.
In addition, we can start Outlook in safe mode to check the result. Type
outlook.exe /safe in the Run box and press Enter. If the issue would be gone in safe mode, we can go to File > Options > Add-ins and disable suspicious add-ins to resolve the problem.

Power button not working in iphone 5 and its been not replaced under warranty and also the replacement programme because lc got triggered

Even if there was a liquid contact with the phone, the phone is elligible bor the programme and the phone is under working condition except the power button which i assume is definitely because of the faulty mechanism of the phone.

Open menu button not working from FF 31 on windows 8.1 x64

FF doesn't seem to be compatible with windows 8.(1) x64, from 31 on.
i installed v31, 32, 33 and 34 and none of those had a working "open menu".
i search allover the net, and did not find a solution.
i deleted all that i could 10 times to no avail.
i am using version 30 and the button works
i am very sorry not being able to use the latest FF version, i think its the best project and the only privacy respecting option in the browser world.

EOS Utility will not work after update - 70D and Windows 8.1

I hope someone can help. I updated my EOS Utility on July 20, 2015, and switched to EOS Utility 2, incl. the updater (an add-on installation on the Canon site). After that, nothing happens when I connect the camera and try to open EOS Utility. I can hear (jingle) that the computer still recognizes the camera. Around that day, my computer also installed a Windows update. I have unistalled EOS and reinstalled it, both with and without the updater. Still nothing happens. Has anyone else had the same issue? On another forum, disabling wifi seemed to work, but I checked that wifi is already disabled (even by enabling and re-disabling it). Any ideas are gratefully accepted. Thank you.

You would be much better off to add an exception for the software you're getting a flase positive on, than to disable AVG. You can do this within AVG by looking for "Exceptions" under the "Advanced Settings" dialog (found in the Options menu). This is not uncommon and it just means there's some byte pattern in your file that is similar to a known virus. If you disable AVG you're opening yourself up to attacks while it's off. By adding an exception AVG will just ignore that file, and since you know it's OK, that's safe.

CS6 is not working anymore on iMac and Windows

I have a cs6 premium web design on my iMac and on my windows system and have two different serial numbers. One for Windows and one for my iMac. Then I had a one-year subscribe to the Creative Cloud, which has now expired. Now I wanted to use the CS6 version, but it is blocked. It indicates that the two numbers are invalid. I can not use CS6 anymore, but the serial numbers are simply valid. I contacted customer service 3 times, but they could not help me even though they all looked at me computer and also took over . The only thing I can think of for this problem is that I need new serial numbers for CS6 premium web design. One for the Imac and one for the windows system.

ITunes 10/Homesharing not working between my Mac and Windows computers

Can see my three libraries but cannot drag and drop between the Mac iTunes and my two Windows iTunes libraries. Windows libraries can drag and drop between each other. Have tried to turn homesharing on and off. Have deauthorirized and authorized again also. Please help.

I'm having similar problems too and have been scouring the net for the past few hours with no luck in finding a solution. Right now on my home network I have 3 machines that have iTunes installed (all the latest version), my MacBook Pro running 10.6.3, my wife's Mac Mini running 10.6.4, and our HTPC running Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit. My MacBook Pro and PC have no problem using Home Sharing but the Mac Mini refuses to co-operate. The only way I can get it to see any other libraries, or for it to share it's own library, is to turn on network sharing. This works, but it isn't as nice as Home Sharing (when Home Sharing works that is :P ) I've followed all the instructions listed on Apple's site to enable Home Sharing on all the machines. Obviously I've done something right as the MBP and PC talk fine. The only thing I can think of is that it has something to do with 10.6.4. If anyone has any suggestions I am certainly open to hearing them.

USB to Parallel Cable Adapter not working with New PC and Windows 8.1

With the demise of parallel ports on PCs, I purchased a USB to Parallel cable adapter several years ago. I used this combination to successfully connect my Apple Laserwriter 16/600PS printer to my HP Pavilion Slimline s7600n PC (running Windows XP, SP3). I've decided to upgrade, I now have an HP Slimline s5-1020 PC running Windows 8.1. However, I cannot get the printer to printer properly. When the print command is executed, the printer spits out page after page of 1-line jibberish at the top of the page. This continues forever until either the paper runs out or I abort the document by opening the paper drawer. Only after full shutdown of both printer and computer and reboot of both will the printer clear itself of the corrupted print instruction.
The printer is also connected to an Apple MacIntosh 7200/120 computer via AppleTalk and it prints fine. Also, I reconnected the printer to my old Slimline s7600n computer and it prints perfectly. I have to assume that either new PC or OS is the source of the problem.
Any and all help/suggestions would be appreciated.

You have to go to the maufacturer site to check is there any Windows 8.1 driver for it. I know many cable/adapter vendors stopped to develope from Windows 7.

This happens only between MVS and other platforms.
I believe it is because of the different character encodings between the two. Can somebody suggest me a solution to this?

When you have DSA-based certificates you may face this type of error "no cipher suites in common".
As by default certificates created with keytool use DSA public keys. To interact with IE or Navigator, you should create certificates that use RSA-based keys. TO do this you need to specify the -leyalg RSA option when using keytool. For example:
keytool -genkey -alias duke -keystore testkeys -keyalg rsa

Have you tried the standard fixes:
- Reset:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore the iPod from backup via iTunes
- Restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod.
If still problem you likely have a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genus Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Try connecting it to another PC, if it is ok, then your PC has some software conflict with iTunes.
If it hangs other PC also, then your iPod Hardisk, maybe bad.
Do the disk diagnosticas posted earlier by tt2, to check the health of your Hardisk.
