Set Bridge to to show first 4 image thumbs on "Folder View". Like in "ACDSee"?

Not as far as I am aware, but here's what you can do:
You can stack images and then, you're going to see one image on top of the stack, like this:
When you move the cursor over the stack, play button will appear and you click on it to play all the images in the stack.
Also, remember that you can make the thumbnail as big as you want using the slider at the bottom of the Bridge interface (a slider).

I have pre uploaded images in a folder in app server. In a page when user clicks on a button i need to show these images in a popup. when user selects any image i need to get the selected image name show it in the base page and close the popup. Need to save the image name in the database. Can you please tell me how to approach?

you can create a List and iterate it. instead of dialog another solution is to use a carousel component

Upon starting Mac shows image of a folder with ? inside, any help appreciated, thanks.

As stated above, when I start Mac it shows a white screen with an image of a folder with a ? inside it.
I have shut it down by holding the power button then pulled the power cord waited 10mins and restarted for the same result.
Any help would be great.

I unfortunately do not have a back up. It is in the hands of the repairer now, fingers crossed they can save my stuff.

Folder view like in Picasa with PSE 8 Organizer

The whole point of the PSE Organizer is to provide you with a better way to organize your photos than using folders. That better way is using PSE structures like tags, captions, notes. So the PSE Organizer has limited ability to display folders; the folder structure you see in PSE is the only way to display folders.

Viewing images in folder view

All of my images appear in the timeline however they don’t show up in the folder view. What up with that?

Click on a folder in the left hand pane. You may need to click on the small plus or minus icons to expand and contract the folder tree.
You can only view one folder at a time in PSE9 or PSE10. Earlier versions let you scroll through the entire folder location view.

Problem With Elements 10 Organizer Showing Wrong Files in Folders (In Folder View)

I just got started using Elements 10 on Windows XP and have had some problems with the Organizer. Once it was installed and had cataloged all my photos, I made sure to only move files and folders to different locations from within Organizer. However, now it seems to have lost track of which photos are in which folder. It will "remember" that there are 3 photos in a folder (in Folder View) and only show three photos in that folder, but they will be 3 random photos from a different location. Opening that item shows that thumbnail and referenced file are the same, so it isn't just a thumbnail problem. And looking in the actual folder with Windows Explorer shows that right photos. I'm not sure if I should run an Optimize or Repair on the catalog or if there is something else I can do to fix the problem. I don't need to use Folder View too often, but sometimes I do and I use it to reorganize the actual locations of files. Not sure what would happen if I did it now (with the obvious catalog confusion).
Any thoughts?

Image size. I have been scanning old 35mm images. Any image greater than about 8100 pixels causes thumbnails to fail - this sounds like being around 2 to the power of 23 but what a really odd combinatin that is.
8100 pixels? All of my photos are larger than that, and I don't have this problem. Do you mean 8100 pixels on a side? There is a known limitation in PSE that photos above a certain pixel size on a side cannot be displayed in the Organizer. I no longer remember what that size is, perhaps someone else can chime in. Scanning your images to be 8100 pixels on a side would be overkill for me; however maybe for you its an important thing to do.
I have about 10,000 photos in the catalog but need to load up about another 5,000 historic images, and we take about 1,500 images per annum.
This is not a problem for PSE.
I have played with databases, so if i can get into the organizer database (at least to do backups), ideally with Access, that would be brilliant. Any suggestions?
If you are going to play with the database through Acess, I think you will fail. I believe that PSE uses SQLite as its database, so you have to use SQLite to view the contents. If you are going to do this, work only on a copy of the database. As this is a long-standing bug in PSE (since at least PSE6), and no one that I know of has found a workaround, and people have reported that the rest of PSE behaves as if the photos are where they are expected to be, my guess is that the bug is in the way PSE displays the photo location in folders. And if that's the case, that the database is correct and its only the display that is incorrect, then there's really nothing you can do to fix that; monkeying around with the database itself won't help.

I agree with you, this is a shame that PSE has this problem and it has gone unfixed since PSE6. Your choices are:
use tags and captions and notes to organize in Thumbnail view, and not use Folder Location View
stop using Organizer, use your operating system to browse your folders, only use the PSE Editor
switch to Lightroom, which has a quality Organizer (called the "Library Module") that doesn't seem to have this particular bug, and in general seems very solid, behaves well and is relatively bug free. (Lightroom 3 currently on sale in the vicinity of $79 (USD) as the anticipation is that Lightroom 4 will be released soon)
switch to other organizing software, there are many, but I make no recommendations as I have tried only PSE and Lightroom

Aperture 2 only showing previews/thumbs (no full screen/no "Viewer Only")

Not sure what's going on, bu Aperture (46k pics on a MBP 3.06) suddenly stopped showing pictures in Viewer/full Screen modes a day ago.
It shows me all the thumbs in Browser mode, but the bigger version of the picture that should be seen in the Viewer Only and Browser and Viewer stays empty the entire time. I see all the meta data in the Viewer window (ISO, version name etc,...) but no big picture. As you might expect, pictures all appear to be present, but, what's going on??

I'm having a similar issue as well! Currently the main viewer has stopped showing images. Full screen seems to be working for the time being, but now I can't use the books feature as I can't see the main viewer!

Im trying to transfer my songs to my itunes. ive tried wit all kinds of softwares and also manually. when i go to my computer and on ipod and select view show hidden files it dont show the ipod control folder. it only shows the dcim

You need a third-party program to get non-iTunes purchased music off the iPod. Which have you tried? Th good ones cost like TouchCopy and PhoneView. Here are some others:

ITunes 10.6.1 update does not show newly imported music in viewer but files are in iTunes media folder, how to correct?

Updated to iTunes 10.6.1.7 today from 10.5 on a Win 7 SP1 64-bit machine and attempted to add new music to the library by both drag-n-drop and import files; this new music does not show up in the library viewer but has been added to the iTunes media folder. Immediately after the install, Windows was rebooted. I also attempted multiple variations of closing and restarting iTunes and/or reboot Windows. iTunes was unresponsive to mp3 files being added. Since I was unable to see the added music files to the library, I did not try to add other files.
Out of frustration, I let iTunes run over night and to my surprise the added music appeared in the library viewer the following morning. I can now add new mp3 (and AAC also) music files to the library and it immediately appears in the viewer. How or why it now works is a total mystery.

Before you connect any device to a new library go to the Devices tab of the the preferences panel via Edit > Preferences (Windows) or iTunes > Preferences (Mac) and ensure the box next to Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically is ticked. You can now safely connect the device to your computer without the danger of media being automatically deleted or overwritten.
To get all your content off your connect your iPad to your new computer.
Then use a 3rd party piece of software to transfer your content

Email shows "No entries in this view" because the Inbox folder is not selected by default

When I go to the Hub and select my corporate email account, the page that opens up shows the top level folder for email instead of my inbox, so all I see is "No entries in this view."
To access my inbox, I need to click on the account at the top of the screen and select my inbox from the list of folders (Inbox, Sent Items, etc). This happens every time I access the Hub. Very frustrating!

Sorry to hear you're having an issue with your email on your BlackBerry 10 device.
Are you using the BlackBerry Z10? If so, go to Settings>Accounts>Category OS and let me know what your software version is.
Do you have more than one email account added? If so, when you go to another email account does this same issue happen with the Inbox not showing?
When you go to filter your corporate email only, what's the name of the folder that shows (since it isn't your Inbox)? Is you work account using ActiveSync or IMAP?

Show image quality as like original image after resize in as3.

I am working on a Action Script3 project and i am showing images after resizing. I am using Bitmap and BitmapData manipulation for this but not getting image quality as like original image. Please guide and help me with code that how can i do this.

How are you resizing? Normally, you would draw the original bitmap data into the new bitmap data, using a matrix to resize. To smooth scale, you need to use the smoothing option of the draw method. Here's a little sample that takes a library image and scales it to 500x500, using smoothing:
var orig:BitmapData = new baseMap(); //library image
var res:BitmapData = new BitmapData(500,500);
var m:Matrix = new Matrix();
m.scale(res.width / orig.width, res.height / orig.height);
res.draw(orig, m, null, null, null, true);

toggle the true to false in the draw, to see the difference...

Organizer folder view doesn't show pictures

All of my pictures on my computer have been imported into Organizer (PSE 9). When I choose the display option of "Folder location," and click on one folder, sometimes the pictures show and sometimes they don't. And some of the pictures show and some don't. Most of the folders show no pictures. Right now I want to edit a picture but I cannot get to it in Organizer because in the folder it's in, only 3 of maybe 20 pictures show and it is not one of them. Many pictures show in Windows(7) Explorer that have never shown in Organizer.

Have you imported the files in Organizer. If not then right click on the desired folder shown on the left hand side in Folder View. Choose the third option which says 'Import to Organizer' to import and view all of the folder's files in Organizer.
If I have understood the problem incorrectly and you have already imported those files to Organizer then try this : Switch to thumbnail view for a while. Search and select the file you want to work on. While the file is still selected in thumbnail view, choose to switch to Folder View to verify if the file is still not shown in Folder View ?

Why do my image previews in cover flow folder view option look terrible?

Recently upgraded to OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard and have noticed that image previews look terrible in the cover flow folder view option - work with image files numbering in the thousands and really need this option to work - dosen't seem to matter how long I give the machine to process the preview and can find no consistency in the file type or format the machine seems to have trouble with

~/Library/Caches. Quit all applications then delete this folder. If a normal delete doesn't work, do a secure delete (Finder > Secure empty trash {this will take longer})
