Show in a Iview all documents of an user of the whole portal

Hello everybody,
I want to show in an Iview all documents of an user of the whole portal, not only the documents under his folder /userhome/Personal Documents
Any ideas?

... and of course I have to add that this can be done with very few programming (but with that - with much more possibilities) by using a redirect "proxy iView", which is described in detail (and is taking just this scenario as one use case among others) on the slides of my TechEd presentation "Implementing Dynamic iView Properties", at least available for TechEd visitors now.
On the other hand, searching for "proxy iView" on SDN will return different results where at least I have described the basic idea.

i followed these steps but im getting same context menu for both KM End User and the KM Administrator .
Assign the role Content Administrator to the user km_admin. This is needed so that km_admin can change

Now, login with user km_admin. Navigate to the Km Folder reports_kmFolder through Content Administration
-> Km Content. Click on Details link of the folder reports_kmFolder.
Go To Settings -> Presentation. Click on the tab u201ESettings for You‟-> Click on button u201ESelect Profile‟.
Select the radio button corresponding to u201Elayout Set‟, and choose u201EConsumerExplorer‟ from the dropdown.
Click u201EOK‟.
Select both the check boxes corresponding to Items Affected as shown above, and click u201ESave‟
Now, remove the u201ESuper Administrator‟ role from the user km_admin and login with this user.
How rto resolve this????

Hello Prasad,
Most likely the user km_admin still has system principal roles assigned, even though you removed the Super Admin role, you should check that this user doesn't have any other admin roles, otherwise it will be considered a System Principal user and will therefore still have access to all content. Try creating a new user with just read access to the content and you should see that it will not be able to make any changes etc.

Shared how? The other users can read the documents or you all can read and write the documents?
The first is easy just place the documents in /Users/Shared anyone can access the files there and the other users will be able to read them.
The second is a bit trickier.

You cannot undo commands. When you delete/remove files with the rm command the files are not put in the trash where they could be recovered. They are gone.
You should have your system backed up with Time machine and/or backup clone of your system. Use them to recover you files.

'An eligible Pages application was not found in the location /Applications'
That's a sign that the iWork applications are no longer in the iWork '08 folder in the Applications folder. The same applies to iWork '06 & iWork '09 installed from the retail DVD or downloaded trial. Iif you're not running the latest versions of the iWork apps installed from a retail box or the downloaded trial & Software Update says your software is up to date, make sure the applications are where the installer initially put them. The updaters are very picky. If the location is not where the updater is programmed to look or if the folder doesn't have the name the updater looks for, it will not work. The applications cannot be renamed or moved. If you installed from the downloaded trial or the retail box, they must be in the iWork ''08 folder in Applications. That iWork folder must be named iWork '08. If it doesn't have the '08 Software Update won't find them & the updaters won't work.

Server does not allow changes to a pages document from one user to the next

When one user creates a pages document and then saves that document to the server, a second user who wishes to use that document and make changes can not do so. They can find the document, open the document, and read it, but can not write to the document.
What is the trick to create a pages document so all network users can make changes to the document?

I hope that the OP will not do that because, as I already wrote several times, it's a perfect way to kill the document.

EXP: Export all tables for one user except the contents of one table

I need to export all tables (> 100 Tables) of an user except the contents of one table. Is there a possibility to call the EXP command and exclude the one table ??

It is not possible to perform it from a client. Is this correct? The datapump task itself can be started from a client, but - you are right - datapump is server-based. Especially that refers to the dumpfile location, which has to be defined as DIRECTORY on the server:

Print ALL document & markups?

I have Acrobat 9 Standard with all updates applies, I also have PDFlyer installed and I am trying to print my document with markups by going to file print and making sure that under comments and forms, I have selected Document & Markups. However when I print it some of the sums do not show up, how can I get them to show?

We are on 5.0.0.41. Do you have the 'show calculator tape in a document when printing' checked in the PDFlyer settings? When you say 'sums' I am assuming you are referring to the calculator tape.

List all documents types in a XML file...

Hi, i want to list all document files that are on the portal and make a XML file with result. I found the Interface Query where i can use "search" method. Is there a way to use the APIs from hyperion, i try to do a servlet and obtain a list of all document type like with NAME, DATE CREATED, TYPE, UUID, DESC, etc.. The list can be order by NAME, DATE, etc... And put the result in a XML file. Is it possible to do this with that Hyperion API, or i spend my time to find the solution with this restricted/limited APIs? And first, is there a documentation for the developpers on what we can do with API's Hyperion? The JavaDoc Hyperion just give a little bit information, nothing consisting!! Cannot print all documents in a Portfolio

Using Acrobat 9.1 for Windows the "All documents in portfolio" option in the print dialog (which online help suggests to use) is simply not present. Any idea why this is?
So I have to keep printing all documents individualy which is a pain obviously.

I am having the same problem using Adobe Acrobat Pro on Windows XP SP3, but none of the suggestions have worked.
No matter what layout I choose, with no files selected, all files selected, or only a few files selected, the only "Print Range" I get in the print dialog box are the standard choices of All; Current view; Current Page (greyed out); and Pages (greyed out). I simply can not get the choices of "All PDF Files" and/or "Selected PDF Files" to appear under the Print Range.
I have tried:
Selecting and saving the various layouts without previews;
Creating brand new portfolios wihin Professional 9.3.3;
Selecting differenct printer drivers; and
Performing a complete uninstall and reinstall and update to 9.3.3.
No matter what I do, I can not get "All PDF Files" and "Selected PDF Files" under the Print Range to appear.
This problem does not appear on other machines opening the same portfolio (opening the same portfolio on other machines I get the "All PDF Files" and "Selected PDF Files" under the Print Range). It only appears to be a problem on my laptop, which is a big problem as it is my only machine.
Any ideas?

How do I install OSX onto a new SSD (in the place of my optical drive) without transferring all data across. However, with the applications, system and library on the SSD to improve the speed, but keep non essential items (the home folder) on the HDD

I have a mid 2009 13 inch unibody 2.53GHz MacBook Pro. I'm finding that it doesn't run as quickly as it used to.
A genius in the Apple store suggested that I replace my optical drive with an SSD, however only use the SSD for OSX, applications, system and library. Keep all documents, pictures, music etc on the current hard drive.
I would be grateful if someone could help me with:
1) installing OSX on the SSD without copying across data from the current hard drive
2) transferring applications, system and library folders across to the SSD so that they still function
3) changing my settings so that OSX reads the home folder from the current hard drive, as well as all the applications' data (documents, music etc...)
However, I would like to run iMovie, with all events etc solely from the SSD to speed up the process of editing movies.
If anyone could help with this, it would be much appreciated.

If you got the data transfer cable with your SSD, the procedure should be pretty simple - and there should be step-by-step instructions in the box. You're simply going to remove the bottom case of your computer (using a Phillips #00 screwdriver), take out the two screws in the bracket holding the hard drive into place (using same screwdriver), remove the drive and (use a Torx 6 screwdriver) remove the four screws that hold the hard drive in place. Then put in the SSD and reassemble the machine.
Then you'll plug up the old hard drive by using the SATA to USB cable and use the option key to boot from the old drive. I don't know what data transfer software Crucial provides, but I would recommend formatting the SSD using Disk Utility from your old drive ("Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" with a single GUID partition) and then use Carbon Copy Cloner to clone your old drive to your new SSD (see this user tip for cloning - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4122). You needn't worry about getting an enclosure since you have the data transfer cable and you don't want to use your old hard drive.
There are a number of videos on YouTube that take you step-by-step through this procedure - many specific to Crucial SSDs and their data transfer kit - do a little searching there if you're unsure of how to procede.

Are all 4 RAM slots USER-UPGRADABLE in 27", 2.8MHz, i7 iMac?

I haven't dug into my iMac yet but am wondering if all 4 RAM slots are user-upgradable... before I fork out the money for more RAM.
Currently I have 8GB (4x2GB). I thought the 8GB would be enough for the graphic designing I do (was managing with my previous 1GB on my other iMac), but quickly found out that I need a lot more. The max is 16GB (4x4GB).
Anyone know if ALL four RAM slots are USER-UPGRADABLE?

Yes, look in your manual and it will show you how that all four slots are user upgradeable. If you want to upgrade to 16 GB you will need 4 x 4 GB chips. Well, I solved the problem and wanted to share with all who face this problem and dont have to debug the SAP standard module again and again to reach this point.
I used the following steps to save the BDS HTML/Text documents to local directory in background mode. Infact this solution works for all document types.
1) Get the Physical class and object id for the Business document, using GET_INFO method of CL_BDS_DOCUMENT_SET
e.g
CALL METHOD cl_bds_document_set=>get_info
EXPORTING
    classname         = 'BUS2091'        "Class name e.g BUS2091 or your custom class
    classtype           = 'BO'                 "Class type
    object_key          = '1000003111'   " object key
IMPORTING
    extended_components = t_comp    " extneded information for the Business dcument
EXCEPTIONS
    nothing_found       = 1
    error_kpro          = 2
    internal_error      = 3
    parameter_error     = 4
    not_authorized      = 5
    not_allowed         = 6
    others              = 7.
The extneded components table returns the Physical class (CLASS) and object id (OBJID) for all the documents stored under that class, classtype and object id.
2) Use function 'SDOK_PHIO_LOAD_CONTENT' to get the binary/ascii content for your file
e.g
        call function 'SDOK_PHIO_LOAD_CONTENT'
          exporting
            object_id           = v_phio_object    " this is of type SDOKOBJECT and
                                                               " has the physical class and objid key
            raw_mode            = 'X'
          tables
            file_content_binary = i_content
          exceptions
            not_existing        = 1
            not_authorized      = 2
            no_content          = 3
            bad_storage_type    = 4
            others              = 5.
In the above case, i have selected raw_mode and the binary content is returned in table I_CONTENT.
3) Step 3 - transfer content to dataset using OPEN DATASET, TRANSFER and CLOSE DATASET
And thats it
