Show InstanceName In different Timeline

I Had a main timeline, timeline2, and timeline3.
In timeline2, I had 2 buttons in frame1 and a Movieclip In Frame2.
In timeline3, I added 1 component, label.
The movieclip will display beside the 2 different button when clicked.
But how do i make the component, label (with the button instance name) appear with the label when button is click

It is not clear what you mean when you use the word "timeline" in describing what you have designed. If you show a screenshot it might help make that clearer. Also, if you show the code you are using that could help as well. If you happen to get error messages with what you are trying to do, then you need to include those as well.

TThose aren't bins. Those are just groupings based on when the content was created or any other selected parameter. Use the action popup in the toolbar tho change the setting.

Close the form so you are looking at the "My Forms" tab, the view that shows you all of your forms. In the "My Forms" tab you can right click on a form and choose "Duplicate" from the context menu or you can select a form and click on the "Duplicate" button in the toolbar above the list of forms.

I still have you in my Buddy list.
Whereas you were showing just plain "Norma" you are now showing "Norma Howe" in Capital Letters.
The only way I know to achieve that at my end is to View any Display Name that was set up or Add those "First Name, Last Name" Details to my address Book and list your Screen Name against them.
IF the AIM Settings Display Name items does not List NORMA HOWE and in fact lists something else the only thing I can think of is another App allows the Display name to be set from there and this is overriding the AIM Setting info.
I fired up an old version of AIM for Mac (version 4.7 from 2005) on my G4 computer running Leopard.
This Identifies Buddies that have entered Display Names (puts them in the Quotes as in "NORMA HOWE")
In the Preferences of this version of AIM for Mac it has a Sign On tab.
This has a box to enter how you show up (i.e. the Display Name) This version hints at adding Capitalisation and Spaces to your Screen Name.
Actually when I tried to change it to anything this version refused to let me.
So I changed my regular Name to "Ralph Johns r"
This however does not change the AIM settings page

This would suggest that if the AIM setting page does not have this info then it is an AIM app somewhere.

My Ipad has been stolen...I've purchase a new one and when trying to restore a previous back up, the system showed me a different Apple ID. Can it be the ID of the one who has my Ipad ?

I've purchase a new one and when trying to restore a backup from I cloud the Ipad showed me a different Apple ID than mine and refused my Apple ID.
Can it be this ID (which is an email adress) is the email of the one having my stolen IPAD ?

The appleid its showing you is associated with one of the apps / songs or another purchase that was on the device the last time it was backed up which it needs to download the app / purchase again. It won't be from the person who has your ipad now unless they downloaded it and then your device was backed up afterwords, so only if the backup date was listed as AFTER your device was lost / stolen.

MMS messages I send showing received from different phone number

Very strange behavior. I sent an MMS (video taken previously with my iPhone 3GS and stored in my library)to two different iphone users (one message, two recipients)and on their phone it showed a completely different "from phone number" This happened at least three times. Sending the same message a fourth time displayed my correct phone number on the recipients phone. AT&T said it myst be a problem with Apple or my phone, they connected me to Apple. Apple said it can only be a problem with AT&T..... Go figure!

This same thing has happened to me, except I was on the receiving end. I was in the middle of an MMS discussion with a person who I regularly text with. Suddenly, a video MMS from the same person showed up from an unrecognized number - a number neither of us knows. Subsequent MMS messages showed up as having come from the correct number. Has anyone determined any causes and/or solutions to this? Thanks!

IDVD show starting at different places.

I created a slideshow in iPhoto with audio tracks and imported the show into iDVD. I then used a iDVD theme as an intro to my slideshow. When I play the burned DVD, my show starts at different points--sometimes at the intro and then other times at the 1st or 2nd slide. What am I doing wrong? I need help right away as I am trying to get this done for a show in 24 hours. Thanks in advance.

How to automatically "show" not "allow" on timeline?

I want it to be in that little header section (lives, studied- that little box) with the spotify logo that says I listened to yadda yadda. Automatically! It only shows up like that if you change it to "show on timeline" not "allow," correct? So how can I make this automatic? It appears I have to individually change the setting for each different song and that is just ridiculous! I'm sure there's another way!!!
And with the shown on timeline option, it won't post in the newsfees correct? I don't want to bombard everyone's newsfees with what I'm listening to, just want it to be available on the page.

For Music:
Settings > Music > turn off Show All Music
For Videos:
Settings > Videos > turn off Show All Videos

My iPod touch won't show up in iTunes, but charges and shows up on different computers.

My iPod touch 5th gen last was synced with my iMac a couple weeks ago. Now when I plug it into iTunes, it won't show up. It's done this before and I've fixed it by updating iTunes, restarting the iPod/computer etc, but it seems I've tried everything. I've connected it to different USB ports, and it charges in all of them but doesn't show up. When I plug it in, Dropbox recognizes it and can get the pictures off, but iTunes won't work. I tried connecting the iPod to a different computer, and it showed up in iTunes just fine. I have the latest version of iTunes. I didn't restore my iPod from the other computer because if I can't get it to re-sync with this computer I'd rather not lose all my data. It seems I need to reinstall iTunes, but I don't know how- will it delete all my music that I already have on there?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I had this issue, I fixed it by going to:
Start > Control Panel > Devices and Printers
Then find the iPod, and Right Click > Properties > Hardware > Properties > Driver > Update Driver > Update Automatically
The driver had not been automatically installed, and windows found and installed the driver files for me. Took ~90 seconds, and then the iPod began it's sync process almost immediately after. Hope this helps anyone with the same issue! I'd try this before re-installing iTunes.

Photos show in a different order/sequence when viewed on my Centro than on my desktop???

Hello, I know this may sound trivial but it is driving me nuts! My photos show up in a different sequence when I view them on my handheld (Centro smartphone) than they do on my Palm Desktop Media platform. I cannot figure out why they do not match up. I have HotSync-ed a million times. I sorted all of my photos via the desktop media software so that they are in chronological order. Then I HotSync and view the albums on my phone (Centro) and none of them are in the order they are supposed to be in. (If this helps at all... All of the photos are stored on my microSDHD card, not directly on my phone's memory - too many for that.) Any ideas why the HotSync is not correlating them to the order they are in on my desktop? Am I going to have to manually sort them on my phone also, even though I already did this on the desktop software?? Please tell me there is an easier way - I have LOTS of pictures. LOL! 12:13am *** OH NO!! I am totally going to cry right now. I was trying to get the stupid thing to sync correctly. So, I deleted the picture albums off my phone. I left them on my desktop, since they were organized as they should be. I did a hotsync and it erased the photos from the desktop and didn't put them on my phone. So, basically I lost a million pictures. I double checked my settings and everything is set to "syncronize" - SO WOULDN'T THAT MEAN IT WOULD SYNCRONIZE BOTH???? Not let the phone override the desktop?? I am beyond upset. If anyone can lend some help I cannot tell you how grateful I would be. :*(

Hi.. Syncronize means that hotsync looks at both palm desktop and the device and looks for any changes and moves those changes to the opposite side to make them identical. Thus it saw you deleted all pics on the device and sees it as you no longer need any of the pictures which were deleted thus it makes the palm desktop match the device by deleting them. If you had set the media conduits to desktop over writes handheld it would have done what you wanted. Hope you can find them..

Why don't my event show up in different colors like i hear they would

when i watched the video of ipad 2, it showed that the events were in diferent colors to help distinguish them, but on my ipad it is all purple

I believe that if you are only using the calendar dirently on the iPad then you will only get the one colour. If you sync your calendar from, for example, iCal on a Mac, then you can get different coloured categories from there. But if are not syncing from anywhere then I think that you will only get the one colour. I sync my iPad's Calendar with my Mac's iCal so I get the different coloured categories from there on my iPad.

Show report in different currency depending on user parameter

i'm trying to show my report in different currency, depending on users given parameter.
i hold my account balance in USD based. User should select one parameter, in which currency they want to see their account balance. (e.g. EURO, GBP ...) and depending on their selection, i want to convert USD based info into chosen currency, by fetching field from currency table and making some calculation.
also i want to include in report currency($, Â£ ...) accordingly ().
how can i achieve this, has somebody any suggestion to me?

i have 3 tables account, times and currency.
- times table has time_key, date, day_of_week fields.
- account table has - account_balance and time_key_FK fields.
- currency table has currency_type, amount, time_key_FK fields.
1. i have function decode(:Currency,'USD',account_balance,'EURO',--here i want to replace my calculation CALC1---)
CALC1- this calculation need to some calculation like this: account_balance * (fetched field from this sql)(select amount from currency, account where currency.currency_type='EURO' and account.time_key_FK=currency.time_key_FK)
i tried to do this, but discoverer plus doesn't let me make condition and calc. i'm very confused.
2. after i achieve this query, somehow i want to display on worksheet on which currency is it based. can i get parameter value, and show this value as in column heading?

Show image in different window

Dear All,
as mentioned in this thread (initialize dialog with img) there is bug in Acrobat XI to show an image in a dialog box crated using JS. Are there other possibilities to show the image in a different window (pop-up, create a new pdf and show in new window etc.)?
The image (legend for the map) is already imported in document on the second page, but it has to be shown to the same time when I am looking at the first page(map) in order to avoid scrolling down and up.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I open the legend using this function ( this.exportDataObject({cName:"legend.pdf", nLaunch: 2}) ) and put it before //</ACRO_script>, otherwise it is deleted automatically after closing.
Is it possible to hide UI on document level? Because this function (app.hideMenuItem();) is not allowed cause of security prevention(even using trusted function:( var hideMenu = app.trustedFunction(function() { app.beginPriv(); app.hideMenuItem(); app.endPriv(); });
And how can I hide remaining buttons and panels right and left? Could not find in documentation .

Help with Datatip Not showing on 2 different charts at the same time

What's up guys? I am building a massive application and came across an issue. I was able to create a smaller flex application that recreate the problem. Basically its about the datatip. Let's say you have a Main application with tab navigation that calls 2 different modules: Module A, and Module B. Module A has a piechart with datatip enabled. Module B has a linechart with datatip also enabled. For some reason the piechart datatip are showing while the linechart datatip are not showing on mouse over (only on click). Any idea what's going on or how to fix it so that both charts show their datatip on mouse over? -Thank you
