Show "Level" field on report painter

Dear SAP Gurus
On report painter for PS, I want to show "Level" field (PRPS-STUFE)
as selection field. But, it seems "Level" is not in the selection.
Pls let me know if you know the solution.

I have to add new fields in report painter(std one) which is not in any library and so I am not able to add the fields in characteristics. Though I have added zfields in CCR1S but I am not able to add these fileds in characteristics in report painter(say - CJe3 t-code)

hi,
first i copied the report 12KST1G in my Y12KST1G with form. In CJE2 when i Click this report then in the whatever fields coming in the characteristics we can put it in 'variables' tab and these will be the fields which is displayed on the selecton screen. So after doing the wbove changes in the exit , I am not able to get the fields in characteristics vale so that I can put it in variable. or do we have to do some chnages in the screen for this z report which is like std. one.
FYI..The display of the fields was done in z-report with library but this is like a report without library and we did some chnages in the exit.

Adding field in Report Painter

Hello Gurus,
I am working in the Report Painter PR20-001.
My requirement is to add a new column in the output of the report but even when i am able to add a new field and save it on the reports execution i am unable to view the added field in the output.
Kindly tell me the entire procedure to add a new field in the output of the respective report painter output.

Hi,
Go to Global Parameters Definitaion in report painter, variable will be used only along with the field, just in global paramerters enter your desired field and click in next column, system will show you a pop up select your variable for that field...
now its just done run the report and test it!
If you still not make it refer to standard report of such kind, you will surely get it....

Planned values of profit centers not showing up in customised report painte

Hi,
I made a customised profit center report via report painter. I have already uploaded planned values in KP06. In the customised report painter, the record type is "1" (plan) and version is "0" for actual/plan. The columns for the planned values do not show any figures. But when I generate std SAP report S_ALR_87013340 - Profit Center Group: Plan/Actual/Variance, it shows the plan values. In that way, I know that the cost center upload is correct.
Please advise on how to show the plan values on the report painter.

ahhh...the fact that you can see the actual values has made me realize what the problem might be. GLPCP and GLPCA (actual line items) use different fields in regard to the period. I assume that you are utilizing the POPER characteristic to select the periods....correct?
In that case please try the following: copy library 8A3 into the customer name space (I would always base customized reports on your own library). In your copy activate the RPMAX characteristic. The re-create your report based on the new library and make the following changes: use RPMAX in the general selection and only use POPER in the column definition for the actual values. That should work.

In general data selection, i have already cost center, but it is not apprearing at selection screen. Only three field are appearing (Year + Period + Forecast), and i want to add cost center at the selection screen. How to make cost center field at selection field from General data selection option. Please guide me

Custom fields in Report painter in CCSS table

Hello Experts,
I am in a processes of developing a report painter with custom fields in the selection screen.
The custom fields are available in PRPS table.
With hard difficulties I brought the custom fields in selection screen of the report painter.
I have added the fields in the structure CI_CC1S
Everything is fine. But if I enter a value in the custom field, the report is not fetching any data.
These custom fields are related to the WBS element.
For example if the value of the CUSTOM field is 'AAA', then I want to retrieve ony the WBS element which has 'AAA'.
Somewhere I am missing a procedure.
Could anyone suggest how to achieve this.

Remove fields from report painter

Hi,
I try to create a z transaction code for my report which was built using the report painter tool. I got additional fields like read mode, print report and rebuild frozen report data on the selection screen. How can I remove these fields to make the selection screen identical to the one when executing in report painter tool? Please help!

Hi,
You can change the transaction type:
Goto SE93 --> Click Change --> In menu bar click on Edit --> Change Transaction type --> Select program and selection screen (Report Transaction) radio button and Save.
Also make sure that you have selected all the GUI support check box.
Activate the transaction and execute.

User level settengs for Report Painter GR55

HI All,
When user is trying to extract a cost center report from Report Painter GR55. User is not getting the values for few line items for last FI year (2010) and he is able to see the values for current year (2011).
Tried with parameters, authorizations and settings with other user (able to see the report) who is having same roles authorizations.
Please suggest if there are any user level setting related to above.

Maximum size to reference text fields in report painter

I have created a library for report painter but reference text fields were not transfered because of their size exceed 24 character long. is there some SAP procedure to extend this size at the moment we are creating the library? Thanks in advance for support me.

Firstable I created a structure evaluation using SAP TC MCS7 and took the own customized table that was set up for SPL porpuses. this table contains several fields including text fields and now we would like to take them for set up several report painter but I noticed that this kind of fields are not available when I created the library using GR21 also when I tried to create the set using GS01 appeared a error "this field is bigger than 24 characters" or something like that.

Object Indicator field in Report painter

we are looking for some field details in RWCOOM table like object indicator. There is object indicator field name in CCSS table. We want to ignore planned cost of service orders from the project planned cost as there is already planing of cost at project level. The same cost element is used for cost planning in Project builder and service order
Please provide us some option where we can restrict planned cost of the
orders other than network to show in project reports.

GL Account summary in Report Painter

Hi Gurus
I have a question around Report painter report. We have such reports where the Profit center is based on the PC group set-up in the PCA Master records. The result is that we can analyze our report painter reports by clicking on a heirarchy and view the output for specific PC only. We want to do the same thing for our GL accounts. For example say 10 GL accounts belong to level 1 and 5 belong to level 2. When we clisk level 1 in Report painter report, the output should be only for 10 accounts.
The issue is that I don't see any place to create GL structure like we have for PC. Can someone please help me if it possible to create suc Account summary nodes?

As advised, I created 4 basic sets with set of GL accounts in them. Each of these sets is using table FAGLFLEXT and field being used is RACCT for Account number. Then I tried to create Multiset that will contain these Basic sets. System requires me to enter RACCT field but when I try to save, I cannot. I get this error that field RACCT is used in several Set lines.

Diagnosis
You have tried to enter sub-sets for the same table field in several set lines in a multi-set. However, the sub-sets of a multi-set must each belong to different fields ("dimensions").
System Response
The system informs you that the field cannot be used twice.
Procedure
You must correct this double usage of the field before storing the set

Add fields to reporting table/structure CCSS

My customer has defined some new fields (Z......) for WBS reporting in table PRPS. They would like to use these fields in report painter reports, but we have not managed to make them available in the library used (6P3). In order to make that happen they must show in the reporting table/structure used (CCSS) I guess? According to SAP there's no "easy way" of doing this, but obviously it should be possible.
Can somebody give ma an idea how this can be done?

Eventually we manage to get the customer defined field to show up as a characteristic in the relevant library. The reason we struggled with this was the defined length of the field. SAP does not accept a characteristic with a defined field length of more than 24 characters (we had 30). We ended up redefining the length of the field directly in include CI_CC1Z.

Report Painter - ERP Financials - Question on Value Variable useage

I want to use a value variable that works in Report Writer (table GLPCT, field MSL [quantity] but cannot select MSL as a variable field in Report Painter to insert the same variable (it is not a selectable characteristic) using the same Library and Table.
Is there a way to make the field selectable in Report Painter in order to select a value variable that uses the field MSL ? It is a valid field in the Library that I am building the report in.
In building the columns, I can select characteristic fields such as:
Ledger
Record Type
Version
Fiscal Year
Profit Center
Functional Area
Account number
Period
etc
but not MSL Quantity. Is there configuration to make this (or any field) accessible to Report Painter ?

Quantity is a key figure. When you create the column values you would get this from the key figure drop list.

Need to add Purchase Order field in Standard report in report painter

Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement to add an extra field in Cost center:Act/Plan/Comm CC Cur report.This is otherwise a Z report in report painter with 0% code (T-code : GR55-> Report group->Report).But,when we go to technical information of this report,it has four standard sap programs,which contains code for this selection screen.It does not even have a modification scope.
Selection screen of this report contains following parameters:
Selection values:
Controlling Ar
Fiscal Year
From Period
To Period
Plan Version
Selection Groups:
Cost Center Group
Or value(s)
Cost Element Group
Or value(s)
My requirement is to add one more parameter : Purchase oeder in new block:
Is there any way to achieve it.
Note: Copying the standard progs into custom prog is not working,i already tried that.
Please let me know your suggestions,if any one of you came across such requirement before.it is very impoertant for me.

You can find enhancement in me28 by following steps and then apply your logic in include of this enhancement.
cmod>Give a project name>in enhancement column give the package name ME >f4>in package write ME-->ENTER>It will show you all enhancements available in me28> find which ever suits your requirement>save > click on components> from there you can make changes in include program.to add that particular field.
