Show loading icon when video freezes

Hi all
I inserted a video into my movie clip. It freezes sometimes if internet connection is not fast enough but freezes at any frame. I want a loading icon displayed once it stops and disappear when it continues.
Thank you

try:
yourloadingicon.visible=false;
var fps:Number=stage.frameRate
var startTime:Number=getTimer();
this.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME,f);
function f(e:Event){
if(getTimer()-startTime>=1000){
yourloadingicon.visible=true
} else {
yourloadingicon.visible=false;
startTime=getTimer();

    Hi,
    Check the iChat Menu > Preferences > Video Section > Bandwidth setting.
    iChat needs to see a Minimum of 128kbps to do 1-1 chats in Video
    For 3 and 4 way chats it needs 384kbps
    Set the Bandwidth to 500kbps if it is set lower.
    Also check the speed you are getting from your Internet supplier.

  • Show Loading icon during long PPR request?

    Hi,
    I have a 11g taskflow that loads a bpel tasklist which can take some time to load when the user has a lot of tasks. The pagefragment shows the tasks based on a view object. The view object is filled by calling the bpel api over soap which can take some time (did not get the rmi client to work with weblogic). When the view object is filled the UI shows the fetching data text but during loading the view object the UI stays on the calling page and to the user it looks like the application is not doing anything when he clicked the show tasklist page menu item while in fact the page is still loading. Is there a way to show a status/loading icon/component when PPR is loading the pagefragment that contains the task list? The fact that loading takes some time is not an issue but now the user has now idea if there is actually happening something. Showing the loading icon that is rendered at application startup during waiting would be great .....
    Kind Regards,
    Andre

    Hi,
    try af:progressIndicator
    " The progressIndicator component can be used to give users an indication that there is a back end task in progress. A ProgressIndicator's state is tracked by the org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.model.BoundedRangeModel attached to this component through its 'value' attribute. The BoundedRangeModel provides a 'value' and a 'maximum' to the component. If either the 'value' or the 'maximum are negative numbers, the progressIndicator is in an indeterminate state and shows up as a spinner animation. If the 'value' is not negative (and the 'maximum' is negative), the progressIndicator is in a finished indeterminate state and shows up as a stopped spinner. When the 'value' and 'maximum' are non-negative values, the component switches to a determinate mode and renders a progress bar indicating percentage of task completion ('value' / 'maximum'). Each of these various states will show a hover description for that state Once the task is complete, if an 'action' has been assigned to the progressIndicator, then an ActionEvent is triggered.
    The progressIndicator component can be used with a poll component from the page as a partial trigger, in order that it be updated at regular intervals in PPR mode as determined by the pollInterval from the poll component. "
    <af:progressIndicator id="progId" value="#{boundedRangeModel}" />
    value: The data model being used by this progress component. The model should be of type org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.model.BoundedRangeModel.

  • Af:statusIndicator does not show busy icon when a command button is click

    Hi Guys,
    af:statusIndicator does not show busy icon or motion when a command button is click
    I am working on an excel data upload functionality on .jspx page. I use “af:inputFile” file uploader to upload an excel file then process the data and store it as a list of objects in memory and display it in “af:table” table
    I added “af:statusIndicator” to the page to show the user that the page is progressing while the data is uploading and when it is saving the data to the database.
    In this case, when the “af:inputFile” is clicked to upload the excel file - the status indicator shows a progress icon (movement) which is expected and is good. However, after the data have been display in the table when I click on a command button that saves the data to the database – I expected the status indicator to start its busy motion but that is not happening. Whereas, the command button grayed out and is disable when I clicked the button until the operation is completed.
    Is there any way to start the statusIndicator when a command button is clicked?
    I tried the following options
    *<af:statusIndicator id="si1_uploadStatus" partialTriggers="pc1:cb1 pc1:table"/>*
    Where pc1:cb1 is the command button and pc1:table is the table
    *<af:commandButton text="Submit Uploads" id="cb1"*
    *disabled="#{!viewScope.batchUploadController.allSavable}"*
    *partialTriggers="::infFilePath"*
    *action="#{viewScope.batchUploadController.saveUploadedData}"*
    *blocking="true"/>*
    Thanks,

    Can somebody please address this?
    Thanks,

    Hello guys
    I am experiencing a very annoying issue. Turns out that the folders, when put on dock, won't show the icons that are not mac-standard (like .mkv movies, .rar, etc.).
    Here's a screenshot:
    http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t273/rique333/Screenshot2011-05-21at104346PM. jpg
    Hope you guys know how to fix it.

    I'm not sure if Exchange account settings are made available for transfer to an iPhone via the iTunes sync process.
    Have you tried manually creating your Exchange account on your iPhone using the Exchange account preset?
    If you plan on syncing contact info and calendar events over the air with your Exchange account on your iPhone, all existing contact info and calendar events on your iPhone will be erased and replaced with your online contact info and calendar events at the Exchange server.
    With an Exchange account, you can sync contact info and calendar events direct with Outlook 2003 or 2004 via the iTunes sync process, or you can sync contact info and calendar events over the air. You can do one or the other, not both at the same time.

  • IMac shows global icon when it starts.

    Dear All,
    My iMac suddenly started shows a black & white global icon when it switch on. The icon flashes for almost a minute, and start up page finally appears and OS X enter, everything works alright, but the icon worries me.
    Is that because I made wrong setting?
    Please help. Thanks.
    Alice

    Hi Alice,
    It's not a problem. What you have done is set Network Startup as your startup volume within System Preferences. Do the following:
    1. Fire up System Preferences
    2. Select the Startup Disk icon
    3. Within the Startup Disk preferences select your internal hd (it will be a blue folder marked Mac OS X, 10.4.9 on Macintosh HD or something along those lines).
    That's it. All should be well again.

  • Ipod Nano 4th or 5th generation won't recognize Itunes and shows loading constantly when I am on Nike plus

    My Ipod Nano all of a sudden won't show up on my Imac computer nor will it show up in Itunes.  I use it for running and I use the Nike + software, at the same time the recognition problem occurred when I click on the Nike + on my Ipod Nano it shows the circle and says "Loading".
    Also when I plug it in to the computer it says Connected do not unplug unless you eject, however there is no icon on my Imac to eject.
    Even when I reboot the Ipod Nano, the same thing happens...the Nike + just says loading and it doesn't get recognized by my Imac.
    Help what do I do????? I have tried rebooting several times, as well as using another mac and no luck. I even sent an email to Apple but so far no answer.  Any clue how to fix this?
    I think it has something to do with the Nike+ application, but don't know what to do.

  • JTree shows expansion icon when node hasn't got children

    When first displayed, my JTree shows the expansion icon next to non-leaf nodes that do not have children.
    If I click on one of the expansion icon it disappears.
    How can I stop it displaying this in the first place.
    i.e. only display it when the node does have children.
    Thanks.

    I've had a look at the source code to see why this is happening
    javax.swing.plaf.basic.BasicTreeUI.paintExpandControl( ... )
    seems to be the source of this effect.
    It seems that in deciding whether to display expansion icons or not, it ignores whether or not a node has children up until the node is expanded for the first time.
    Surely it should consider whether there are children or not from the beginning.
    Is this a bug or is there reasoning behind this? If so what? Is there any workaround.

  • Link not showing hand icon when mouse over

    I am creating an image gallery and have thumbnails that open
    in a separate window to a larger version of the image.
    The links are working, but when you put the mouse over the
    image the little hand does not appear to show it is a link, if you
    click it works and the image opens, but the hand does not show,
    what have I done wrong.

    This implies that you have applied the behavior directly to
    the <img> tag,
    when you should have applied it to an anchor tag surrounding
    the <img> tag,
    e.g.,
    this - <a href="javascript:;"
    onclick="whatever"><img src="whatever"...></a>
    rather than this - <img onclick="whatever"
    src="whatever"...>
    You can get this by manually creating it, or by selecting the
    image,
    removing the behavior, then entering "javascript:;" (without
    the quotes) in
    the Link field of the Property inspector. This will wrap the
    <img> tag with
    the anchor. Now select the <a> on the Tag selector, and
    apply your
    behavior.
    As you can see, familiarity with HTML (and CSS) will come in
    quite handy
    when working with DW.

  • Mail shows "offline" icons when online

    I just installed snow leopard and my macmail is now acting very quirky. (10.6.7)
    The "offline" icons appear even when the accounts send and receive mail and the mailboxes "greys out".
    In addition, I get constant requests for passwords in mail (very annoying).
    I have tried different "fixes" mentioned in these forums but all to no avail.
    I'm sure its a glitch in macmail but I sure hope it gets fixed soon!

    Internet is up and running; all is connected.
    Now I'm also getting emails into one mailbox from another of my mailboxes (different domains too!)

  • Video freezes for a few seconds multiple times but audio continues ok

    Flash freezes for a second or three; audio continues ok.
    Happens usually a few seconds in, every 8 seconds or so for maybe 3 times and
    intermittent after that (sometimes runs fine the rest of the way). Have Vista64
    IE9 - Chrome and FF doesn't freeze only IE. Disabled hardware acceleration (to
    software). Nvidia 440 drivers up to date. Flash up to date: Object
    13.0.0.214  ActiveX control: 12.0.9.149
    (shouldn't that be same as object?). Not a buffer problem as it loads up
    usually at a good clip ahead of playing video. Local storage buffer set at 10MB
    (tried higher and lower settings no joy). Would having 4 HD audio drivers
    installed have anything to do with this problem? (noticed in device manager). Previous
    versions back a few months were doing this too so decided to go on this forum. Thanks.
    Hope I didn't miss anything.

    OK as of today (June 27, 2014) I've had 93 views with no response. I did find a very long thread pertaining to this subject (Flash player stutters for 1 second then continues normally) so I'll tack on to end of that thread with the hopes that something can be done with this annoying stuttering. I want to post my DX Diag text but first update above: It's IE version 9. When video freezes it appears to "catch up" with audio running with no hitch (the whole thing takes a second or two and might happen a few times in a minute video - it ALWAYS happens with a second or two in the beginning though). I even reinstalled IE9 going all the way back to IE7 to make sure I got "fresh" files installed as possible - still same problem after that. With that said below is my DX Diag text. If someone (especially an Adobe person) has any suggestions of where else I can post to get someone talking to me I would appreciate it.

    There was an OS X 10.7 update released a month or so ago that fixed this problem.  Run software update.

  • Removed working Firefox 7, Installed Firefox 10.0, Firefox will not load. When I click on icon, firefox.exe process shows briefly in task manager, then goes away....no errors, nothing

    Removed working Firefox 7, Installed Firefox 10.0, Firefox will not load. When I click on icon, firefox.exe process shows briefly in task manager, then goes away....no errors, nothing. Never see browser panel at all. Also tried to install Firefox 9.0, but the same result was observed.

    Rather difficult to say what the problem may be at present but for general info please have a look at
    * [[safe mode]]
    *[[firefox will not start]]
    *[[firefox hangs]]
    Note sometimes you may have to wait a while for firefox to shutdown completly, and if it has hung then as explained in the above articles you may need to kill any firefox.exe process that is still running (and maybe plugincontainer.exe)
    Try starting firefox in [[safe mode]] e.g. by holding down shift key
    * do not make any changes in the first window, just click on continue<br/> ? Do you get as far as seeing the options window for safe mode ?
    If firefox is crashing see [[firefox crashes]], this is easier to work through if you can get firefox to start without crashing on startup. Currently some firefox users are finding Firefox 10 crashes on startup, and a new version Firefox 10.0.1 is being released very soon to deal with this and another cause of hangs.
    Not saying any of this applies to your case but recent issues include
    * ask tool bar causing hangs if video is used none English versions [/forums/contributors/708073]
    * possibly some crashes do not start the crash reporter and other issues [/forums/contributors/708122?page=2#post-45059]
    * some general info about current crashes [/questions/917748#answer-308124]
