'Show Movies in Cloud' setting not saving

Hi,
As above, frequently when I log into iTunes, or even when I've been continuously logged in, the box which designates in-the-cloud purchases to be shown is un-ticked. It's not a major problem, but I still don't know why it's happening and what this could mean in the grander scale of things with regards to my account.
Thanks.

Select one of them and choose Show in Finder from the File menu.

  • How do I delete TV shows/movies from cloud?

I have run out of cloud storage, even after buying the maximum allowable storage from iTunes. My cloud is cluttered with old iTunes purchases that I am never going to use again, e.g., TV shows, movies, apps. Now when I want to sync an episode of a TV show to my iPad 3, 64 GB, I cannot because it says that I don't have enough storage.
    I am very frustrated.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
    Mary

Purchased iCloud content does not count against your storage quota.  Only device, email, and app data does. The message you are receiving indicates your local iPad storage if full, you will need to delete items (apps, music, video/movies) from your iPad.

not saving my desktop setting. I have the "automatically save session on logout" check.
I am using xfce4 as my DM

  • Configuration setting not saved

    hi,
When i receive configuration setting for web beowsing on my mobile from my service provider.I get a message " trusted server setting received but not saved.message could not be authenticated and deleted."So i am unable to browse the web. Please help me .

You seem to have deleted the settings message from your service provider. Contact them and ask them to send it again. This time after you receive it you need to save it and it should auto install. Also sometimes there is a password to save it. If there is, the service provider usually sends you a separate message with with it.

  • Volume setting not saved

    Hello,
My volume settings are not saved when I power-cycle or reset my iMac. I have tried resetting the PRAM, with no effect. In another thread, someone asked me whether my PRAM battery might be getting old; the answer is, probably not, this computer was new as of this January.
One thing that's a little different from my other/previous Macs is that I have a Solid-State Disk (SSD) as startup disk and a standard Hard Drive (HD) for data storage. As recommended by various threads on the subject, to optimize performance while minimizing wear on the SSD, the /Users/xxx directory is on the SSD, but various sub-directories (Desktop, Documents, Downloads, ...) are on the HD. I've noticed that this leads to various odd perturbations (e.g. icons in the Finder sidebar only update when I click on them, can't launch a Parallels virtual machine by double-clicking its icon, ...), but I really don't see how it would be related to my volume settings.
    Here's the machine configuration:
    iMac (iMac11,3) 27" / 2.93 GHz Intel Core i7 / 16 GB RAM / 251 GB SSD / 2 TB HD
    Mac OS X 10.6.8 (10K540)
    Boot ROM version: IM112.0057.B00
Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks for the suggestion. The Library folder is on the SSD, and I don't think the Public folder really has anything to do with this. But I did try moving the Desktop folder back to the SSD; the only thing that changed is that the Desktop icon in the Finder window sidebar is drawn correctly. The volume setting behavior is not changed.
I noticed something else, though: when I increase the volume and restart, the reboot chime is louder. This implies that my volume setting is correctly saved to PRAM, but then something else - during the start-up - cranks it back down. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to track this sort of thing?

  • Double-Click Setting not saved

Help! On my brand-new MBP 13" the double-click speed is not saved with "Keyboard & Mouse" preferences.
Everytime I log in the double-click speed rate is set to "slow" and as a result many mouse-clicks are considered as "double" without intended to be. After correcting the setting everything works fine ... until the next log-out / log-in.
I already trashed the preference file without success.
Any suggestions? This behaviour is really annoying ...

  • SQL Server Configuration Manager (2012 SP1): "IP All" Setting Not Saving

I have 4 SQL Server 2012 SP1 clusters, and under Network Configuration ->
TCP/IP -> Protocol (tab), I am able to switch
Listen All from Yes to No. However, when I hit
OK (or Apply), I get the message:
Any changes made will be saved; however they will not take effect until the service is stopped and restarted.
    OK, fine.
Now, if I re-open the TCP/IP properties, Listen All is back to
    Yes.
This happens even after I restart the SQL Server service, and it happens on all 4 instances.
I have checked the version of Configuration Manager - 2011.0110.2100.060. I've compared this with a (non clustered) SQL Server 2012 where I can flip the
IP All field at whim, the versions are the same (as are the SQL Server versions,
    11.0.3000.0 Build 7601).
I've also ensured that under IP Addresses, the one that I want to use has
Enabled = Yes, all other IPs have Enabled = No.
Neither BOL nor Google have any useful information for me.
Has anyone seen this before? Bug or WAD (and I'm doing something wrong)?

    Hi,
    Per
Case 4: SQL Server is installed in a clustered environment:
On cluster, you cannot configure SQL Server to listen on a specific IP addresses. You must chose IPALL. The IP addresses on which the cluster instance will be listening on is determined by cluster resources (configurable through Cluster Administrator,
by adding IP Address resources under SQL Network Name resource).
    Here is a workaround:

  • Vector feather setting not saving

I'm finding that the vector mask feather setting isn't saving, and returns to a hard edge when reopening the files.
I haven't had time to explore this, except that the file is being saved as Max-Compatiple.
should the vector feather settting be saved or is this a temporary setting for creating pixel masks only?
is it a bug or not a bug ( and therefore I need to read the manual )

seems like the message was dropped from the post, here it is.....

  • Show Keyboard & Character Viewers setting not working

I like to have access to the Keyboard and Character Viewers in the menu bar; however, the setting on my new MacBook does not work. I have checked the "Show Keyboard & Character Viewers in menu bar" many times and it unchecks itself as soon as I leave the Keyboard tab of the Keyboard setttings in System Preferences.
Could a preference file be corrupted? (I migrated data from my old MacBook (OS 10.7) to my new MacBook (10.9). Perhaps this has something to do with the problem?)
Or, is there a command line way to show the preference that might stick better than the checkbox in the System Preferences?
    Any insights would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    -Robert.

However, it is odd that the Keyboard & Character Views option is not greyed out in the Keyboard tab when the Input Sources menu is not enabled.
Indeed, the way Apple has done this in Mavericks seems both odd and cumbersome.   I think it would be worth telling them so at

  • Printing pre sets not saving

I save photo printing pre sets according to the kind of paper I'm printing on. I use an Epson 2200. I change the print settings and color management and do "save as" Enhanced Matte or Watercolor. When I go to print again Enhanced Matte and Watercolor are still there but the print settings and the color managment settings aren't saved.

My first time posting something, so I do need to say that I find this forum an invaluable resource, and has always been very helpful.
Thank you so much for responding to my dilemma. The shortcut sets do show up in the Preferences and don't disappear once the shortcut key stops working. What is odd is that my Shortcut Set is still there, but my shortcut commands are gone, so I probably should have stated "shortcut command", instead of "set".
Also, there is somewhat of a mystery going on here, for me, anyhow. I thought I would try one more time before updating to 7.0.4, and for some unknown reason everything is working as it should. I didn't restart or shut down before I left for the evening. So I'm unsure of what was going on.
But thanks again for your responses.

  • Hide Repeated Key Values Setting Not Saved

    Hi Experts,
We are working on BI7. Currently we are changing the Query Properties to display Repeated Key Values. However, whenever we execute the reports, all repeated key values are still hidden. When we return to BEx Designer, the setting is reverted back. Please advise on why this is happening. I am pretty sure we have saved then execute the query.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Juice

Its some problem with Bex I guess.
Go to RSRT, give your query name and do "Generate report".
Execute it in RSRT and check if its fine.
If its fine in RSRT it should reflect in your analyzer too.
    Hope this helps.

  • Versions Set not saving in Organizer 9

Using Organizer and PSE 9 on a Mac, about 13,000 photos in single catalog.
Had been using Versions Sets with no problem, but now the edited image is not being added to the version set.  It works okay if I do the edit in Organizer - the edited version saves in version set.  But if I go out to PSE for edits and save edited version, a version set is not created.  Using Save command in PSE and the "Save as Version Set with Original" box is checked.  Have  closed Organizer and reopened, also ran the repair catalog in Organizer, but no change.
    Thanks,

Same issue here. Some files it works, some not. I cannot find any elements that would be causing this. I thought the file name could be too long, or contain special characters, but I have been able to make it work in some cases.
I'm not sure forums are monitored so I guess we're just out waiting for an update that would miraculously correct this...
In the mean time, when you do edit within an album, the edited files gets added to the catalog but not to the album, which is left with just the original. Very unuseful...
In the hope that someone will find a solution to this.

  • Norton Privacy Setting not saved

My Firefox 8.0 privacy settings are not working. I am using Norton Internet Security 2012 V19.2.0.10. I have tried deleting pref.js with no success I have also set Norton to allow Firefox in Program control. Still no success.

    Hi Mate,
The last I heard, Norton isn't compatible with the new version of Firefox. I'm also a Norton user and disappointed with this, but it's not something Firefox can help us with. We have to go to the Norton site and ask them to make the program compatible with the new Firefox version. I'm going to do this, but I suggest others do this, too so they can take this seriously.

  • Strange color setting not saving correct color

I am completely baffled why this is happening. I make a simple photoshop document with the color #OF457C and do a 'save for web' and save it as a jpeg at 100%. I then open it back up from my desktop and the color has darkened and changed the hex value to #10447D. Its darker and not the correct color for my background.
Try it for yourself. Is it a color profile thing? I am using CS4 but have noticed this happening on CS3 on another computer. Does the 'save for web' pick an alternative color? I've never seen a color shift like this before.

I believe save for web uses sRGB, so if you are working in sometihng else, the conversion could cause a color shift.
