Show one picture of a presentation - then back to menu. How?
I provide an autoindex-menu of all pictures of a presentation. The activation of the respective little menu-picture is to indicate the picture and jump after 6 seconds back to the autoindex-menu.
The respective picture is also indicated, but after the 6 seconds the announcement changes on the next in each case picture of the presentation. This is then played up to the end. Only then again the autoindex menu appears.
How can I achieve my goal?

On the menu are all pictures like a thumbnail. Each "thumbnail" links on the original picture and show it. After some seconds the view should change back to the "Thumbnail"-menu, the user can select another picture and so on. Only one picture of the presentation and then back to the menu. I hope you understand me.

Keynote on iPad goes to black screen then back to menu
I'm using a brand new iPad that has no other apps on it except for Keynote (and the default ones). I launch Keynote, it goes to a black screen for a few seconds then back to the iPad menu. I checked the App Store, and it said that it does not need updating.
Your battery is dead.
Leave the device to charge 2-3 hours, and then, still connected to the USB cable, remove the the battery from the device a few seconds and reinsert it. If it boots--leave it to charge to 100% (check Options > Status for the percentage).
If it doesn't boot--try using a wall outlet charger if you are not. If you are connected via USB to the PC, make certain that you have Desktop Manager (or the USB device drivers) installed, which you can download below.

Problem printing more than one picture in Elements 12
I am running Photoshop Elements 12 on a MAC Powerbook Pro with OSX 10.9.1. I can only print our one picture at a time, then have to close Element 12 and restart to print another one. What is wrong?
Select all the photos you want to print in the photo bin before going to File>Print.

[solved] Google Earth does not show embedded pictures
I'm using the Google Earth AUR package.
When I click on the little blue squares in the satellite view, only a big white placeholder window for the picture is shown, but no picture is embedded. Only a small question mark is shown in the middle of a the rather large white window, clicking on it brings me to Firefox, showing the picture in Panoramio. Please help me! How can I enable the embedded pictures?

I want to play music from my playlist when I am using slideshow of my pictures in Ipad, but I can only choose ONE SINGLE song, and it continuously repeates itself. Is there a way to play the complete playlist while showing my pictures?
You can start the playlist playing in the iPod app and then switch into the Photos app and start your (non-music) slideshow - as you've found out you can currently only select a single track in the Photos app. Whether that will change in iOS 5 I don't know, but you could try leaving feedback for Apple : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

In FCP X How do I capture tape-based media (hdv clips)- which I want to import-to my external hard drive? There is only one firewire 800 port on the back of my I mac. The FCPX manual says to import tape footage directly into final cut, which works, but then I lose my external hard drive Do I have to import it into an event, then copy it over to an external hard drive? On Larry Jordan's tutorial, he has 3 external hard drives that show up on his monitor WHILE he imports his tape based media. How is that done? I can only get either the camera to appear OR my external hard drive. thanks for your help.

Embed pdf in website, show one page at a time, with forward and back controls?

Not sure if this is possible (or if this is the right place to ask), but I need to take a multiple page pdf, embed it in a website so its on the left half of the screen, have it only show one page at a time, and have the forward and back page controls.
Is this possible, and if so, could someone point me in the right direction?Typically you would save it to a JPeg and post those on the web site. Expecting a PDF to show up depends on the client computer configuration and browser. This is too risky, unless you don't mind getting nasty little notes that it does not work. If you do it with JPegs, then all the browsers I know of can handle it. Then simply put the PDF separately for those who prefer to download the PDF and look at it separately.

In updating my iPod to 6.1.2, I received an error during the update. Now, my ipod is not rebooting. It continues to display a screen showing usb to Itunes picture. Turning off and back on, it goes back to this picture. I don't know how to reset so that I can restore from my backup.
A similar thing happened when I updated the ios on my ipad. But, I was able to reboot, and then restore from backup. How can I get my ipod to reboot and allow restore when it is not even recognized as I reconnect to my computer?Try:

When iPhone is connected to PC, it shows in itunes but Autoplay does not open for me to copy photos. I tried the Control Panel, changing Autoplay settings but no use. I use a Windows Vista. Please help! All my little ones' pictures are on my iPhone 3GS.
I tried hard reset on my iPhone. I tried restarting laptop and iPhone. I tried a different laptop. I tried removing driver and reinstalling from Device Manager but did not find a driver other than "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver" under "Universal Serial Bus controllers" which I heard shouldn't be uninstalled.
Anything I haven't tried?

Are you seeing your music listed in the iPod screen, or in Win explorer as in your earlier post?
I can see all the songs in my Edrive>al's Ipod> Ipod Control> Music folder.
A corrupted iPod database, will report zero music used, and have your music size reported as others, so you wont see the music in the iPod screen. Sorry, I thought there was some hope for you with iPodAccess, in recovery of the corrupted iPod database with your ratings.
You can try to borrow and use the Mac Disk Utility ->First Aid ->Repair.
Of course, if your iPod Hardisk is in a bad state, from the Disk Diagnostic report, then all my suggestion are futile. -
lMy ipad would not respond after leaving it for a brief minute.....screen was black, so I plugged it into power source thinking battery needed charging, when I did this, a picture of a plug, plugging into an itunes icon (circle) and nothing else happened. I pushed button to turn off power, then back on.....at this poing an apple icon came up, went away and the plug showed up again. Anyone know what I need to do to restart ipad?

one fine day yesterday, my i phone just hangup lost all contact detail. The screen only show a picture depicting cable connection to iTune. I have tried to restore iphone to factory setting but not working . May i know how to proceed to recover lost contacts.
I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

I am using IDVD to create slide shows. When viewed on my computer, the pictures are clear and of high quality. When I burn the slide show to a disk and play it back, the pictures are blury and of poor quality. Is there a setting that controls the quality of the burn and if there is, where do I find it? The Mac software - iPhoto, iMovie, and iDVD are not the best with the Ken Burns effect (zoom in/out effect), so you might want to minimize that effect; also, if your subjects are wearing stripes for instance, that will have an effect if you zoom. There is better software available for slideshows; however, I do not know of any that is free (and does a good job). I've used Photo to Movie for some time; it does a fine job even in HD, but you have to pay for it. I use iDVD extensively, but only to add a menu, theme, special effects, etc. and then to burn it.
