'Show Query Conditions' in Charts Portlet

Is it possible to display 'Query' conditions in the 'Run as Portlet' option in a Chart?
If not, is there a workaround to display the conditions?

My problem
My LOV has following select:
Select ename, empno from emp;
I want to Show only Ename in the LOV and display Ename on the form too. but I want to store only empno and nothing to do with ename.empno is a hidden column.
Can anybody please help me. Can you please reply to [email protected] also.

e.g. key figure "Net value" GT 0 to become only positive values in the query result.
In the Query runtime the condition works successful, but in the Design Sudio view the defined Query condition doesn´t work.
In my Design Studio crosstab I have tried to switch between the display setting "Conditional formating Visible" true/false, but without success.

Hi Michael,
I think you are mixing up two different BEx terms. Conditions are filters on key figures (show me only the results with a value bigger than 50). Exceptions do not filter the result set, but provide a formatting based on the values in the result set (if value is bigger than 50, make its cell red).
The Conditional formatting setting in Design Studio refers to the BEx exceptions. For the BEx conditions there isn't such a setting available. You just have to activate the condition in your BEx Query and use that for your data source in Design Studio.
If you want a workaround to enable/disable conditions from Design Studio, check this blog I wrote: HackingSAP.com - SAP Design Studio and Conditions It shows how you can use variables to adjust the conditions (and also activate) from within Design Studio.

New portal preview, how to keep an altered query in a chart on the home screen?

This one has been driving me nuts, here is the situation.... I pin a chart to the "Home" screen from the DefaulfServerFarm hosting plan for CPU, nice hero size, yeah! I then clone it and then adjust the query to show memory
on one of them. Then I adjust the timeline in the queries for week on both to get an aggregate view of days, all good. As soon as I refresh the portal...!?!?!...both charts are sitting at CPU current day, log out/in same behavior. Probably
something silly I'm doing/not doing, anyone have any thoughts or ideas on how to keep chart views in place? Thanks in advance!

Here is an example of what I would like to pin to the start, so that every time the preview portal is opened, the last week's memory and cpu is viewed. You can do this by adjusting the query on the chart, however the experience is that
if you logout and log back into the portal you will see only the settings from the chart you copied, and not the updated queries. Hope that makes sense. Maybe there is a better way to accomplish this. Thanks!

Action links show link conditionally using simple filter

When I set up an interaction with action link, every thing works fine. But when I try to use the 'show link conditionally' using a simple condition, I get an error such as:
"State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. [nQSError: 43119] Query Failed: [nQSError: 16001] ODBC error state: 37000 code: 8180 message: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Statement(s) could not be prepared.. Is there a way to show the 'real' Query conditions in a report instead of return value of LOV.
Example of my LOV:
'select distinct decode(np.vl,1,'400 kV ',

'Muu kv ') | | np.name | |' '| | np.specifier, bsnet_id from elnet_dw.r_pylvaat2 r, elnet_dw.net_parts np

So I don't want to display bsnet_id to users.
Now in a report's Query conditions, there are five ID-number. ID-numbers don't tell anyting to users.

Conditional display HTML Portlet

Hi all, how can I conditionally display HTML portlet? I have a couple of html portlets on the page, but I want to use the page para to control the display of them. For Java/plsql portlets, it's fine. I don't know how to do that for html portlets. Any advice or suggestion is appreciated.

we want to embed the part of html in to portlet at run time. portlet has a single navigation parameter defined (for run time)
so for example, i write a jsr portlet and then I drag the portlet from resource catalog (composer) on to the webcenter page during run time. and then we would pass
www.xyz.com/index.html as a value of navigation parameter to the portlet. and portlet would consume this index.html.
problem is what is the attribute within portlet which would get binded and finally consume the index.html at run time ? is it
src = .......... ???
is it file = ......... ??
is it url = ........... ??
what is it ?
we are not using UCM so entire Content Presenter taskflows is useless for us
if it is say src = ... attribute, then we were not able to PASS the index.html TO src attribute as Navig Param at run time.
remember, even if we able to pass index.html to portlet .............. then we do not want portlet to show index.html URL but rather would want to show the content of index.html (which is "Hello There, Greetings from the server") to show.

Error 500--Internal Server Error in a Project Gantt Chart portlet

Hi All
I am getting Error 500--Internal Server Error in a Project Gantt Chart portlet of Corporate Dashboard.
We have recently installed the Primavera EPPM 8.1, here are the steps we followed to setup the Primavera EPPM 8.1
1) We have created the database schemas by using automatic database setup(by clicking on dbsetup.bat on the media files)
2) Installed Weblogic server 11gR1(10.3.4)
3)Created web logic domain as admin server
4) Installed P6 Web access and deployed on weblogic domain
5)Made changes to setEnvDomain file of weblogic domain to increase the Java Heap size and to locate the location of p6.war file
6)Reastred the weblogic domain
Now we can access the Primavera but in one of the portlet we are getting Error 500--Internal Server Error.
Please le me know if I miss any thing while installing or should I modify P6 configuration settings through p6 admin confiuration console.
Also it would be greatful if any one provide me th best practice to setup Primavera EPPM 8.1.

Show/Hide conditional text at a book level

I am using TCS2 on Windows XP.
FM 9.0 p250
I have several files as part of a large FM book. Each file has the same text conditional tags. Can I, at a book level, set my conditions to show/hide, etc. and then update the book? So far, I only know how to open each file, set the SHOW/HIDE CONDITIONAL TEXT as I need it (not to show conditiona indicators and according to my built expression) and then save and close each file.
Is there a way to do all my files at once? Note- I want them all set the same way... so that might make it easier..

I don't have FrameMaker available right now, so I'm working from memory, using the traditional FrameMaker menus, rather than the FM 9 tools.
Select all the files in the book window. With the book window active, open the View menu and look for Conditional Text. Your settings here apply to all selected files in the book window, so it's possible to set conditions on all or some files files. Ctrl+Click to select non-contiguous files; Shift+Click to select a range of contiguous files.

Problem to get ResultSet when it is used a Date type in the query condition

I having a bit of nightmare getting a ResultSet how result of one simple Query for a table when the condition WHERE involve a Date type.
To change the String value in a date to use in the query condition, I tried both:
String strDate = "dd/mm/yyyy";
(1.) java.sql.Date sqlDate = new java.sql.Date(strDate.getTime() )
(2.) SimpleDateFormat formatter = new SimpleDateFormat(strDate) ; sqlDate = formatter.parse(strDate);
and finally I use this code to get the ResultSet:
sql = "SELECT * FROM myTable Where (idCli = " + cd_Cli + " And dateReg = " + sqlDate + ")";
statement = connection.createStatement(ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_SENSITIVE, ResultSet.CONCUR_READ_ONLY);
resultSet = statement.executeQuery(sql);
boolean ok = resultSet.last();
totNumberOfRegistration = resultSet.getRow();
But In both the cases I get a empty resultSet.
I shoul like if someone would look my code to say me where it is the mistake...

P.S. I tryed using PrepareStatement too to get the ResultSet, but in that case I couldn't use the ResultSet because executing the statement resultSet.last() I get the error: "Result set type is TYPE_FORWARD_ONLY"

In a database like Oracle, you need to use a function like TO_DATE; other databases may have something similar.
However, the proper way to do this is to use a PreparedStatement. Then you can say
PreparedStatement ps = conn.prepareStatement("update SOMETABLE set SOME_DATE=? where SOME_ID=?");
ps.setDate(1, new java.sql.Date(someJavaUtilDate.getTime()));
ps.setInt(2, theId);
ps.executeUpdate();

How to define the query condition of Image Theme in MapBuilder?

I'm trying to add an dynamic Image Theme in OracleMap, but there's a problem.I defined the query condition of Image Theme like this:
select scanimage,shap from image where scanimgid=467
The shap column is the MBR column
And the XML CODE:

<styling_rules theme_type="image" image_column="SCANIMAGE" image_format="JPEG" image_unit="M" image_resolution="1.0">

When i preview this Image Theme ,there is an ORA-00936 error means lack of expression.
Is there any problem with my definition?Or can query an image from an Image Theme?

Hi Mars,
predefined image theme definition does not support a "select" statement in the <features> tag. You should just define a query condition in the <features> tag.
It seems that you are trying to use an image theme in Oracle Maps, but it currently does not support a FOI image theme. You should add a predefined image theme as part of the basemap, and maybe add scales values to set the visibility range of this image theme.

SQL Developer v2.1.0.6 Build MAIN-63.73 doesn't show query results for "select * from all_scheduler_jobs;" when I click on "Run Statement" icon at toolbar but when I click on "Run Script" the results appear.
Is this a bug?
In prior version this worked.

How we can query the following conditions using ak query.
there is 2 variable say A and B if A&B is present then condition must be where A=value of A and B=value of B this condition works when given qo0 and qo1 value as IN but other condition when A or B is null I am not able to retrieve anything.Please help me when any of the value is null wht is the query to be and condition to be.

Your approach is valid. You can put a complete query in the query condition box. Mapviewer is smart enough to tell whether it's a complete query or a where clause condition.

Query Rules - length limitation on query conditions set via powershell

My current client has 200 custom keywords in SP 2010 which they would like to migrate to SP 2013 query results. I have powershell scripts to perform the export from SP 2010 and import into one of three SP 2013 environments.
One limitation I have found in powershell -- that does not happen in the search service application UI! -- is a 100 character length limit on the keywords used for matching query conditions (synonym data in SP 2010). The keywords can be set through
the UI without limitation but are limited to 100 characters when using powershell! It makes no sense!
I suppose my final update could be done by hand (ugh!) and I would much rather be able to script these updates.
Any pointers or help?

Syntax for calling a form & passing a query condition

I have a stored PL/SQL procedure where I am attempting to link to a master detail form from a button created in the procedure. The procedure is called from a form based on a table.
I want to pass an id from the first form to the second when the user clicks the button and have that id bring up the master record in the calling form (query condition to be automatically executed).
I am using the Portal technical FAQ 10.10 as a reference. However, I must be off in the syntax. Here's what I have:
objectId - contains id from calling form
OBJECT_ID - column name in called MD form

Frame 8 crashes when showing all conditional text

When I try to Show ALL conditions in my Frame 8 file, Frame crashes. I just recently installed CS4 on my system, but other than that, nothing has changed. I have had no problems with conditional text and this file before. Wondering if anyone has had this issue and knows a workaround or fix. Thanks, sandra

I don't use conditional text at all, but several folks around here do and will be along to offer some help.
Can you identify whether this crash is a result of adding a new condition recently? Had showing all conditions had previously worked?
