Mohsin

hi,
From your post it appears that the length of the variables are same.
BETTER GO WITH UNDER OPTION WITH WRITE STATEMENT
CHECK THE EXTRACT BELLOW FROM sap help
... UNDER g
Effect
Output of the field f begins at the column from which the field g was output. If this happens in the same output line, the output of the field g is overwritten.
Note
After UNDER, the field g must be written exactly as the reference field in the previous WRITE statement, i.e. with an offset and length if necessary. The exception to this rule is if g is a text symbol. In this case, the reference field is determined by the number of the text symbol (not by the text stored there).
Example
Align output to the reference fields:
FIELD-SYMBOLS <FNAME>.
ASSIGN 'First Name' TO <FNAME>.
WRITE: /3 'Name'(001), 15 <FNAME>, 30 'RoomNo', 40 'Age'(002).
WRITE: / 'Peterson' UNDER 'Name'(001),
'Ron' UNDER <FNAME>,
'5.1' UNDER 'RoomNo',
(5) 24 UNDER TEXT-002.

• AR Invoice Print Layout

The client I am busy at has a certain requirement which I tought I got right on their print layout.
They work with both the AR Inv and the AR Down Payment Inv.
The requirement is as follows. If a client has done any down payments, they want his downpayment details to show in the final AR inv. This part i got right, but this only works if the AR down payment inv was done as an item invoice. it it was done as a service down payment inv, they can apply it to the final AR invoice, but I cannot seem to get the details to show on the print layout. Which fields must i use?
Please help.

Hi Satish,
I have a similar problem and I would like to know more about the solution you proposed, that is to say, the use of the transaction notification to update a UDF.
I only know how to use them to check data and block a transaction and I that would be a great help for me to get to know it.
Thanks in advance,

• Is there a way to automatically display a Word document in Print Layout view?

I am using Report Generation Toolkit (v.1.0.1). After displaying the report, the view in Microsoft Word is always "Normal." It would be really nice to automatically show it in "Print Layout" view. (i.e. in Word, go to View >> Print Layout) Is there a way to do this programmatically through the vi? I'm using LV 7.1 and Windows 2000. Thanks,

Hey dj143
The best way to do something like that is with property nodes. You can do this the easy, by going into word and recording a macro. Then look at the macro and duplicate it using property nodes.here is a vi that I did for you that answer your question

• Why do graphics and colors that appear on the monitor show up as blank spaces when printed out

Graphics (especially color) on emails and attachments show up as BLANK spaces when printed out.
Also, some color graphics and detail work of those graphics on familiar websites do not show up on my monitor
Both of these situations DO NOT occur on Explorer. With that browser - everything is OK

it may have worked, but gimping my system isn't exactly a solution, more of a band-aid.
its the equivalent of the old

What do you mean "it may have worked" – did it or did it not?
Anyway it is not a remedy but diagnostics and if it makes a difference it points at the GPU driver as a likely culprit.

• New customized report using PLD or QUERY PRINT LAYOUT to show customers onl

I am working with a Software Developing firm as an SAP Consultant.
Please tell me how to create a new customized report displaying various details as required by the client in the report using PLD or Query Print Layout.
Please help me asap.

Hi,
You can create queries using the Query Generator or the Query Wizard tools.
After you have created your own queries, you can link them to a required print layout.
for user reports.Look at:
Tools --> Queries --> Query Print Layout
Set there your query reports.
Printing User-Defined Queries
After you had linked a user-defined query to a user report template, you can now print it
according to its linked print layout.
There are two ways for printing your user-defined queries.
1. Using the Query Print Layout window:
• Select from the upper menu Tools 􀃆 Queries 􀃆 Query Print Layout.
• Click the Reports tab page.
• Click to highlight the required query you would like to print.
• Click on the printer icon or select from the upper menu File 􀃆 Print.
• The user-defined query is printed according to its linked print layout.
2. Using the Queries Manager window:
• Click the Queries Manager icon on the upper tool bar.
• Click to highlight the required query you would like to print.
• Click on the printer icon or select from the upper menu File 􀃆 Print.
• The user-defined query is printed according to its linked print layout.
Note! You can also print preview user-defined queries. Do so by selecting the Print
Preview option as described in the methods above for printing your query.
Btw, you could search the manual training files relate to query PLD in http://www.service.sap.com/smb

How can I fix this. This is coming from the System template and we havent change anything.
Could you please help me.
Thanks
Sanjaya

Hi
I solved the problem. But the issue was when i ran the dunning wizard the layouts messed up. For example if I had a dunning letter with 3 lines (overdue documents). The last line would copy itself 4-6 times (it would show the last document 4-6times so the total lines in the dunning letter would be 7-9 lines). But I solve the issue. Somehow the attention person (which I got from the contact persons (ocrp) and not from the document contact person (oinv) ) did the issue. When i switch it to the oinv the issue was gone.

• Print Layout Designer or Crystal.....! What to do?

Dear All,
We need to link our User forms to Print layouts in order to make our reports work exactly the way SAP reports work. Is there a way to enable the print and print preview toolbar buttons and make them show our Report Layout? So far the response from SDK Forum is not encouraging and many questions regarding the same issue remain unanswered there.
After looking for the solution in the SDK Forums we came across these two replies from Mr. Nick He and Mr.Frank Moebius. Both are of the opinion that currently SAP does not offer a support for this feature and better use a third party tool. We are not in a position right now to opt for any third party tool but if we get a clear response from your side regarding this matter, we can go for it. Kindly have a look at the following links:
Re: Print Layout Design for user form in SapBusinessOne2005A(6.80.317) sp:01.?
Re: Add PLD Layouts in 2005 through sdk
The recommended solution within SAP B1 to develop Add-on reports is through User Queries and creating a Print Layout and run them via Query Manager Window. This approach in our view has the following drawbacks that make it less friendly with the end user:
1. Add-on forms appear in the left pane/menu, whereas reports would have to run through Query Manager only, which is in fact a small toolbar button on the top right side. We can add the Query Manager link to user menu but it doesn’t solve the problem.
2. A user with full authorization over the Print Layout can accidentally overwrite it by clicking the Create Report Button, whereas in case of SAP Reports the Layouts remain unchanged and only saved as a new Layout and set as Default Layout for a report. Add-on Reports cannot do this.
3. Different behavior of Layouts in Query Manager on Single Click and Double Click. In the Query Manager, if a user just selects a query by a Single Click and views a Print Preview (Layout) then the custom user Layout appears. But if a user Double clicks a query then the Query Window appears, exposing the query and making it editable. Also the Preview(Layout) is different in this case. The user can either view the Window or Table Layout in this case. Hence this exercise would make the user confused and prone to errors.
4. The Parameter/Criteria window that is SAP generated is not enough to fulfill user friendly interface requirements. Is there a way to add List boxes or Combos to that form. The parameter selection Checkboxes also behave in a strange way that even the experts find difficult to manipulate. If they are of no use, what’s the point in having them on the form in the first place.
All these points are leading us to confusion over the decision as to whether go for Query Based Reports or use Third Party tools. Kindly help us out in this regard. Your response would help us save some valuable time for our Add-on Development.

<<< If there is a solution then it has to be from SDK. We can only opt for third party components and frameworks only if any of the SAP representatives ensure us that the current version of SDK does not offer such support.>>>
The answer to that is to lodge your query as an Issue to SAP directly as a support question or go through your local SAP representative. If the functionality is not offered by SAP you can do a Development Request ( DRQ) and SAP will develop it if they think it will become userful.
<<<If this Forum is not meant to be answered by SAP representatives then kindly tell me any other Technical Support Portal from where i can get the answer directly. >>>
This forum is accessed mostly by SAP Business One Developers on SDK. However we are fortunate that some SAP employees who are very knowledgeble take some time off to answer queries.
Since it is a Forum, no one is obliged to answer. As indicated above , Try SAP directly if you need a definite answer.
<<<>>>
Since you mentioned Crystal: We as SAP Business One SDK developers, have come across similar issues and opted for a Inhouse developed Crystal Solution. It has been so popular we are selling it as a Generic add-on to B1.

Indika.

• How too set query print layout parameters?

Hello,
simple task:
1. Open "Query Print Layout...": SBO_Application.ActivateMenuItem("4868")
2. Handle new reports form: SBO_Application.Forms.ActiveForm (I know, the better solution should be get form with proper TypeEx and highest TypeCount, but now it doesn't matter)
3. Select row with required report: m.Columns.Item(0).Cells.Item(row).Click(BoCellClickType.ct_Regular, 0)
4. Run printing: SBO_Application.ActivateMenuItem("519")
5. Handle new parameters form: ???
How can I get newly created form containing report parameters (TypeEx "4000")? I wanna set proper parameters and click "OK" to show printed report. Doesn't work handling:
- FORM_LOAD in ItemEvent
- MenuEvent for "519" (is only BeforeAction
- PrintEvent (executed after accepting parameters)
- ReportDataEvent (passed FormUID belongs to reports list, not parameters)
In each event I've listed all forms and there is no form titled "Query - Selection Criteria" with expected TypeEx.
Is there any way to achive this?

when you activate print preview of printing on selected User Query Layout, you can cacth the ET_FORM_LOAD event of formTypeEx =4000
It is working. Please note if you do not have this event, you may check your filters (?)
Then you can populate your values. Based on my experience the click ok button is not working.
Tip: Search the forum in year 2009 i have posted there sample codes

• Default Query Print Layout problem

Hello:
I have a query below SELECT T0.[ItemCode], T0.[Dscription], sum(T0.[Quantity]) as 'Quantity' FROM INV1 T0 WHERE month(T0.[DocDate]) =month([%0]) AND year(T0.[DocDate]) = year([%0]) and T0.[ItemCode] IS NOT NULL GROUP BY T0.[ItemCode], T0.[Dscription] ORDER By T0.[ItemCode].
Which basically output monthly inventory invoiced qty. It works fine. However when I try ti link to the default system print layout and try to print. The column 'quantity' become very small and cut off most of the number. How do I make it bigger? I have been trying to modify it for quiet a while now. Nothing seems to work. I think it's length is preset base on the column lenth in the table! If that's the case how do I make it wider?
Also the default layout for user query are pretty weired. I think it's dynamically allocating spaces depends on number of column. But what happens when you do functions such as sum, avg..etc. There is no present length. So they just disregard it?
Any help will be appreciated.. Thank You
Sincerely Yours
Bo Peng

Hi Bo,
I am asuming that u are not yet familiar with how to work with PLD (Print Layout Designer). I would suggest that u see some tutorials from the following link and then try to change that default layout according to ur own requirements

• Print preivew Query print layout

Hi All,
I have a query that I have created a print preview to. I can click on Query Print Layout, select the report and print preview to show the report.
Does anyone know of a way to do this via the SDK?
I was trying to use the ReportLayoutsService and managed to get the report loaded into a SAPbobsCOM.ReportLayout but I have not been able to determine how to display the report.
Thanks
Karen

Karen,
There is not an object or method to do this currently via the SDK. The ReportLayoutsService Object is a service that enables you to copy the print layout of a specified document type from one company database to another.
Please also see this post ...
Run SBO report directly from SDK

• Query Print Layout - Incoming Payment

Hi All,
I have done the query print layout for incoming payment. but it cannot show the correct A/R invoice: document number. When I only make the payment for 1 invoice it seems to be correct, but when I choose 2 invoices to be paid, then the A/R invoice: document number for the second row is wrong ( if follows the first row).
Below is the query:
SELECT T0.DocNum, T0.DocDate, T0.DocCur, T0.DocTotal,
T0.DocTotalFC, T1.DocNum, T1.CardCode, T1.CardName,

ON T4.DocNum = T2.DocNum LEFT JOIN OCRD T3
ON T1.CardCode = T3.CardCode
WHERE T1.DocNum = [%0]
ORDER BY T1.DocNum
the fields that i want to display in repetitive area are: A/R invoice: Document date , A/R invoice: document number, Amount that they have paid ( partial payment / full payment) i used this database: Incoming payment - a/r invoice: paid, outstanding amount i used formula ( total document - paid to date), and document currency
Thank you! hope you can help.

Pauline,
I've tested your query in B1 2007A SP00 PL30 and works fine. I even created PLD for the query and I can see 2 invoice paid by one incoming payment.

• Query Print Layout column sum in report footer

Hi Experts,
I am utilizing a query and created the layout via Query Print Layout. I am using sort and group functions which filters my column sums for a certain field conditions. My problem is that when I want to make a total column sum for all the repetitive footers' column sum, the system shows a message that only repetitive areas can be average/ sum.
Is this the standard behaviour of the system? Or is this a limitation if we are using the print layout via Query print layout. Any workaround to get the final total for all pages column sum?
Please advise.
Thanks,
Don

hello
Don
what u want actually i dint understood as i now but u need colsum of ur repetitive fields or repetitive footer fields
I).if u want repetitive footer all columns sum take the contact of those fields ex:(concat(F_a+F_B -

II).if u want repetitive area lines colsum for every field u take as colsum with respect to the unique id of repetitive area fields
