Show updated pages

Hi, I'm quite new to web design, but I'm in real need of a
solution. I have a webpage which is set up to display 20 reports
per month - you click on individual links on the page to view a
report for the current month. Some months there are only new
reports for 15 out of the 20. What I'm doing at the moment is going
into the html code and changing the file path to point to a 'no new
reports for this month page, so that users know when there is no
new data for that report. As part of setting up an automated
process I want know if it's possible to tell the web browser to
look for a file (when the link is clicked), but if that file hasn't
been updated for 31 days (the last month), then display the 'no new
reports' webpage instead. I hope this makes sense. Any help would
be greatly appreciated.

My App Store has 3 updates. But when I open it up there aren't any updates. The page is completely blank and I can't do anything. The rest of the AppStore works perfectly though. My youtube app also is not working. I'm not sure if its connected in any way but it is not working.

Many people are having this problem for the last couple of days. According to Fly150in another discussion, this will work.
If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
1. Go to App Store
2. Select Purchased
3. Select All
4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
5. Select update on the Apps
This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store.

Click the Source Forge link - make sure you reject offers for any other software during the installation, Source Forge usually will ask you to install other stuff in addition to what you want (Filezilla).
It works well on Mac.
Dreamweaver also has built-in FTP functionality if you want to check that out.

You haven't told us which version of iOS you're running.
Anyway, is it restricted? Check Settings > General > Restrictions

Next time that happens while on WiFi, turn WiFi off in settings, wait about 30 seconds or so, then turn WiFi back on. Sometimes you have to do this two or three times, but this fixes that issue as well.

Trying to update "Pages" from App Store. An old email address shows up and am unable to delete.

I am able to purchase a new app from Apple App store using my current email address and password. I am not able to update a previously purchased app (for instance "Pages") that I purchased some time ago when I had a different email address. When I try to update Pages a "grey out" edition of my old email address is sitting in the id box and I am not able to delete it or get it out of the box and use my newer (2 years) email address. I have even tried to update my current email address with a new password which has absolutely no effect when I try to update Pages. Anyboday have an idea on how to get the old email address out of the id box?

Delete Pages and then download it from the desired Apple ID. This may require repurchasing it.

I did een update on a website i designed. After uploading on the homepage and
the 'aanbieding'-page I cannot directly navigate to the updated page.
Can anyone help me? For I do not understand what I am doing wrong.

I have bought pages and it all was going well until I downloaded the update. Now my files (which are mainly brochures) won't show the pictures in opening screen. So I have over fifty documents and they all show the pages logo on them instead of the pics

I used pages for brochure documents and copied pictures to them, after I downloaded the upgrade the documents only show the pages logo on the pages from the opening screen. Once you click on them the pictures appear but it takes me ages to do this so they all show. HELP

Tupelo, there are many, many threads here in the Apple Discussions about the many issues with Pages 5, and the multitude of features that have been lost in this supposed "upgrade." Like Jerry, I'd recommend you get yourself back to Pages 4.3 until Apple comes to their senses.
So...first off: do you have Pages 4.3 still installed? If you do, it will be in an iWorks '09 folder in your Applications folder. If you bought Pages 4.3 on its own from the App store, your copy of Pages 4.3 will have been overwritten by the new Pages 5.
If you don't have the iWork '09 folder in your Applications folder, do you have a backup with it installed there? If so, you'll want to revert to that version. I believe that you can drag and drop the older version of Pages (and Keynote and Numbers if you have those as well); I'd recommend that you create a folder called "iWorks '09" in your Applications folder and stick them in that.
Also, if you have a reasonably current backup, you will be able to recover your documents created in Pages 4.3. Whatever you do, do NOT open them in Pages 5 - once you do, the features you may have used will be gone and reverting won't recover them.
You may also be able to revert to earlier versions, once you get Pages 4.3 back on your HD/or locate it and so you can use it to open Pages documents. In order to try that, in Pages 5, go to File->Export->Pages 4.3 document and then close Pages 5, and open Pages 4.3. Open the document you just exported. Now go to File->Revert and see if you can find an earlier, pre-Pages 5 version. If you can do that, you should be able to fairly painlessly recover all your messed up docs. Of course, if you have a current backup, it may be faster to simply recover the undamaged originals from the backup.
Pages 5, if installed on your system, will be the default for opening all .pages documents. You therefore have to do something to prevent that (Get Info and Change All won't stick). Either move Pages 5 entirely off your HD (and to move it, you'll need to put it into the trash first, as simply dragging it somewhere just creates an alias - once you drag it into the Trash, you can drag it to an external drive, for instance) OR you can create a disk image by sticking it in a folder and then using Disk Utility->File->New->Disk Image from Folder. Toss the Pages.app (v 5) in the trash and then any time you want to open Pages 5, simply click on the disk image. It turns itself back into a disk image when you quit. And it won't be the default app for .pages docs when it's a disk image. Or you can simply toss Pages 5 in the Trash entirely. The only reason I've kept my iWork 2013 apps as disk images is in case Apple actually does upgrade them to recover the lost features and perhaps changes its freebie policy along the way. Or...someone might send me a Pages 5 document. They can't be opened in Pages 4.3, so I'd need it then.

Cannot update Pages (and some other apps)

I go to the app store. I log into my account. I click the "purchased" tab. Pages is on my list of purchased items. I click the "update" button..... it then tells me " You have updates available for other accounts" and "To update this applications, sign in to the account you used to purchase it". I have only one account, and have only used that one account to make purchases. Same thing happens when I try to update through "updates" and other ways. If i didn't buy it on that account, why would it be showing as purchased on that account? Makes no sense to me.
I got Mountain Lion for one reason only. So my Pages and Numbers would be on iCloud for my iPad and iPhone to see. And that is the one feature I can't use until I am able to update Pages and Numbers........

Did some more searching.... Turns out you have to trash the apps and redownload...... worked perfect!

Random apple ID keeps appearing when trying update pages to version 5.0.1

Every time i try to update pages to the newest version it asks me for my password, which is fine except for the fact that it has some random apple iD that i have never used before and never even seen. it comes up as [email protected], and i dont have a password for that account. i have never even entered that iD to any of my devices. i have never seen it! i need to change my ID but there is no way to change i, unless anyone out there would know.

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store alert. For example, if the App Store says you need to update "Twitter," the hacked app may be "Angry Birds" or something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you have to carry out a systematic search.

If any apps were download from the App Store using other Apple ID accounts that you control, sign in to the store under each of those ID's and check the purchases.
At least one of the items listed in the search window is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
Log out and log back in. Test.

How to show active page in Spry Menu Bar using images

Hi,
I have already read this answer "how to show active page in spry menu bar" but I am using images, not text. I have mouse-over and mouse-out working in the Spry Menu Bar using image.png and image-over.png, but I cant' figure out how to get the image-over.png to appear on the active page since the spry menu bar is locked on the individual pages. (I tried to put it in an editable comment, but spry wouldn't go for it. :-)
Any ideas. Here is the code:
