Show vertical scrollbar when 1D array only shows one element

When showing only one element of one dimensional array, only the horizontal scrollbar can be displayed. The vertical scrollbar visible option is greyed out. Even using property nodes does not make it visible. I have an array of clusters with many controls in each cluster that are aranged hozizontally across the front panel. I'd like the user to see only one element (one set of controls) at a time and be able to scroll through them using a vertical scollbar.

I think Brent's suggestion is very good. Another hack would be to cover the additional array elements with a decoration so that you only see one element.

I have resized listBox to display only one entry of char* items. As there is only one item displayed vertical scrollbar is not visible. Is there a way to show the scrollbar when listbox display is sized to show only one item?
Using up/down arrow it does scroll through other entries.

The only problem using ring instead of listbox is that when there is a lot of items it pulls down the ring and hids all the other GUI items behind it.
Real estate was one reason of using list box and displaying one value. I did change the list box as a control instead of indicator but still cant get the scrollbar funcitonality.

If you are having problems scrolling within a frame then you should be able to use two fingers within the frame to scroll

Im trying to transfer my songs to my itunes. ive tried wit all kinds of softwares and also manually. when i go to my computer and on ipod and select view show hidden files it dont show the ipod control folder. it only shows the dcim

You need a third-party program to get non-iTunes purchased music off the iPod. Which have you tried? Th good ones cost like TouchCopy and PhoneView. Here are some others:

Not sure if this is a fix, but I tried sending myself a test email from only the Bcc field, and lo and behold it now shows the Bcc field in all sent item previews;
...maybe leaving the 'To' field blank on purpose forced Mail to show it.
Rebooted the Mail program, still there - rebooted the machine, still there. Hope this is still relevant and it works for you too - J.

where do I set up when the program starts to show a vertical scrollbar?
front panel is higher than the monitor and I do not see the whole FP.

Use Maximize property, it will fit your FP according to screen resolution.
Use Vertcal scrollbar property, set it to true or else go into VI properties>> Window appearance and select "Show vertical scrollbar"

When subscribed to in iTunes the recent episodes show, but the Store hasn't updated for some time.
There appears to be an issue with the feed. In the episode 'WRESTLING MARCH MADNESS: Final Bracket & Championship' of 31st March you will find in the 'description' tag the following line:
4. KURT ANGLE
At the end of this line is an invisible character which seems to be wrecking the feed - although it works OK when suscribing in iTunes it won't load in a browser (and I also found the feed very slow to load, which won't help matters with the Store)
This sort of thing usually happens when you paste text in from a word processing application and manage to include one of the invisible control characters. I don't know how easy it will be do do it in Podomatic but you should delete that entire line and retype it to remove this charter.
You should keep an eye on the time it takes the feed to be accessed - if there is a long enough delay (and it was quite some seconds when I tried) the Store may well timeout and fail to read it. At the moment it's showing a cached version from the last time it was able to read it.

i saw this under the summary tab in itunes. when you hover over photos at the bottom it shows how many pictures. i don't have it set to sync pics off of my computer files to the phone which is over 6,000 which it said when i clicked on sync photos from but i didn't sync. My phone shows 1.4GB on my camera roll while itunes, under the summary tab of my iphone shows 2.89GB.
i just read this morning to delete photos from the stream which removes them from the cloud and all synced devices. this is why i get confused because i read that on apple.com as well.

:-) the problem is solved. Thanks to a great typ in one of the other discussions with alt+cmd+S iTunes looks again like something I recognize. After removing the iPod from iMac and also from the connecting "holder", turning it on ad off, rebooting the iMac, maggic happens and the iPod now shows in iTunes and everything works just fine.

Who is email provider? What sort of email account is it - POP3, IMAP or Exchange? POP3 will work like this as with that whoever first downloads the latest mail from the server deletes it from there and so it's unavailable to other mail clients on other devices.
Either switch your email account to IMAP or change your POP3 account's settings so the new mails are not deleted for some time (a week, a month or whatever) after first download and are thus available to other devices also (IMAP is best solution but if POP3 is all that's available from whoever your provider is then you'll have to live with POP's limitations).

If you are not showing reception bars, then I don't know how the data is working? Have you tried doing a reset? Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. After the phone restarts, check to see if it works. If that doesn't help, then try removing the SIM card, then reinserting it. If that doesn't help, then contact your carrier for assistance in calling.

Why is my new 10TB Mirrored RAID array only showing 1.8TB total space?

I have 5ea. 2TB Western Digital hard drives in a FirmTek 5PM enclosure connected via eSATA to my Mac Pro (April 2007 model). Running Leopard 10.5.8.
I used Apple Disk Utility to set up a Mirrored Raid using MacOS Extended (Journaled) and have a check mark by "Automatically Rebuild Raid Mirror Sets." My Raid Block size is 128K.
So, by all accounts I should have more than the 1.8TB showing as available space on this array.

Oh, you have mirrored one drive with 4 others creating a single 2 TB array consisting of one main member and four mirrors. I doubt this is your intended result. If you want a 10 TB RAID, then you want a "striped" not a "mirrored" RAID.
Now, you can make a striped RAID of one pair of drives, another striped RAID with another pair, then create a mirrored RAID of the two RAIDs. This would give you a 4 TB mirrored array. But the only way to use all five drives in a single array is a 5 drive striped RAID. To learn more about RAIDs see:

Actually as I squinted at your tiny image I'm sure you never actually created a RAID. You have one 2 TB drives that are not properly arrayed with any of the other four drives.

I don't really see you need a stackpanel or a dockpanel or an explicit size on row 1 of your grid unless for some reason you particularly want a fixed size.
You have a perfectly good headered content control there already - a groupbox.
Lose the stackpanel and do:

I think it's a bit unusual to put a header on a datagrid, by the way.
Usually a datagrid is kind of the focus of attention and it's obvious what's going to be in it.
I suppose this might be a minor aspect of a complex view though.

Import dialog shows iPhone twice, and photo list only shows outlines

In Aperture 2.1.2 I have been able to import photos from my iPhone until just recently. Now the import dialog shows three choices of import devices/locations, Local Disk, RJH iPhone and a second RJH iPhone. If I select either iPhone the main window displays outlines of 7 images but no picture information except for the filename. If I actually try to import the pics it says 'Import completed with errors, the following files were not imported' and it lists all the filenames. One of the iPhone devices shows up in the import list EVEN WHEN THE iPHONE IS NOT CONNECTED!
I'm sure there is a plist or something that has the list of import devices bu I have not been able to find it despite extended web and support searches.
Anyone heard of this?

OK, I have since discovered that the second iPhone device is listed only when my iPhone is plugged into a DIFFERENT USB port on my MBP. If I plug it into the same port I usually use, it is only listed one. However, both Aperture and iPhoto still see one iPhone device whether it is plugged in or not, and both show images with outlines only and won't import photos. So strange

My apple TV will not show my iPhotos travel photos in sequence. I set up a sequence of photos that STAY in sequence when viewing in iPhoto on my iMac, but they do not show in sequence when my Apple TV shows them on my TV screen. My Apple TV is MC 572C/A

My Apple TV will not show my photos in iPhoto on my iMac in the same sequence of images that I can see when viewing the iPhoto photos on my iMac. This is especially frustrating when I try to show my travel pictures in sequence on my TV. I have to resort to showing them on my iMac which defeats the principle purpose for purchasing my MacTV. Does anyone have a solution?

I can't recall whether slideshows are ordered by title or date, but you can manually re-arrange the albums in iPhoto, then batch change them once you have the order you want.
