Showing Contacts in 'Tasks'

I have tried resolving this with my IT department and Bell with no luck. I'm using a bold. I manage my affairs with MS Outlook. I organize my Tasks and To Do's for my clients by going to their contact info and assigning a task from there. When I go to Tasks in Outlook, everything is organized nicely by client name in one column, task description in another, due date, etc..
With the sync to my Blackberry, everything shows up in Tasks on the device (description of the task, due dates, notes, etc.) except the contact name field. Now I have no idea who each task in the list is assigned to. Rendering this vital feature useless. The only idea we've been able to come up with is having to retype every task description with the client name, which is a lot of make work and takes up a lot of room on my quickview of the task description on my desktop.

Unfortunately, in the field mappings for the tasks, there does not appear to be any field worthy of mapping to the "Contacts" from the Outlook data file. You might be able to get away with changing the mapping from the "Categories" to the "Contacts"
It is dirty, but should be effective.
I just tried it here and it does seem that it will accomplish what your looking for.

IMessage not showing contact names

I just recently downloaded and installed OS X Mavericks on my 2011 iMac and trying to get up and running with the new iMessage app. But there are two major bugs I can figure out how to fix if anyone can help me fix these problems or comment if your having the same issues that would be a big help.
1: When receiving a message from someone in my contacts list/address book, their names do not apper next to the message, but rather only their phone numbers. I have went thought the view options and selected show contacts name and also tried adding a name to the existing number with no results. Does anyone know how to fix this bug?
2: The lag time between SMS/iphone messages and the time it takes to show up in iMessage on my mac is rather long. There is about a 3 minute delay before the text message conversation shows up from my phone to computer. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Re 2).
This is a bit of a "known Issue" with no current fix.
The issue is related to the fact a iOS device seems to get the "first " push of the iMessage and that the Mac only gets "Sync" push which seems to be slower (and for some bizarre reason not always in order)
Re 1) I have seen this reported but maybe not as clearly as your post.
No-one seemed to make it clear the Contacts were in the Address Book (Contacts app) and that it seemed to be ignoring the Names for just the Numbers.
Obviously you can use the View Menu > Messages > Show Pictures and Name (or Show Names)
As you say this should link the ID or iPhone Number being used in the iMessages to the "Real Name" in the Address Card for that person.
The options are:-
A) You are receiving an iMessage from an iPhone Number but the link to the Address Card is not working.
If you make sure you are sending to an Apple ID what do you see ? (Apple ID or Real Name or in fact the iPhone number again)
This may be because you have lost the ability to "read" the saved data for the Contacts app.
B) Check the Contacts app and see if it is Syncing properly with any iOS device (i.e that all items have the Name as well as an iPhone number in the Address Card.)

I am also having problems with a site I am building. No matter what websafe font I use it displays as New Times Roman in FireFox. The correct fonts show in both IE9 and Chrome.
In addition, text shifts in FireFox. I have to position other text objects farther and farther apart as I go down the page or they start to overlap. Nav buttons and other images also have to be positioned in the wrong place for them to be in the correct place when the page is opened in FireFox. FireFox should display pages correctly by default. I can't expect th average user to have to tweek his/her settings to display my site.
I have been recommending FireFox on my website as the best browser. I might have to change that and abandon FireFox myself.

I have three device: Macbook Pro (OSX 10.7.5) for work; an iPad and a Blackberry for mobile. I used mail, iCal, and Address Book combine with mobileme (iCloud) to exchange data such as contact, calendar and task from my Mackbook Pro to my iPad but never to Blackberry. The problem is my boss was asking me to change to Outlook 2011 for Mac because some of the email that I sent from Mail did not appear in my client's Blackberry. So how do you sync iCloud (contact, calendar, task) to Outlook 2011 for Mac? and how do you make seemless sync between iCloud to Outlook 2011 to Blackberry device or an iPad?

Let's try to get an idea of what might be going on with some preliminary questions from b noir's "smack" for iTunes launch failures:
Is there an error message associated with the launch failure?
If so, what does it say and what (if any) error numbers are there?
If there's not an error message, let's check your QuickTime (its well-being is a requirement for a functioning iTunes).
Go to the XP Start menu > All Programs and try running QuickTime.
Does it start?
If not, then the same question as for iTunes - is there an error message?
If so, what does it say and what (if any) error numbers are there?
Do you notice any other peculiar behavior with QuickTime?

Phone won't show contact name in recents list

Phone won't show contact name while somebody call me, the same is in recent list under number is unknown. I already reset my phone and try to make new contact when somebody called me and it isn't work.

you have entered the number in the wrong format. There should be no zeros. IF you were entering my number then that would be +617 XXXX XXXX with the + being the international dial out code and 61 being the country code 7 the area code without leading zeros and rest being my number.
If someone wanted to call me from insider the country but from another state they would dial 07 XXXX XXXX but the international dialing format would still work. Note that the 0 in the area code is not used in the international dialing format

Firefox 19 upgrade (uninstalled prev version, reinstalled 19). brouse shows up in task manger but not on screen - invisible?

Please make sure your firewall isn't blocking. Please also try right clicking and select "Run As Administrator". Another thing you can try is a clean reinstall.

PROTECT DOES NOT SHOW CONTACTS IN BACKED UP DATA; 8530

Hello, when I attempted to restore my data from Blackberry Protect I do not see CONTACTS in the list of data that has been backed upand available to be restored.
I checked the under OPTIONS in the app menu to verify that I had selected contacts and as I thought "All Supported Data", which includes Contacs is chosen.
When I look on the website, it does NOT show contacts in the restore area.
Whats going on?
Equipment = 8530/Sprint/OS v5.x

Status showing Pending Preced.task in UCMON

Hi Friends
Please help me to solve the problem of "Status showing Pending Preced.task in UCMON ".
I executed all the tasks right from Period Initialization to Validation of cons.data.
But all the Tasks status shows that "preceding task is pending".
The Status of the all the Tasks group are in "Incomplete"
Help me how to correct them .

We got only one Hierarchy i.e Cons.by Legal .
Cons.Monitor --> Task Hierarchy --> Cons. by.legal.
But we do have Regional Hierarchy in Consolidation Group.
Cons.Unit --> Cons.group --> 1.Cons.by Legal,
2.Cons by Region.
In UCMON we are executing the tasks for 1.Cons. by Legal Hierarchy
we did not taken the Cons.by Region Hierarchy at all in UCMON.
please help me to solve the problem.

Contact Quick Tasks, Gmail, and Facebook

This "problem" has been driving me nuts. I say problem because it annoys me, but it's not a huge deal. I just want it to WORK.
Anyway, I have problems mostly with contact photos.
When I first got my phone, the initial sync from Facebook to Gmail/DroidX was painless. It assigned all the current contact photos (what I will call first generation photos) from facebook as expected. But, it won't update. I know it doesn't do this natively. You have to have some third party app to do it. I've tried a couple (SyncMyPix android app and .Google Contact Sync by heartofangel desktop app)
Right now, I can sync my facebook photos to Gmail with Google Contact Sync without issue. Works fine. Only works with contacts that are in your Gmail contacts, not all facebook contacts. BUT...getting those contact photos onto my phone is where the problems start.
If I look at my list of contacts on my phone, the thumbnail photos in the list are old (second generation photo after a sync a month ago with SyncMyPix, which was a joke...uninstalled). If I click a contact, then the photo on the details screen is correct (third generation photo after sync with Google Contact Sync). Why are they different?
Then there's the Contact Quick Tasks widget included in MotoBlur. Ooooh man. The pic on there is from the very first load of facebook photos (first generation) and it will NOT release it. I can delete all widgets and when I put them back, it's that same photo, over and over, no matter what I do. So, obviously, there's a cache somewhere that is storing that old photo and it will not overwrite it. Pain in the butt! And it's from those couple weeks on facebook when everyone was posting photos of cartoon characters. So, my wife is a pic of freakin' Rainbow Brite!!! GAH!
Does anyone have any suggestions for this annoyance. Why are contact photos so unwieldy??? Is it absolutely impossible to get realtime updates of the photos from facebook to my contacts? That would be sooooo nice.

Power the phone off then back on, then dial *228 send and option 1 on the device.
Possible issues could be application conflicts. The Launcher Pro Application sometimes conflicts with the Contact Quick Task Widget.
If you are using a Task Manager Application try removing the application, or changing its settings. Make sure that you have cleared the contact data on the widget.
As a last resort try removing the contact from the phone, then re-adding it, then try using the Contact Quick Task Widget for that contact..
