some of users getting this error .printer issue is working fine but they are geting this error
PP-FND-00500: AFPPRN received a return code of failure from routine FDUPRN. Cannot read file E:\APPS2K\applprod\common\BPOD\out\o1212988.out
Cause: Application Object Library encountered an error while reading the file E:\APPS2K\applprod\common\BPOD\out\o1212988.out.
Action: Check if the file exists. Contact y

Do you get the same error if you print to "noprint" and "no. of copies = 0"?
i have to ask users
and i got some more info from metalink
This specific error can be ignored, but the more prudent solution is to modify
the concurrent program definition in order that it does not try to print anything
by default.
1. Log into Applications with the System Administrator responsibility.
2. Navigate to Concurrent/program/define and query up the concurrent program.
3. In the lower right corner where the output options are listed, clear the
checkbox next to the word "print". Leave the "save" option
checkmarked to avoid an APP-00088 when running the program because it was
unable to delete the output file which was never created.
4. From the menu bar of this same form, select "Action/Save and Proceed".
as per oracle metalink saying we have to checkbox next to the word "print". Leave the "save" option because this is daily sales report they have to print daily baisis
please suggest me on this

BI Publisher - PO_DISPATCH Error generating report output

Sorry for my bad english... having said that...
I need to modify the Purchase Order print. First, I wanted to see the standard version to get an idea of how much different it was. Well, I don't know because it doesn't work.
Error:
Error generating report output: (235,2309)
Error occurred during the process of generating the output file from template file, XML data file, and translation XLIFF file.
I know there are several topics on the web, but all of them are about new or custom reports, this is a standard one. When I preview the report on the report definition it works fine, so I assume there's a problem with the XML file generated. When I preview the report specifying an alternative XML I get the same error. The XML file I choose was the one generated by PeopleSoft when trying to view the printable version of the PO online.
So, I start cutting portions of the XML File. I started leaving only de Header Data and it works OK, when I add the Lines it failed. I add the Line Fields one by one to detect what was the problem... And finally it failed when I add AMT_LINE_MAX. Why? No idea, is it because its value is '0,000' instead of '0.000'? I don't think that should be the problem since there are other numeric fields on the header, all with ',' as a decimal separator...
Am I missing some configuration?

Show Oracle APPS Report Output Automatically in IE

Normally in Oracle EBS (View>Requests>Submit New Request) we submit the request to run any report and after normal completion of the report, we press the button View Output and system show the Output in IE, output may be in PDF or Text. In my case requirement is not from front end so i create one trigger (AFTER INSERT ON MTL_MATERIAL_TRANSACTIONS)and through "FND_REQUEST.SUBMIT_REQUEST" submit the report request to the concurrent manager successfully and completed. Here I want to show the report output automatically show in the IE instead of open the request and click on the View Output button.

Why you have defined trigger that we can't understood.
Can you explain more in detail or code you have written ?
The Logs and Output are located in $APPLCSF/$APPLLOG and $APPLCSF/$APPLOUT respectively,
The output file is generated with o<request_id>.out in $APPLCSF/$APPLOUT directory.

Error in Report Output

Hi Every one,
I have an issue in one Oracle report developed in 10g. I am able to get pdf output in User Interface but not Excel output. so I have gone through other oracle report existing which have EXCEL output in UI. I have seen JAVA code as 'desformat=spreadsheet<code>desformat=xls'
when I put the same code for my report, it is rendering the following ERROR:

REP-1814: Report cannot be formatted. Object 'horizontally' can never fit within 'B_1'.
can anybody please let me know the solution for this. this is Urgent.

Hi,
You can get output in PDF as you see in report runtime preivew.
But you can't get same output in .txt.
Bcoz if it is in .txt , there is a problem with null strings for each of the columns..
Bcoz the report is in bit-map mode.
So plz change it into Character mode.
go thru steps mentioned in reports--help.
type character mode settings.

"Import Error" at report output.

Hi All,
I need help for a problem that I am frequently encountering.
After I execute a report, an information dialog is thrown on the screen which says:
<b>"Import Error: No result found for key RU 0047621000029"</b>
After pressing the tick button on the dialog, the same dialog pops up again, but with the number on it incremented once. This goes on till the <b>RU0029</b> in the message becomes <b>RU0119</b>. (In effect, I have to press the tick button nearly 90 times). After all this, the output comes.
This has come so far for 2 reports. The common elements in both the reports so far is only an e-mail code and a selection-screen.

in my repository fact table is there "service request".
in that fact i have created one column and i havent given aggrigation. And i havent given levels also.
But if i create report by using this column, it is throwing error.
how to create messure without aggrigation and without levels?

XML Report output giving error "word cannot open the file because....

Hi All,
Greetings!
I have a standard report, 'Payables Posted Invoice Register".
The report was going in to warning beacuse of some Invalid characters in the Data.
I corrected the invalid characters and then ran the report ; it completed fine.
But now when I try to open the report output, the output is not getting open but its allowing me to save the file.
When I save it on my local machine and try to open it, I am getting an error as "word cannot open the file because it is larger than 512 megabytes".
The document size showing is 664MB when I saved it on my machine. And the output type of the report is RTF and not PDF.
Can anybody please help?

Let me give you some background. In the Windows registy, every Oracle Home has a setting called NLS_LANG. This is the variable that controls, among other things, the numeric characters and the language used. The variable is made up of 3 parts. These are:
language_territory.characterset
Notice how there is an underscore character between the first two variables and a period between the last two. This is very important and must not be changed.
So, for example, most American settings look like this: AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8MSWIN1252
The second variable, the territory, controls the default date, monetary, and numeric formats and must correspond to the name of a country. So if I wanted to use the Greek settings for numeric formatting, editing the NLS_LANG for Discoverer Desktop to this setting will do the trick:
AMERICAN_GREECE.WE8MSWIN1252
Can you please check your settings? Here's a workflow:
a) Open up your registry by running Regedit
b) Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE
c) Look for the Oracle Home corresponding to where Discoverer Desktop is installed. It's probably called KEY_BIToolsHome_1
d) Clicking on the Oracle Home will display all of the variables
e) Take a look at the variable called NLS_LANG - if it is correct Exit the registry
f) If its not correct please right-click on it and from the pop-up select Modify
f) Change the variable to the right setting
g) Click the OK button to save your change
h) Exit the registry

Key figure, number of decimal places are not showing in report output

Dear experts,
At cube level PO qty value is getting 0.010 where as in bex report output of PO qty showing as 0. I have chosen decimal places as 0.000 in key figure additional properties tab. In query designer also I have chosen no of decimal places as 0.000 in display propertiesu2026please help me out. How can I get 0.010 value in report o/p.

Hi,
Try to run the query in RSRT. CHeck if you are getting the same output. Also make sure that in the reports all the filters are same as you have applied in the info -cube to see the data.

How to show error message in a report program

Hello Guys,
I am making a report using smartforms. I am successful in showing data but problem is if if i put a value in parameters that does not exist is database, the smartform runs and related fields shows as empty fields. But the form is running. I want to show error message if the parameter values dose not matches with the database values. The message will show as Document not exists
So i used related error msg here like
if sy-subrc ne 0.
          message e357.
           endif.
But it is not working for passing values to smartform. It works if i use in classical report. Plz help me on this issue.

Error when sending report output to printer from Forms 10g

I have a simple report that I am running from a form using run_report_object built-in. I can successfully send the report output to a file but when I send the report output to a printer my report is
terminated with report status of 'TERMINATED_WITH_ERROR'. I am using the default forms service and reports server that comes with the forms builder. How do I specify the reports server to user my default network printer ?Following is the code that runs my report.

If you use Windows the user that runs the reports server is usually LocalSystem. Check this in the Windows Services panel.
LocalSystem has no printer access. To be able to print, you have to use a real domain user that has access to the printer. So, change the Log on properties in the Services panel.

EPM 10 NW Report showing error - No Current connection

We are using EPM NW 10 Version SP 15 Patch 1.NET 4
When we Open the report from offline , The report is showing Error : " Error - No Current Connection"
And also some reports showing Value error , While opening the report in the offline . In this report we used EPM retrieve formula
This issue facing for one user machine

Let me start by saying that disabling the right mouse will do nothing but frustrate users. It doesn't protect the page content from anything. There are various other ways to get the content from the page copied locally. And more importantly, this does not_ offer any kind of security.

In order to make this happen, you would need to modify the report. I will assume that when you said "report" you meant Oracle Reports. Open the report file (.rdf) and edit the report's "Before Report Value".
The default value is:
