Showing parameters different in Chrome and IE in Report Server

Hi All
I have created a report by SSDT ( Sql Server Data Tools) and deploy it on Report Server.
I can see the report in chrome and IE
but the problem that I have is about the parameters.
I have two parameters for Start Date and End Date.
in Chrome I can't select the date to have report in period of time, but it works correctly in IE and exactly according to what I have designed and see in the report viewer in SSDT.

Export your HTML and then Just edit index.html with any text editor look for sentence <link rel="...................................>
Then delete all this sentence and copy this one

PATH = Where you have your favicon.ico
I usually copy the favicon.ico in the folder images so the sentence will be like this

Dynamically pass the username and password to report server to invoke reports

Hi
The scenario is as follows:-
9iAS is installed under - Windows 2000 (web server and report Server 6i) and everything works fine.
We have developed a page using pl/sql cartrige (oracle 8i), from that a report is invoked with some parameters. However, the userid and password is stored under keymap file (cgicmd.dat).
Is there anyway to pass dynamically the username and password to report server in order to invoke the report.?
Can any one advise?

I have a web page that contains a ReportViewer control. I am trying to display a report, which is an .rdl file located on the SSRS server, in this ReportViewer control. I have set the ReportPath and ReportServerUrl correctly. I am
getting an error message.
Am I suppose to use an .rdlc file rather than a .rdl file? Does the web server configuration need to use a certain account?
I am getting the following error message:

The error "The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found." means the ReportServerURL configured in the ReportViewer control is invalid.
Please follow these steps to solve the issue:
Logon the Report Server machine.
Open the Reporting Services Configuration Manager.
Copy the Report Server URL from 'Web Services URL'.
Logon the application server(in this case, it is the server that host the web page), check if we can use the URL we got from step 3 to access the Report Server. If so, please replace the ReportServerURL in the ReportViewer control with this URL. If it is
not available, could you please post the error message.
Additionaly, we don't need to provide the extension for a server report. The ReportPath should be like: /<reports folder>/<report name>

Here is my site in question. I've been redesigning things lately ... and checked it out in Chrome and I.E. (haven't checked out the other browsers yet) and the color schemes look extremely different on my end. I am at a loss for why this is.

And just to add - The color schemes in I.E. were actually colors I used in dreamweaver but I changed them to the colors that are showing in Chrome. Chrome is the one I want and I.E. is being difficult. I can't find in my code where I could possibly have multiple colors selected as background colors.

When you have layout problems, the first place to go is to the W3 validator. I say this because it make no sense to chase a layout issue when you know your page contains HTML that doesn't validate. Unfortunately, your page does not validate -

Most of those errors are simple fixes - you have been pretty sloppy about making sure that tags are properly closed, and your table structure is a tad hinky. See if you can fix these first.

Problems with fluid grid layout live site only showing phone view in Chrome and Firefox Feb 2015

Hi all,
I have done a complex fluid grid layout using DW 2014 CC. The site has now gone live on the web masters server setup.
Up until now the layout of the site has been working fine and responding to screen size.
Early this morning in the USA the site stopped working. The layout for some users, not all, is only showing the phone view, and takes a long time to load.
This is happening in Chrome and Firefox, but IE is displaying the site properly.
So it looks like the CSS media queries are not working on all browsers.
I am using BC for the test site, and one user having this problem can see that version of the site OK.
I noticed that Chrome has done some updates recently Chrome Releases
Has anyone else come across this problem with Chrome and Firefox with their responsive layouts?

Yes, thanks for this link. The Travel Health Website is one of ours, hosted on BC, and no reported problems so far. We also have another large BC website with ga code in it and users are not reporting problems with it. The Headless Way
However the problem website is hosted elsewhere on a different platform to BC. We have been developing it for three months now, and no problems so far until yesterday. The problem of the site taking ages to load, and timing out seems to be happening with about 10% of users in the USA. http://www.harrisonassessments.com/
The web developer found a user in NZ who was experiencing the slow display problem. They looked at the site with Chrome, Firefox and IE. The site would only display on IE. When the developer removed the google analytics code, the site displayed fine on all browsers for the NZ user. We are waiting for users in the USA to wake up and test the site.
So the problem definitely is related to the ga code and the responsive layout that was done by me in DW2014.1 fluid grid layout. So the related problem of DW2014.1 not being able to load htm files with ga code in them looks to be a good clue to what is going on here.
As there was a bug report for DW2014.1 and google analytics code made in the other thread, I would be interested to know if that was ever solved.
It is interesting that you are pushing Bootstrap and Foundation on me. (Big square websites here I come! lol)
I wonder if DW is going to persist with fluid grid layout then? I certainly hope so, as I have spent 12 months blood sweat and tears learning how to do it in DW.

How to setup and run Oracle Report server 10g !

Hello everybody,
I have installed the Reports Server as a service on a Windows machine ( my OS is Window server 2003).
I created a new reports server service as following (in Command Prompt):
c:\ rwserver -install repserver autostart=yes
but not working and notified ' Please consult the installation guides for how to set up and run this program'
Has anyone showed me 'the syntax rwserver.exe' to install this service.
Please help me!

How to add a new font into Report Builder and Oracle Forms/Reports Server?

Hi,
I've searched the forum and can't find this being discussed.
My developers run Report Builder 10.1.2.0.2 on their XP laptops.
Their reports run (in production) on Oracle Forms/Reports Server 10.1.2.0.2.
This server runs on MS Windows 2003, SP2.
They've got a client who wants reports using the "Garamond Western" font.
So....how do I get this font onto the developer's Report Builder laptops, and onto the Oracle Forms/Reports Server?
I've moved various 'Garamond' fonts into C:\WINDOWS\FONTS on both the laptops and the server, but neither seem to recognize it.

This answers 1/2 of my question.
The developer can now use Report Builder on his laptop, with the new fonts.
But when he moves this new Report to the Oracle Application Server/Forms-Reports Server, it fails to use the new fonts.
The Oracle App Server/Forms-Report Server is Version 10.1.2.0.2. It runs on MS Windows 2003, SP2.
I have installed the exact same fonts on this server, into C:\WINDOWS\Fonts.
I have used REGEDIT to change REPORTS_PATH....and placed C:\WINDOWS\Fonts; as the first value in this field.
I have then stopped and restarted the Forms-Reports Server.

Software/website screen differs in chrome and mozila ?

I have made a software in .ASP. But in chrome wide screen it looks fine, but in small screen or Chrome browser it looks different. i.e. sometimes menu comes down in next line, or the down screen matter doesn't display etc. What I have to do so that in all type of browser and different size of screen it will look same. It is major problem for me. Please clarify and give the solution.

How can I set the New Tab Page so that it only shows my Bookmarks (Like chrome) and not the history ?

Hello, I've recently installed Firefox on my new PC after giving Chrome yet another chance (I've had bad experiences with it) and after seeing crashes everywhere I just gave up. I'm a long-time Firefox user but I've never been able to figure out how to prevent the New Tab Page from showing the Browser's History.
Is there a way to make Firefox show Bookmarks and Folders on the NTP instead ? Also, is there a way to make the Bookmarks bar show on the New Tab Page ONLY ?

The about:newtab page shows pages that you have visited. So if you visit a page by clicking a bookmark then that bookmark will become a history item and will thus appear in one of the tiles on the about:newtab page.
If you want then you can customize the tiles and drag bookmark (and history) items in a specific tile to pin that web page to that tile.
You set the number of rows and columns that appear on the about:newtab page by modifying these prefs on the about:config page via a double-click.

Iweb showing up different in Firefox and Safari

Looks the way it is supposed to in Firefox, not the right way in Safari.... what gives?

Make sure you are using web safe fonts - these are the fonts common to most browsers/computer systems. If you use a font that is not available on the users system then it will use the default font which mey be a different size than the one you used. This will may make the text larger and therefore the text boxes may overlap. There is a list of web safe fonts in the inspector panel. If you really want to use other most exotic fonts then convert them to an image by adding a dropped shadow.

RUN_PRODUCT option.I'm using the values entered the FORM
as parameters for the report and I'm able to run the report.
How ever I have to show those parameters which are
being passed from FORM to REPORT in the header section of the
report so that user can see the selections he/she has made.
Say if I have 2 elements in the form
DEPT NO and COMMISSION when I call the report from the form
I want to see those in the Header Section of the report.
If no selections are made in FORM then
I want to see something like this.
DEPT NO : ALL COMMISSION :ALL

Amazon site shows no radio buttons in FF -- Chrome and IE8 show ok

Loading up a new Win-7 machine (my first -- was on XP)...
AMD Athlon II X2 215 dual-core processor
4 GB RAM
750 GB HDD
Firefox 3.6.8
Amazon site shows no 'radio buttons' (eg - 'Buy with one-click'/ 'Add to cart') on product pages
These show fine in both Chrome and IE-8...
Spent an hour a day or two ago on the phone with Amazon customer support
(They were to my mind good/ thoug perhaps not great)...
Claimed their trouble-shooting data base showed NO similar incidents to date...
I also tried disabling ALL add-ons, rebooting, trying again...
Same results...
Thoughts ??/ Ideas ??/ Maybe buy me a dedicated Amazon machine ??

You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:
* Open the web page that has the images missing in a browser tab.
* Click the website favicon ([[Site Identity Button]]) on the left end of the location bar.
* Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
* Go to the Media tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
* Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.
* If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
There are also extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that can block images.

Printing a PDF file from Chrome and Firefox - Image missing

I created about 20 marketing sheets for work using the same default settings and a template. They contain several inserted images of drawings and floor plans on each sheet (saved individually). When I try to print a couple of different files directly from the Chrome viewer or the Firefox viewer, it removes one of the images I inserted into my pdf. There are about four of 20 sheets that I am having this issue with. It does show when I view it in IE's viewer though and also when I download the file and open from my downloads. For ease of use, I really need to have it show when viewed in Chrome and Firefox. Any ideas?

Make sure you're opening the file using the Adobe plugin, not the built-in
PDF plugins of these browsers:
