Showing text on window after hotspot mouseover
Hi,
Im trying to show some text on the window when i move the
mouse over a part of an image, dependng where on the image, the
text will change, I have found some code on the following link :

but this is for drop down lists and has a selected index
referenced in there. I been trying everything to get it working and
have now given up!
Please can anyone assist? The error im getting is:
"selectedindex is null or not an object "
because its for a dropdown.

Showing the results window after termination
Hi all,
When I terminate my batch sequence execution in TS 4.0 using "RunState.Engine.TerminateAll()", it shows grayed-out windows and won't show the results window, even though it saves the results into an XML file on disk.
Is there a way I can show the results window to the operator after the sequence is terminated?

Go to Solution.If you look in your model you will find a step called Read Entire Report. This is just making an activex call to Report.Load. This is what displays the report at the end of an execution. If this does not get called no report will get loaded. Since you are terminating then no report is getting loaded. In fact if you don't have on the fly reporting on then the html files that make up each thread of a multithreaded batch run won't contain any data which will result in no report.
If you use the ProcessCleanup callback you should be able to load the report in there.

My left shift key on Macbook Pro Retina (15") is behaving like the F11 key (show/hide open windows).
The left shift key behaves the same on the laptop keyboard and on an external Apple keyboard.
This just started in last week after 6 months of use. The right shift key and other keys on the keyboard all appear to work correctly.
Suggestions greatly appreciated.I have a solution to this issue now after a discussion with Apple Support. Some where in the last few weeks, there was a change in the key that would do a Show Desktop under the Mission Control settings in the System Preferences. Even though the key sequence that was shown for the Show Desktop setting did not include the Left SHift key, by changing this first to having no key sequence and applying that and then changing it back to the F11 key, the Left SHift key issue that I was having has cleared up.
A second issue that was uncovered was that the SSD had some issues (uncovered when I ran Disk Utility using the Repair Disk key). I had to restart and use the Disk Utility through the Command R sequence to get to the stand alone Disk Utility. The SSD appears to be running better as a result as well.
Hope that this is of use to someone else in the future. -
IPod Touch will not show up in Windows XP after iTunes 10.2.1 update
After updating iTunes to 10.2.1 my 4G Touch will not show up in Windows XP to charge or to sync. I have been reading this forum and following the multiple Apple help and troubleshooting steps with no luck. I can get Windows to recognize and charge the Touch as a camera but it will not update the driver for Apple Mobile Device. I have come to the conclusion it is an Apple software problem. Does anyone know where I can get the previous Apple Mobile Device driver for Windows XP? I would like to give that a try. It's really disappointing....
Upon uninstalling and re-installing all of the Apple software nothing has changed. I can see Apple Mobile Device Support in add/remove programs but when clicking on "repair" it cannot finish and says it encountered a fatal error and no changes have been made.
The error I get trying to install the driver in Device Manager says "I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request".
Does anyone have any suggestions? -
Show javascript window after closing
Hi,
how to show the "javascript window" with my custom buttons again after it has been closed? I have a submenu with menu item (supposed "Show Buttons"), which calls a function for generating of buttons. After this window has been closed, the customer would select again "Show Buttons" in order to see it again. It is not possible, as the buttons are actually initialized and cannot not be initialized again with the same name. How can solve this issue?

AlexThere's nothing wrong with creating a document-only toolbar, you just have to add some error processing code if you ever need to display the toolbar after the user closes it. For example:

It's easiest if you make the code that adds and removes the tool buttons into a function. -
When i click on 'Show all in Finder' after searching for anything on spotlight, NOTHING happens! NO Finder window opens up and the spotlight dropdown menu just shuts! Please help!
I'm having the same problem in other places as well, for example when i downloaded Easyfind right now, clicking the small magnifying glass button on the right of the file name (shown below) would usually open up finder highlighting the file, but now nothing happens when i click on that button!

Simple PopUp Close Window after Saving
Greetings,
(I did some seaching on the forum and didn't find a solution.)
I have a PopUp window (called with the popUp2() function) which I would like to have close when a person clicks the save button in the PopUp, therefore only showing the main page.
(I have an application that the user can enter general comments in. They want a window to pop up for the entry of their comment(s) and close after they enter and save them. Automatically 'returning' to the main page they were on. When they click the Save button it simply saves their comments into a comment table that is associated with the main tables of the application.)
How is it best to close the PopUp window in the scenario I described? A DML process is saving the changes. I assume that's a server process, so javascript to close the window won't work there. I was gonna add a branch to close the window, but branches are server side too.
Not sure how to best go about closing the window after table changes are saved. I bet it's something simple, but I'm not seeing it. :-)

Since the form is not submitting to the database try the other option I gave you.
Remove the javascript from the SAVE button, set the Target to -No Target -.
I assume you're using an Automatic Row Processing (DML) that saves the data to the database?
If so, after that process, create a PL/SQL process using the following:

Under the Conditional Processing for this process, select the 'SAVE' button (When Button Pressed).
Remove any branches you have on the pop up page (assuming you have a branch that takes you to page 24).
When you click the SAVE button, the DML process will run, saving the data to the database. Then the second process you just created will run which will close the pop up window, then reload the 'parent' page.

How do I move Elements 8 projects (slide shows) from a Windows XP computer to new Windows 7 computer that also has Elements 8 on it so that the slides shows will work (Elements 8 works well on the Windows 7 computer & I have done several new slide show projects on it)? I tried backup & restore without success. I have also found the .psess files and copied them to the catalog in the new computer but when the sides shows are opened none of the images or music is there. Only the text that I entered shows. I have even tried to replicate the file paths from the XP computer to the new computer to see if that will help.
UPDATE: By a stroke of luck I happened to find a catalog link (a PSE8D file) in the 'My Catalog' file where the imported data was stored. When I clicked on it to investigate what is was 'magically' all of my transferred projects appeared in Organizer. Upon further investigation I found that the projects transferred from my XP computer were stored in a hidden catalog that had to be accessed through the Custom Location option in Catalog Manager (accessed by clicking File then Catalog then Custom Location). No Windows or Elements search revealed this fact. I am appreciative that I just got lucky. The Adode/Photoshop company was absolutely of no help. If fact to me their structure is designed to avoid contact with their customers unless you're buying a new product. Their products have many good features (even though user unfriendly) and it's a shame they don't value their customers more once the sale is completed.
Bottom line: All of the projects (sideshows) have been recovered and work in my new Windows 7 computer. I hope my experience helps others. -
IPod shows up in Windows but not in iTunes
I have recieved a new IPod video 30Gb off my g/f (how nice of her :D) anyway when I plug it into my computer it will not appear in iTunes, a problem plenty of people are having it seems. The difference being I think I know what caused the problem but I'm having trouble with it still.
When I recieved the Ipod I tried it on my girlfriends computer and it worked fine. She already had an ipod and itunes installed. I was able to add music no problem and it appeared in itunes. She however was having problems downloading on her computer for websites or using download sofware since installing itunes and the problem went away when itunes was uninstalled.
Because of this (there were work arounds so I'm not after a fix for that) I thought I try using other software to see if that stopped me having this problem. This meant when I got my ipod home I plugged the ipod into my computer and did not install anything off the disc. This I believe is what has caused my problem for not being able to see my ipod in itunes.
Anyway I tried to get other software to work (winamp at the time) but couldn't figure it out and so thought I'd just bite the bullet and install itunes and hope I didn't have the same problems as my g/f.
After installing and plugging my ipod in again nothing happened. I checked My Computer and the ipod was there and called PHIL'S IPOD but nothing was in itunes. I then followed all the instructions on here :

Is there anything else I can try to get my ipod to appear in itunes I really do want to use it but at the minute I can't at all.

I spent about a week trying EVERYTHING, blamed apple for some stupid glitch and gave up. Ten days ago my daughter got an ipod nano, and since we share the same pc I did warn her of what might happen. Yup, it did. Exactly the same problem. Once again I tried all the tricks, the five Rs, renaming the drive, you name it, I did it. Throughout this period though my PC was running a little slow and weird things were happening and despite using Norton Antivirus and other anti spyware I suspected I had not fully recovered from some sort of infection which drove me mad by blasting me with popups for 888 casinos etc. What I thought was really odd was that nothing showed up in Device Manager and having googled around a bit I came across this from which you can download a AproposFix.

How can i create a simple netweaver portal page that shows text and images?

i have a simple question or maybe it's not so simple.
I am completly new to SAP Netweaver 2004s Portal. At the moment i'm trying to understand the struture of the whole thing. I already know how to create roles, worksets and pages and i know how to combine the different elements so a user can acces them.
And now i want to create a simple portal page that shows text and images. Is it possible to create such a simple page with the portal content studio? What iView do i have to use?
(I just want to create a start page with a welcome text on it.)Marc
Considering that you would any ways go ahead with complex development from this simple start page I recommend create a Web dynpro Iview for your start page (include the Iview in your page).
For putting the contents use Netweaver Developer studio to build a simple start page application and put your static text on that Iview.

I am using Firefox 7.0.1 on Mac 10.7.2, my downloads window and my show all history window would not open. After trying everything, I had to remove all my firefox information from the computer and reinstall then make a new profile with the profile manager. That fixed it but when I re-installed download helper the problem occurred again. I repeated this to make sure it was download helper.
I located the problem and it is not Downloadhelper. When I open firefox on my second monitor (I use an imac and a second monitor for dual screen) I can no longer see my downloads window.

I had the exact same problems before, iTunes doesn’t recognize iPod after connecting it, I had to use the restart iPod Service method to get it working.
I tried this on my second computer and it worked perfectly, iTunes recognizes iPod every time I plug it in.
I compared the process/services opened in both computers, and I turned on some services which were previously on disable(excluding iPod Service). Unfortunately I forgot which services it was, so I took some screenshots and compare these with your services.
After modifying the services, I tried plug and unplug the iPod several times without closing iTunes, iPod was instantly recognized by iTunes every time!
I attached the links to screenshots of my automatic services and manual services, ignore the service if its not on your list!
For those don’t know how to open Services, Start -> Run -> “services.msc”
