Showreel to be displayed on a 42" LCD TV

I've been asked to create a flash projector looping showreel
that will be required to play on a 42" LCD TV.
I'm unsure as to whether I should be setting my stage size to
a specific ratio or not. Has anyone had a project like this before?
And if so what size worked best.
Thanks in advance
Mike

well if it's a 1080p tv it will have a resolution of 1920 x
1080, if it's 720p it's 1280 by 720 and if it's 480p it's 720 by
480,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/480p,
anyway you go you'll have to make the file 16:9 aspect ratio

  • Qosmio X305 screen not displaying like my desktops LCD screen

My screen seems to be displaying dull images.
I'm kinda concerened, because it's an LCD screen, and its not displaying like my desktops LCD screen.
I put the brightness up, and that helped to see the images better, but they still are not of the quality they should be.
Is there a way to fix this? Or is that just how it is?

Many Desktop LCD Monitors can get very bright, much brighter than most notebooks. So it may just be how it is. Perhaps you could go to the shops and compare it to other X300's on display.
Try resetting or modifying the Contrast/Colour/Brightness settings in the nVidia control panel.

  • Desktop not accepting HP-Display - Compaq WF1907 Wide LCD Monitor update

    All...
My desktop not accepting the HP-Display - Compaq WF1907 Wide LCD Monitor update.  I've tried many times since 1/10/2008.  Its really just annoying more than anything else.  Anyone know why I can't get this update into my computer.  I've never had any other problem with my Compaq-Presario GG060AA-ABA SR5127CL.  Maybe I should just count my blessings and overlook this anomaly.  Thanks.
P.S.  I just noticed that I put this message under the Notebook category.  Oh well, maybe someone can answer my question anyway.

Here's the basic steps , including checking the parameters.   My all time favorite,  using reverse logic (sometimes).

  • Macbook Pro Display Blank/Black - Replaced LCD

Hi all - I recently started working on a Macbook Pro for a coworker that had dropped their MBP. The LCD was broken, but the computer was still functional, as I saw that the OS booted normally. So, we ordered a replacement LCD.
The first LCD was dead (or so we thought), so a replacement was given by the LCD distributor. Same deal.
Dead monitor, I have tried the following unsuccessfully:
    -reset PRAM
    -reset PMU
-new inverter, new cable - neither worked
    Any thoughts?

OK--so this is an original MBP. You are in the late 2008-early 2009 section of the forum, so I am going to request that your post be relocated to the original MBP section.
Have you tried an external display? If you get good graphics on an external, it will be further conformation that the graphics chip is OK.
I am puzzled as to why the original display worked, but two separate replacements did not. I have heard of the brightness indicator getting stuck all the way to the left, so that the display remains black. Can you see the desktop at all by shining a bright light through the apple? If so, maybe you could go to System preferences>Desktop and see if the slider is stuck, and if so, move it to the right.
    Good luck!

  • Mini-display not recognizing any LCD

I have an IMac 27-inch OS 10.6.7 Intel-based.  I cannot get the Mini-Display port to recognize any LCD screen.  I have two adapters.  One for VGA and the other for DVI.  I have tried two different monitors with the same results. Neither VGA nor DVI will see the monitor (which displays the "no signal found".  Both monitors work on a PC laptop.
    Any help be appreciated.

    Morning kirstenpolley,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
If you know the hdmi cable is good.
You may want to try a different input channel or a different display adapter.

  • T410 display replacable with T400 LCD screen?

My friend recently had a T400 that broke, and he took apart the computer for the sake of doing so.
He knew that I had a T410, and was wondering if I might want some of the parts. I knew that my screen was probably th biggest bottleneck I could upgrade for my computer, and immediately went for his screen. The screen was a LP141WP2. After some research, I've found that it is a LCD screen, just like my thinkpad t410. However, when I searched it up, I've found that it only put into T400. So, I was just wondering if anyone had any knowledge about this matter. I don't want to go tearing up my beloved T410 if it isn't going to be replaceable.
    Thanks!

This isn't a widespread defect AFAIK.

  • DMP 4400G not displaying content on Cisco LCD 110L PRO 47

    All,
I have a DMP 4400G connected to a Cisco LCD via HDMI.  The DMP is controlled through a DMM (5.2.3).  The IP info displays on the screen when I tell it to, but I am having trouble displaying content.
    I have tried the following:
Pointing the DMP to URL on the DMP.
Pushing a presentation from the DMM to the DMP.
Pushing a "go to url" from the DMP.
The DMM says that the task was submitted, but nothing displays on the DMP.
    Any thoughts?

Thanks for the input Joe.  The I was able to play the file straight from the DMP, as well as another mpeg2 file that I loaded on there.  I didn't get any audio from the file though...
My other issues seem to be specifically with the browser.  If I try to play a URL (media plane or browser plane) FROM the DMP, or try to play a playlist from the DMM, I get a "browser_play_failure" error in the syslog output.

  • Apple 22" Display (Clear Acrylic Bezel)-LCD Replacement?

Did a real stupid thing and impaled my display on a Sharpie highlighter... don't ask.
Is there anyway to replace the LCD panel on these older displays? I sprung some coin for a new HP w2207h and am just not sure this is the right monitor for me. I had the Apple Display calibrated and working just beautifully. Now I have to go through the tweaking process all over again.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!!

That LCD panel has not been produced by LG for years and years. You would have to find a service or repair facility that had one as NOS (new old stock) which could take a lot of searching. Likely it would be easier to find someone selling the same monitor used than finding a replacement panel. And it would probably be cheaper, too.

  • Not displaying correctly on my LCD HDTV?

Ok everytime I plug in my MacBook Air to my Dell Flat Panel TV/Monitor with the VGA cable, I get the desktop background (Aurora) only, there are no icons, menu, mouse etc., it is like frozen Please help.

It sounds like the MBA is running the Dell in extended desktop mode. You should notice that the trackpad's cursor can be slid off either the left or right edge of the MBA's display and onto the screen of the Dell. Similarly, in this way, you can drag windows onto the Dell's screen, too.
If you want the MBA and the Dell to show the exact same thing, you need to turn on mirroring from within Displays preferences.

  • Can not get MacBook Pro to display on Sony HDTV LCD

So I bought a DVI to RGB (Y/Pb/Pr) cable. I have it hooked up and use Detects Displays. It detects a VGA connection but it will not show a picture on the TV. I have verified I am on the right input on the display and checked all just in case. I can't use DVI to HDMI because the TV only has one HDMI and it is being used by my cable signal. There is another input that is labeled RGB in the Sony manual but I can not find a DVI to RGB that looks like the plug configuration on the back of the TV. I would like to stay away from S-video and everything else because they do not support HD. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried a DVI-VGA (D-SUB) cable? It does actually support any resolution supported by both the display and the computer (including HD). This will deliver the same signal as your analog component RGB cable. I use this with my SONY HDTV every day, works very well.

  • Dim display lenovo t 400 lcd

    hi....
i dont know why and how  this happened but it so happened that my thinkpad t 400 display became very very dim.
i tried increasing the brightness but it was of no use. Also the various lights that are present on the display panel(wifi, bluetooth, battery, charging, sleep mode,...etc) are not glowing any  more. The screen has become very very dim.
Some people whom i have enquired have told me that the THT bulb might have fused.........................................is it so....................................................whatever it is please suggest me some help...............................................I need my laptop very badly at this point of time

If the front panel indicator LED's are off and the backlight is dead, then it sounds like something's wrong with the cable or motherboard. Whether or not the lamp is dead is uncertain.

  • Macbook display on a 40" LCD

is it possible? what do i need to buy? tv has hdmi inputs, everything except the 100gb processor, it is 80gb. please help!!
    macbook   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

If the TV has an RGB input, you can use an Apple Mini DVI->VGA adaptor, or if you can only connect through HDMI, you can use the Mini DVI->DVI adaptor, and purchase a DVI->HDMI adaptor.

  • How can I display and connect my PS2 (play station) on Qosmio LCD?

    Hello,
I purchased an F25 Qosmio and I have been trying to connect my PS2 to display it on the LCD. I connected the PS2 to the Composite Video-in cable and I have tried every channel on the TV but could not find the display channel?
Did I follow the right steps or I am missing something?
(P.S. I have tried treating the PS as a set-box and tried using the media center to configure and scan for the channel but apparently the setbox model has to be inserted and this is where I stopped)
    Appreciate your prompt support
    Thanks!

    Hi again
Qosmioplayer and Media Centre are two different things. To be honest the configuration of your Qosmio notebook is not known to me but here in Europe Toshiba has installed one small Qosmioplayer that allows you to watch TV, DVD movies or listen music CDs without starting operating system.
Qosmioplayer is small Linux based application and it is installed on small unallocated HDD partition.
I mean, if you want to watch TV using this Qosmioplayer all you must do is to connect antenna cable into composite port, start Qosmioplayer and scan the channels like on usual TV.
For example I have watched old movies from my VHS player in Qosmioplayer. Video signal is for me the same just the source is different. I think it must work with PS2 exact on the same way.

  • Introduction of LCD display

LCD display, known as LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), belongs to a flat panel display. Used for TV and computer screen.
    【Introduction】
Liquid crystal display (LCD) used in digital watches and many portable computers. LCD display uses two pieces of polarized material, between them is the liquid crystal solution . Current through the liquid crystal will rearrange so that the light is not available through them. Thus, each crystal is as shutters, not only can allow light through but also can block it. Liquid crystal display (LCD) technology are now moving toward to light, thin, short, and small, he traditional CRT display which has a long history in computer peripheral products, display is also no exception.Under the title of easy to carry and transport, the tranditional display method such as CRT display and LED display boards, etc., are subject to too large or even giant power consumption and other factors, can not reach the user's actual needs. The liquid crystal display technology development is in line with the current trend of information products, no matter in right-angle display, low power consumption, small size, or zero radiation, etc., all can allow users to enjoy the best of the visual environment.

LED is just the method of backlighting. The display panel is still LCD. Typical LCD panels (including iMac and some other Apple LCDs) still use CCFL (Cold cathode fluorescent lamp) for backlighting. The unibody MacBooks (and the LED Cinema Display) have moved on use LEDs.
So they are still LCD displays in either case. The only difference is the source of the backlighting. LEDs are supposed to provide more even lighting, if designed right. They also do not fade in brightness over time and use, like CCFLs, and are more energy efficient.
