Shrinking images

I am having problem with pages that I am looking at "shrinking" as I move my cursor across it. What can I do. I can even shut down and restart and when I open the page again, it is still microscopic.

Be careful with your fingers on the trackpad. Pinching motions can shrink a window (page). I disable that feature on mine. System Preferences>Trackpad. Uncheck Pinch Open and Close.

IPhoto 2 shrinks images before uploading them to flickr

The new version of iPhoto 2 shrinks images before uploading them to flickr. Now you can't use flickr to backup your orginal photos through the iphoto app.

In fact no matter if I use a High or Medium compression size JPEG, the size after upload is the same.
Starts with 1,5 MB/5600px (high) or 780kb/5600px (medium) JPEG and ends after upload in 115kb for a 1024px image.
This means that iPhoto auto compress in order to publish to Mobile Me, even if we start with a bigger file.

Is there a way to automatically shrink images in an epub file to fit the visible screen?

Is there a way to automatically shrink images in an epub file to automatically shrink to fit the screen in Adobe Digital Editions? This happens automatically with the Kindle and I assume with the iPad and Nook as well. However, the large images in the epub do not automatically shrink to fit the Adobe Digital Editions viewer. Is this an issue with the software or the epub file?

I have a problem with a single email. This email attachments possess 2 PDF type files. These files are not embbed in the email, but they have the contentId property. Could you tell me why? or if its possible discovery why this happens?

IPhoto shrinking images

When I import photos from emails to iPhoto, they become tiny beyond use. I have been reading everyone saying that iphoto doesn't shrink your pictures, but it so does. The file size and the image size are both different from the original file. Any ideas?

No - iPhoto does not shrink imports - or modify imports in any way - it only makes a bit for bit copy
Typically emails have very small photos attached to them which are unsuitable for any use except viewing on a computer screen - so the mose likely cause is tha tyour "original" is tiny - but sinc eyou provide no actually informatin except tha tyou have a problem we cna only make guesses like this
How are you "importing photos from emails to iPhoto"? If you save the photo to the desktop from the email and check its size in the finder or using preview what are the pixel dimensions? Then check in iPhoto - they will be the same -- iPoto makes no changes during importing.

Saving in Acrobat shrinks image

Creat an image in Illustrator 15.0.2 (CS5) and Save As a pdf. Open that image in Acrobat 9.4.6 (CS5). The size indicator in the Acrobat toolbar shows the size to be 78% and it looks correct. It the size is increased to 100% or not, it prints at 78%. What's up with that? How can I correct it so it prints in the proper size. [MacBook Pro early 2011, OS 10.6.8] Thank you

It may depend on the PDF print settings; you may have Shrink oversized pages to paper size or something.

I am new to vector, but what I know is that it is suppose to look the same whether 30x30 o
r 3000x3000...
Several times now I have created an image at about 500x500 and then wanted to use this image in a document.
Well when I put the image into the doc and shrink it significantly, lets say to 75x75, it is nothing like it should be anymore.
Some objects lose their effects (scribble for example loses line marks) and others just lose their porportion.
Am I missing something?
Should I be working with small images and grow them to my needs instead?

Is it possible to gave the image frames I have laid out in-line thorughout a book to auto shrink proportionately with a page dimension change?

Trouble Shrinking image w/out loss of detail - ??

Hello: Level: Newbie OS: Windows 7 64bit IA: CS6
I am having trouble shrinking this compass I made.
I have the box ticked in the preferences that says to scale strokes and effects.
I made the original image 420X420 the one below is 380X380
The second image is 190X190. As you can see the increments become pushed together. I actually want this image to look exactly like the first picture at an icon size of roughly 64X64.
Is there a way I can keep the look of this compass but make it icon size?

Just to elaborate a tiny bit on the simpler version option, in this case you may consider replacing the single degree tick marks (or tic marks if they get too troublesome) by a partially transparent Transparency>Opacity less than 100 solid colour between the circles, behind the longer tick marks (this sounds really coherent). This may replace some strange irregularities by an average colour showing that there is something, thus making the viewer see the unseen (this sounds really really coherent).
The lesser principal winds (directions NE, SE, SW, NW), and the numbers are the next to go and just become pale turds; they will still make sense, at least until the four greater principal winds go.

Shrink image on PDF page to make room for header & footer

I have an application that prints to pdf with no header and footer, and does not leave wide enough margins for me to add the header & footer using Acrobat without overwriting part of the document/graphic on the page.
What would be the EASIEST way for me to reduce the image and widen top & bottom margins on each page of a .pdf document without cropping away part of the image, so that I can add the header & footer to each page?

Use the graphics package that you used to create the PDF to add the margins. You might also print to a new PDF to add margins. Graphics do not scale in a PDF, at least in my experience.

Red and Gray Compass sizes and shrinks image

I continue to have the sudden appearance of what looks like a map compass that has a red arm pointing up. Usually I am using the text tool and am ready to type in it when the red compass (most of the rest of it is gray) appears and takes over and kind of pulses as it takes the whole selection and picture and makes it size down by degree until it gets to be awfully small. It just takes over. I have to zoom in to be able to see the area again and to type in it. This is weird. What is going on? How do I stop this from happening? What is causing this? I use CS4 on a MacBook Pro. Thanks.

Sounds like the Rotate View Tool indicator – if You don’t like the OpenGL-features You can turn it off in Preferences – Performance.

Printer shrinks image on print

I have a simple Word document with two text boxes, side by side, each measuring exactly 12 cms by 12 cms - one containing a picture and one containing text. When I print the document on myt HP Ink Advantage 2645, the dimensions of the text boxes are both altered (shrunken) to 11.5 cms by 11.5 cms.
My word software is 2013 32-bit and my OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.
Does anyone know how can I lock the text boxes, so that they print with their original dimensions?

Why is image over flowing content div into footer div?

My content div is set at 975px wide padding 20px. I insert a image that is 700x525. Content div expands to fit image. As soon as I set the alignment on the image to left Content div shrinks, image overflowing into footer and text in footer is wrapped around image. If I set a height for the Content div larger than height of image all is well. My problem is images on different pages will all be different sizes.

Inserting image with correct aspect ratio?

Hi, just adding an image to my project, but the aspect does not seem right? I have to stretch my image to fit and it doesn't look right?
I assume I have 2 options, stretch the image and let it look wring, or adjust my image in Lightroom or Photoshop to fit the dimensions of premiere? (I don't want to shrink image to leave black boarder on project.
Do I have to resixe image to 16:9 as to what it is in Premiere?
