Shrinking page when items are hidden

Thanks to other posts on this forum I got a section of my form to be hidden when a checkbox is checked but now I've got a large blank white spot. Is there a way to have other content move up into it's place? I plan on trying to have some other sections work the same way and when it's all done I don't want to be printing several pages that are mostly blank.
Any help would be appreciated.

This is the difference between Presence of "Hidden" versus "Invisible". Invisible will still take up space on the layout, while Hidden will not take up space.
Also, you need to be using a flowed container as your subform or page. If it's positioned, then hiding fields wont' cause everything else to move up.

How to find VI's connected terminals when controls are hidden on the front panel?

When working with a sub-VI which has terminals connected to hidden controls is there a straight-forward way to find the terminals on the block diagram?
I click on the terminal and an outline appears on the front panel but when I try to click on that outline I can not unhide the control.
The only way I have discovered to find the terminal of the connected control is just check each terminal on the block diagram which looks like it might be connected.
I'm using LV7.1 but also use 8.5.

One way that you can find the terminals on the block diagram by performing a search by text. The context help will show you the names of the controls/indicators. Well, of course, Ben. My comment was not meant to be taken seriously... hence the smiley happy icon. To respond to your question in a more serious matter, though, there's always exceptions to rules. That's why they're rules - they're meant to be broken. Otherwise they wouldn't be rules. It's a strange state of the universe, isn't it? Although, one could probably just place the control behind another object. That sort of hides it, doesn't it?

Outlook 2011 on MAC Sent Items folders not syncing when items are moved and deleted

Emails in the in the inbox can be moved to different folders and they will update (disappear from the inbox) on the Macbook with Outlook 2011 . the Windows PC outlook 2010, Iphone and OWA update accordingly. Sent Items that are moved on the Macbook are only
moved in the Macbook. The rest of the machines still have the email in the sent items folder and the "moved" email in the folder it was moved to.
Redid the identity and its a new install. What is next? Sent items are changed on the Macbook more often and the changes need to propagate across all the devices.

Do you have Cached mode enabled in Windows PC Outlook 2010? If so, please turn if off to see the result. To do this, open Outlook 2010, click File > Account Settings > Account Settings, double click your Exchange account, then clear the
Use Cached Exchange Mode check box.

How create TO from TR when items are QM relevant?

I am using function module L_TO_CREATE_TR to create a TO from a TR for raw materials being GR'd into a raw material warehouse.
QM is set up. If I use function module L_TO_CREATE_TR, I keep getting error 2 (QM_relevant). However, if I go through LT04, I would need to go through palletization to bring up the screen in order to choose the place into stock option before entering the bin into which I am placing stock
Is there a way of creating a TO from TR where items are QM relevant with some function without resorting to doing a call transation of LT04?
Any help would be appreciated

Hi, I'm trying to personalize my computer with the Classic Terminal look (Black Background with Bright Green text). However, everytime I use a Black Background, many web elements (like hyperlinks, or guides, and one time Steam Codes) would be hidden, not even border outlines. I've tried going into firefox's appearance settings and changing it to have my colors instead of the Site's colors, but to no avail. If you override background colors and background images and use the !important flag then you can get a lot of problems.<br />
There are also web pages that only set a text color or a background color and assume that you have 'regular' default settings.<br />
so be cautious with forcing your own colors on web page.

How to distribute photos on a page when they are all smart objects

Hi there,
I have 5 images on a page in 3 columns, 2 each of 2 and 1 of 1
They are all Smart Objects that have been resized and cropped to fit the openings they now occupy.
I've been sizing, aligning and distributing these things by eye but watched the tutorial on how to use the alignment and distribution buttons so thought I'd try that.
Things seem to go ok when aligning edges ...for example if I select the two images in the center column and align their left or right edges that works OK. Similarly I can select the top or bottom edges of the large on in the column of its own on the right and align its top edge with those in the other two columns and ditto for the bottom edge.
When 'distributing' them however, things don't work, The distribution tool seems to be working off the underlying images rather than the visible images which have been resized ...and sometimes changed ...via the 'replace contents' command.
Is there a way to get PSCC 2014, latest build ...to distribute based on what is visible instead of what the underlying image is?

Any size image can be fitted to any image location however it works better when images and image locations have the same orientation. Landscape to Landscape Portrait to portrait.
Note the difference in the populated images here when Image and image location orientations don't match up.

IBook freezes when items are sent to print

hi there.
our iBook freezes whenever we send something to print. the icon for the printer never shows up in the icon bar and there is no reaction from the printer, but when the computer is restarted, the printer spits out whatever was being printed.
this happens no matter how many applications are open, and even when the printer's usb cable is plugged directly into the computer (our normal set-up has the printer's usb plugged into a usb hub that houses a couple other peripherals.)
any ideas?

Are you trying to download items simultaneously? If so, you may be taxing the RAM on the iPad. You mention apps download fine as long as you are not trying to download any other content at the same time. I would suggest one download at a time if the iPad is freezing when you perform simlutaneous downloads.
If you insist on continuing that way - and it is your choice to do so - you may want to close any open apps and restart the iPad on occasion if you want to download this way.

Weird black lines on tablet when items are pinned

Hi.
I'm getting weird black outlines on tablet which appears to happen when I pin an item.
Looks fine on desktop.
Any thoughts? Top is desktop below is the tablet.

First thing I checked for was strokes. None applied. I copied the item on to a white part of the page and switched off the pin and the black lines disappear.

Css issues on system pages when templates are used

On the system pages on my site the css is coming through from the template.
I've used the same template throughout the site.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

When items are deleted from photo stream are they deleted from iPhoto also?

when I delete photos from the photo stream are they ever deleted from my iphoto library? I do not want to lose any photos when photo stream reached its limit.

To avoid any unwonted deletion before you have time to import your photos into iPhoto, you should set the automatic import in iPhoto preferences.

Calendar not updating on Iphone when items are removed from Outlook calendar.

Recently a couple of my board members purchased IPhones and IPads. And I have set them up the best I can. If they create a calendar entry on the IPhone or IPad it will show up in Outlook right away. However if they or one of their admins log onto their Outlook calendars and remove a schedule meeting the entry will not delete off the IPhone or IPads. I know there is a 15 minute sync on the devices but I have tested them after hours and days and the entries are still on the calendars on the mobile devices. This creates serious issues when people show up to meetings and destinations that have been cancled days in advanced. If anyone knows anything about how to fix this please let me know.

Overlap of texts in web page when texts are enlarged

When I display a webpage with texts in boxes, and I press Command + to increase the display size of the texts, usually the surrounding box also expands or adjusts to accommodation the larger texts. But when I press Command + again, then the texts from adjacent boxes start to overlap.
A similar thing also happens with Firefox, except that I can press Command + a few more times before the texts start to overlap.
Is there any preference in Safari that I can adjust to delay the overlapping of texts?

In Safari, as soon as I press Command + twice, then the texts in the top right corner about Mail and Weather start to overlap.
But in Firefox, even after I press Command + 8 times to zoom to the maximum, everything stays in proportion without any overlap of texts.

Adobe Flash Player 10 often locks the page when ads are moving, only in the Firefox browser.

If I for example want to download from www.mediafire.com the page comes up, then the Adobe Flash Player 10 puts up a warning box (before the ads appear in the window) and tells about an Action-script Error:

I reverted back to FF3.6.16 and it works fine.

D110 prints cover page when lphotos are sent

How do I stop my D110 from printing the email address on the first sheet of lphoto paper prior to printing the photo. Photo sent from BB Curve using gmail.

Are you just sending an attached picture from your gmail account on your blackberry?
Does your email client on the Blackberry put a signature in emails? If so, try removing the signature and sending just the photo as an attachment, and no content in the body of the email. That should result in only the photo printing,

Pages loose item persistence in frames

I have these pages that branch to each other. This works fine, except when the HTMLDB pages are part of an intranet app and actually rendered inside a frame. When this happens, then my page cache is cleared even though I do not explicitly clear it with the URL argument. They transition to the correct pages within the frame, just the items are now cleared.

The pages are public. I am using this code to process an insert and then return to the calling previous page:

If I leave out the items/values list from the URL, then page 23 will clear all its items when these pages are in a frame. If I leave off the items/values from the URL but the pages are on top, not in a frame, then the page 23 items are not cleared.
