Shuffle ****, I love it BUT...

Ok, Got a new shuffle for Christmas, Hooked it up with no problems and copied over about 50 songs just to get started. They played fine and I loved it.
Next day I decided to fill it up, Windows would see the Shuffle, but ITunes never would. I tried it on 2 pc's and same issue with both. I worked through the 5 R's recommended on the support page. No help. I tried live chat, waited for an hour and was told to try the 5 R's again, and if that didn't work, return it.
So I returned it the next day, brough home the new one.
It also connected fine, and I filled it up. Hit play, and could hear No music... Back to the store.. they verified it had tunes, but couldn't play, so they gave me another.
I loaded it up last night. It played great. Yippee..
Took it to work today and listened to it for about an hour.
Tried to listen again later in the day.. It's dead. It won't connect to any of the 12 PC's at the office, and it won't recharge or anything..
guess I'm going back to the Apple store... s

I'm not sure what artcile you viewed when you were having this "issue" but I had this same thing and I called the ipod tech support and they referred me to an article called 'iPod shuffle troubleshooting and service FAQ' maybe it will help!

Sorry Glen, but there is not. And you don't have to upgrade to 10.6 (Snow Leopard). You need at a minimum of 10.5.8 (Leopard).

Thunderbird is a great asset to my boss and I. We use Thunderbird all the time and love it, but for about a week it constantly goes into "not responding mode". My boss uses the same service at home with no problem at all.
I did an "safe mode" and restart and for a few minutes I thought it was "healed". However, I did a search and the same thing started happening again. The little blue ring starts spinning and "not responding" pops up above the toolbar. Sometime the screen fades to a sort of greyish and no mouse click are responded to, even to close Thunderbird.
Please help however you can. Our office number is 512.246.3995.

Try the Firefox SafeMode to see how it works there.

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one.

I love firefox but hate the constant up dates that lose my add-ons that I use everyday.

I use my add-ons every day but the up dates keep changing my tool bar. I pay for Roboform and it is an add on that I use to keep all my password's in please tell me how I can keep this on my tool bar along with google. I love FireFox but hate the constant updates

@kaaremi, do you own an E7 so you are speaking from experience, or are you repeating reports/reviews you have read ? The Camera's capabilities you mention, are limited by EDOF not being good with macro photography, but the rest of your issues can either be resolved with 3rd party applications, or don't exist. My E7 displays any company information attached to the contact when I recieve a call and it works fine with time zones, plus of course, if the phone doesn't fulfill your requirements there is always the choice to choose an alternative ?

Remove the song in question from the sync list and see if the rectifies the problem.
If it does, then iTunes believes the song no longer exists on your drive and that will need to be corrected.

Yes, but I don't know enough about iPhoto to understand the consequences of "imported them into iPhoto first". In any event, I do understand the needs of Lightroom, and if the photos have been moved or renamed or deleted (or if the folders that contain them have been moved or renamed or deleted) outside of Lightroom, then this will cause the Lightroom symptoms you describe. You need to reconnect the photos in Lightroom using the instructions I linked to. Either that or move the photos and folders back to where they used to be after you imported them into Lightroom. Nothing else will work.
In the future, please understand that your photos are never stored in Lightroom; they are stored on your hard disk somewhere and the very simple principle that you need to follow is that Lightroom needs to be informed of where the photos are at all times, using the methods in that link; or better yet by never moving or renaming or deleting the photos (and the folders that contain them) outside of Lightroom.
As an additional recommendation, the idea of using both iPhoto and Lightroom on the same photos is one that could cause problems, especially for beginners. If you are going to use one of these software, then don't use the other one.

Are you viewing in Preview or Reader? On my system, the Preview window dictates the size of the text/images sizes. If the window is moused larger, the text and images increase in size. If I select "Zoom In" the document increases in size. Adobe Reader behaves the same way. You might check your Preview/Reader preferences for potential causes.

Basic troubelshooting steps have not changed in iOS 7. Restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new.
