Shumway doesn't work on Youtube regardless of what I do. I tried everything I could find online, turning the Flash add-on off, setting it to ask etc. I'm on Firefox version 29 Nightly and I have turned Shumway on in about:config.

Shumway is still in its earliest stages, so might not work properly in a lot of cases.

You'll have to upgrade your operating system first.
Most, if not all, Cloud apps require at least OS X 10.7.

Firefox: YouTube doesn't work, neither does Hotmail. What's wrong????

I used to love my Firefox but lately it has become one big head ache. I have v3.6 since I had heard so many complaints about V4, and am always afraid to lose my beloved add ons (Sxipper, Morning Coffee) when I update. These are the things that make my daily life easier. Sxipper should be adopted by you guys since they are being faced out and is the best password option ever.
Anyway, neither YouTube or Hotmail work on FF anymore. So am now being forced to use IE or Chrome, but I would love to keep my FF. None of the solutions offered for either problem have helped me.

I have the same problem. Actually, it started when I switched the language on my iPhone to Spanish. Because Siri doesn't work in Spanish, I switched back to English. But the dictionary now is a mess. So, I reset the dictionary, but that didn't help. I tried restoring my iPhone but that didn't help either, I assume because when I restored, it picked up the bad dictionary. I can't restore to an earlier date because I can't lose me texts. But I am surprised that resetting the dictionary had no effect whatsoever.

If it's the apps that you've downloaded from the App Store, but not the Apple built-in ones, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.
If it's all apps including Apple's then try closing them all completely and then see if they work when you re-open them : from the home screen (i.e. not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Why doesn't Webm and HTML5 Video doesn't work on youtube with Firefox 4.0b8pre?

I go to http://www.youtube.com/html5 and enable html5. I do not get any video tags or content of the sort.
If I do a search: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=gods+gonna+cut+you+down&aq=0&webm=1
None of those videos will appear with the video tag. It will all be adobe flash even though I don't have flash installed. Youtube used to work great with firefox4.0.

The problem is with your user agent. it is:

I have the same problem, and while I do not know its cause, I have found a workaround- install user-agent-switcher.....
Have you installed firefox-4 with the "daily" ppa too?

Family Safety Doesn't Work on Youtube

I've been testing the Family Safety Settings, etc., and found out anything goes on YouTube. There's a lot of good things on YouTube, but I don't want the kids to see the nasty stuff. Is there any way to stop the nasty stuff besides not allowing
YouTube at all?

Unfortunately you'll never be able to use technology to completely protect them from the wired world. The more you try to block, the more they'll try to get around the restrictions. It's the wrong approach.
You'll need to teach them that there are good things and bad things in the world, and how to use good judgment. Provide them enriching activities that don't involve them closing themselves off from the world and surfing online.

Mouse sometimes doesn't work in youtube

I installed Arch64 in order to switch to it when I finish tweaking it.
I use wmii, firefox and adobe's flash plugin.
Sometimes I can't use the mouse in the flash video in youtube. The buttons are highlighting when I hover over them but clicks do nothing. Not when clicking on the video itself and not when clicking on the video interface.
I can use the keyboard for seeking and play/pause.
Sometimes it works. I have no idea why.
I can open two tabs and one of them will work and the other won't.
Any ideas?

I have sam problem as you SoleSoul in wmii. But in awesome and dwm, flash works.

Firefox updated itself to 3.6.9 and now I can't print anything from an open page, because HP Smart Web Printing doesn't work with this version. What's a replacement extension?

I have the exact same problem. I updated to 3.6.12 and encountered the "blank page" printing problem. I ended up re installing Firefox 3.0.19. Printing works great. Also Firefox 3.5.15 gave the same blank page printing problem. I also installed "Better privacy" and " Ghostery"at the time of updates. These programs do not run under the 3.0.19 version. Not sure if if they are related to the problem. Good luck and hope a solution to the problem comes about.

Airplay still works on my two iPhones and iPad air so this isn't a universal problem. Did you try a reset of your iPad?
First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Boot CD doesn't work Satellite 5105-S501. What should I do?

I do have some major problems with my 5105-S501
The computer is totally screwed up, with a little help of some evil virus. Well, anyway; I thought this would be a good time to format the HD and install the OS again.
Did like the manual said, put the recovery and applications cd started up. When I choose to install I get the message " wrong computer". Even thought this was the cd I recieved with the computer!
Tried to format the hard drive manually in the comand prompt, did not work. The hard drive was in use and the computer could not force it out of use.
Put an XP pro cd in to the drive and tried to install that one. I have to choose to delete the current partion in order to format the HD, then I got the message "System unable to perform the requested operation on the selected partition. This partition contains temporary setup files that are required to complete the instalation.
Have tried Fdisk, did not work. Same problem as above; the hard drive is in use yada yada yada!
So guys, I really need some help. What has happend, and what can I do?

I found something that can be interesting for you:
When you run the recovery cd you get the error message "wrong machine"
The Configuration Builder/Recovery CD looks for a specific DMI string
that identifies the model of computer you are using and compares it
to information on the CD. If these two do not match then the error
"wrong machine" occurs. Your Toshiba Authorized Service Provider can
fix an incorrect, corrupt or blank bios using a special diagnostics
tool to rewrite the DMI String.
If you are certain you have the correct Configuration Builder/
Recovery CD for your computer then you should contact your nearest
Toshiba Authorized Service Provider.
Maybe it can help you.

Phone speaker doesn't work, I'd not hear what another say

Today, after using the iphone 5 as usual, I found out that my phone speaker didn't work as I'd not hear any voice from it but another who talk to me could hear my voice. Also, I'd not hear the shutter sound when taking the picture,

Firefox will not go to any website (other than homepage - MSN), when program Net Nanny is enabled. I have to disable Net Nanny for Firefox to go to other websites. Do not have this issue with IE or Chrome. Solutions?

In order to uninstall a possibly unwanted extension, please do the following:
