Shure Music Phone adapter for iPhone

Is it just me, or is the Sure Music Phone adapter for iPhone not compatible with the iPhone 3G? I can't seem to get mine to go into the headset jack on the phone itself. It won't fully seat. It seems like it'll go halfway in and then get jammed. I know it's not a defective adapter because it worked with my original iPhone and still does (old one was given to my sister).
Any input/knowledge of this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Here is a link to the adapter for those who aren't quite sure what I'm talking about.

because the standard white headbuds suck more than a dyson vacuum cleaner when it come to any audiophile standards.
i have a set of shure E2C headsets that lock out noise from the outside.
i picked up a set of philips adapter from a local TARGET store that costs less than ten bucks...
look in their ipod section. it has the same smallish plug so it fits my 3G with no issues.
only problem is that my E2C comes with such a long cord that with the philips adapter, i have like cords all over the place...

  • The FREETALK Connect•Me Home Phone Adapter for Sky...

    Hi all,
I am seriously considering dropping my landline since I mostly if not only uses my iPhone as my primary device for calls. The problem I have is an alarm system is connected to my land line and requires a way to call the alarm centre in case of an emergency.
I talk to my alarm service provider for an alternative. They already have the cellular option, but it adds $12/m which is not a big saving... They are working on finding an IP/Internet solution, but it will be also a $4/m.
I was wondering if I could use the FREETALK Connect•Me Home Phone Adapter for Skype as a solution. From a computer I can call any 1-800 numbers for free, and I really suspect that the alarm centre is a toll free number too. So in theory it could work.
Can anyone share their experience with the device and suggest if my solution can work or not?
    Thanks

I use that adapter in my house, it works just as a normal landline would.  There is a slightly longer predial delay when initiating a call (approx 3 second Skype dialing noise), beyond that no real difference.  If the box doesn't lock up, or your Internet doesn't go down it should be rather reliable as a replacement.  Those are worst-case scenarios and I generally don't find myself having to do anything to maintain it.  In any case I have it connected to a power surge strip like I do the rest of my equipment.  Should I need to reset it, I just toggle the switch.

  • Is there an adapter For iPhone 5 to iPhone 4 Dock for audio?

Is there an adapter For iPhone 5 to iPhone 4 Dock for audio?

Yes from any Apple retail store .

The cheap rip off copies usually do not pass audio (usually buried in the tiny print )

  • Lightning to 30-pin Adapter for iPhone

I just got this and am disappointed to see that it doesn't work with Video. It does say this on the website, but I asked an apple person on the phone and she told me it might work. Anyways, it doesn't. I have an RCA cable that I could plug my old iphone 4s into and it would play video on my TV. Does anyone know how I would accomplish this with the iphone 5? it's for my car, not for my home, so using apple tv is not an option. one end of the cable is RCA (red, white, yellow) and the other is the old charging plug for the iphone 4.

If you're using a case on your iPhone 5, the problem may have something to do with the way your case was designed. Many of the most popular cases aren't compatible with the adapter becasue they prevent it from being flush with the bottom of your iPhone.
The workaround solutions are to cut out part of the bottom of your case so the dock connector will fit, or to exchange the adapter for the adapter cable, which is $10 more but plugs in to the bottom of your iPhone like the USB cable that came with it.
Personally, I just cut two small rubber parts of my case out (an Incipio DualPro that otherwise offers great protection, which I got at the local Verizon store). That solved the problem for me.

  • Life proof headphone adapter for iPhone 6

I purchased a Lifeproof case for my new iPhone 6. There is an adapter so that I may use my headphones while the case is in the phone. I misplaced the adapter that came with the case somewhere and need to purchase a new one. I have busted a few stores and they all say to use Lifeproof's online store. I did visit that online website.
MY question is: can I buy one of the adapter that says for "iPhone/iPod/iPad with this?
on their website there is one adapter for the iPhone 4/4S case, but it does not specify wether the other "general use" ones are for iPhone 5/5S/6
    will these other ones work?

    yes: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD823ZM/A/lightning-to-30-pin-adapter?fnode=c1 fd5998a5add284b377b89708e7d7b245158c8f47…

  • What is the best bose sounddock adapter for iphone 5

I am so diheartened that my wonderful bose docking system is not compatible to my new iphone 5 and the lightening adapter for £25 does not look to be very sturdy or even athsetic.  Ive heard they only work on analogue not digital.

Apple adapter works fine  ,mine does on Bose Sound Dock
If you have a Sound Dock 10 ,Bose do a Bluetooth receiver
which replaces the 30 pin plug built in
Beware cheap adapter knockoffs on e-bay

  • Lost Phone Icon for iPhone 4

I lost my phone icon for my iPhone 4. I tried a reset - holding the sleep button and bottom button. It rebooted, but the icon is still gone. Everything else is fine.  What do I need to do to get the phone icon back?

Did you possibly accidentally move the phone icon into one of your folders?  Can you still dial out using one of your contacts?  Check these things before restoring a backup from your itunes (assuming you made backups).

  • Head Phone jack for Iphone (Basically the grip of headphones)

Well to start off, when i first purchased my Iphone i was very surprised at how well the iphone held the headphone jack.At first it was a very difficult task to plug out my headphones(But i like it cus i knew it was a snug fit) but now ive realised that it doesnt take as much force to take the headphones out as before.
It actually seems alittle bit to easy to take out.
Now my concern is that ive had a similar dilema with my samsung mp3 player, but it got so worse that the player jus wouldnt hold the ehadphone jack.
Im wondering if Apple can replace the headphone port,to the nice Snug fit that it had before

Except for battery replacement, Apple doesn't provide any a-la-carte service for iPhone repairs - only full replacement of a phone with a refurb unit (free if under warranty). If not covered, there is a fee for the replacement: http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/service/faq/#warranty7
You can make an appointment with an Apple Store Genius Bar (http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/) to see if they feel it is due to defect, rather that normal wear.
It"s possible that the jack is less snug due to wear of the headset plug. Try another headset. Another alternative is an independent iPhone repair business which you can locate with Google. The downside is that the Apple warranty will be voided.

  • Factory Radio Car Adapter for iphone

I just purchased an ipod interface for factory GM Radio by Peripheral Electronics. It connects to the 30 pin connector on an ipod and plugs into an empty plug in the back of my factory radio.
I connected my iphone to it.I get the message "incompatible accessory would you like to turn airplane mode". I select no and the music begins playing through my factory radio. When I get a call the music stops playing and i hear the ringer through my car speakers. i Answer but the voice from the call only comes through the ear speaker not the car audio.
Now my actual question: Will it damage my iphone to use this product not in airplane mode even though it seems to work okay?

    russweb72,
I just got off the phone with Apple Care and they claim that if the accessory will work with an iPod then it will work with the iPhone's iPod functionality. I have a unit that operates exactly as you described but I was worried about the charging aspect. The Apple Care representative assured me that if the "lightning bolt" indicator is coming on then it is in fact charging the iPhone and everything should be fine.
I solved the problem of answering calls with the Apple Bluetooth Headset. Now when the call comes in, the music fades out and the ring is heard through the car speakers and a generic ring is heard in the headset. I press the button on the headset and talk away, when the call is ended with another push of the button, the music fades back in. I hope this helps.

  • Dual SIM adapter for iPhone 6

Wondering if using a dual SIM adapter from China could compromise security? Would be convenient to use  overseas since   T-Mobile provides free international  service, but need to have local SIM too so locals can call and text me without incurring international charges. Item is listed here: http://gusuxinchen.com/order/product_info.php?products_id=114

Thanks for all the insights which have made it easier for me to make a decision. Think I will just suspend my T-Mobile account for three months I will be overseas since T-Mobile says expected data speed overseas is just 128kbps, huh, not enough for much more than reading email and light internet surfing, and calls are 20 cents a minute unless on WIFI, great if I were going to Mexico for one week, but not for extended stay. I have an unlocked iPhone and bought a LTE SIM card already for the country I am visiting, and unlimited data is available on the carriers prepaid plan for just $1.00 a day or $23 for the 30 day plan. Have already changed all important my personal contact phone numbers of record to VOIP:  Skype, Google Voice, even Comcast. The suspension of my T-Mobile account will more than pay for my local SIM on the data plan. Thanks for everyone taking time to read this.

  • Phone Adapter for Sony Clock Radio

I recently purchased a Sony model ICF-C8WM clock radio along with a walkman player. Since both docking connectors are exposed when I am using the Walkman device, I would also like to take advantage of the phone dock. I would switch my phone to a Sony Ericsson except for the fact that your brand of phone is not produced for the Verizon Wireless network. Is there some type of adapter device available that would allow me to couple my LG phone with the phone dock? I know this is a tough one but I just wondered if you know of such a device. Thanks. A. Sirull

    Thank you for your post.
Unfortunately, there is no optional adapter that will connect a none Sony Ericsson Phones to the Speaker Dock Clock.
