Shut down of forte'

Question

Is there a way to programmatically shut down a Forte' application with a
batch file?
During a fail over of a Digital cluster, the Oracle connection is not
getting resolved correctly unless we stop and reload the application.
Any ideas?

Hello John,
There is a way using Forte system agents.
On a ProcessAgent there is the command ShutDown you are
looking for.
The idea could be to browse Forte environnement adding in
an array reference to ProcessAgent under ActivePartitionAgent.
After what you are able to apply ShutDown command on any
ProcessAgent you want.
Note that at PartitionAgent level, in the Forte agent tree,
you are able to Startup and ShutDown any defined partition.
So, if you are'nt in autostart mode, you are able to explicitly
start a partition with a monitoring application you could develop.
