There is a small internal battery that needs to be replaced.
Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider. You may have to leave the machine there for several days.
Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional—ask if you need guidance.
If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to an empty drive from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.
Keeping your confidential data secure during hardware repair
Apple also recommends that you deauthorize a device in the iTunes Store before having it serviced.
*An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed.

Mid 2010 Macbook Pro 13" sudden shutdown with no errors
I have a mid 2010 Macbook Pro 13" 2.66 GHz with 2x4GB of Crucial RAM, the original 320GB HDD and running OS X 10.10.1; however, this problem has already been bugging me back when I had Mavericks. For about a year and a half now my laptop would suddenly shutdown with a click sound. It first only did it about once every couple of weeks but now it'll sometimes do it within five minutes of turning it on. Sometimes it'll last a couple hours, and other times it'll last 5 seconds. It's not temperature related, because it'll do it whether it has just been turned on or been on for over an hour. I reset the PRAM and SMC, but that didn't fix it. I ran tests with Disk Utility and it said there were some issues with the disk. Disk Utility wasn't able to do it, so I repaired it with fsck in Single User Mode. I thought this was finally going to work, but within 15 minutes it shut down again. Finally I ran the Apple Hardware Test and put it through the extensive test. After it was done running, it said that everything was ok. So according to that there should be nothing wrong with the internal hardware. I would check in the console logs, and it would give me -2 and -60 for "Previous shutdown cause: ". At this point I have no idea what could be causing the problems.
I took it in to the Genius Bar over the weekend, and they ran their tests on it. It passed with flying colors; including the battery, which is doing quite well for its age. So with that being said, they said that the problem is probably with the logic board since everything else came back ok. At this point, I am better off investing in a new computer since a new logic board goes for $400 without labor, and that is if the problem really is only with the logic board since that was their best guess, not definitive.

Two deductions for invoice with same reason code posted as one line item
Hi
We have a scenario wherein we are taking two or more deductions on the same invoice and are using the same reason code which have a setting of charge off.
SAP system displays the FI posting with same reason codes with charge off setting as one line item.
However we want the FI Posting to display separate line items per deduction and not combine amounts of deductions based on same reason code with charge off setting.
Any comments are appreciated.
Edited by: Kirti Bhardwaj on Jul 24, 2011 9:46 AMHi,
you can use different reason codes in distribute differences screen once you have fist selected one reason code for one invoice. -
Multiple Orders with Different reasons on a Single day
Hi,
I am recently learning Device Management of IS-U Electricity. Now I have a problem with meter reading orders generated at the time of periodic meter reading with reason 01 and different system generated orders with reasons like 22, 21 , 16 and 11 which are the orders get created internally based on device replacement and modification.
If the scheduled meter reading date lies on the day or the day before of device replacement or modification, the meter reading for the periodic order is getting prorated based on the meter reading entered at the time of replacement or modification. This is what I dont want.
Is it possible to have multiple orders with different reasons on the same date? Any configuration changes are welcome.
- ArghyaHi,
You can acheive this using following config changes.
SAP Utilities --> Device Managment -->Meter Reading --> Meter Reading Order -->Order Creation --> Define Automatic Interpolation for Meter Reading Reason.
Uncheck the 'Auto Interpolation' flag for Meter Reading reason 01.
This will not use the Replacement or Modifiaction read.
Let me know if anything more is reuiqred.
Thanks and Regards,
Ranjit Thakur. -

it seems to be a trouble with server performance pack. Try to DISABLE performance pack on your server and restart (unckeck "Native IO Enabled" on your domain"). You can also found some suggestions on http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs92/messages/Socket.html (check for "BEA-000414" message).

First noted while running Mavericks, my Mac-Mini will not shutdown. It just hangs on a black screen with the little icon. I created a clean user account and the problem went away. Rather than do a fresh install of Mavericks, I waited until Yosemite came out. I reformatted the drive and did a fresh Yosemite install. I then restored my apps and data only to find the problem is still present. I've also tried stopping many of the applications I would normally expect might cause the problem with no luck. And I tried the one Yosemite suggestion regarding deleting the Library/Caches folder content with no luck.
My naive question: following the fresh install of Mavericks, should I have done a re-install of my (very many) applications instead of a restore from an image?
I've tried looking at the system logs after I've forced a shutdown with the power button but there's nothing I could find that shows any problems.
Any other suggestions of things to try would be appreciated.Hi,
Thanks.
It is running 10.5.8.
I am trying to boot up an external drive with 10.5.8 on it. It works on my Macbook Pro which is running 10.5.8, runs on my IMAC running SL. But doesnt work on the mac mini?
It had been running SL, however there are a number of programs I have like Windows Live Sync which are not yet compatable with SL so i downgraded to 10.5.6 which came with the Mac Mini then loaded all updates.
It seems to just go into an auto reboot as soon as i click on it.
i thought it might be the firmware? Is it possible to downgrade them and then re-install?
I have reset the PRAM.
Any help would be appreciated.

We've installed a new Audiocodes Mediant 1000B gateway for our customer. They only have about 6 users enabled for Enterprise voice and using Lync for all calls. They have an intermittent problem whereby the first call attempt to a number on the
PSTN fails with 12000; reason="Routes available for this request but no available gateway at this point". There is only one PSTN gateway installed. All routes point to this gateway. What I found initially is that the calls
were failing after 10 seconds which is the default "failovertimeout" in the OutboundRouting.exe.config. I found this post http://voipnorm.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/lync-2010-gateway-timeout-call-failures.html and
changed the value to 20 seconds. Subsequent failures failed after 20 seconds (the new value). The interesting thing is that the second attempt even a couple of seconds later succeeds. My Lync server event log has 46046 "A call to a PSTN
number failed due to non availability of gateways." for the failed call and 46047 "A PBX gateway is now responding to requests after some failures." for the successful call moments later.
My environment is Lync 2010. A single enterprise edition Front End with collocated mediation. The server is virtual and in a different physical location to the gateway. The two sites are connected via a LES1000. The RTT between the
sites is very low so it isn't necessarily networking.
In the Syslog output on the Audiocodes we don't see the call even reach the gateway. It's likely that Lync has simply marked the gateway as down and doesn't route the first call. Then it wakes up and marks it as up and routes the next call.
Update wise I'm on 4.0.7577.183, 199 and 217 for those that are up to date and the only components that are behind say that 223 is available. Those being Core Components, Lync Server, Conferencing Server and Web Components.
As I said, this is intermittent, apparently doesn't happen for every user (which I don't buy), but is easily replicated on request.
I definitely think changing the failovertimeout value has reduced the number of failures. But realistically I don't want users sitting there for 20 seconds before their call fails. Or 19 seconds for the call to route.
I've found a few posts on this and similar issues. I don't get the 25051 or 25052 errors.
Any help gratefully appreciated.

Tecra S2: strange dots on screen appearing with no reason and at random
Hello,
I have a Toshiba Tecra S2 laptop for almost a year now.
I formatted it 2 months ago and when i did this. i had stranges dots on my screen, appearing with no reason and at random. I dont have a clue where it came from and i decided to format my computer again.
I've installed the latest chipset driver from the intel website and then i've installed the latest driver from the toshiba site.
I've noticed the problem is back. so that didn't solve anything. What can I do about this?
PS, not only the dots, but i cant play games also.HI Jelle,
When you say that you formatted your notebook, did you completely re-install the operating system from the recovery discs ? If you did then the display should work correctly.
If you installed the operating system from Microsoft discs then you will need to download the correct Toshiba drivers for your Tecra from the Toshiba web site download page.

The Battery in my laptop has been replaced twice and this is the third time the battery has swollen up.
Since the first time it was swollen I have asked the reason but Apple has not come up with a reason and just replaced it.
Second time also the service centre replaced the battery but were unable to give me a reason.
I had asked them to replace the laptop as this has been happening repeatedly and seems to be something with the laptop
otherwise why should every battery they put swell ?
This is the third time this has happened. And now they refuse to replace the battery or the laptop also.
What is the solution?Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store and press the problem. Elevate to store manager if necessary. Maybe the charging circuits are defective resulting in overcharging which is causing the battery problem.

Photos erased in catalog = loss of hundreds of treatments with no reason
Hi,
In the last three days, I lost hundreds of treatments. The photos from my folder disapeared with no reason.
I have to import them again (they are on the hard drive) and work again on treatments !!!! I just lost a lot of time for nothing.
I am using LR for years and it is the first time that it happens.
Do you have any ideas how I can solve that ?
Thanks all for your help !!!
VincentEcole autour du monde,
Normally, LR does not loose edits. Nor does it loose photos. In the past when someone on this forum complained of "lost" things in LR the cause has always been that something was done - mostly outside of LR. In your initial post you wrote: "In the last three days, I lost hundreds of treatments."
I am confident that the cause for this is not some strange behaviour in LR, but something that you did - although inadvertently.
Apart from the possibilities discussed so far there are the following possible causes:
a) In the Library Module if <Reset all> has been selected.
b) In the Library Module or in the Develop Module if the Preset <General Zeroed> has been selected.
c) If you are running Windows XP (I haven't checked that in Win 7 yet) and you do a <Restore>, your catalog will also be set back to the time of the Restore Point unless the catalog resides on a different physical drive than the OS, and Restore has been disabled for this drive.

I have a old T40 with windows XP. Recently my DVD start ejecting with no reason. any solution?
Cow
Thinpad T40 + X100e(athlon Dual core L335, window 7 home premium)It's very possibe you have a failing optical drive, I suggest you substitute a known good drive. If you don't have one I might be willing to loan you one if you cover the postage, or would be glad to let you keep it if you have something of equal value to trade.
If you'd like my help, feel free to send me a PM.
Also, if you want to rule out the possibility of a sofrware error, you can boot the system from a linux liveCD, if it boots up and runs fineusing linux, then your problem is likely software, but the simpliest solution would be to swap out the drive.

Rewire won't work with Logic + Reason
I started a project with Logic + Reason and everything was working fine. But then one day it stopped working.
1. It'll work without Rewire (just a mixer in Reason)
2. The Aux channels on the Logic mixer don't indicate any levels.
3. The level indicators on the Hardware Device in Reason aren't indicating any signal
4. Rewire DID work one day after it wasn't working but now it isn't again.
5. I've tried restarting my computer and even changing my audio device to "Built-In Audio"
Why won't rewire work?
Message was edited by: RyConn M.D.I have been having this same problem. One time Rewire will work and the next try it won't. I found that Logic will not see the Rewire channels when you go to add an Aux channel in the mixer screen. If you see the Rewire channels in this section, then Rewire will work. If not then Rewire will not see Reason and it will not function. It just started happening for me this last week or so. I wonder if Apple made some sort of change that is causing this problem. I never had a problem with Reason before this last week or so. It was always a really solid program interface before this. I am getting frustrated. I have reloaded Reason and Logic with no change. AI deleted the rewire files in the library. It may then function once and then it goes bad again. Can anyone Help Us?

BAPI for Posting through FBS1 with reversal reason & reversal Date
All Experts,
Can I use BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST for posting in FBS1 with reversal reason & reversal date? I can't find such option in the BAPI. If not, can you suggest other BAPI that I can use to perform posting with reversal reason & reversal date?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Azad. You need to use RFBIBL00, create a file to be consumed by it and it will create a session variable that can be run by SM35
