Shuts down when try to export

I have Xcelsius Engage 2008 and had no problems until recently. When I try to export to Powerpoint (2003), Powerpoint opens but immediately Xcelsuis shuts down...I get a box saying Xcelsius must shut down. Nothing is exported. My dashboard has one chart with 4 combo boxes. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling the software but it does the same thing. I'm desperate, help!

What has changed on your pc/laptop recently?
A workaround is to export your dashboard to .swf and manually insert the file into Powerpoint:
1. Right Click on your Powerpoint toolbar and select Control Toolbox
2. Click on the More Controls Icon
3. Select Shockwave Flash Object
4. Right Click on the object and select Properties
5. In the Movie or MovieData (cannot remember which) properties paste in the full path of your saved swf file
6. Change the EmbedMovie property to True
Remember though that the dashboard will only show/work when you run the presentation.

Xcelsius shuts down when trying to export

I have Xcelsius 2008 and when I open a file I get an error message that says "An encryption policy is set up for drive %c". It I select No to get through the error it allows me to open the file but when I try to export, Xcelsius just shuts down on me. No matter what I try to export to, it shuts down. This happens on all my dashboards no matter how simple they are.
I have tried uninstalling and installing Xcelsius and Microsoft Office but nothing has helped.
If you can't help, will I be able to get help by puchasing a support session (and how do I do that?)

Rebecca, did you find out what was causing this issue? I have recently come accross the same problem..think mine might be related to using Utimaco encryption software on my local drive when the password changes?

Premier Pro Shuts Down when trying to EXPORT

I am a new editor, only at it for a couple month now. The problem I have is when I attempt to export, Adobe closes without warning.
I have exported in the past, what I do is, set a work area or just highlight a clip, go to FILE: EXPORT: ADOBE MEDIA ENCODER. I have had no problems until a couple days ago. Now when I click ADOBE MEDIA ENCODER the program closes completely and shuts down.
I am using a MATROX RTX2 and the same thing happens when I try to export using MATROX MEDIA ENCODER.
I can however export just using MOVIE but it looks like crap and I am using HDV..
Help?? Suggestions?

Thanks, I'll have to give that a try if there isn't an easier answer out there somewhere. If I pull the card will I have to reload the software and drivers?
If my project is saved and I have a copy of the project saved will I be able to reload Adobe without losing anything? What I mean is will I be able to just import my whole project once reloaded?
I just don't understand what could have happened, since I was doing this with no problem a couple of days ago.

IBook Shuts Down When Try To Wake From Sleep

I have an iBook 300 that will work perfectly fine while you use it. When you put it to sleep, it sleeps normally, but when I try to wake it the sleep light goes out, nothing shows on screen, I can hear the hard drive spinning and then it shuts down. When I turn it back on, it works normally until I try to put it to sleep. Any idea what is wrong and how I could fix it? Thanks

When you put it to sleep, it sleeps normally...
Is this by closing the lid? How about when you choose 'Sleep' from the menu and then close the lid? How about when just choosing 'Sleep' from the menu and waking it by pressing any key?
If the problems occur only with the lid then it may be a glitch in the lid mechanism ...if otherwise then it may be a system error. If you're running Tiger then it may be a little difficult to source any support for your ibook as Tiger is officially not to be run on it.
Maybe you can live with it the way it is?

HELP Program shuts down when try to capture video

Every time I click on capture the program shuts down. I've used this program many times with no problem but now it won't even reconize my camera. And when I try to capture it shuts down completely. Anyone know what to do?

There is nothing wrong with FCE 2 as a program - it should not be necessary to upgrade it.
Have you tried plugging and unplugging the FireWire cable from both the computer and the camera.
Also see if iMovie will recognise the camera. if it won't you will know the problem is probably not the fault of FCE.
It is also possible that FCE may be corrupted in which case you should re-install it after having first uninstalled it by deleting ALL the files listed in this article:-

Safari 5.1 Shuts Down When Try To Print after upgrade to Lion

As soon as I upgraded to Lion - I noticed that if I try to print anything in Safari - it shuts down
I can use Firefox perfectly - but not Safari
I have uninstalled all extensions, and checked through my plugins, but still same problem
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I actually found out what was causing the crash. I had default folder X program running great on snow leopard before I upgraded to lion. Once I upgraded I didnt even think to check it for compatibility since it didnt show up in the dialog box when lion first launched as an incompatible program. It makes sense though since when I hit command+p to print it brings up a dialog box and default folder X is all about dialog boxes. When I uninstalled default folder X Safari worked perfectly - so I went to the developers site - they have a brand new version that is fully compatible - I downloaded it and everything is great. That was the culprit

i use log and transfer it plays the clip but when try to add to queue fce shuts down
works fine with imovie08 not fce4

Mac Computer shuts down when rendering or exporting

I have an early 2013 Macbook pro and i am working on my first project in Premeire Pro CC. My computer turns off (like if it was a plugged in device and power would go out) every time I try to render my timeline or export my finished project.
any ideas???

Safari shuts down when try to open a web site

I have a wifi only iPad which seems to have lost its' ability to access the internet. Whenever I open Safari and try to access a web site it closes without any messages. The same thing happens if I try to access the App Store. None of my apps can access the internet.
I have done all of the obvious things:
Tried turning it on and off (alone and after each of the below steps)
Clearing Safaris' history, cookies and cache
I am connected to my network and have no issues using my wireless network to connect to the internet from my Mac
The signal is fine - the iPad is currently 30cm from the router
Reset the network settings
I am hoping someone has a solution to save me from a trip to my (not so local) Apple store.

I'm have the exact same issues, every app that acceses the internet closes in a flash! Open Safari? BAM it's gone. Open Mail? BAM it's gone. It started yesterday and since then I've tried everything, wifi off, power off and on, hard reset, restore a back-up from iTunes, nothing to that point. Then I noticed the update from 4.3.3 to 4.3.4, I had high hopes that it would fix the problem, but sadly not. My iPad is practicaly unusable right now.
To be more specific, it happens on my iPad 1 WiFi 16GB running 4.3.2/4.3.3/4.3.4 with 6GB of free storagespace and no apps loaded in the background or with strange exotic plug-ins installed.
This is not a minor glitch, it disables me from using it.
Please help us solve this problem, all I got from several expert forums is.. Memory problem, bla bla.

Have you tried closing the Photos app completely and then re-opening it ? From the home screen (i.e. not with Photos 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Photos app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.

You need to adjust your security stuff/ permissions and possibly use compatibility modes. It means that your licensing service is being blocked/ shut down.

That is very interesting in that my iPhone was exhibiting similar behavior with the "blue screen of death" with Pages a few months ago. An update for Pages came out and when I installed the update, the problem disappeared.
Is Pages completely updated on your iPad? Do you use iCloud with Pages? If you use iCloud, try turning it off. settings>Pages>Use iCloud>Off. You will not lose your documents since they will still be in iCloud even if you turn that off on your iPad.

My CS4 keeps shutting down when I try to use it,why?

How can I stop my CS4 from shutting down when I try to save or even open a file in it?
I have tried resetting the preferences file. This worked once but so far has not worked again(I found this solution just by googling). It is obviously a common problems but I cannot find a solution that works or an explanation as to why it happens.
Please could someone at least explain what causes it? And preferably how to fix it?
It cost a lot of money and I don' yet understand why I should lose the right to have a functional programme. I'm not interested in having any new features etc. It takes me ages to work out how to do easy thing each time a new programme comes out!
