SICF services required for e-mail functionality in Web IC

We are running a web ic in CRM 2007 sp4
I have inbound e-mails coming through our inbox in our web ic. However as soon as i trying to process the e-mails from the inbox i'm getting errors. No mail body text is visible in email component and when i try and forward an e-mail or create a new e-mail i get a JRE error (buttom-left of IE).
Can anyone tell me what services need to be enabled for email functionality to work?
Or can anyone recommend any other soultion to this issue

Also please explore the option of "Email Response management system" in SPRO for advance email service settings.
1. assign different agents to different e-mail addresses: It will be configurable.
2. different signatures when writing e-mail need different editor profiles (default signatures)? so also need different IC profile?
Yes you will need different IC profiles and assign it to the group of agents who would comply to it.
3. outbound e-mails -> Told you what i believe shoudl work.
4. how many services (tcode SICF) and how many SAPconnect nodes are needed to be able in ICWin to receive e-mails for 10 email addresses and distribute e-maild to different agents like I wrote in point 1. ?
ONLY one SAPConnect node.
5. incoming e-mails: We really need tyo check the ACTIVITY Type: Incoming email.
6. in ICwin user can search in e-mails with key words? for eg "problem with ht-1000"?
I m really not sure, as we are maintaing an Activity for Incoming or outgoing email, we should be able to search an Activity for BP (that activity can have email details).
7. incoming e-mails can have attachements? attachements will also get to ICWin with email? user will be able to open it?
Yes however for opening attachments you may have internet security concerns of the enterprise where SAP is implemented. It can be easily handled by networking people.

so we currently have three domain controllers set up, two of them on 2012r2 and one of them on 2008r2. prior to any of these domain controllers being added to the domain there was only one, running on 2003r2. the 2003r2 server was up and running when the
first 2012r2 was added and that's when running 'dcdiag /e /c /v' would yield an issue with "_ldap._tcp.9a5f3c17-e7ac-48f7-ab42-bf1ea621a6f5.domains._msdcs.cmedia.local" in the DNS portion of the diagnostics, specifically:

The "DcByGuid" DNS service (SRV) resource record that advertises this server as an available domain controller in the domain and ensures correct replication is not registered. All domain controllers (but not RODCs) in the domain must register this record.
Impact:
Other member computers and domain controllers in the domain or forest will not be able to locate this domain controller. This domain controller will not be able to provide a full suite of services.
Resolution:
Ensure that "DcByGuid" is not configured in the "DnsAvoidRegisteredRecords" list, either through Group Policy or through the registry. Restart the Netlogon service. Verify that the DNS service (SRV) resource record "_ldap._tcp.9a5f3c17-e7ac-48f7-ab42-bf1ea621a6f5.domains._msdcs.cmedia.local", pointing to the local domain controller "CM-DC4-NY01.cmedia.local", is registered in DNS.

I've tried scanning and then re-scanning every single entry in DNS Manager and do not see any reference to this specific GUID mentioned, nor do I see any other domain controllers referenced that should not be in there. The two 2012r2 and the 2008r2 domain
controllers are the only ones listed in DNS Manager... the 2003r2 mentioned earlier failed and was removed.

Just to chime in, I noticed that you said you have one 2008 R2 DC, and two 2012 DCs.
I also noticed in the ipconfig /all that all DCs are pointint to themselves for DNS. We usually like to see them point to a partner, then itslelf as the second entry, w hether loopback or by its own IP.
Based on that, what I suggest to level the playing field by choosing the WIndows 2008 R2 DC as the first DNS on all DCs and only administer DNS using that DC. The reason I chose that is because of the least common denominator is what we rather use so we
don't invoke any new features in the newer 2012 DNS console that 2008 R2 may not understand. After that's done, on each DC run (and you can use a PowerShell window to run this):
Rename the system32\config\netlogon.dns and netlogon.dnb files by suffixing ".old" to the file.
ipconfig /registerdns
net stop netlogon
net start netlogon
Then re-run the dcdiag /e /c /v.

I thought the DNS entries were supposed to be the other way around? point to themselves first and a partner as secondary? regardless, as requested, I've changed it to what you've prescribed where they point to the 2008r2 server as the primary with themselves
as the secondary. I've also followed the steps to what seems like refreshing the DNS? on each of the DCs. Here's the output from dcdiag /e /c /v

Making a flexfield segment 'required' for a particular function

How do we make a flexfield segment 'required' for a particular function.
I don't want to make this field required from core applications(System administrator), but only for a function.

I understand that this is a issue, as a workaround you can do this for your page alone.
1. Get the handle to the flex bean segment in your page
2. make it required.
This is what the devguide says
1. Find the flex bean by attribute name and call processFlex() on the flex bean.
2. Call getIndexedChild(int) to extract the TextBeans from the flex bean and do whatever you want.

Sorry, that is not correct. SQL components beyond Database Services are required in most circumstances.

As a matter of practice, I always install all BizTalk realted SQL Server features, even if they are not used. This is for consistency across environments, reliable patching and to accomodate any future BizTalk app features.

Requirements for the development of ABAP web services...

Recently at TechEd in Vienna I saw a demo of the development of an ABAP service. It all looked fairly easy, so when I came back I decided to try it out for myself. However, this mission seems to be compromised by the development environment not playing along. I've tried to encapsulate a small RFC function module inside af service on an IDES ECC 6.0 system and that went fairly well until I wanted to test the service.
At some point it is understood that one should setup a reference to a J2EE system in the WSADMIN transaction and that caused me some troubles as it looks like the IDES system that I tried it on doesn't have a java stack. How could I check whether that is true? I then tried to test the service directly under maintain service within WSADMIN and it sends me a popup screen and asks me to logon. After logging on the browser claims an internal error has happened.

Hello,
For creating and hosting ABAP web Services, you do not need JAVA stack. However, for testing Web Services using Web Service Navigator (from SOAMANAGER), you need J2EE stack.
If you are invoking Web Service from SOAPUI, .NET or some other third party tool, you need to create End Point for the service using SOAMANAGER and provide the Porttype WSDL to the third party system.

Design Suggestions Required for Message Center functionality

I am looking for some suggestion, for one of the requirement for my customer.
Requirement is as below.
Customer wants to have a Message Center, where in, user will be able to send a message to another another user with some content and with or without attachment. they should be able to send multiple attachment as well.
The message which users are sharing with each other should be in the conversation mode. Like for One topic or subject if a users ha sent a message to another user, the same content should be in the conversation mode and an email should be sent to other users
with he content and attachments.
In addition to above, all the messages exchanged should be stored below in the tabular format.

Discussion board does serves the purpose. But how we can control the item level permission. For example, if we wantto show items which are relevant to user who is logged in, i mean show items based on the logged in user ?

Services required for Gobi 3G 2000 / GPS

Does anyone know which specific services are required to allow for the GPS to function? I believe I may of accidentally killed one of them when I was trimming services for quicker boot times.

The GOBI hardware supports both CDMA/EV-DO and GSM/UTMS/HSPA carrier networks, but the issue is that corresponding laptop client software is needed to configure and authenticate the laptop to your account on the carrier's network. CDMA networks do not use SIM cards; they rely on an identifier number "burned into" the adapter (ESN/MEID). While it's technically possible to use another carrier network, the only CDMA network in the USA that will work with the ThinkPad's GOBI card is Verizon, not Sprint. I assume this is contractual between Lenovo and Verizon.
The phrase "Open SIM" means that the ThinkPad has an empty GSM SIM slot. If you ordered the laptop with the AT&T option, as I did, it would have come with an AT&T SIM card, which is easily removeable (under the battery). This SIM can be activated with a data plan. You could also obtain a SIM from AT&T, download their Windows client, and use the adapter with AT&T if you prefer. Note that when the AT&T SIM is installed, the Verizon option won't appear, and when the AT&T SIM is removed, the Verizon client option re-appears and the AT&T option disappears. There is nothing else in the laptop's "build" preventing you from using either carrier, regardless of how you ordered it.
I have no idea if other countries' wireless carriers support the GOBI adapter in the ThinkPad. Keep in mind that you cannot simply insert any carrier's SIM and expect it to work. It isn't a cell phone. You also need to have subscribed or prepaid to a DATA plan with the carrier, and that carrier has to have a GOBI Windows software client to install on the ThinkPad.

Is the SCCM Client a requirement on the SCCM 2012 Site Server or Site Systems or is it possible to disable SMS Agent Host Service or uninstall the client without affecting any of the Site roles? I have actually done that and everything
is working as expected but I wanted to make sure that none of the site roles are dependent on the client agent.

i ve implemented some php web services. One of them is ManagePatientsImpl.php class
and the corresponding ManagePatients.wsdl.
How can deploy it? What are the files required apart from them?
In addition there are some GUI-files. Should these files be deployed together?

Server Requirements for Launching J2EE Application on web

I am new to web technologies, I apologize if I am asking a very basic question. I have a developed a J2EE Web Application for Online Assessment. I use Tomcat as server and MySQL database. I am expecting around 1000 users to simultaneously undergo our assessment. The assessment is a computerized adaptive assessment. For running the statistical calculation, I am keeping some information in the User Session, which will be around 10 Kilobytes per user.
I was trying to understand what would be the minimum system requirements (on processing speed and ram) for supporting this application.
Is storing more information of Session could be a bottle neck for me in supporting maximum concurrent users?

You should just be able to put the SWF and wrapper HTML file
on the server, and it just "serves" the swf and wrapper file. I
don't think there is anything else you need, unless you are using
LifeCycle DS.
