Sick to death of BT
Yet again I have another fault. This time it's my phone.
I can't make or receive calls so I ring to report it on my mobile and I'm charged premium rates for a dreadful automated service which needlessly takes me round in circles by repeating the same options. When I ring the alternative number I'm told I'm not a BT customer (I wish..! but I have to pay a penalty to leave). So I ring the 0800 number again and pay premium rates AGAIN to wait in a queue..!
I'm about 6 months into a 2 year contract with BT and I rue the day I went back to them.
My kids can no longer use the Wii online because my broadband speed is constantly buffering, never a problem whilst I was with Talktalk, and I now pay twice as much for the privilige.
I constantly have to reset my router as the orange flashing light appears about three times a day.
As soon as I leave the house my phone picks up my neighbours Wifi and I have to re-connect to my Wifi every time I come back in.
I am absolutely fed up to the back teeth with BT, I'm worse off financially for a far, far poorer service.

I would be very grateful if you could as I am utterly fed up with BT.
I have sent in another fault report.
We have an intermittent fault on our line.
I have had this problem since I have been with BT and it has got worse.
When it rains the line is very crackly.
We have had two engineers out to us.
The first told us the fault was 340 yards down the road but couldn't fix it and would call again the following day.
So the following day another engineer called and said the line was perfect and didn't know what the first engineer had done but he must have fixed it so the fault was closed.
The fault wasn't fixed so I had to reinstate the original fault. An engineer was supposed to call this morning but didn't show up. No one has even bothered to contact me.
When I call BT I have to go through the whole process of being on hold for 30 mins. I am at the point of refusing to pay my bill as my phone is mostly unusable and my broadband is at a snails pace.
I am utterly fed up with this company. It's no wonder they can sponsor Comic Relief.
I expect my Broadband to drop out shortly and my phone line to go down over the weekend.
Can you give me one good reason why I should continue to pay my bill?

AVOID BT BROADBAND LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!... I'm sick to death of BT's apalling broadband which is not fit for purpose and the response of BT to my multiple requests for support and rectification. Since November my service has bern dropping or so slow that pages don't load and when they eventually do they can take up to 20 seconds! No chance of syreaming anything to watch either and its meany that my mobile phones have gone out of data allowance so mot onlu am I paying through the nose for a rubbish service but I'm paying extra for good mobile providers because BT broadband is so $@$£¥₩(. To compound this I have spent literally hours attempting to wade through the constant b%_€£_$@@×!!!! After 6 months of rubbish at nearly £40 per month I have been offered just over £4 compensation! $@÷=^£¥₩₩&^@!! Rubbish rubbish rubbish! And to make matters worse I could have avoided it all by asking friends and family about BT's broadband service as not one of them has a good thing to say about it. No-one I know uses BT broadband any more and now I know why. AVOID BT BROADBAND LIKE THE PLAGUE!
I advise you go and post your problems on the bt broadband forum and someone might be able to help you. It sounds like a line problem and it does not matter which isp you move to as it is on the same network.

Time machine sick to death of it!
I am absolutely sick and tired of trying to create a back up. I have been endevouring to do this all year.. and still I am no further forward. I have a Mybooklive attached to my Netgear. I have wiped it clean and started again. .. and STILL I dont seem to have a successful back up on there. It is driving me to distraction. I get the following errors...
this back up started on March 9 - it seems to stop and restart each time the amount to be backed up reduces... until it gets to say 2gb..

I tried at one stage to go in and edit as per another post on here using terminal.. got stuck at a particular stage and gave up as noone responded how to help.
I just want a back up. Western Digital have offered to replace my hard drive - but it will be a reconditioned one and not a new one..
I just hate it.That's a different problem. It's getting a negative value for the estimate of what's changed and needs to be backed-up!
Start by Verifying your internal HD to be sure it's not a directory problem. See #6 inUsing Disk Utility if you're not sure how to do that.
Then check your exclusions in Time Machine Prefs > Options. Make sure there isn't any overlap (such as excluding both a folder and a file or sub-folder inside it, separately).
Then do a "full reset" of Time Machine, per #A4 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting, to be sure the file where the exclusions are kept isn't corrupted.
If none of that helps, your installation of OSX may be damaged. Try installing the "combo" update, per Installing the ''combo'' update and/or Reinstalling OSX.
If still no help, install a fresh copy of OSX (that won't disturb anything else), per the same article.
Thanks Pondini -verifying Tick. Nothing in exclusions -tick. Full reset tick. Haven't installed Lion as it really isn't happy with a Western Digital so I've been told so kept to snow leopard for now. This is what is going on now....

Sick to death of export issues in Premiere Pro CC
I waste so much time with random errors exporting from premiere.
The most recent issue being it decides to randomly not export audio from tracks 2 and 3. It begins fine then out of the blue drops the 2nd and 3rd tracks, track 1 remains audible. The worst part about this is that there is no way to know if it will happen until the full render is complete. The first time it happened I was doing a batch export of 7 videos in Media Encoder. It rendered the first video in its entirety fine, the following 6 video all dropped the 2 or 3rd track randomly during the export. So the next day I began exporting them all one at a time with good results until I got to the 4th video and it did it again. I am re rendering without the media encoder now but I don't have much expectation for that result as when I don't use media encoder the program often returns a "Error compiling movie. Unknown Error." right at the end of the render.
I also can't render .mov files to any other drive than the local D drive and only through Media Encoder.
I have been a Premiere user for some 15 years and I have to say this new Creative Cloud is the most frustrating and time consuming product I have ever come across in terms of rendering a final product.

evga gtx760I have to applaud your thoroughness in testing and detail in writing this up.
Unfortunately I may not be of much assistance. I have to assume (by your thoroughness) that all machines are running the same OS version. If that is the case, you certainly seem to have isolated the problem to either the 2012 Mac hardware (iMac or Ethernet chipset) or the specific Ethernet drivers for that model.
Chances are, since PPro 7.2.1 works in the environment on other Macs, it is actually a Mac/Editshare problem. -
Just sick to death of shared printing issues
I have two printers connected to my G4 server upstairs.
I have an iMac and an iBook.
The iBook can print to the IP4000 printer no problem, but if I try and print to the IP3000 I get a message about I have selected the wrong paper size. I have not, everything is set to A4 as is should be.
From the iMac I can print to the IP3000 no problem, however from Microsoftw word when I select print, the programme crashes. I frequently get issues in other apps about error printing.
On the G4 server I installed both printers just the once, yet after a few weeks there are loads of duplicates in the print/Fax pref, ip4000 then 1-ip4000 repeated 10 times, same for the IP3000.
No one appears to have an answer, I cannot make head nor tail of CUPs, or the console.
Please someone help! I thought shared printing was easy, how wrong I was!i was told by the engineer from where i live i should get between 3 and 4mb,i have only moved up the road from where i was living before,i'll post those stats to you now,thanks for your help.

Sick to Death of "None of your preferred networks are available."
I have a MacBook Air and an AirPort Extreme base station which is roughly four feet away. Why is it that I am constantly being disconnected from my wireless network and seeing garbage like "None of your preferred networks are available." (when my wireless network is listed RIGHT THERE IN THE DIALOG BOX) and "connection timeout" after only 3 seconds when trying to reconnect?
I have tried all sorts of things: Deleting items from the keychain and recreating them; changing the channel number of my wireless network; adding SystemUIServer and Apple80211Agent to my keychain items for the network; you name it, I've tried it. And STILL my notebook with Leopard 10.5.2 can't stay connected to the network, and has a devil of a time getting reconnected. None of my other wireless devices (Xbox 360, Roku SoundBridge Radio, iPhone) has difficulty connecting or staying connected, so the fault obvious lies with Leopard.
Apple: *WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO FIX THIS?* I know that many, many others have run into this before, so it's not just me.REALLY!
Yes, I've read all about the workarounds and fixes, none of which work to any great degree, and ALL of which should be UNNECESSARY.
Here's the thing:
*The main advertising thrust of Apple is that their stuff simply WORKS.*
The whole point of wireless access is to be able to connect anywhere it is available! If I can't take my laptop to Starbucks, then to Borders, then home, then to work and have it connect seamlessly (like it has, perfectly until now) then what is the point?
Especially since the MacBook Air HAS NO ETHERNET! This situation renders the MacBook Air utterly USELESS in about half the places one would try to use it.
Apple - SURELY this is not what you had in mind.

I've tried everything possible, look at a million youtube vids, ALOT of guides to fix this but NOTHING works.. i ALWAYS get the same error(3914) when trying to update/restore my iphone. its really frustating me now.
(trying to update my ipod from 4.3.2 -> 5.1.1 and no i do not want 6.0+
Can someone please tell me other ways to fix this, otherwise just wasted $500
Thank you.Apple only supports going to the latest iOS for you device when you restore or update. For the iPhone 3GS and later that is iOS 6.1.3. If you try to go to an earlier iOS you get the error you are receiving.

Sick To Death With BT - 30+ Restarts A Day !!
I'm experiencing awful problems with my BB Connection. The line continually drops for no reason and I have to restart the Hub(2) anything up to 30 times a day. I've spent endless hours on the line to India who have suggested the line might be at fault and promised an Engineer visit - NOTHING - ZILCH.
A friend connected his Laptop to my hub and the same problems occur
Has anybody any idea please. I've heard it suggested that McAffee might be the problem. I deleted it and cleared the Registry downplease can you post the adsl stats from your router may need to 'show detail' to get all stats (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser and navigate to adsl or use a-z, if netgear enter 192.168.0.1) and run btspeedtester http://speedtester.bt.com and post the results.
are you connected to the NTE5 master or test socket or somewhere else? Do you have any phone extension sockets in your home?
Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone

Just getting sick to death with Safari
Nower days I am getting crash after crash.
I cannot goto www.pcworld.co.uk It crashes
I cannot view my bill on BT.com as it crashes.
There seems to be more and more things I cannot goto because they crash.
The way I see it, Safari may well be the most web compliant. But there are so many sites not compliant that its more important a browser is robust.

how can I just get my old itunes back. I am not going to continue uninstalling and reinstalling the new version. I had it on my computer, and for some reason it crashed and I started this commotion. I have uninstalled and reinstalled with the help of Fix It and advice from many people. Every time I get a new error. Sick to death of it. I only need it to sync my apps to my phone and to use iCloud.
If anyone can get me back to some other version that I can use, I would really appreciate it.

Sick of apps not syncing... What next?
I am sick to death of my apps not syncing/downloading between my devices.
In summary: iPhone 4s and an iPad. Both on same apple id and both have iCloud turned on and the apps, books and music sliders in settings>store are on across both devices.
My apps will sometimes appear on my iPhone when purchased on my iPad but will NEVER appear on my iPad when purchased from my phone. I have even set a new password so that it meets the new requirements for passwords thereby containing uppercase, lowercase, numbers and characters but nothing.
I have taken both devices to "out of the box" state but nothing works.
I need this to work but it fails to do so and I am now running out of ideas as to what to do next.

Is it in iTunes that something is going wrong or am I clutching at straws?I am having the same problem too!!!! I spent 2 hours on the phone with apple care last night, another 4 hours this morning and 3 hours in the store this evening. The store got it working temporarily and then I got home and it stoped working. I believe itunes isn't keeping the passwords logged in and it's preventing the devices from syncing becuase it works if I log into check my acct from each device and then quickly download something. I have a ticket with the engineers, so hopefully i hear back soon.

Adobe Creative Cloud application manager asks for daily login
Hi,
While I am I am at home or work, I can easily login to my Adobe Cloud services, in two months I'm going to be on a boat in the middle of nowhere with little, if any, Internet access. I will need to use this software offline for about a week and I need to nip this problem in the bud now.
Why am I being asked to login daily? This started after the credit card I was using for the monthly fee was stolen and I waited for its replacement. During that time my account was suspended but has since been updated, charged, and things should be back to normal with my new credit card but they are not.
Can anyone please tell me how to fix this?

I am leaving at 0600 tomorrow morning for 10 days and i have no use of the adobe tools when i am not connected to the internet. i told the rep khahil or whatever his name was and he said something along the lines of the problem with my account does not matter because i have a payment due in june and i asked him twice what that has to do with anything and he never replied.
i am sick to death of the good for nothing reps. they do not understand english. they do not seem to care (at least the ones I've had the misfortune of working with). when i tell one of them to call me at 10am CDT and he calls me not once, not twice but 4 times after I've told him when I am available and he cannot seem to do it.
I updated the installer. I have done everything I was told to do or suggested I do and this 'cloud' service is not what i am paying for. i am paying for something that works as advertised and this comes no where near it. no where does the plan's fine print say that i must maintain a constant connection to the internet for the tools/applications to work.
no where does the terms and conditions say that i need to log in every time i reboot my computer or lose my internet connectivity. if this is the future of adobe...i am not looking forward to it. forcing all users to this rental software model is insane especially when it does not work...and mine clearly does not work.
so now i am leaving on a trip with no lightroom and no photoshop and after i began working on this a month ago with you. i made the mistake of trusting your technical support people to know their business and to handle your clients with some sense of urgency.
when i return, i will be calling your executive offices and i will tell them in detail how frustrating this whole process has been which has only been aggrevated with your poor technical support team. Jeff...I honestly feel like you're the only Adobe representative that I have talked to up to this date that actually gives a flying flip about my experience. the people i have been handed off to both in chat, on the phone, and the other tech i've talked to on this forum who told me that my problem "doesn't matter" and never responded to my last question posted yesterday afternoon, clearly do not care about anyone.
count me as VERY UNHAPPY with Creative Cloud as a product and my opinion is it is a failure and a waste of my money. I should have bought the disc version and not gone down this 'rental software' route.

Ok, i have had this software running once, all i get over and over and over, is Imedia Control error blah blah, tried running pc cleaner 3.5, tried all settings, OVER AND OVER AND OVER, tried re-installing, OVER AND OVER AND OVER.
I HATE THIS SOFTWARE, NOKIA YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!
Errors, ImediaControl2? or No valid conections found please reinstall Pcsuite, no WAY!, ive installed it like 100 times.
I have tried several fixes from all over the net, this one that worked ONCE...
1. Unininstall Nokia PC Suite and the cable drivers (if exist) + Nokia PC Connectivity Solutions from Control Panel -> Add/Remove Program.
2. Reboot computer.
3. Run Nokia Register Clean with option ‘I receive an error message’. The program can be downloaded from here
4. Run Nokia Register Clean from above again but now select ‘Other problem’.
5. Reboot the computer.
6. Check the permission in the registry with command: regedit -> under Start -> Run -> for the following paths;
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\PCSuite
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Nokia
To check permission you rightclick on the folder and select ‘Permissions’. Make sure all users/groups are set to full access on on the paths above.
7. Reboot the computer.
8. Install Nokia PC Connectivity Solution from C:\Documents and Settings”your_username”\Local Settings\Temp\Nokia_PC_Connectivity_Solution.msi
The folder Local Settings can be hidden. In that case press Tools -> Folder Option -> View -> Mark “Show hidden files and folders”.

Now my question is, what do i do to get this running, or is there another way i can connect and skip this pile of rubbish all together, i am sick to death of this software.
