Side duct for Northy, is it worth?

Well, I know side ducting is one of the best thermal solution for Prescott.
How is the effect for Northwood? Anybody have tried?
(It is intake, am I right? Is it always need a intake fan on side ducting? How about the passive setup -no fan, only duct pipe-, so the CPU fan that will suck air from outside?)

It's worth!
First, I open my case side, running Prime95 Large FFT... I'm dissapointed, difference only about 1-3 C.
Then, I made a duct pipe and install it (case still open)... great! Temp difference is about 7-8C! With my setup (see my sig), temp is between 49-51 (peak is 53, but only in seconds and rarely) and it's only with 2300 RPM.
I tried to increase FSB=260, vcore=1.625, and temp is the same with my original setup (case closed without duct). Good.
The sad news is with vcore=1.625, I still can't hit FSB 265 (3.71GHz) .

Im trying to activate one master data infoobject. But it says the error like below
The SID Table /BI0/SBBP_DELREF must be converted incompatibly with an activation of characteristic 0BBP_DELREF (changes to the key in the table). Table /BI0/SBBP_DELREF contains data. Parts of this data were lost in the conversion.
or
Undo the changes that led to the incompatible conversion (the changes in the key) or delete all data from table /BI0/SBBP_DELREF.
So how can i adjust the SID table for this .

Hi,
you'll have to delete ALL the master data for this IObj. Therfore you'll have to
delete all data in ALL the IObjs using 0BBP_DELREF (ODS, CUbes and characteristics).
Then activate your IObj. You will go through some step which I explained in the
following thread

Extract:
1. Delete 0COMP_CODE master data.
- get objects list using 0COMP_CODE with loaded data: I suggest to delete
master data via AWB (right click the characteristic). If it can't be deleted because
it is used display the deletion log (via AWB or tx SLG1 / RSDMD, MD_DEL).
- delete loaded data for the list above.
This should not be too much since you are in DEV.
2. change 0COMP_CODE length
- change the length to 4;
*- Activate your IObj. You'll get a popup log, validate. Activate despite warning and
errors. You will get An error message, validate.
You should get an horizontal pane with the activation log. Read it for your personal culture but if you don't have time then don't...
- Next the system will prompt to convert the tables: answer YES. The system will ask to schedule the table conv. in the background, go4it.
- next is the SE14 screen for the P table: Hit Activate and adjust (Direct
execution, or in the back as you wish). Answer yes to the mass processing
question and yes (again) for request adjust online. Your table should be converted successfully.
- go back twice from this screen (leaving SE14 tx and return to RSD1). reread the update log if you wish.
- repeat from the *- above... it will perform the very same for all other P tables of IObj using 0COMP_CODE and the 0COMP_CODE S table.
Your IObj is reactivated again. So should your ODS/DSO objects (check activate for example). Cube didn't need to convert tables since the MDID is note posted in any table of a cube.
Please note that once your IObj is in revised version you can perform the same via the menu extras / database table / convert all (see my previous post).
Now you have to evaluate the task. Of course that is a work to fix the mistake.
Depending on when it has be changed it may be worth to restore your DEV sys with a backup (loose work performed from the backup until now).

Error in load master data from flat file to infocube "No SID found for val"

Hi gurus
while i m loding data from ffile to infocube. getting error message "No SID found for value 'HOT ' of characteristic 0UNIT" for material name field .
in flat file one fileld having lower carrecter so i have defined formula for upper case in transfer rule.
after scheduleing message is "data was requested". but in monitor-> detail-> request, extraction status is green and transfer , processing ststus are red.
overall status is red.

It appears your transfer structure and source file are not mapped correctly. Make sure your source file is in the correct format. TRy the "preview" function to make sure.
Also, is the file and your log on language the same? For instance is the file from a GErman user but you are logged in in English? You will see errors like that when you use ST (Stuck = Pieces) instead of PC (Peices in English)
To test a bad mapping, hard code the Unit to something to make sure...(to PC for instance).
Also, the error message you are getting is because of transfer structure, please re-activate it. IF it persists, try to skip the PSA and go straight to the data target.

Diagnosis
Characteristic value GB does not exist in the master data table of characteristic 0CURRENCY. Therefore, this value could not be transformed into the internal SID.
Procedure
Check whether the value is correct or not. If it is correct, you need to generate the associated master data. Note: For characteristics 0FISCVARNT, 0FISCPER and 0FISCYEAR, there must be a corresponding fiscal year variant (see table T009). In addition, there must be units in table The value for 0FISCPER must be valid according to the fiscal year variants. This means that only the periods 0 to (no. of normal periods + special periods) are allowed. I followed the steps:
Goto to RSA1-> Source systems--> Transfer Globle settings and Select Currencie, Ubits and Fiscal year, Factor...etc and select Update
Just would like to check with you, currently we are extracting data from SRM & SAP R/3 system.
I got the error while doing the data loading for SRM system. I did the above steps for both systems.
Is that anything else, i need to do....
Currently i am going to do the master data load, then i will do the transaction data & check with the currency error.
could you please elaborate the steps
1)How to check 0currency is getting updated in our system.
2) how to verify custom z program used
3) How to maintain the currency manually in BW.

iam loading to ODS from flat file and iam getting the error"No SID found for value '000 ' of characteristic 0UNIT ". to be more clear the load is taking place and the activation of ods is not taking place .
we added a new key figure to ods and when we add the data of the new field to the flat file we are getting this error . but when we load with the files which does not contain data to the new key figure its successfull .
can some one guide me how to resolve it.

I am getting this above error message 'No SID found for value '0CURR' of characteristic 0CURRENCY' when i am trying to load data in my cube from an ODS.
For the Keyfigure that is using the currency i had to write the following routine in the Update Rule fo rthe Keyfigure:

l_MZPLP2 LIKE /BIC/PMMAT_PLNT-/BIC/MZPLP2.

Also i checked the 'UNIT CALCULATION IN THE ROUTINE' box.

the error message normally indicates the value is not exist in table currency/unit
Note 619987 - No SID for the 0UNIT or 0CURRENCY characteristic
you can try transfer unit and currency from r/3, rsa1-> source system->right click 'transfer global setting', mark 'currency' and 'unit of measurement' (fiscal year and factory calendar also) and option 'update tables' and execute.
you need to schedule this update, better daily before the transaction data load, to do this, from same screen go to menu program and schedule in background.

If you do not find the value in the T006 or TCURC table, you must insert it. Note that the initial value is always allowed.
If you nevertheless receive this error message for the initial value, this means that there is an inconsistency in the SID table for the 0UNIT or 0CURRENCY characteristic. You can eliminate this inconsistency by calling the RSDMD_INITIAL_LINE_INSERT function module with I_CHABASNM = 0UNIT or 0CURRENCY.
If units are loaded in the external format, you must either convert these into the internal format in the transfer or update rules or change the extractor/file.The CONVERSION_EXIT_CUNIT_INPUT function module converts the external value of a unit into the internal value.

How to Disable client side validation for the message text input

Hi,
I have scenario where i need to by pass the client side validation for a message text input
Scenario is
I have a message text input field(say XYZ), i set the max length for the item as 20
Now when im trying to enter the greek characters into it, it is allowing me to enter till 20 characters
But when i try to submit the form ..my client side validation is firing..
The Error says the XYZ is too long
The problem is, in greek each character takes two bytes.(In english it is only 1).While entering the content it allowing 20 characters and when validating it is checking for bytes(if we enter in greek the length will be 40 bytes not 20)
I cannot increase the max length .coz i have restrict the character length to 20 only.(english or Greek).
Please help me in this regard.

Regarding your case ..
It because there is no unit's name called Day ..
What you've done is you need to confirm whether it's because the human error/new unit of measurement (UOM).
If it's human error, you need to fix it from the source then you fetch it back ..
If it's because of new unit of measurement, you need to maintain this UOM in R/3 then you need to import it into BW:
1. tcode: RSA1
2. Go to R/3 node then right-click on there
3. Transfer Global Settings (click into there in the context menu).
4. Choose for UOM migrations.

As Aneesh said, first Check the table T006 for the record for 'BOX' unit. If it is not there you have to do Replcation of Units from source system.
It does not affect the data existing in datatargets. It simply update the table T006.
Then after also check the table T006 for this record.

I was hoping to use Azure's server-side authentication for a HTML/JS web app. Some things are a bit unclear. For example, if a new user authenticates via Facebook, I want to create an associated record on the server-side and associate extra data with the
user, irrespective of the service used to log in. If they log in again, I want the client to be able to get this extra data (eg preferences) from the server. On the back-end, I also want to be able to update particular fields of this record that the user cannot
change themselves. I know how to go about this in a plain Node.js backend, but not sure how some of these basic things map to using Azure's services.

Once the user logs in, you will have their information available to your server scripts. So one option is to use a custom API (or a Mobile Services Table) to insert/read/update the user data. You would protect this endpoint so that only logged-in users can
access it, and then access the
user object to obtain an ID an associate it in a table row. Lookups could be performed by similarly querying for the ID.
In terms of some fields being restricted, you could remove these from the update request itself.

Procedure for System Administration

Did you try running CUNI transaction & maintaing the units? You can check the characteristic 0BASE_UOM for attributes, text and hierarchy, load the master data types which are available to that object. Else, Use RSRV. There is a special option for repairing SIDs for units. If this doesn't solve, replicate the UoMs from the source system. Right click on the source system and select transfer global settings. 0BASE_UOM could not be the same as normal infoobject in NA category, possible the values are picked up from the UoM customizing.
Also, use this with caution : Function Module RRSI_VAL_SID_SINGLE_CONVERT; Hope this solves the case.

3. Error 4 in the update
even i found , at update tab it was checked : update if no master data exists.
i loaded once again ,,,getting same error..

Some times we cant trace based on the details given on the details Tab....
Did u checked the error by doing the following steps...
RSMO>Details>Right Click on 'Record 496 :No SID found for value 'ZDP ' of characteristic 0PO_UNIT ' and say Help for node or display messages....
It gives u clear cut message where the exact error lies...Based on this Go to PSA and filter the erroneous records and edit....
Let me know if there r any clarifications..
